"Latar belakang: Individu transgender pada satu waktu akan menjalani transisi gender karena rasa tidak nyaman terhadap dirinya. Namun, proses transisi ini tidak mudah karena ada faktor internal dan eksternal yang dihadapi individu transgender. Tantangan tersebut membuat individu transgender rentan mengalami gangguan mental akibat sulitnya tercapai proses transisi yang diinginkannya. Walaupun, individu transgender sudah melakukan transisi, individu tersebut juga rentan mengalami stigma dan diskriminasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai kebutuhan layanan psikiatri pada individu transgender di Indonesia yang menjalani proses transisi gender, serta memahami faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Metode: Studi ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei, melibatkan populasi transgender di Indonesia sebagai subjek penelitian. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang mengukur karakteristik sosiodemografis, proses transisi gender, dukungan keluarga, pengalaman kekerasan, penggunaan layanan kesehatan psikiatri, dan dilengkapi dengan pertanyaan terbuka.Hasil: Dari 121 subjek menunjukkan variasi dalam karakteristik sosiodemografis dan proses transisi gender pada populasi transgender di Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan faktor internal, seperti tingkat pendidikan (p=0,003), mempengaruhi pilihan transisi. Individu dengan pendidikan setara kuliah lebih sering memilih transisi medis dibandingkan mereka dengan pendidikan setara SMA ke bawah. Faktor eksternal, seperti dukungan keluarga (p=0,036) dan sikap tenaga medis (p=0,025), juga signifikan dalam menentukan jenis transisi. Sebagian besar subjek kesulitan mengakses informasi terkait transisi gender dan lebih sering berdiskusi dengan teman atau komunitas LGBTQ. Layanan psikiatri belum sepenuhnya diakses karena keterbatasan informasi. Namun, individu yang melakukan konseling psikiatri menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam menjalani transisi medis.Simpulan: Terdapat hubungan antara tingkat pendidikan, dukungan keluarga, dan diskriminasi tenaga medis terhadap proses transisi gender. Layanan psikiatri yang tersedia belum sepenuhnya diakses oleh individu transgender karena informasi yang kurang. Oleh karena itu, pentingnya dukungan psikiatri yang inklusif dan terjangkau bagi komunitas transgender.

Background: Transgender individuals often undergo gender transitions due to feelings of discomfort with their identity. However, the transition process is challenging due to internal and external factors faced by transgender individuals. These challenges make transgender individuals vulnerable to mental health disorders because of the difficulty in achieving their desired transition process. Even after transitioning, they remain at risk of stigma and discrimination. This study aims to assess the need for psychiatric services among transgender individuals in Indonesia undergoing gender transitions and understand the factors influencing these needs.

Method: This study employs a quantitative survey approach involving the transgender population in Indonesia as research subjects. Data were collected using questionnaires measuring sociodemographic characteristics, gender transition processes, family support, experiences of violence, and the use of psychiatric health services, supplemented with open-ended questions.

Results: Out of 121 subjects, the study revealed variations in the sociodemographic characteristics and gender transition processes within the transgender population in Indonesia. The findings show that internal factors, such as education level (p=0.003), influence transition choices. Individuals with college-level education are more likely to choose medical transitions compared to those with high school-level education or below. External factors, such as family support (p=0.036) and attitudes of healthcare providers (p=0.025), also significantly affect the type of transition. Most subjects face difficulties accessing information about gender transitions and often discuss their plans with friends or LGBTQ communities. Psychiatric services are not fully utilized due to a lack of information. However, individuals who undergo psychiatric counseling show significant improvements in undergoing medical transitions.

Conclusion: There is a relationship between education level, family support, and discrimination by healthcare providers in the gender transition process. Psychiatric services available to transgender individuals are underutilized due to insufficient information. Therefore, inclusive and accessible psychiatric support for the transgender community is essential."

