"Latar belakang : Tidur berguna untuk kesehatan mental, emosi, fisik, dan sistem
imunitas tubuh. Gangguan tidur pada anak semakin menjadi masalah karena akan
berdampak pada mood, perilaku dan intelektual anak. Dilaporkan, insidensi
gangguan tidur pada anak lebih tinggi pada kasus epilepsi.
Tujuan : Mengetahui prevalensi gangguan tidur pada anak dengan epilepsi, serta
menilai hubungan antara faktor-faktor risiko yang memengaruhinya kejadian
gangguan tidur pada anak dengan epilepsi.
Metode : Studi potong lintang yang dilakukan di Poliklinik Anak Kiara RS Cipto
Mangunkusumo Jakarta dengan populasi anak epilepsi usia 4-18 tahun. Penilain
variabel gangguan tidur menggunakan kuesioner sleep disturbance scale for
children (SDSC) terdiri dari 26 pertanyaan yang telah tervalidasi sebelumnya.
Kuesioner akan diisi oleh orang tua mengenai pola tidur anak dalam 6 bulan
terakhir. Pasien yang sebelumnya memiliki gangguan tidur primer seperti
obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), sindrom epilepsi, disabilitas intelektual, attention
deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) akan dieksklusi.
Hasil : Didapatkan 99 subyek dengan karakteristik 22,2% menderita epilepsi
intraktabel, 28,2% serebral palsi dan 64,6% tipe kejang umum. Dari hasil
kuisioner SDSC didapatkan 71,7% anak dengan epilepsi mengalami gangguan
tidur, jenis terbanyak 62% gangguan memulai dan mempertahankan tidur. Faktor
risiko yang terbukti memengaruhi secara independen kejadian gangguan tidur
pada pasien epilepsi adalah tipe kejang umum, serebral palsi, epilepsi intraktabel,
elektroensefalografi (EEG) abnormal, dan obat antiepilepsi (OAE) jenis nonbenzodiazepin.
Kesimpulan : Tipe kejang umum, serebral palsi, epilepsi intraktabel,
abnormalitas EEG, dan OAE jenis non-benzodiazepin bermakna secara statistik
independen memengaruhi kejadian gangguan tidur pada epilepsi.

Background : Sleep is affecting mental health, emotional, physical, and immune
system. Sleep disorder in children was increased and became a burden because it
will affect the mood, behaviour and intellectual. Reportedly, the incidence of
sleep disorder is higher in children with epilepsy.
Objective : Knowing the prevalence of sleep disorder in children with epilepsy,
and to assess the risk factors which affecting it.
Methods : A cross-sectional study was conducted at children polyclinic Cipto
Mangunkusumo Hospital in Jakarta with populations of epilepsy children aged 4-
18 years old. The assessment of sleep disorder using the sleep disturbance scale
for children (SDSC), which consist of 26 questions that had been previously
validated. The questionnaire will be filled out by parents regarding the childs
sleep pattern in the past 6 months. Patients who had primary sleep disorders such
as obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), epilepsy syndrome, intellectual disabilities,
attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) will be excluded.
Results : There were 99 subjects, with characteristics are 22.2% had intractable
epilepsy, 28.2% had cerebral palsy and 64.6% generalized seizures. The
prevalence of sleep disorder in child with epilepsy in this study was 71.7%, the
most frequent type was disorder of starting and maintaining sleep. Risk factors
that have been shown to independently affecting the incidence of sleep disorder in
epilepsy patients are generalized seizures, cerebral palsy, intractable epilepsy,
electroencephalography (EEG) abnormality, and non-benzodiazepine type
antiepileptic drugs (AED).
Conclusion : Generalized seizure, cerebral palsy, intractable epilepsy, EEG
abnormality, and non-benzodiazepine type of AED are statistically significant
affecting the incidence of sleep disturbance in epilepsy independently."

