"Dalam penelitian kuantitatif ini, peneliti bertujuan untuk membuktikan pengaruh off-campus internship efficacy (OCIE) dan career decision self-efficacy (CDSE) sebagai variabel mediasi pada pengaruh learning motivation (LM) terhadap career preparation behavior (CPB) dalam konteks mahasiswa S1 angkatan 2019 di Universitas Indonesia. Penelitian ini mengacu pada metode Maximum Likelihood dalam menentukan besarnya sampel, yang mana jumlah sampel penelitian minimal 5 kali dari jumlah indikator. Dengan demikian, target jumlah sampel untuk penelitian ini adalah 285 mahasiswa. Peneliti melakukan penyebaran kuesioner secara daring yang terdiri dari pertanyaan terstruktur (structured question) yang dapat diisi secara mandiri oleh responden (self-administered questionnaire). Sebanyak 356 data responden terkumpulkan setelah penyebaran kuesioner secara daring dilakukan. Temuan analisis kausal menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh LM ke OCIE merupakan pengaruh terkuat di antara variabel yang lain. Sedangkan, temuan analisis mediasi menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh OCIE sebagai variabel mediasi antara pengaruh LM dan CDSE merupakan pengaruh variabel mediasi terkuat di antara variabel mediasi lain. Penelitian ini memiliki kontribusi teoritis berupa pengaruh LM, OCIE, dan CDSE terhadap CPB, serta kontribusi praktis berupa informasi bagi Universitas Indonesia untuk pengelolaan CPB mahasiswa akhir sebelum memasuki dunia kerja sesungguhnya.

In this quantitative study, researchers aimed to prove the effect of off-campus internship efficacy (OCIE) and career decision self-efficacy (CDSE) as mediating variables on the effect of learning motivation (LM) on career preparation behavior (CPB) in the context of undergraduate students in the class of 2019 at the University of Indonesia. This study refers to the Maximum Likelihood method in determining sample size, in which the number of research samples is at least 5 times the number of indicators. Thus, the target number of samples for this research is 285 students. The researcher distributed questionnaires online, which consisted of structured questions that could be filled in independently by respondents (self-administered questionnaire). As many as 356 respondent data were collected after distributing the online questionnaires. The findings of the causal analysis show that the effect of LM on OCIE is the strongest among the other variables. Meanwhile, the findings of the mediation analysis show that the effect of OCIE as a mediating variable between the effects of LM and CDSE is the strongest mediating variable among other mediating variables. This research has a theoretical contribution in the form of the influence of LM, OCIE, and CDSE on CPB, as well as a practical contribution in the form of information for the University of Indonesia for the management of final student CPB before entering the real world of work."

"Masa transisi dari perkuliahan ke dunia kerja merupakan periode yang penuh tantangan bagi mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Masa transisi ini seringkali diwarnai dengan berbagai ketidakpastian dan perubahan, sehingga menuntut individu untuk memiliki kemampuan beradaptasi yang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat peran career decision self-efficacy dalam memediasi hubungan antara parental career-related behavior dan adaptabilitas karier pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian non-eksperimental. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa program sarjana (N=256) dari berbagai universitas di Jabodetabek yang sedang menempuh semester 6 atau lebih. Career Decision Self-Efficacy Scale – Short Form (CDSE-SF), Career Adapt-Abilities Scale (CAAS), Parental Career-Related Behavior Scale (PCB-S) menjadi alat ukur dalam penelitian ini. Pengolahan data dilakukan menggunakan Pearson Correlation dan macro PROCESS dari Hayes. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa career decision self-efficacy dapat menjadi variabel mediator parsial dalam hubungan antara support parental career-related behavior dengan adaptabilitas karier, dan menjadi mediator penuh dalam hubungan antara interference dan lack of engagement parental career-related behavior dengan adaptabilitas karier. Penelitian ini memiliki implikasi bahwa peningkatan career decision self-efficacy dan dukungan karier dari orang tua dapat meningkatkan adaptabilitas karier mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Penelitian ini memberikan manfaat bagi pengembangan karier di perguruan tinggi, mahasiswa, dan orang tua.