"Penelitian ini betujuan untuk melihat bagaimana faktor-faktor penentu seseorang melakukan Coming Out sebagai transgender dari laki-laki menjadi ‘perempuan' melalui tokoh Eriko di dalam novel Kitchen. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori Coming out dari Deana F. Morrow (2006) sebagai konsep dasar penelitian. Dalam menganalisis, penulis menyertakan kutipan dari novel Kitchen, juga menyertakan artikel surat kabar dan artikel wawancara sebagai data. Dari hasil analisis ditemukan bahwa tokoh Eriko menentukan identitas gender barunya dengan alasan tekanan internal, tekanan eksternal, terbangunnya kepercayaan dan keterbukaan, untuk menjalani kehidupan yang autentik, dan kesediaan diri dalam menerima konsekuensi sebagai transgender. Selain itu, juga ditemukan kritik terhadap masyarakat Jepang terhadap transgender yang sering kali mendapat perlakuan diskriminatif.

This research aims to see how the determinants of a person's coming out as a transgender from male to "female" through Eriko's character in the novel Kitchen. The theory used in this research is Deana F. Morrow's Coming out Theory (2006) as the basic concept of the research. In the analysis, the author included quotations from the novel Kitchen, also newspaper articles and interview articles as data. The analysis, shows that Eriko's character determines her new gender identity due to internal pressure, external pressure, the establishment of trust and openness, and to live an authentic life, and the self-will to accept the consequences of being transgender. In addition, there is also criticism of Japanese society towards transgender people, who are often discriminated against.

"Meskipun individu transgender telah berjuang agar diterima dalam masyarakat, kini mereka lebih terlihat di dalam budaya populer terutama dalam film. The Danish Girl 2015 dan Dallas Buyers Club 2013 merupakan film-film Hollywood yang menampilkan peran transgender sebagai pemeran utama. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah menganalisa peran transgender, Einar Wegener Lili Elbe di film The Danish Girl dan Rayon dalam film Dallas Buyers Club untuk menemukan cara mereka menemukan jati diri mereka sebagai transgender, dan hubungan kekuasaan antara pasangan transgender dan non-transgender. Analisis ini menggunakan perspektif Gregory G. Bolich's pada transgender serta Lynn 2009 mengenai perilaku sexual, dan Joslin-Roher and Wheeler 2009 pada hubungan dengan pasangan. Artikel ini menjelasakan bahwa kedua film ini memperkuat stereotip gender dan relasi kekuasaan yang seimbang dan tidak seimbang memengaruhi Einar Wegener Lili Elbe and Rayon.

Although transgender individuals have been struggling to be accepted in a society, they are now more visible in popular culture especially movies. The Danish Girl 2015 and Dallas Buyers Club 2013 are Hollywood movies which have transgender individuals as their main characters. The purpose of this study is to analyze the transgender characters, Einar Wegener Lili Elbe in The Danish Girl and Rayon in Dallas Buyers Club in order to find they way to construct themselves as transgender and the power relation between transgender and their non transgender partner. The analysis operates within Gregory G. Bolich's perspective on transgender as well as Lynn 2009 about sexual behavior, and Joslin Roher and Wheeler 2009 on relation with the partner. This article finds that both movies reinforce gender stereotypes and how a balanced and an unbalanced power relation affects Einar Wegener Lili Elbe and Rayon."

"Sejak Juli 2013, Rumah Sakit Provinsi Jawa Barat membuka Poli Konseling Psikiatri di Grha Atma yang melibatkan perawat spesialis keperawatan jiwa. Penelitian yang dilakukan adalah dengan menggunakan penelitian survei dengan metode kuantitatif dan menggunakan rancangan cross sectional. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi karakteristik klien dan keluarga yang berkonsultasi di Poli Konseling, terapi spesialis keperawatan jiwa yang banyak digunakan dan keberhasilan terapi spesialis keperawatan jiwa terhadap klien dan keluarga. Sebagian besar klien dan keluarga yang melakukan konseling dengan datang langsung berdasarkan rujukan dari dokter spesialis kesehatan jiwa kepada klien rawat jalan di Grha Atma. Pada penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa kelompok terbesar adalah kelompok jenis kelamin perempuan usia 20-40 tahun, berpendidikan SMU, jumlah yang bekerja hampir sama dengan yang tidak bekerja, didiagnosis skizofrenia, sebagian besar klien mengalami harga diri rendah, sedangkan koping keluarga inefektif dialami oleh seluruh keluarga yang mendampingi klien saat konseling. Faktor predisposisi sebagian besar faktor herediter, kegagalan, dan faktor ekonomi, sedangkan faktor presipitasi sebagian besar diakibatkan oleh putus obat antipsikotik, kegagalan, dan faktor ekonomi. Terapi spesialis keperawatan jiwa individu yang paling banyak dilakukan adalah Cognitive Therapy, sedangkan terapi spesialis keperawatan jiwa yang paling banyak dilakukan adalah terapi Family Psycho Education. Jumlah klien yang tuntas melakukan terapi hampir sama dengan yang tidak tuntas melakukan terapi. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan gambaran karakteristik klien dan terapi spesialis yang dilakukan serta untuk membuat suatu bentuk pemberian terapi spesialis keperawatan jiwa yang optimal terhadap kendala-kendala yang ada.