"ABSTRAK
Latar Belakang: Anestesiologis adalah profesi yang rentan mengalami kelelahan. Gangguan tidur adalah keluhan yang sering dialami oleh anestesiologis. Penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner PSQI Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index untuk menilai kualitas tidur dan kuesioner ESS Epworth Sleepines Scale untuk menilai skala kantuk berlebih. Metode: Penelitian observasional ini menggunakan rancangan potong lintang. Setelah disetujui komite etik didapatkan 114 peserta PPDS Anestesiologi dan Terapi Intensif FKUI RSUPN Cipto Mangunkusumo menggunakan total sampling selama April - Mei 2016. Formulir penelitian meliputi penilaian kualitas tidur menggunakan PSQI dan skala kantuk menggunakan ESS. Analisis deskriptif meliputi data gangguan kualitas tidur, skala kantuk, distribusi karakteristik dan jam kerja. Analisis bivariat menilai kriteria terkait nilai PSQI ? 5 kualitas tidur kurang dan ESS ?10 skala kantuk berlebih . Analisis multivariat dengan regresi logistik biner untuk melihat hubungan variabel paling dominan dengan variabel dependen. Setelah itu, dilakukan perbandingan antara data kualitas tidur dengan skala kantuk berlebih. ABSTRACT
Background Anesthesiologists is a profession prone to fatigue. Sleep disorder is a common complaint suffered by the anesthesiologist. This study used a questionnaire PSQI Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index to assess the quality of sleep and ESS Epworth Sleepines Scale to assess the scale of excessive sleepiness. Methods This observational study used cross sectional design. After approval from ethics committee we obtained 114 resident of Anesthesiology and Intensive Therapy at Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital using total sampling during April May 2016. The research form contained PSQI questionnaire to asses sleep quality and ESS to asses sleepiness scale. Data of sleep quality disorder, sleepiness scale, characteristics distribution and working hours presented by descriptive analysis. The bivariate analysis measured the relevant criteria PSQI score 5 sleep disorder and ESS 10 excessive sleepiness scale . Multivariate analysis by binary logistic regression used to see the most significant variable from the dependent variable. After that, comparison between data quality of sleep with excessive sleepiness scale was done. "Latar Belakang: Gangguan tidur dan masalah psikososial sampai saat ini masih cukup tinggi pada anak. Namun, penelitian mengenai hubungan antara gangguan tidur dan masalah psikososial pada anak thalassemia belum banyak di publikasi di Indonesia. Penelitian sebelumnya menelaah hubungan antara gangguan tidur dan masalah psikososial pada anak sehat. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, peneliti ingin mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan antara gangguan tidur dan masalah psikososial pada anak thalassemia dengan perbedaan pada dua buah aspek, yaitu aspek penegakan diagnosis masalah psikososial dan kelompok sampel yang dipilih. Tujuan: Mengetahui hubungan antara gangguan tidur dan masalah psikososial pada anak thalassemia. Metode: Penelitian observasional potong-lintang dengan sampel anak yang mengalami thalassemia major yang berobat ke Poliklinik Thalassemia/Ruang Transfusi RSCM pada Oktober 2022. Hasil: Dari 141 subjek, terdapat 87 subjek (61,7%) yang mengalami gangguan tidur dan 22 subjek (15,6%) yang mengalami masalah emosi perilaku. Hubungan antara gangguan tidur dan masalah psikososial pada anak thalassemia usia 6-15 tahun menunjukkan memiliki hubungan yang bermakna ( P<0.05). Kesimpulan: Anak thalassemia usia 6-15 tahun dengan gangguan tidur memiliki risiko 3,261 kali mengalami masalah psikososial (emosi dan perilaku).

Background: Sleep disorders and psychosocial problems are still quite high in children. However, research on the relationship between sleep disorders and psychosocial problems in thalassemia children has not been widely published in Indonesia. Previous research has examined the relationship between sleep disorders and psychosocial problems in healthy children. Based on this, the researchers wanted to find out whether there is a relationship between sleep disorders and psychosocial problems in thalassemia children with differences in two aspects, namely the aspect of establishing a diagnosis of psychosocial problems and the selected sample group. Purpose: To determine the relationship between sleep disorders and psychosocial problems in thalassemia children Methods: This is an observational cross-sectional study on children with thalassemia major who went to the Thalassemia Polyclinic/Transfusion Room RSCM in October 2022. Result: Of 141 subjects, there were 87 subjects (61.7%) had sleep disorders and 22 subjects (15.6%) had psychosocial problems. The association between sleep disorders and psychosocial problems in thalassemic children aged 6-15 years showed a significant association (P<0.05). Conclusion: Thalassemia children aged 6-15 years with sleep disorders have a 3.261 times the risk of experiencing psychosocial problems."