The transition from college to the workforce is a challenging period for senior year college students. These transitional periods are often colored with a variety of uncertainties and changes, thus demanding that individuals have good adaptability. This study aims to examine the role of career decision self-efficacy in mediating the relationship between parental career-related behavior and career adaptability among senior year college students. This is a quantitative study with a non-experimental research design. Purposive sampling was used to collect data from 256 undergraduate students from various universities in the Jabodetabek area who were in their 6th semester or higher. The research instruments used were the Career Decision Self-Efficacy Scale – Short Form (CDSE-SF), Career Adapt-Abilities Scale (CAAS), and Parental Career-Related Behavior Scale (PCB-S). Data analysis was conducted using Pearson Correlation and Hayes' macro PROCESS. The results of this study showed that career decision self-efficacy can be a partial mediator in the relationship between support parental career-related behavior and career adaptability, and a full mediator in the relationship between interference and lack of engagement parental career-related behavior and career adaptability. This research has implications that improved career decision self-efficacy and support parental career related behavior can improve the career adaptability of senior year college students. This study provides benefits for career development in higher education, students, and parents."

"Tingginya angka ketidaksesuaian karier dengan minat mahasiswa di Indonesia menunjukkan tingkat efikasi diri dalam pemilihan keputusan karier yang rendah di Indonesia. Dalam hal ini, pola asuh orang tua yang tepat dapat menjadi bekal bagi individu untuk mengembangkan efikasi diri, khususnya di bidang karier. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan antara perceived parenting style dan career decision making self-efficacy mahasiswa di Indonesia. Peneliti menggunakan dua instrumen penelitian, yakni Parental Authority Questionnaire (PAQ) dan Career Decision Making Self-Efficacy Indonesia Version (CDMSE-Ind) untuk mendapatkan data terkait variabel tersebut. Penelitian ini melibatkan 146 mahasiswa dengan rentang usia 18-25 tahun. Analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa persepsi mahasiswa terhadap pola asuh orang tua otoritatif berkorelasi positif signifikan pada CDMSE (r = 0,411, p < .001). Artinya, semakin tinggi kecenderungan pola asuh otoritatif yang dipersepsikan mahasiswa, semakin tinggi pula tingkat efikasi diri dalam pemilihan keputusan karier. Sedangkan persepsi mahasiswa terhadap pola asuh orang tua otoriter tidak memiliki hubungan yang signifikan. Hasil penelitian mengimplikasikan bahwa penggunaan pola asuh otoritatif paling tepat untuk menumbuhkan efikasi diri dalam pemilihan keputusan karier individu.

The high rate of career misalignment with student interests in Indonesia indicates a low level of career decision making self-efficacy among Indonesians. In this case, proper parental upbringing can serve as a foundation for individuals to develop self-efficacy, especially in career-related areas. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between perceived parenting style and career decision making self-efficacy among university students in Indonesia. The researchers used two research instruments: the Parental Authority Questionnaire (PAQ) and the Career Decision Making Self-Efficacy Indonesia Version (CDMSE-Ind) to collect data on these variables. The study involved 146 students aged 18-25 years. Statistical analysis showed that students' perceptions of authoritative parenting style significantly and positively correlated with CDMSE (r = 0.411, p < .001). This means that the higher the tendency for authoritative parenting perceived by the students, the higher their level of self-efficacy in career decision making. In contrast, students' perceptions of authoritarian parenting style did not show a significant relationship. The study's findings imply that the use of authoritative parenting is most appropriate for fostering self-efficacy in career decision making."

