"Masa transisi yang dijalani oleh mahasiswa tingkat awal dapat berpengaruh dalam proses belajarnya. Mahasiswa semester awal yang memiliki prestasi akademis yang kurang memuaskan dapat mengarah pada putus kuliah dan hal ini dapat diatasi dengan keterlibatan belajar. Dengan menggunakan perspektif Self Determination Theory, penelitian ini ingin mengetahui apakah pemenuhan kebutuhan dasar psikologis memiliki peran mediasi pada hubungan antara dukungan makna belajar dari orang tua dan keterlibatan belajar mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan self report questionaire, yang diisi oleh 736 mahasiswa aktif yang duduk di tingkat pertama Fakultas Teknik, Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Fakultas Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Hasil analisa dengan menggunakan Process macro by Andrew Hayes menunjukkan bahwa dukungan makna belajar dari orang tua memiliki pengaruh yang lebih besar pada keterlibatan belajar mahasiswa melalui pemenuhan kebutuhan dasar psikologis. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar orang tua dalam memberikan dukungan akan makna belajar tetap memperhatikan pemenuhan kebutuhan otonomi, kompetensi dan hubungan dengan orang lain agar mahasiswa dapat terlibat dalam belajar.
The transition period undertaken by the early graduate students can be influential in the learning process. Early term students with unsatisfactory academic achievement may lead to drop out and this may be overcome by student engagement. Using the Self Determination Theory perspective, this study wanted to know whether basic psychological needs satisfaction has a mediating role in the relationship between parents support on meaning of learning and student engagement. This research uses self report quesionaire, filled by 736 active students who sit in first level of Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences and Faculty of Social Sciences Universitas Negeri Jakarta. The result of analysis by using Process macro by Andrew Hayes shows that the parents support on meaning of learning has a bigger influence on student engagement through basic psychological needs satisfaction. This study recommends that parents in providing support on meaning of learning still pay attention to fullfill needs of autonomy, competence and relationships with others to form student engagement. "

"Keterlibatan belajar merupakan salah satu variabel yang memiliki peran terhadap kesuksesan akademis dan mencegah putus kuliah. Dalam perspektif Self-Determination Theory SDT , keterlibatan belajar merupakan hubungan dialektik antara lingkungan belajar dengan kebutuhan dasar psikologis. Teman sebaya sebagai agen di lingkungan belajar memiliki peran dalam keterlibatan belajar terutama di perguruan tinggi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menguji peran mediasi pemenuhan kebutuhan dasar psikologis terhadap hubungan dukungan makna belajar dari teman sebaya dan keterlibatan belajar mahasiswa. Partisipan penelitian sejumlah 736 mahasiswa semester 2 pada Rumpun Ilmu Sosial, Rumpun Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, dan Rumpun Ilmu Teknik di Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengambilan data dengan kuesioner dan menggunakan metode olah data IBM Statistic SPSS 20: Process Macro by Andrew Hayes. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah The Brief Personal Meaning Profile Wong, 2012 mengukur dukungan makna belajar dari teman sebaya, Engaged Learning Index Schreiner Louis, 2006 mengukur keterlibatan belajar, Basic Psychological Needs Satisfaction Scale Deci Ryan, 2000 mengukur pemenuhan kebutuhan dasar psikologis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemenuhan kebutuhan dasar psikologis memiliki peran mediasi parsial terhadap hubungan dukungan makna belajar dari teman sebaya dan keterlibatan belajar mahasiswa.