"Tingkat aktivitas fisik merupakan salah satu indikator kesehatan yang penting. Berdasarkan Riskesdas 2018, Provinsi DKI Jakarta menempati posisi pertama pada proporsi tingkat aktivitas fisik kurang pada anak usia lebih dari 10 tahun. Gangguan tidur memiliki korelasi dengan penurunan performa akademik siswa pada sekolah dasar, peningkatan risiko depresi, dan juga ketidakseimbangan emosional. Berdasarakan penelitian oleh Hermoniati et al., Prevalensi gangguan tidur pada anak usia sekolah di Kota Jakarta Pusat sebesar 25,1%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan tingkat aktivitas fisik dan gangguan tidur pada anak usia sekolah di Provinsi DKI Jakarta. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi potong lintang dengan menggunakan sub data sekunder dari penelitian SEANUTS 2.0 dengan jumlah sub-sampel sebesar 104 anak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat aktivitas fisik paling dominan secara berurutan adalah tingkat aktivitas fisik rendah (50%), tingkat aktivitas fisik sedang (42,30%), dan tingkat aktivitas fisik tinggi (7,6%). Gangguan tidur terjadi pada 55,77% dari total sampel. Secara bivariat terdapat korelasi lemah antara tingkat aktivitas fisik dan gangguan tidur pada anak usia sekolah di Provinsi DKI Jakarta dengan nilai r = -0,05 dan tidak signifikan dengan nilai p = 0,617. Selain itu, dilakukan juga uji korelasi terhadap aktivitas fisik dan sub-gangguan tidur dengan hasil gangguan memulai dan mempertahankan tidur (r = -0,068), gangguan pernapasan saat tidur (r = 0,017), gangguan kesadaran (r = -0,023), gangguan transisi tidur-bangun (r = 0,061), gangguan somnolen berlebihan (r = -0,83), dan gangguan saat tidur (r = -0,176). Oleh karena itu, intervensi terhadap aktivitas fisik demi mencegah kejadian gangguan tidur perlu dilakukan. Tenaga kesehatan dan tenaga pendidik pada sekolah dasar diharapkan mengetahui dan memahami pentingkat tingkat aktivitas fisik terhadap pencegahan gangguan tidur pada anak usia sekolah.

The level of physical activity is an important indicator of health. Based on Riskesdas 2018, DKI Jakarta Province occupies the first position in the proportion of the level of physical activity that is lacking in children aged more than 10 years. Sleep disturbances have been correlated with decreased academic performance in elementary school students, increased risk of depression, as well as emotional imbalance. Based on research by Hermoniati et al., the prevalence of sleep disorders in school-age children in Central Jakarta is 25.1%. This study aims to see the relationship between the level of physical activity and sleep disturbances in school-age children in DKI Jakarta Province. The research design used was a cross-sectional study using secondary data from the SEANUTS 2.0 study with a sub-sample of 104 children. The results showed that the most dominant levels of physical activity, respectively, were low levels of physical activity (50%), moderate levels of physical activity (42.30%), and high levels of physical activity (7.6%). Sleep disturbances occurred in 55.77% of the total sample. Bivariately there is a weak correlation between the level of physical activity and sleep disturbances in schoolage children in DKI Jakarta Province with a value of r = -0.05 and not significant with a value of p = 0.617. In addition, correlation tests were also conducted on physical activity and sleep sub-disorders with the results of disturbances in initiating and maintaining sleep (r = -0.068), sleep disturbances (r = 0.017), impaired consciousness (r = -0.023), transitional disorders sleep-wake (r = 0.061), excessive somnolence (r = -0.83), and sleep disturbances (r = -0.176). Therefore, intervention on physical activity to prevent sleep disturbances needs to be done. Health workers and educators in elementary schools are expected to know and understand the level of physical activity on the prevention of sleep disorders at school-age."

Latar belakang: Gangguan tidur adalah kumpulan kondisi yang ditandai dengan gangguan jumlah, kualitas, atau waktu tidur. Dampaknya adalah gangguan belajar, memori, perubahan mood, perilaku, dan kesulitan mempertahankan perhatian. Data intervensi Sleep Hygiene di Indonesia belum tersedia.
Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui: (1) prevalens dan gambaran gangguan tidur, (2) pengaruh intervensi Sleep Hygiene pada keluhan mengantuk, mood, kesulitan bangun, dan durasi tidur, (3) pengaruh intervensi terhadap nilai SDSC dan PDSS.
Metode: Penelitian quasi eksperimental di 3 SDN di Jakarta Pusat pada bulan Mei-Juni 2015. Skrining gangguan tidur menggunakan Sleep Disturbance Scale for Children (SDSC) dan Pediatric Daytime Sleepiness Scale (PDSS). Murid dengan gangguan tidur dimintakan persetujuan intervensi selama 8 minggu. Evaluasi dengan kuesioner SDSC dan PDSS.
Hasil: Prevalens gangguan tidur 25,1%. Gambaran gangguan tidur yaitu Disorder of initiating and maintaining sleep (DIMS) 61,5%, Sleep wake transition disorder (SWTD) 61,5%, Disorder of excessive somnolence (DOES) 55,4%, dan Disorder of arousal (DA) 51,5%. Terdapat perbaikan keluhan mengantuk, perubahan mood, dan kesulitan bangun pagi. Terdapat penurunan nilai SDSC pre dan post intervensi (p < 0,001).
Kesimpulan: Prevalens gangguan tidur anak usia sekolah 25,1%. Dampak intervensi sleep hygiene yaitu perbaikan keluhan mengantuk, perubahan mood, dan kesulitan bangun pagi. Terdapat perbedaan bermakan nilai SDSC pre dan post intervensi.