"Mahasiswa tingkat akhir diharapkan telah memiliki keyakinan terhadap keputusan karier yang akan ditekuni karena sebentar lagi mereka akan memasuki dunia pekerjaan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran vocational identity terhadap career decision self-efficacy CDSE mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Senior year undergraduate students should have confidence in career decisions because they soon to be graduated and starting the transition stage from student to professional life. The purpose of this research is to know the role of vocational identity to career decision self efficacy CDSE of senior year undergraduate students. The participants of this study consisted of 302 Universitas Indonesia senior year undergraduate students from all Faculty. Vocational identity is measured using a vocational identity scale VIS which is a sub scale of My Vocational Situation MVS Holland, Daiger, Power, 1980 and consisting of 18 items. "Daya saing antar manusia dan teknologi digital menyebabkan pasar tenaga kerja menjadi lebih kompetitif dan ambigu, khususnya bagi mahasiswa tingkat akhir yang akan memasuki dunia kerja sehingga diperlukan Career Adaptability (CA). Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menguji peran Career Decision Self Efficacy (CDSE) dalam memediasi proactive personality dan CA pada 175 mahasiswa tingkat akhir yang telah mengikuti program magang Kampus Merdeka. Hasil mediation analysis menunjukkan tidak terdapat direct effect proactive personality terhadap CA (c’ = -0,1082; p > 0,05). Namun, terdapat indirect effect melalui mediasi CDSE (ab = 0,8939; p < 0,001). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa program magang Kampus Merdeka membantu mahasiswa menghadapi dinamika industri yang terus berubah dengan memfasilitasi peningkatan proactive personality, CDSE, CA serta mengurangi kesenjangan antara perguruan tinggi dan dunia kerja.

Competitiveness between humans and digital technology causes the labor market to become more competitive and ambiguous, especially for final year students that will enter the workforce, necessitating Career Adaptability (CA). This research was conducted to examine the role of Career Decision Self Efficacy (CDSE) in mediating between proactive personality and CA in 175 final year students who had participated in the Kampus Merdeka internship program. The mediation analysis showed no direct role of proactive personality on CA (c’ = -0.1082; p > 0.05). However, there was an indirect role through mediation by CDSE (ab = 0.8939; p < 0.001). These findings suggest that the Kampus Merdeka internship program aids students in dealing with the evolving dynamics of the industry by facilitating improvements in proactive personality, CDSE, and CA, thus reducing the gap between university and the workforce."

"Career decision self-efficacy CDSE merupakan hal yang penting untuk dimiliki mahasiswa tingkat akhir dalam mempersiapkan diri memasuki dunia kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran peer support dan identitas etnis terhadap career decision self-efficacy. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian yakni Career Decision Making Self Efficacy - Short Form CDSE- SF untuk mengukur CDSE; sementara pengukuran peer support menggunakan Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support; dan pengukuran identitas etnis menggunakan Multiple Ethnic Identity. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini merupakan 202 mahasiswa perantau tingkat akhir di Universitas Indonesia dengan metode pengambilan data secara daring. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hanya variabel peer support yang berperan terhadap tingkat CDSE R2= 0,075, p < 0,05 . Hasil penelitian ini dapat bermanfaat dalam menentukan kebijakan yang tepat untuk meningkatkan CDSE mahasiswa perantau UI.

Career decision self efficacy CDSE is important for final year undergraduates to make them ready to face the competition at work. The purpose of this study is to examine the role of peer support and ethnic identity on career decision self efficacy. The measurements that used in this study were Career Decision Making Self Efficacy Short Form to measure CDSE Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support to measure peer support and Multiple Ethnic Identity Measure Revised to measure ethnic identity. The participants in this study are 202 final year migrants undergraduates at Universitas Indonesia with online questionnaire method. Results of this study shows that peer support is the only variable that has a significant role towards CDSE R2 0,075, p 0,05 . The result of this study could help people to create policies and interventions related to migrants undergraduates at UI in order to increase their CDSE.

