"Technical challenges in using diatoms for paleolimnological work are the identification and enumeration of diatom valves. Variations exist in the minimum number of valves to identify, ranging from 100 to 700 valves of the dominant species. This task can be very time consuming, particularly when the diatom valves are not abundant. This research was conducted to determine the minimum number of valves to be identified in the diatom assemblages from Rawapening Lake, Central Java, Indonesia. Based on the 314 samples obtained from Rawapening Lake, the diatom efficiency rose above 0.85 upon the minimum count of 300 valves. The number of diatom species identified remained stable after the minimum of 300 valves. Therefore, the minimum number of diatom’s valves identified to represent the assemblage for paleolimnological analysis was 300."

"Danau Rawapening merupakan bagian dari Daerah Tangkapan Air (DTA) Rawapening yang memiliki sembilan subdas yang mengalir menuju danau ini. Penggunaan tanah merupakan salah satu faktor penentu erosi yang bersifat dinamis. Perubahan penggunaan tanah di DTA Rawapening mempengaruhi besar kecilnya erosi yang terjadi. Semakin besar erosi yang terjadi maka semakin banyak pula sedimen yang terbawa ke Danau Rawapening. Banyaknya sedimen yang terbawa ke danau berdampak pada perubahan luas danau yang nantinya juga berimbas kepada fungsi danau itu sendiri.
Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa luas danau meluas ke arah barat yaitu di Subdas Torong. Subdas Torong memiliki konsentrasi sedimen tersuspensi yang cukup tinggi yaitu 142 mg/l. Perubahan penggunaan tanah di Subdas Torongcukup signifikan, fungsi lahan sebagai hutan semakin berkurang dan akhirnya habis sedangkan permukiman semakin bertambah. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa sedimen yang masuk ke dalam danau mempengaruhi jumlah air yang dapat di tampung danau yang berimbas pada luas danau itu sendiri.

Rawapening Lake is a part of Rawapening Water Catchment Area, which has nine subwatersheds streaming into the lake. Landuse is considered as one determinant factor of erosion. Landuse change in the Rawapening Water Catchment Area determines the amount of erosion occurrence; the more the erosion occurs, the more sediment is transported into the lake. The amount of sediment in the lake may impact the lake’s width, and affects the function of the lake.
The research concludes that the lake’s width expands to the west side of the lake, Torong subwatershed. Torong subwatershed has the second highest suspended sediment concentration among the nine subwatersheds, 142 mg/l. Landuse change in Torong subwatershed is quite significant from time to time, forest was decreasing and eventually vanished, on the other hand, building is increasing. In conclusion, the sediment which is transported into the lake affects lake capacity and also its width.

"Tingkat sedimentasi di danau rawapening cukup tinggi 778,93 ton / tahun , yang disebabkan oleh kondisi lingkungan di sekitar tangkapan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan karakteristik spasial danau dengan kondisi lingkungan sekitarnya. Parameter yang diamati adalah Muatan padat tersuspensi di danau, erosi dari masing-masing daerah tangkapan, dan keluarnya setiap sungai. Muatan Padat Tersuspensi dipantau menggunakan penginderaan jauh 0,5-0,6?m panjang gelombang tahun 2017, debit sungai dihitung menggunakan metode Rasional, dan erosi ditentukan menggunakan metode Hazarika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan debit sungai berbanding terbalik dengan muatan padatan tersuspensi, sedangkan besarnya erosi berkorelasi positif dengan muatan padatan tersuspensi.

Sedimentation rate in rawapening lake is fairly high 778.93 tons year , which is caused by the environmental conditions surrounding the catchment. This study is aimed to determine the relation of spatial characteristics of the lake with surrounding environmental condition. The parameters observed were suspended solid load in the lake, erosion from each catchment area, and the discharge of each river suroundings. Suspended solid load was monitored using remote sensing 0.5 0.6 m wavelength of 2017, river discharge was calculated using Rational method, and erosion was determined using Hazarika method. The results show river discharge wasinversely proportional to suspended solid load, while the magnitude of erosion positively correlates with the suspended solid load.

