Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh kongruensi karir anak dengan orang tua terhadap adaptabilitas karir melalui mediasi efikasi diri dalam pengambilan keputusan karir pada mahasiswa. Data penelitian berasal dari 551 partisipan mahasiswa S1 yang sedang menjalani perkuliahan di semester 6 atau lebih. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner yang disebarkan secara daring dengan menggunakan tiga macam skala, Career Adapt-Abilities Scale, Adolescent Parent Career Congruence, dan Career Decision Self-Efficacy Short Form yang sudah diadaptasi ke dalam Bahasa Indonesia. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan macro PROCESS dari Hayes. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan tidak adanya pengaruh langsung dari kongruensi karir anak dengan orang tua terhadap adaptabiltias karir (c’ = -0,0019; p > 0,05). Sementara itu, hubungan dari kongruensi karir anak-orang tua dengan adaptabilitas karir akan meningkat dengan adanya peran mediator dari efikasi diri pengambilan keputusan karir (indirect effect = 0,1272). Implikasi, limitasi, serta saran untu penelitian selanjutnya didiskusikan.

 


This study aims to examine the effect of adolescent-parent career congruence on career adaptability through mediation of career decision self-efficacy for undergraduate students. The research data came from 551 undergraduate student participants who were undergoing lectures in the 6th semester or more. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire distributed online using three kinds of scales, Career Adapt-Abilities Scale, Adolescent-Parent Career Congruence, and Career Decision Self-Efficacy Short Form that was adapted into Indonesian. Data analysis was performed using PROCESS macros from Hayes. The results of the study showed that there was no direct effect of adolescent-parent career congruence on career adaptability (c’ = -0,0019; p > 0,05). Meanwhile, the relationship of adolescent-parent career congruence and career adaptability will increase with mediation through career decision self efficacy (indirect effect = 0,1272). Implications, limitations, and suggestions for further research are discussed.

"ABSTRAK
Penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya telah membuktikan hubungan keterlibatan dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dan adaptabilitas karier tetapi menunjukkan hasil yang berbeda-beda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat peran efikasi diri pengambilan keputusan karier dalam memediasi hubungan keterlibatan dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dan adaptabilitas karier pada mahasiswa. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu, Career Adapt-Abilities Scale (CAAS), Extracurricular Involvement Inventory (EII), dan Career Decision Self-Efficacy Scale-Short Form (CDSE-SF) yang telah diadaptasi ke bahasa Indonesia. Uji statistik dari 116 partisipan menunjukkan bahwa efikasi diri pengambilan keputusan karier memediasi secara penuh hubungan antara keterlibatan dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dan adaptabilitas karier dengan direct effect tidak signifikan (c = 0,30, p,05) dan indirect effect signifikan (c = 1,28, p,05). Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa individu yang terlibat dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler akan memiliki efikasi diri pengambilan keputusan karier yang lebih tinggi yang mana individu dengan efikasi diri pengambilan keputusan karier yang tinggi akan lebih siap untuk menghadapi tugas, peran, dan tantangan kariernya.

ABSTRACT
Previous studies have proven the relationship of participation in extracurricular activities and career adaptability but show different results.This study aims to look at the role of career decision self-efficacy in mediating the relationship of participation in extracurricular activities and career adaptability among higher education student. The instruments that used in this study were Career Adaptation Capability Scale (CAAS), Inventory of Extracurricular Involvement (EII), and Career Scale Self-Efficacy Career Decisions-Short Forms (CDSE-SF) that have been adapted into Indonesian. The statistical test of 116 participants showed that career decision self-efficacy fully mediated the relationships between extracurricular activities involvement and career adaptations with insignificant direct effects (c = 0.30, p .05) and significant indirect effects (c = 1.28, p .05). These results indicate that individuals involved in extracurricular activities will have higher career decision self-efficacy where individuals with high career decision self-efficacy will be better prepared for the needs of their duties, roles, and career struggles.