"Penelitian yang dilakukan pada mahasiswa Universitas ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah terdapat hubungan antara hambatan kontekstual dan efikasi diri dalam keputusan karier pada mahasiswa Universitas Indonesia. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan sampel 518 mahasiswa Universitas Indonesia S1 regular angkatan 2013. Penelitian kuantitatif ini menggunakan alat ukur CDSE-SF (Taylor dan Betz, 1983) untuk mengukur efikasi diri dalam keputusan karier dan alat ukur contextual barriers scale (Lent dan Brown, 2001) untuk mengukur hambatan kontekstual. Hasilnya penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan negatif antara hambatan kontekstual hambatan kontekstual dan efikasi diri dalam keputusan karier. Artinya, semakin tinggi hambatan kontekstual yang dihadapi mahasiswa Univesitas Indonesia, maka semakin rendah efikasi diri dalam keputusan karier yang dimiliki mahasiswa Universitas Indonesia. Perbandingan besarnya kontribusi dimensi-dimensi hambatan kontekstual terhadap efikasi diri dalam keputusan karier menunjukkan bahwa dimensi lingkungan perguruan tinggi memiliki kontribusi yang lebih besar dibandingkan dengan dimensi-dimensi lainnya. Sedangkan dimensi keluarga merupakan dimensi dengan kontribusi terrendah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, Badan Konseling Mahasiswa (BKM) bekerja sama dengan Career Development Center (CDC) dan pihak fakultas disarankan membentuk pelatihan-pelatihan yang membekali mahasiswa Universitas Indonesia untuk dapat menghadapi berbagai hambatan kontekstual dalam pekembangan karier.

This research was conducted to examine the relationship between contextual barriers and career decision self-efficacy on students at University of Indonesia. This research was conducted with a sample of students at University of Indonesia S1 2013. This quantitative study uses CDSE-SF (Taylor dan Betz, 1983) to measure career decision self-efficacy and contextual barriers scale (Lent dan Brown, 2001) to measure contextual barriers. The result of research showed a significant negative correlation between contextual barriers and career decision self-efficacy. That is, the higher of contextual barries faced by students at University of Indonesia, the lower career decision self-efficacy owned by students at University of Indonesa. Comparisons of contribution of dimension of contextual barriers to career decision self-efficacy shows that the education environmental dimension have a greater contribution than the other dimensions. While the family dimension is the dimension with the lowest contribution. Based on the result, Badan Konseling Mahasiswa (BKM) in collaboration with Career Development Center (CDC) and the faculy recomended form of training which equip students at University of Indonesia to be able to confront various contextual barriers in career development."

"Dalam perjalanan karier, keputusan karier merupakan hal yang sangat pentingdan untuk mampu memilih dan mengambil keputusan karier yang baik dibutuhkan adalah efikasi diri keputusan karier. Efikasi diri keputusan karier berhubungan dengan dukungan kontekstual dari lingkungan mahasiswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui ada tidaknya hubungan antara efikasi diri keputusan karier dengan dukungan kontekstualpada mahasiswa S1 Universitas Indonesia. Partisipan penelitian ini terdiri dari 516 mahasiswa S1 Universitas Indonesia dari seluruh fakultas. Efikasi diri keputusan karier diukur menggunakan Career Decision Self-Efficacy Short Form yang telah diadaptasi dan dimodifikasi oleh peneliti. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan korelasi yang signifikan positif antara efikasi diri keputusan karier dengan dukungan kontekstual. Melihat hasil dari penelitian ini, disarankan Badan Konseling Mahasiswa (BKM) untuk mempertimbangkan pengaruh kontekstual khususnya dukungan kontekstual dalam konseling permasalahan karier mahasiswa.

Career decision is an important factor to be able to choose career wisely. In the course of someone?s life, career is important because career carve outcome of someone education and experience. Career decision self-efficacy correlate with contextual support from a college student's life. The aim of this research is to find the correlation between career decision self-efficacy and contextual support amongst undergraduate student in University of Indonesia. 516 participant from each faculty take part in this research. Career decision self-efficacy was measured with Career Decision Self-Efficacy Short Form that modified to suit research condition. The outcome of this research is positive and significant correlation between contextual support and career decision self-efficacy. Considering the result of this research, Badan Konseling Mahasiswa (BKM) should consider contextual influences, particularly contextual support for better understanding about students career problem.