"Penelitian ini membahas determinan kebijakan penetapan upah minimum kabupaten/kota di Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh Kebutuhan Hidup Layak (KHL), PDRB, pengangguran, tingkat kepadatan penduduk, jumlah angkatan kerja berpendidikan SMA terhadap penetapan nilai Upah Minimum Kabupaten/Kota (UMK) dan menganalisis kebijakan publik Gubernur dalam rangka penetapan upah minimum Kabupaten/Kota. Metodologi penelitian ini secara kuantitatif dilakukan dengan model ekonometrika regresi data panel metode estimasi Random Effect menggunakan bantuan software Stata versi 13. Penelitian kualitatif dengan metode pengamatan dan wawancara mendalam. Hasil analisis menunjukkan secara statistik Kebutuhan Hidup Layak (KHL), Produk Domestik Regional Bruto (PDRB), tingkat angkatan kerja berpendidikan minimal SMA terbukti signifikan dan positif mempengaruhi kebijakan penentuan Upah Minimium Kabupaten/Kota di Jawa Tengah. Adapun pengangguran dan kepadatan penduduk mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan dan berkorelasi negatif dengan upah minimum. Kebijakan upah minimum dipengaruhi oleh kepemimpinan gubernur. Kabupaten/kota yang berdekatan secara geografis cenderung mempunyai tingkat range nilai upah minimum yang sama.

This study discusses the minimum wage fixing policy determinants for regencies/cities in Central Java Province. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Living Needs, GDP, unemployment, population density, the level of at least high school educated work force against the determination of the value of the Minimum Wages Regency/City and analyze the public policy of Governors in the context of minimum wage fixing. The quantitative research methodology conducted by econometric panel data regression (Random Effects estimation methods) using statistical software Stata version 13. Qualitative research methods using observation and in-depth interviews. The analysis showed statistically that the Living Needs, GDP, the level of at least high school educated work force proved significant and positively affect the determination of minimium wages policy. As for the unemployment and population density has a significant influence and negative to the minimum wage. Minimum wage policy influenced by governor leadership. Districts/cities that are geographically contiguous, tend to have same minimum wages range."

"Pulau Jawa merupakan salah satu bagian penting dari kompleks geologi Indonesia dan memiliki sejarah geologi yang sangat kompleks. Salah satu wilayah di Jawa yang terkena dampak dari aktivitas tektonik tersebut adalah Jawa Tengah. Mengingat Jawa Tengah sendiri merupakan Provinsi dengan penduduk ketiga terbanyak di Indonesia, maka diperlukan penelitian untuk mengidentifikasi struktur geologi yang terjadi akibat aktivitas tektonik tersebut terutama terhadap potensi bencana alam, khususnya gempa bumi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode gravitasi dengan data gravitasi Topex. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan setidaknya terdapat 7 sesar di daerah penelitian dengan kedalamanan zona regional sedalam 15,37 km dan kedalaman zona residual sedalam 1,45 km. Penelitian ini juga dapat memetakan daerah dengan risiko bencana gempa bumi yang tinggi, yaitu daerah di sekitar Sesar Opak.

Java Island is one of the important parts of the geological complex of Indonesia and has a very complex geological history. One of the regions in Java affected by tectonic activities is Central Java. Considering that Central Java itself is the third most populous province in Indonesia, research is needed to identify the geological structures resulting from these tectonic activities, especially regarding the potential for natural disasters, particularly earthquakes. This research uses the gravity method with Topex gravity data. The research results indicate that there are at least 7 faults in the study area with a regional zone depth of up to 15.37 km and a residual zone depth of 1.45 km. This research can also map areas with high earthquake disaster risk, particularly the areas around the Opak Fault."

"Nutrition become an important part that affect the quality of life. Malnutrition have a direct impact on growth disorders and immune system especially during the first two years of a child's life, and malnutrition in the long run effect on productivity in adulthood. This study aims to determine the minimum cost diet in the nutritional status of children 12-23 months in the north coast of Brebes District. The study design was cross sectional by processing the primary data are taken in five sub-district in May 2012 with a sample of as many as 296 samples.
The results showed that more serious nutritional problems lead to stunting problems (47.9%) and underweight (37.4%). The results of bivariate analysis showed an association between energy and protein intake with nutritional status (length for age); energy intake, protein, carbohydrates, fats, and the diversity of foods with nutritional status (weight for age); gender, caregiver knowledge, energy intake, protein, carbohydrates, fats, food diversity and the minimum cost of a nutritious diet with nutritional status (weightfor length). Multivariate analysis of protein intake as a dominant factor related to the problem of stunting and underweight, and energy intake as the dominant factor associated with the problem of wasting in children 12-23 months.
The results suggest that increased knowledge of the caregiver in terms of feeding through various channels of information is absolutely necessary."