Mental Hospital of West Java province since July 2013 opening poly psychiatric counseling at Grha Atma involving nurse specialist psychiatric nursing. Research conducted using survey research with a quantitative method using cross sectional. The purpose of this study was to identify the characteristics of the client and family are consulted in poly counseling, psychiatric nursing specialist therapy that is widely used and successful psychiatric nursing specialist therapy to clients and families. Most of the client and family counseling based on those referrals come from mental health specialists in outpatient clients at Grha Atma. In this study it was found that the largest group is the age group 20—40 years, female gender, the majority of high school educated, almost the same amount of work with that are not work, the majority of diagnosed schizophrenia, most clients experience low self-esteem while ineffective family coping experienced by the whole family who accompany clients when counseling. Predisposing factors largely hereditary factors, failure and economic factors, while most of the precipitation factor due to antipsychotic drug withdrawal, failures and economic factors. Therapeutic nursing specialist individual soul is the most widely performed while therapy Cognitive Therapy specialist psychiatric nursing is the most widely performed therapy Family Psycho Education. Number of clients who completed therapy similar to incomplete therapy. This study is expected to provide an overview of client characteristics and treatment specialists who performed as well as the constraints that exist to make a form of therapy specialist psychiatric nursing optimal."

"Waria merupakan salah satu kelompok berisiko tinggi untuk terinfeksi hiv. Berdasarkan STBP 2007 dan 2011, prevalensi hiv pada waria belum menunjukkan penurunan yang signifikan 24,33 dan 21,85. Penelitian ini membahas mengenai faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan status hiv pada waria di 5 kota di Indonesia Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Malang dan Surabaya menggunakan data Survei Terpadu Biologis dan Perilaku STBP Tahun 2015. Penelitian ini menggunakan total sampel dari penelitian STBP 2015 dan menggunakandesain studi cross sectional. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa prevalensi hiv pada waria di 5 kota di Indonesia adalah 24,8. Diketahui sebanyak 52.9 responden berumur 21 - 35 tahun, 62.1 berpendidikan rendah, 95.9 berstatus belum kawin/pernah kawin, 41 merupakan pekerja seks, 35,7 berpengetahuan rendah, 35.1 memiliki riwayat IMS, 37.2 memulai berhubungan seks < 16 tahun, 50.5 telah terlibat kerja seks ge; 96 bulan, 42.9 tidak konsisten menggunakan kondom, 39.3 mengonsumsi alkohol, 7.4 mengonsumsi napza, dan 39 melakukan kunjungan klinik IMS. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan p = 0,01 dan OR = 0,60; 95 CI: 0,43 - 0,82 , riwayat IMS p = 0,03 dan OR = 1,41; 95 CI: 1,05; 1,89 ,lama terlibat kerja seks p = 0,04 dan OR = 1,43 95 CI: 1,03 - 1,99, konsumsi alkohol p = 0,01 dan OR = 0,67; 95 CI: 0,49 - 0,91, dan konsumsi napza p = 0,04 dan OR = 1,64; 95 CI: 0,99; 2,71 berhubungan dengan status hiv pada waria.Oleh karena itu, disarankan untuk melakukan kampanye terapi IMS dan melakukan inovasi mobile health care yang bertujuan untuk mendekatkan pelayanan kesehatan kepada populasi waria.

Transgender is one of the high risk populationfor hiv infection. According to Integrated Biological and Behavioural Survey IBBS 2007 and 2011, the prevalence of hiv on transgender has not demonstrated a significant reduction 24.33 and 21.85. This study discusses the determinants of hiv on transgender in 5 cities in Indonesia Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Malang and Surabaya using data Integrated Biological and Behavioural Survey IBBS in 2015. This study used the all of sample from the IBBS 2015 and used cross sectional study.