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji tiga tipe career specific parenting behavior (support, interference, dan lack of engagement) sebagai moderator pengaruh job insecurity orang tua terhadap career decision self-efficacy mahasiswa. Mahasiswa tingkat akhir (18-22 tahun) dan ayahnya (N = 55) mengisi kuesioner yang berbeda. Mahasiswa mengisi kuesioner yang mengukur persepsi career specific parenting behavior dan career decision self-efficacy; ayah mengisi kuesioner job insecurity. Uji moderator dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis sequential multiple regression.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tiga tipe career specific parenting behavior tidak memoderasi pengaruh job insecurity orang tua terhadap career deicision self-efficacy. Dengan demikian penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tiga tipe career specific parenting behavior tidak memperkuat atau memperlemah pengaruh job insecurity orang tua terhadap career decision self-efficacy.

The objective of this study is to examine that three types of career specific parenting behavior (support, interference, and lack of engagement) moderate the effect of parental job insecurity on career decision self-efficacy. Students (18-22 years old) and their father (N = 55) filled in the different questionnaire. Perceived career specific parenting behavior was assessed on students; parental job insecurity was assessed on father. To measure moderation effect, this study was using sequential multiple regression.
The result showed that three types of career specific parenting behavior was not moderating the effect of parental job insecurity to career decision self-efficacy. Therefore this research showed that three types of career specific parenting behavior do not strengthen or weaken the effect of parental job insecurity on career decision self-efficacy.

"Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran adaptabilitas karier dalam memediasi hubungan antara eksplorasi karier dan keyakinan terhadap keputusan karier, sehingga mampu mendukung mahasiswa sarjana tingkat akhir untuk memiliki keyakinan terhadap keputusan karier. Partisipan penelitian merupakan mahasiswa sarjana tingkat akhir yang menempuh studi di perguruan tinggi Indonesia dan sudah memiliki pengalaman eksplorasi karier dalam kurun waktu minimal enam bulan (n = 105). Metode analisis statistik yang digunakan adalah percentile bootstrapping method dengan perangkat lunak PROCESS milik Hayes. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa eksplorasi karier memiliki pengaruh tidak langsung pada keyakinan terhadap keputusan karier melalui adaptabilitas karier sebagai mediator (ab = 0,189, CI = 99%, LLCI = 0,045, ULCI = 0,432). Individu yang telah melaksanakan eksplorasi karier akan memiliki kemampuan adaptabilitas karier dan mereka yang mampu menghadapi tantangan karier dapat merasa yakin pada keputusan karier yang dibuat. Limitasi dari penelitian ini adalah tidak adanya penjelasan konteks spesifik dari eksplorasi karier yang dilakukan oleh partisipan. Hasil penelitian dapat digunakan oleh otoritas perguruan tinggi dan pihak terkait untuk mengimplementasikan kegiatan eksplorasi karier bagi para mahasiswanya sejak semester awal.

Fresh graduates in Indonesia often experience negative impacts of undecidedness toward their career decisions in the last year of their study, such as job hopping and unemployment. This study aims to explain the role of career adaptability in mediating the relationship between career exploration and career decidedness. The participants of this study are Indonesian university’s undergraduates who have engaged in career exploration for six months or more (n = 105). The statistical analysis method used in this study is the percentile bootstrapping method using PROCESS founded by Hayes. The result shows that career exploration has an indirect effect on career decidedness through career adaptability as the mediator (ab = 0,189, CI = 99%, LLCI = 0,045, ULCI = 0,432). Individuals who have done career exploration will have career adaptability, and those who can adapt to their career challenges will feel decided with the career decision they have made. The limitation of this study is the absence of explanation regarding the specific context of the participants' career explorations. This study can be used by higher education institution authorities and related parties to implement career exploration programs for their students that can increase the students’ career adaptability and career decidedness."