"ABSTRAK
Angka kejadian kelelahan pada anak kanker di Indonesia adalah 44,2 . Salah satu faktor yang berkontribusi pada kejadian kelelahan adalah gangguan tidur. Kelelahan dan gangguan tidur yang tidak diatasi dapat berdampak pada penurunan kualitas hidup anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh latihan AeRop dalam mengatasi kelelahan dan gangguan tidur pada anak kanker. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian quasi experiment dengan pre-post with control group. Latihan AeRop merupakan kombinasi latihan aerobik dan relaksasi otot progresif yang dapat menghindari kekakuan akibat kelelahan pada anak kanker dan memberikan perasaan nyaman. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 64 anak kanker yang sedang menjalani kemoterapi, 32 anak mendapat latihan Aerop dan 32 anak tidak mendapatkan latihan AeRop. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis univariat dan bivariat, yaitu uji T berpasangan dan tidak berpasangan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan hampir ada perbedaan yang bermakna pada skor kelelahan setelah diberikan latihan AeRop p=0,05 . Hasil penelitian ini juga menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang bermakna pada skor gangguan tidur setelah diberikan latihan AeRop. Hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa latihan AeRop efektif dalam mengatasi gangguan tidur pada anak kanker. Perbaikan kualitas tidur anak kemungkinan besar berpengaruh dalam mengurangi kelelahan yang berkaitan dengan kanker.

ABSTRACT
Prevalence of fatigue in cancer children in Indonesia is 44.2 . One of the factors that contribute to fatigue is a sleep disorder. Unexplained fatigue and sleep disturbances can have a detrimental effect on the quality of life of the child. This study aimed to see the effect of AeRop exercise in overcoming fatigue and sleep disorders in children with cancer. This research used a quasi experiment research design with pre post with control group. AeRop exercise is a combination of aerobic exercise and progressive muscle relaxation that can avoid stiffness due to fatigue in cancer children and provide comfortness. The sample in this study amounted to 64 cancer children who were undergoing chemotherapy, 32 children received AeRop training and 32 children did not get AeRop exercise. Data analysis used is univariate and bivariate analysis dependent and independent T test. The results of this study showed almost significant difference in fatigue score after AeRop exercise p 0.05 . The results of this study also showed a significant difference in sleep disturbance score after AeRop exercise. This can be conclude that AeRop exercise is effective in overcoming sleep disorders in children with cancer. Improving the quality of child 39 s sleep is likely to have an effect on reducing cancer related fatigue."

"Ulkus Diabetikum menyebabkan berbagai gangguan kenyamanan. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas tidur dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pada pasien ulkus diabetikum. Desain penelitian menggunakan cross-sectional dengan sampel 97 pasien ulkus diabetikum. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna antara kualitas tidur subjektif dengan kualitas tidur yang diukur menggunakan PSQI p: 0,001. Faktor yang mempengaruhi tidur yaitu penghasilan p: 0,014, tingkat stress p: 0,001, medikasi p: 0,026, tingkat nyeri p: 0,048, dan diet p: 0,009. Penelitian menunjukkan pentingnya melakukan pengkajian kualitas tidur dengan melihat faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi untuk mengatasi masalah tidur pasien ulkus diabetikum.

Diabetic ulcer cause various comfort disorders. This research was to identify sleep quality and factors that influence in patients with diabetic ulcer. This research design used cross sectional study with a sampel of 97 diabetic ulcer patients. The results showed that there was a significant difference between subjective sleep quality and sleep quality measured using PSQI p 0,001. Factors that affect sleep are income p 0,014, stress levels p 0,001, medications p 0,026, pain levels p 0,048, and diet p 0,009. The results of this study indicate that the importance of conducting sleep quality assessment with factors that influence to overcome sleep problems in diabetic patients."