The results showed that the prevalence of hivon transgender in 5 cities in Indonesia is 24.8. It is known that 52.9 of respondents are 21 35 years old, 35,7 are low educated, 95.9 are single, 41 are sex workers, 65.1 having low knowledge, 35.1 having a history of STI, 37.2 starts sex before 16 years, 50.5 had worked as sex work ge 96 months, 42.9 inconsistently using condoms, 39.3 consuming alcohol, 7.4 taking drugs, and 39 had come STI clinic before.

The results of this study indicated that knowledge p 0.01 and OR 0,60 95 CI 0,43 ndash 0,82, history of STI p 0,03 and OR 1,41 95 CI 1,05 ndash 1,89, had worked as sex worker more than 96 months p 0.04 and OR 1,43 95 CI 1,03 ndash 1,99, alcohol consumption p 0.01 and OR 0,67 95 CI 0,49 ndash 0,9 , drug comsumption p 0.04 and OR 1,64 95 CI 0,99 ndash 2,71 are significantly associated to hiv infection. Therefore, it is recommended to conduct STI therapy campaigns and mobile health care innovation to reach transgender population. "

"ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana transgender direpresentasikan di dalam manga berjudul Yuureitou karya Nogizaka Tarou. Representasi transgender dalam manga ini diwakilkan pengarang melalui tokoh bernama Sawamura Tetsuo. Dia merupakan seorang transgender female-to-male. Data-data di dalam penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan teori semiotika Roland Barthes. Temuan utama dalam penelitian ini adalah transgender direpresentasikan sebagai seseorang yang memiliki refleksi wujud idealnya masing-masing, memiliki keinginan untuk menjalin hubungan romantis, dan berusaha untuk menghilangkan sisi gender yang mereka anggap bukan bagian dari diri mereka. Selain itu, Nogizaka Tarou selaku pencipta manga Yuureitou juga berusaha untuk memberikan edukasi terhadap masyarakat luas mengenai kaum transgender dengan harapan diskriminasi terhadap kaum transgender akan berkurang dan dapat meluruskan beberapa stereotip transgender yang melenceng.

ABSTRACTThis research aims to explain how the concept of transgender is represented in Nogizaka Tarou's Yuureitou manga. The representation of the aforementioned concept in this manga is shown by the author through a character named Sawamura Tetsuo, a female-to-male transgender. The data in this research were analyzed using Roland Barthes's semiotic theory. The main finding in this research is that the transgenders are represented as someone who have their respective ideal reflections, each of whom have the desire to establish a romantic relationship, and are trying to eliminate the gender norms that they consider are not part of themselves. In addition, Nogizaka Tarou as the creator of the Yuureitou manga also supports the education about transgender people to the society, with the hope that opposing movement towards transgender people will come into ease and further realign the misconceptions of the transgender stereotypes."

"Tesis ini membahas tentang pemenuhan kebutuhan dan hak waria lanjut usia. Penelitian ini mengambil studi kasus di Rumah Singgah Waria Anak Raja Jakarta. Fokus penelitian ini adalah deskripsi tentang pemenuhan kebutuhan dan hak waria lanjut usia. Metode penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan mengunakan wawancara mendalam bagi informan pemerintah dan Focus group discussion waria lanjut usia untuk mendapatkan informasi bagi waria lanjut usianya, Hasil dari penelitian ini didapat data bahwa pemenuhan kebutuhan dan hak waria lanjut usia belum sesuai dengan amanat undang- undang baik undang-undang lanjut usia, hak asasi manusia dan kesejahteraan sosial, pemenuhan tersebut masih belum merata dan masih terbatas.

This thesis discusses about the fulfillment of the needs and rights of elderly transgender. This research is a case study at Shelter Home Anak Raja Jakarta. The focus of this study is a description about the fulfilment of the needs and rights of elderly transgender. This is a qualitative research method using in-depth interview for government informant and focus group discussions to get further information from the elderly transgender. The results from this study is that the fulfillment of the needs and rights of elderly transgender has not been in accordance with the mandate of the law both laws for the elderly human rights and social welfare. The fulfillment is still uneven and limited."