"Siswa yang memiliki efikasi diri dalam keputusan karier akan yakin dengan kemampuannya untuk melakukan tugas-tugas yang dibutuhkan dalam memilih jurusan kuliah yang tepat. Tinggi rendahnya keyakinan siswa tidak terlepas dari peran orang tua seperti harapan dan dukungan terkait karier. Siswa cenderung mematuhi orang tua karena budaya kolektivis di Indonesia menekankan pentingnya hubungan sosial yang harmonis. Di sisi lain, kepatuhan tersebut dapat membuat siswa merasa tertekan dan terpaksa memilih jurusan yang salah. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 349 siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas Kelas 12. Harapan karier orang tua diukur menggunakan subskala Perceived Parental Expectation pada faktor academic achievement (PPE-AA) dari alat ukur The Living up to Parental Expectation Inventory (LPEI), kongruensi karier remaja-orang tua diukur menggunakan Adolescent-Parent Career Congruence Scale (APCCS), dan efikasi diri dalam keputusan karier diukur menggunakan Career Decision Self-Efficacy Short Form (CDSE-SF). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi siswa terhadap harapan karier orang tua dan kongruensi dengan orang tua mengenai karier dapat meningkatkan efikasi diri siswa dalam keputusan karier secara bersama-sama, F (2,346) = 41,011, p<0,001. Persepsi siswa mengenai kongruensi karier dengan orang tua lebih mampu meningkatkan efikasi diri siswa dalam keputusan karier dibanding persepsi terhadap harapan karier orang tua. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, orang tua diharapkan terlibat secara aktif dan mendukung karier siswa secara kongruen untuk membantu siswa merasa lebih yakin ketika memutuskan karier.

Students with career decision self-efficacy will believe in their capabilities to do various tasks needed in choosing the right college major. Student’s level of belief is related to their parents’ behavior such as expectations and support regarding career. Indonesia’s collectivist culture emphasizes the importance of harmonious social relations, making students tend to obey their parents. But obedience can also make students feel pressured and forced to choose the wrong major. The total of participants in this study amounts to 349 high school students in grade 12. Parental career expectations are measured by the Perceived Parental Expectation subscale on academic achievement (PPE-AA) from The Living up to Parental Expectation Inventory (LPEI), adolescent-parent career congruence is measured by Adolescent-Parent Career Congruence Scale (APCCS), and career decision self-efficacy is measured by Career Decision Self-Efficacy Short Form (CDSE-SF). The result of this study indicates that student’s perceptions towards parental career expectations and career congruence between them and their parents simultaneously can increase student’s career decision self-efficacy,
F (2,346) = 41,011, p<0,001. Student’s perceptions of career congruence with their parents are more capable of increasing student’s career decision self-efficacy when compared to student’s perceptions towards parental career expectations. Based on these findings, parents are expected to be actively involved and give congruent support in helping students to be more confident in making career decisions.

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji peran dari persepsi gaya pengasuhan orang tua pada efikasi-diri dalam pengambilan keputusan karir melalui mediasi trait kecerdasan emosi pada siswa SMK. Responden dari penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 702 siswa SMK kelas 12. Penelitian ini menggunakan tiga alat ukur yang telah diadaptasi ke Bahasa Indonesia yaitu Career Decision Self Efficacy-Short Form, Parental Authority Questionnaire dan Trait Emotional Questionnaire. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik regresi berganda dan model mediasi sederhana PROCESS Hayes. Hasil pengujian analisis regresi menunjukkan bahwa gaya pengasuhan authoritative ayah, authoritative ibu, authoritarian ayah, serta trait kecerdasan emosi terbukti signifikan memiliki peran pada efikasi-diri keputusan karir. Hasil analisis mediasi menunjukkan bahwa gaya pengasuhan authoritative ayah dan ibu terbukti signifikan dan positif memiliki peran pada efikasi diri dalam pengambilan karir melalui mediasi parsial trait kecerdasan emosi. Selain itu, gaya pengasuhan authoritarian ayah dan ibu terbukti signifikan secara negatif memiliki peran pada efikasi-diri keputusan karir melalui mediasi parsial trait kecerdasan emosi. Sedangkan gaya pengasuhan permissive ayah dan ibu tidak terbukti signifikan memiliki peran pada efikasi-diri keputusan karir melalui mediasi trait kecerdasan emosi. Saran untuk penelitian selanjutnya dan implikasi terhadap pihak terkait didiskusikan dalam akhir penelitian.

