"This book introduces fundamental concepts of cyber resilience, drawing expertise from academia, industry, and government. Resilience is defined as the ability to recover from or easily adjust to shocks and stresses. Unlike the concept of security - which is often and incorrectly conflated with resilience -- resilience refers to the system's ability to recover or regenerate its performance after an unexpected impact produces a degradation in its performance. A clear understanding of distinction between security, risk and resilience is important for developing appropriate management of cyber threats.
The book presents insightful discussion of the most current technical issues in cyber resilience, along with relevant methods and procedures. Practical aspects of current cyber resilience practices and techniques are described as they are now, and as they are likely to remain in the near term.
The bulk of the material is presented in the book in a way that is easily accessible to non-specialists. Logical, consistent, and continuous discourse covering all key topics relevant to the field will be of use as teaching material as well as source of emerging scholarship in the field. A typical chapter provides introductory, tutorial-like material, detailed examples, in-depth elaboration of a selected technical approach, and a concise summary of key ideas."

This study was conducted to gain picture of resilience among Aceh earthquake and tsunami survivors. The concept of resiliency refers to the five characeristic of resiliency from Wagnild (2010), which are meaningfulness, perseverance, equanimity, self-reliance, and existential aloneness. Picture of resilience was obtained using the CD-RISC 10 (Connor & Davidson, 2003) and through interviews. Data were collected at Banda Aceh, which suffered most damage from tsunami. Altogether 25 participants of 21-24 years old took the questionnaire and four people of the same age were interviewed.
The results indicate that most participants get middle score of resilience. The Acehnese cultural aspects associated with resiliency ability among eruption survivors are iman, akhlaq, to struggle and overcome difficulties, religious activity, community support, and fading of Aceh traditional values. Recommendations for further research are included.

This research was conducted to find the correlation between family resilience and hope among college students from poor families. Family resilience was measured using Walsh Family Resilience Questionnaire (WFRQ) that originally constructed by Walsh (personal communication, April 1, 2012) and hope was measured using the original version of State Hope Scale (SHS) by Snyder (1994). The participants of this research are 247 college students who come from poor families.
The main results of this research show that family resilience positive significantly correlated with hope (r = 0.388; p = 0.000, significant at L.o.S 0.01). That is, the higher family resilience, the higher showing hopes. In addition, the result shows that 15.1% of family resilience score can be explained by the score of hope. Based on these results, it is important to develop hope intervention, as one of protective factor of family resilience.