"Kualitas tidur yang buruk pada pasien diabetes melitus akan berdampak pada kualitas hidupnya. Kualitas tidur yang buruk disebabkan oleh tanda gejala serta komplikasi diabetes melitus yang mengakibatkan gangguan tidur pada penderitanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan kualitas tidur pada pasien diabetes melitus.
Desain penelitian ini adalah deskriptif korelasi dengan pendekatan cross sectional, melibatkan 106 pasien diabetes melitus di Puskesmas Cimanggis Depok yang dipilih dengan teknik consecutive sampling. Pengambilan data penelitian dilakukan dengan pengisian kuesioner. Kualitas tidur diukur dengan Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI).
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan sebagian besar responden memiliki kualitas tidur yang buruk dan dari beberapa faktor yang diteliti hanya kondisi cahaya saat tidur (p=0,007), insomnia (p<0,001) dan restless leg syndrome (p=0,019) yang berhubungan dengan kualitas tidur. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan kepada perawat agar memberikan intervensi yang sesuai untuk mengatasi gangguan tidur yang dialami pasien diabetes melitus agar kualitas tidurnya semakin baik.

Poor sleep quality may negatively impact on the quality of diabetic patient‟s life, resulting from the signs, symptoms, and complications of diabetes experienced by the patients. This study aimed to identify factors associated with sleep quality among patients living with diabetes.
This descriptive study used cross sectional design, involving 160 respondents in the Cimanggis Health Center who were selected by using consecutive sampling technique. Data were collected by questionnaires to measure the respondent‟s sleep quality.
The study revealed that the majority of respondents had poor sleep quality according to the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index. The study further showed that lighting (p = .007), insomnia (p < .001), and restless leg syndrome (p = .019) were significantly associated to sleep quality. Interventions to enhance sleep quality can be suggested to patients by nurses as part of diabetes nursing care.

"Stroke dapat menyebabkan perubahan atau kerusakan neurologis berupa gangguan tidur insomnia. Gangguan tidur insomnia pada pasien pasca stroke akan mempengaruhi rehabilitasi dan kualitas hidup pasien. Oleh karena itu diperlukan suatu upaya intervensi keperawatan yang dapat meningkatkan relaksasi pasien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh aromatherapi: Kenanga (Cananga odorata) terhadap gangguan tidur insomnia pada pasien stroke di RSUD Pangkalpinang dan Sungailiat. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuasi eksperimen dengan pre dan postest design dan melibatkan 38 orang responden yang dikelompokkan menjadi intervensi dan kontrol. Pemilihan responden penelitian dengan teknik consequtive sampling. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan ada perbedaan yang signifikan rerata derajat insomnia setelah pemberian aromaterapi Kenanga antara kelompok intervensi dan kontrol (p=0,000). Oleh karena itu, peneliti merekomendasikan aromaterapi Kenanga sebagai salah satu alternatif intervensi keperawatan untuk masalah insomnia pada pasien stroke.

Stroke may lead to altered or impaired neurological function which include insomnia. Insomnia in post-stroke patients affects the patients? rehabilitation process and quality of life. Therefore, it is of high importance to develop and examine the nursing intervention aiming at improving sleep pattern in this group of patients. The study aimed to assess the influence of Cananga (Cananga Odorata) aromatherapy to insomnia sleep disorder in patients with stroke at Pangkalpinang and Sungailiat Hospitals. This quasi-experiment with pre-posttest design was carried out in 38 respondents, consecutively sampled and assigned into the intervention and control groups. The results showed that there was a statistically significant difference between the mean of insomnia degree in the intervention and control group, after the Cananga aromatherapy treatment (p=0.000). It could be concluded that Cananga aromatherapy is likely to lower insomnia in patients with stroke in this study. Nurses may use this intervention to help addressing insomnia problem among patients with stroke.