This study aimed to examine the role of perceived parenting styles on career decision self-efficacy through mediation of trait emotional intelligence in vocational high school students. The respondents of the study were 702 students in 12 grade. The adapted Career Decision Self Efficacy-Short Form, Parental Authority Questionnaire, and Trait Emotional Questionnaire were used in this study. The data were analysed using multiple regression and Hayes PROCESS simple mediation model. Regression analyses showed that paternal and maternal authoritative parenting styles, paternal authoritarian, and trait emotional intelligence significantly predicting career decision self-efficacy. Mediation analyses showed that trait emotional intelligence partially and positively mediated the effect of paternal and maternal authoritative parenting styles on career decision self-efficacy trait emotional intelligence partially and negatively mediated the effect of paternal and maternal authoritarian parenting styles on career decision self-efficacy. The results also showed that trait emotional intelligence did not significantly mediated the effect of paternal and maternal permissive parenting styles on career decision self-efficacy. The implication for further research are given on the end of study.

"Tesis ini membahas pengaruh sumber-sumber efikasi diri pengambilan keputusan karier dan efikasi diri pengambilan keputusan karier terhadap adaptabilitas karier remaja. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain analisis jalur menggunakan teknik analisis regresi dengan melibatkan 305 partisipan dari dua universitas swasta di Jakarta Barat. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa sumber-sumber efikasi diri memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap efikasi diri pengambilan keputusan karier, efikasi diri pengambilan keputusan karier memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap adaptabilitas karier remaja, sumber-sumber efikasi diri memengaruhi adaptabilitas karier melalui efikasi diri pengambilan keputusan karier. Juga ditemukan bahwa tiga dari lima sumber efikasi diri, yakni verbal and social persuasion, mastery experiences dan positive emotional arousal memengaruhi adaptabilitas karier, sementara dua sumber lainnya, yakni vicarious learning dan negative emotional arousal tidak memberikan pengaruh signifikan.

The purpose of this study is to understand the influence of sources of self-eficacy and career decision making self-efficacy to adolescence career adaptability. This is a quantitative research with a path analysis and simple regression techniques using 305 participants from two private universities in West Jakarta, Indonesia. The result showed a significant influence of sources of self-efficacy to career decision making self-efficacy, significant influence of career decision making self-efficacy to career adaptability, significant influence of self-efficacy to career adaptability through career decision making self-efficacy. The result also showed that only three among five sources of self-efficacy that have a significant influence to career adaptability : verbal and social persuasion, mastery experiences and positive emotional arousal, meanwhile two other sources: vicarious learning and negative emotional arousal did not have any significant influence. "

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah terdapat hubungan antara optimisme dan efikasi diri pengambilan keputusan karir pada mahasiswa program Diploma III Kebidanan di Indonesia. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini merupakan mahasiswa program Diploma III Kebidanan tingkat 2 dan 3 yang berjumlah 571 orang dari akademi kebidanan yang terakreditasi A dan B di Provinsi DKI Jakarta, Banten, Jawa Barat, dan Sumatera Barat. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah convenience sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara optimisme dan efikasi diri pengambilan keputusan karir (r=+.203, n=571, p<.01, two tails). Terdapat temuan lain yaitu kepuasan hidup, aspek kontekstual berupa dukungan sosial, dan self-efficacy merupakan prediktor tinggi atau rendahnya skor efikasi diri pengambilan keputusan karir.

This study examined the correlation between optimism and career decision self-efficacy on midwifery college student in Indonesia. 571 Senior year midwifery college student (grade 2 & 3) was participated from midwifery academy which have A and B acreditation in DKI Jakarta, Banten, Jawa Barat, and Sumatera Barat Province was taken by convenience sampling technique. The result indicated significant correlation between optimism and career decision self-efficacy (r=+.203, n=571, p<.01, two tails). Furthermore, another result also revealed that life satisfaction, contextual factor such social support, and self-efficacy as predictor of high or low career decision self-efficacy score.

"ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah terdapat hubungan antara adolescent-parent career congruence dan efikasi diri pengambilan keputusan karier pada siswa kelas X SMA. Dalam penelitian ini, adolescent-parent career congruence divariasikan menjadi adolescent-father career congruence dan adolescent-mother career congruence karena ada perbedaan peran ayah dan ibu. Partisipan penelitian berjumlah 176 siswa kelas X SMA yang telah menerapkan kurikulum 2013 di Depok dengan teknik accidental sampling.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan baik adolescentfather career congruence maupun adolescent-mother career congruence dengan efikasi diri pengambilan keputusan karier. Akan tetapi, tidak ditemukan perbedaan antara adolescent-father career congruence dan adolescent-mother career congruence. Hasil penelitian didiskusikan lebih lanjut kaitannya dengan teori dan penelitian sebelumnya.

ABSTRACT
This study examined correlation between adolescent-parent career congruence and career decision making self efficacy from first entry high school student. Based on existing role differences between father and mother, adolescent-parent congruence is divided into adolescent-father career congruence and adolescent-mother career congruence mother. There are 176 high school students who participated in this study origin from school which has implemented curriculum of 2013 in Depok by accidental sampling technique.
The results showed that there were significant positive relationships both adolescent-father career congruence and adolescentmother career congruence with career decision making self efficacy. However, no differences were found between adolescent-father career congruence and adolescent-mother career congruence. The results are discussed further in relation to theory and previous research."

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh pola asuh orangtua terhadap efikasi-diri dalam pengambilan keputusan karier melalui mediasi kepribadian proaktif pada siswa SMA. Sebanyak 949 data responden terkumpul dengan menggunakan tiga macam skala, Career Decision Self-Efficacy-Short Form, Parental Authority Questionnaire, dan Proactive Personality Scale, yang sudah diadaptasi ke dalam bahasa Indonesia. Data dianalisis menggunakan macro PROCESS dari Hayes. Secara keseluruhan, hasil uji menunjukkan bahwa pola asuh otoritatif dari ayah dapat berpengaruh terhadap efikasi-diri dalam pengambilan keputusan karier secara langsung maupun tidak langsung melalui kepribadian proaktif; pola asuh otoritarian ayah dan ibu, serta pola asuh permisif ibu berpengaruh terhadap efikasi-diri dalam pengambilan keputusan karier hanya melalui mediasi kepribadian proaktif; sedangkan pola asuh permisif ayah tidak dapat berpengaruh terhadap efikasi-diri dalam pengambilan keputusan karier baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung melalui mediasi kepribadian proaktif. Implikasi, limitasi, dan saran untuk penelitian selanjutnya didiskusikan.

ABSTRACT
This study aimed to examine the influence of parenting styles on career decision self efficacy through the mediation of proactive personality in senior high school students. A total of 949 data respondent were collected by using three scales Career Decision Self Efficacy Scale Short Form, Parental Authority Questionnaire, and Proactive Personality Scale, that have been adapted to Indonesian. The data were analyzed using macro PROCESS from Hayes. Overall, test results showed that authoritative parenting styles from father affects career decision self efficacy directly and indirectly through the proactive personality mothers rsquo authoritative parenting style affects the career decision self efficacy directly authoritarian parenting styles from both father and mother, as well as mothers rsquo permissive parenting style only affect the career decision self efficacy through the proactive personality while fathers rsquo permissive parenting style did not affect the career decision self efficacy directly or indirectly through the proactive personality. Implications, limitations, and suggestions for future study are discussed."

"Lulusan SMK menyumbangkan angka pengangguran tertinggi di Indonesia. Penyebab tingginya angka pengangguran tersebut adalah rendahnya keyakinan diri pada siswa SMK dan kebingungan dalam menentukan karir yang tepat sehingga menyebabkan kesulitan dalam pengambilan keputusan karir. Fenomena ini berkaitan dengan efikasi diri dalam pengambilan keputusan karir (CDSE) yang dimiliki seseorang. CDSE dapat dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, dua diantaranya adalah kecerdasan emosional (EI) dan kepribadian proaktif (PP).
Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui apakah EI dan PP berpengaruh terhadap CDSE pada siswa SMK kelas 12. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 866 siswa kelas 12 yang berasal dari 9 SMK di Jakarta dan Depok. Pengukuran dilakukan dengan Career Decision Self-Efficacy Scale Short Form, Trait Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire, dan Proactive Personality Scale.
Analisis regresi berganda yang dilakukan dengan mengkontrol variabel jenis kelamin dan usia menunjukan hasil bahwa EI dan PP memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap CDSE (F(1,865) = 65,510, p=0,000, <0,001) dengan koefisien determinan sebesar 0,229. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa 22,9% varians CDSE dapat dijelaskan oleh EI dan PP. Hasil analisis juga menunjukan bahwa PP (β=0,406) diketahui memiliki pengaruh yang lebih besar terhadap CDSE dibandingkan dengan EI (β=0,160).

Vocational high school graduates contribute the highest unemployment rates in Indonesia. Some of the cause of high unemployment rate are the low self-confidence in vocational students and confusion in determining the right career which causes difficulties in making career decisions. This phenomenon is related to career decision making self-efficacy (CDSE) that someone has. CDSE can be influenced by various factors, two of which are emotional intelligence (EI) and proactive personality (PP).
This study aims to find out the effect of EI and PP on CDSE in 12th grade vocational high school students. Participants in this study were 866 12th grade students from 9 vocational high schools in Jakarta and Depok. The measurements used are Career Decision Self-Efficacy Scale Short Form, Trait Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire, and Proactive Personality Scale. Multiple regression analysis conducted to see the effect of EI and PP on CDSE with gender and age as control variables.
The result showed that the EI and PP had a positive and significant contribution to CDSE (F (1,865) = 65,510, p = 0,000, <0,001) with determinant coefficient of 0,229. This shows that 22.9% of CDSE variants can be explained by EI and PP. The results of the analysis also showed that PP (β = 0.406) was known to have a greater effect on CDSE compared to EI (β = 0.160).

"Mahasiswa yang sedang memasuki periode realistis dalam tahap perkembangan karier masih memiliki tingkat adaptabilitas karier rendah. Faktor eksternal yang sangat memengaruhi adaptabilitas karier pada mahasiswa adalah dukungan teman sebaya, dimana mahasiswa lebih banyak menghabiskan waktu bersama teman sebayanya untuk saling memberikan informasi dan saran karier, dukungan emosional, serta menjadikan teman sebagai panutan dalam hal yang berkaitan dengan karier. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran mediasi oleh efikasi diri pengambilan keputusan karier (CDSE) pada pengaruh dukungan teman sebaya terhadap adaptabilitas karier kepada mahasiswa. CDSE dipilih sebagai mediator karena adaptabilitas karier dapat ditingkatkan melalui sumber-sumber efikasi diri. Responden adalah mahasiswa tingkat akhir yang sedang kuliah di Jabodetabek (N = 538) dengan teknik pengambilan data berupa convenience sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen Career-Adapt-Abilities Scale, Career-Related Peer Support, dan Career Decision Self Efficacy - Short Form yang telah diadaptasi ke dalam Bahasa Indonesia. Hasil uji mediasi menunjukkan bahwa efikasi diri dalam pengambilan keputusan karier memediasi secara penuh pengaruh dukungan teman sebaya terhadap adaptabilitas karier (c = 0,247; p < 0,001). Dukungan teman sebaya sebagai faktor eksternal tidak cukup untuk meningkatkan adaptabilitas karier, namun diperlukan adanya faktor internal untuk meningkatkan adaptabilitas karier mahasiswa, dimana dalam hal ini diwadahi oleh CDSE. College students are in a realistic period in the career development stage, but in reality, the level of students’ career adaptability is still low. The external factor that greatly influences the career adaptability of students is peer support, where students spend more time with their peers for providing information and career suggestions to each other, emotional support, and being role models in matters related to careers. College students tend to spend most of their time with peers to exchange career information and suggestions, emotional support, and peers as their role models in a career-related setting. This present study aims to analyze the mediating role of career decision self-efficacy (CDSE) on the effect of peer support on career adaptability to college students. CDSE was chosen as moderator because career adaptability can be enhanced through self-efficacy sources. Participants are final year students in Jabodetabek (N = 538) and data was collected using convenience sampling techniques. This study was using Career Adapt-Abilities Scale, Career-Related Peer Support, and Career Decision Self-Efficacy - Short Form that have been translated to Bahasa. Mediation analysis shows that career decision self-efficacy fully mediated peer support on career adaptability (c = 0,247; p < 0,001). Peer support as an external factor is not sufficient enough to enhance career adaptability, but internal factor is needed to enhance career adaptability, which is career decision self-efficacy. Another discussion, suggestions, and limitations will be discussed."