"Latar belakang. Gangguan tidur pada remaja memiliki prevalens yang tinggi dan dapat memengaruhi prestasi akademik di sekolah. Namun, sejauh ini di Indonesia, belum terdapat studi yang meneliti prestasi akademik pada remaja dengan gangguan tidur serta faktor yang berhubungan.
Tujuan. Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui: (1) prevalens dan pola gangguan tidur berdasarkan SDSC, (2) proporsi murid SMP dengan gangguan tidur yang memiliki prestasi akademik di bawah rerata, (3) hubungan antara: jenis kelamin, motivasi dan strategi belajar, nilai IQ, tingkat pendidikan ibu, tingkat sosial ekonomi keluarga, struktur keluarga, pendidikan di luar sekolah, adanya TV/komputer di kamar tidur, durasi tidur di hari sekolah, perbedaan waktu tidur dan bangun, dan prestasi akademik murid SMP dengan gangguan tidur.
Metode. Penelitian potong lintang analitik di lima SMP di Jakarta pada bulan Januari hingga Maret 2013. Skrining gangguan tidur dengan kuesioner Sleep Disturbance Scale for Children dilakukan terhadap 491 orang murid SMP di Jakarta. Murid yang memenuhi kriteria gangguan tidur diminta mengisi kuesioner motivasi dan strategi pembelajaran. Peneliti meminta nilai IQ subjek penelitian.
Hasil. Terdapat 129 subjek yang memenuhi kriteria gangguan tidur. Empat orang subjek di drop-out karena tidak memiliki nilai IQ. Prevalens gangguan tidur sebesar 39,7% dengan jenis gangguan tidur terbanyak adalah gangguan memulai dan mempertahankan tidur (70,2%). Sebanyak 47,6% subjek memiliki prestasi akademik di bawah rerata. Sebagian besar subjek perempuan (71%), termasuk sosial ekonomi menengah ke bawah (58,9%), memiliki motivasi dan strategi belajar yang cukup (72,6%), dan mengikuti pendidikan di luar sekolah (87,9%). Tiga belas subjek yang memiliki nilai IQ di bawah rata-rata tidak diikutsertakan dalam analisis bivariat dan multivariat. Berdasarkan uji regresi logistik, faktor yang paling berhubungan dengan prestasi akademik di bawah rerata secara berurutan, yaitu pendidikan di luar sekolah (> 2 jenis, non-akademik), nilai IQ rata-rata, dan jenis kelamin lelaki.
Simpulan. Prevalens gangguan tidur pada murid SMP di Jakarta adalah 39,7% dengan jenis gangguan tidur terbanyak adalah gangguan memulai dan mempertahankan tidur. Sebanyak 47,6% subjek memiliki prestasi akademik di bawah rerata. Faktor yang terbukti berhubungan dengan prestasi akademik di bawah rerata adalah pendidikan di luar sekolah (> 2 jenis, non-akademik), nilai IQ rata-rata, dan jenis kelamin lelaki.

Background. Sleep disorders are prevalent in adolescents and may influence their academic achievement at school. However, in Indonesia, no research has ever been done to study academic achievement in students with sleep disorders and related factors.
Objectives. This study aimed to define: (1) the prevalence of sleep disorders and their patterns based on the SDSC questionnaire, (2) the proportion of junior high school students having low average academic achievement, (3) the relationship between factors; i.e gender, motivation and learning strategies, IQ level, mothers' educational level, socioeconomic level, family structure, non-formal education, TV/computer set inside the bedroom, sleep duration during schooldays, bedtimewakeup time difference; and the academic achievement in junior high school students with sleep disorders.
Method. This was an analytical cross-sectional study, performed at five junior high schools in Jakarta between January to March 2013. Screening for sleep disorders, based on the Sleep Disturbance Scale for Children questionnaires, was done in 491 junior high school students. Students who fulfilled the criteria of sleep disorders, were asked to fill in the Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ). The IQ level of each subjects was also measured.
Results. There were 129 subjects who fulfilled the sleep disorders criteria. Four subjects were dropped out due to they didn?t have IQ level. The prevalence of sleep disorder in this study was 39.7%, mostly difficulty in initiating and maintaining sleep (70.2%). There were 47.6% subjects had low average academic achievement. As many as 13 subjects had low average IQ level and were not included in bivariate and multivariate analysis. Subjects mostly female (71%), with middle-low income (58.9%), had moderate motivation and learning strategies (72.6%), and attended non-formal education (87.9%). Based on the logistic regression analysis, the most influencing factors to the low average academic achievement are consecutively: the non-formal education ( > 2 types, non-academic), the average IQ level, and male sex.
Conclusion. The prevalence of sleep disorders in junior high school students in Jakarta are 39.7%, mostly difficulty in initiating and maintaining sleep. There were 47.6% subjects had low average grade. Factors related to the low average academic achievement are non-formal education ( > 2 types, non-academic), the average IQ level, and male sex.