AbstractStudent engagement in the learning process has a role in the academic success and prevent drop out. According to Self Determination Theory, student engagement is the result of dialectical relationship between learning environments and the basic psychological needs satisfaction. Peers as an agent in the learning environment has a role influencing student engagement in learning including student in higher education. The purpose of this study was to examine the role of basic psychological needs satisfaction as a mediator between peers support meaning in learning and college student engagement. Respondents in this study were 736 freshman from State University of Jakarta. Engaged Learning Index Schreiner Louis, 2006 was used to measure college student engagement, The Brief Personal Meaning Profile Wong, 2012 was used to measure peers support meaning in learning, and Basic Psychological Needs Satisfaction Scale Deci Ryan, 2000 was used to get the data of basic psychological needs satisfaction. The process macro by Andrew Hayes for SPSS was used to test the mediation variable. The result of the study indicated that basic psychological needs satisfaction partially mediated the relationship between peers support meaning in learning and college student engagement. "

"Perkembangan dunia yang semakin maju menyebabkan kebutuhan akan tenaga terampil pada aspek keilmuan dari jenjang pendidikan formal semakin tinggi, sedangkan untuk dapat mengakses pendidikan formal membutuhkan biaya yang sulit dijangkau oleh masyarakat kurang mampu sehingga perusahaan ikut berkontribusi dengan bentuk program Corporate social responsibility (CSR). Keterlibatan dan kontribusi perusahaan sebagai tanggung jawab filantropi pada CSR untuk masyarakat tersebut dilakukan dalam berbagai macam bentuk, salah satunya adalah bantuan pada bidang pendidikan dalam bentuk beasiswa. Bantuan beasiswa dinilai menjadi salah satu partisipasi perusahaan dalam upaya meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan program beasiswa dan mendeskripsikan manfaat program “Beasiswa mahasiswa asal Sulawesi Selatan”. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik wawancara mendalam. Pelaksanaan beasiswa didorong karena masih terbatasnya kapasitas sebagian kelompok masyarakat dalam menempuh pendidikan, sehingga dengan adanya bantuan beasiswa dapat memberikan ruang serta peluang bagi masyarakat untuk meningkatkan kapasitas serta kontribusinya bagi kelompoknya dimasa mendatang yang sejalan dengan tujuan perusahaan melakukan program-program CSR. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa pelaksanaan program beasiswa Kalla Group dimulai dari tahap pendaftaran, verifkasi dan seleksi penerima beasiswa dengan memprioritaskan penerima dari masyarakat dengan keterbatasan keuangan untuk melanjutkan pendidikan. Kemudian pada pelaksanaan program, penerima beasiswa juga diwajibkan mengikuti kegiatan community development ataupun kegiatan sosial mandiri yang mengakibatkan peningkatan kepedulian penerima beasiswa untuk berkontribusi kepada masyarakat sekitar. Sedangkan manfaat program beasiswa terhadap prestasi memberikan manfaat dalam mendukung peningkatan nilai akademik dan prestasi non-akademik pada beneficiaries.
The development of an increasingly advanced world causes the need for skilled workers in the scientific aspect from the formal education level to be higher, while being able to access formal education requires costs that are difficult to reach for the poor so that companies contribute to the form of Corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs. The involvement and contribution of the company as a philanthropic responsibility to CSR for the community is carried out in various forms, one of which is assistance in the field of education in the form of scholarships. Scholarship assistance is considered to be one of the company's participation in efforts to improve the quality of education. The purpose of this research is to describe how the scholarship program is implemented and to describe the benefits of the “South Sulawesi Student Scholarship” program. This study used qualitative research methods, data collection was carried out by in-depth interview techniques. The implementation of scholarships is encouraged due to the limited capacity of some community groups in pursuing education, so that the scholarship assistance can provide space and opportunities for the community to increase their capacity and contribution to their group in the future which is in line with the company's objectives of conducting CSR programs. The conclusion of this study shows that the implementation of the Kalla Group scholarship program starts from the registration, verification and selection stages of scholarship recipients by prioritizing recipients from the community with financial limitations to continue their education. Then in the implementation of the program, scholarship recipients are also required to participate in community development activities or independent social activities which result in increased awareness of scholarship recipients to contribute to the surrounding community. Meanwhile, the benefits of the scholarship program on achievement provide benefits in supporting the increase in academic scores and non-academic achievements of beneficiaries."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran mediasi pemenuhan kebutuhan dasar psikologis terhadap hubungan antara persepsi dukungan makna belajar dari dosen dan keterlibatan belajar mahasiswa. Jawaban dari hasil penelitian ini penting untuk dapat meningkatkan kualitas keterlibatan belajar, yang mampu menjadi intervensi awal dalam menekan angka putus kuliah.
Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian kuantitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner, dengan partisipan sebanyak 736 mahasiswa tingkat satu. Alat ukur yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Engagement Learning Index untuk mengukur keterlibatan belajar, Personal Meaning Profile untuk mengukur persepsi dukungan makna belajar mahasiswa dari dosen dan Basic Psychological Needs Scale untuk mengukur pemenuhan kebutuhan dasar psikologis. Data yang terhimpun dianalisis menggunakan regresi mediasi Hayess.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemenuhan kebutuhan psikologis secara signifikan memediasi secara parsial terhadap hubungan antara persepsi dukungan makna belajar dari dosen dan keterlibatan belajar mahasiswa. Temuan dari penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa dukungan makna belajar dari dosen berperan penting dalam memenuhi kebutuhan dasar psikologis untuk meningkatkan kualitas keterlibatan belajar mahasiswa.
The study aimed to answer, 'Is the fulfillment of basic psychological needs can be mediator between teacher's meaning support in learning and student engagement'. The answer of this research is important to improve the quality of student engagement, that can be the first intervention in reducing the drop out rate. This is quantative reasearch with self report quesionnaire. 736 participans on first rate student. The measuring instruments are Engagement Learning Index to measure student engagement, Personal Meaning Profile to measure the perception teacher's meaning support in learning and Basic Psychological Needs Scale to measure the fulfillment of basic psychological needs. The collected data were analyzed using Hayess mediation regression. The result of this research revealed that fulfillment of psychological needs significantly became a partial mediator between the perception teacher's meaning support in learning and Student Engagement. Finding from this study show that teachers have an important role in meeting basic psychological needs, to improve the quality of student engagement."

"Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap mahasiswa baru Universitas Indonesia angkatan 2013 berjumlah 726 dan bertujuan untuk menjawab pertanyaan peneliti mengenai ?Apakah dukungan makna belajar dari dosen, motivasi intrinsik, self-efficacy, dan pandangan mahasiswa terhadap dosen sebagai otoritas sumber informasi berpengaruh terhadap keterlibatan belajar mahasiswa dalam perkuliahan??. Untuk meneliti dan mendapatkan pemahaman yang menyeluruh mengenai faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi keterlibatan belajar mahasiswa dalam aktivitas perkuliahannya, peneliti menggunakan sudut pandang antropologi untuk menjelaskan dinamika yang terjadi dalam diri mahasiswa dan sudut pandang epistemologi untuk menjelaskan proses pembentukan pengetahuan dalam belajar. Berdasarkan analisis literatur Perspektif Self Determination Theory dan Epistemological Beliefs Theory peneliti membangun Model Persamaan Struktural Keterlibatan Belajar. Hipotesis penelitian ini adalah "Model persamaan struktural keterlibatan belajar sesuai dengan data penelitian". Variabel-variabel penelitian dalam model persamaan struktural keterlibatan belajar yang diteliti dalam penelitian ini adalah dukungan makna belajar dari dosen, motivasi intrinsik, selfefficacy, pandangan otoritas sumber informasi, dan keterlibatan belajar. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dalam dua tahap penelitian. Pada tahap penelitian pendahuluan dilakukan penelusuran prioritas kebutuhan dasar psikologik dan pada penelitian utama dilakukan pengujian model persamaan struktural keterlibatan belajar. Hasil utama penelitian mengungkap bahwa dukungan makna belajar dari dosen dan pandangan mahasiswa terhadap dosennya sebagai otoritas sumber informasi secara signifikan memengaruhi keterlibatan belajar melalui self-efficacy dan motivasi intrinsik. Artinya, dukungan makna belajar dari dosen dan pandangan mahasiswa terhadap dosennya sebagai otoritas sumber informasi dapat meningkatkan kualitas keterlibatan belajar mahasiswa dalam perkuliahan. Peneliti memaparkan keterbatasan, implikasi dan saran penelitian sehubungan dengan hasil penelitian.
The study is focused on University of Indonesia Freshman of 2013 to answer the research question "How students perceive this lectures and student's engagement in class". To get a complete understanding of the factors that influence students engagement, anthropological and epistemological views are used. Based on Self Determination Theory and Epistemological Beliefs Theory this study constructs a Structural Model of Student Engagement and suggests the hypothesis that "Student engagement structural model fits with the data". Variables in this study are lecturer's support in making learning meaningful, intrinsic motivation, selfefficacy, students? perceived epistemic authority, and student engagement. The hypothesis is tested in 2 stages. In the first stage, a mixed methods study is used to discover priority of students basic psychological needs. In the second stage of the study, The Structural Equation Model is used to test the student engagement theoretical model. Overall, results of statistical testing accepted the hypothesized structural model, fitting with the observed data. The researcher also discusses the limitation of the study."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efektifitas beasiswa terhadap pekerja anak dengan variabel kontrol variabel sosial ekonomi dan karakteristik sosio demografi, unit analisisnya adalah anak berusia 10 ? 17 tahun menggunakan data Susenas 2012. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial dengan menggunakan Model Regresi Logit. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan beasiswa, kondisi sosial ekonomi/kemiskinan, jenis kelamin anak, jenis kelamin kepala rumah tangga, disabilitas kepala rumah tangga, tingkat pendidikan kepala rumah tangga, status kerja kepala rumah tangga, jumlah anggota rumah tangga, dan tempat tinggal rumah tangga secara statistik mempengaruhi secara signifikan anak menjadi pekerja.
The purpose of this research is to identify the effectiveness of scholarship toward child labor by control variables of social economy condition and socio-demographics characteristic with unit analysis of children between 10-17 using data Susenas 2012. The analytical method in this research is descriptive and inferential analysis by using Logit Regression Model. The result indicates that scholarship, social economy condition/poverty, gender of the child, gender of the head of household, disability of the head of household, education level of the head of household, employment status of the head of household, and area the household live statistically affect significantly children become labor."

"Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat hubungan antara keterlibatan belajar dan adaptabilitas karier pada siswa kelas 9. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 611 siswa yang berasal dari dua SMPN di Depok yang termasuk pada tahap perkembangan remaja. Untuk mengukur adaptabilitas karier digunakan alat ukur Career Adapt-Abilities Scale CAAS yang dikembangkan oleh Savickas dan Porfeli 2012. Keterlibatan belajar diukur menggunakan alat ukur School Engagement Measurement SEM -MacArthur yang dikembangkan oleh Fredricks, Blumenfeld, Friedel, dan Paris 2005. Untuk melihat hubungan antara keterlibatan belajar dan adaptabilitas karier, peneliti menggunakan teknik statistik Pearson Correlation. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara keterlibatan belajar dengan adaptabilitas karier. Dimensi keterlibatan belajar yang memiliki hubungan paling kuat dengan adaptabilitas karier adalah keterlibatan kognitif.
This research was conducted to find the relationship between learning engagement and career adaptability on 9th grade students. Participants in this study were 611 students from two junior high schools in Depok, West Java, Indonesia, who are classified as adolescents in development stage theories Papalia Feldmand, 2012. To measure career adaptability, the Career Adapt Abilities Scale CAAS developed by Savickas dan Porfeli 2012 was used. The School Engagement Measurement SEM MacArthur developed by Fredricks, Blumenfeld, Friedel, and Paris 2005 was implemented to measure learning engagement. To identify the relationship between learning engagement and career adaptability The Pearson Correlation statistical method was used. The results showed that there was a significant positive relationship between learning engagement and career adaptability. Cognitive engagement was the dimension of learning engagement with the strongest relation to career adaptability."

"Pada masa pandemi Covid-19, taruna di Akademi Kepolisian yang menjalani Perkuliahan Jarak Jauh (PJJ) menunjukan tampak kurang terlibat dalam belajar. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara awal, taruna kurang terlibat dalam belajar karena mengalami berbagai hambatan dan tantangan belajar yang dijalani secara tatap maya. Penelitian terdahulu menunjukkan bahwa untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan belajar, kebutuhan dasar psikologis peserta didik harus terpuaskan oleh dosen. Selain itu, peserta didik yang memiliki kemampuan academic buoyancy dapat mengatasi hambatan akademik sehari-hari sehingga dapat terlibat dalam belajar. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat peran academic buoyancy terhadap hubungan pemuasan kebutuhan dasar psikologis dan keterlibatan belajar. Partisipan penelitian ini berjumlah 279 taruna Akpol yang diukur dengan School Engagement Measurement, Basic Psychological Needs Satisfaction, dan Academic Buoyancy Scale. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis mediasi Macro PROCESS dari Hayes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan academic buoyancy memediasi secara parsial hubungan antara pemuasan kebutuhan dasar psikologis dan keterlibatan belajar. Pemuasan kebutuhan dasar psikologis dapat memengaruhi keterlibatan belajar secara langsung, namun peran mediator academic buoyancy dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan belajar taruna selama menjalani PJJ. Penelitian ini juga membahas implikasi dan saran bagi institusi, dosen, taruna serta penelitian selanjutnya.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, cadets at the Police Academy who attend school from home or distance learning, showed that they were less engaged in learning. Based on the initial interviews, cadets are less engaged in learning because they experience various obstacles and challenges in virtual learning. Previous research showed that to increase student engagement, the basic psychological needs of students must be fulfilled by the lecturer. In addition, students who have academic buoyancy skills can overcome daily academic obstacles to be engaged in learning. This research was conducted to see the role of academic buoyancy in the relationship between basic psychological needs satisfaction and student engagement. Participants in this study were 279 cadets of Police Academy measured by the ‘School Engagement Measurement’, ‘Basic Psychological Needs Satisfaction’, and ‘Academic Buoyancy Scale’. The results showed that academic buoyancy partially mediates the relationship between basic psychological needs satisfaction and student engagement. The basic psychological needs satisfaction can directly affect student engagement, but the role of an academic buoyancy as mediator can increase the student engagement of cadets during distance learning . This research also discusses implications and suggestions for institutions, lecturers, cadets, and further research."

"Pandemi Covid-19 menyebabkan perubahan sistem pembelajaran di perguruan tinggi, yaitu adanya penerapan kebijakan Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh (PJJ) secara daring, Akibatnya mahasiswa mengalami masalah penyesuaian diri. Strategi koping penting untuk membantu penyesuaian diri. Studi sebelumnya menunjukkan bahwa strategi koping berhubungan dengan dukungan sosial, dan dukungan sosial dapat mempengaruhi penyesuaian diri mahasiswa tahun pertama. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meneliti persepsi dukungan sosial dalam memediasi hubungan strategi koping dan penyesuaian diri mahasiswa tahun pertama di masa pandemi Covid-19. Partisipan penelitian berjumlah 684 mahasiswa tahun pertama. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah College Adjustment Questionnaire (CAQ), Coping Flexibility Scale-Revised (CFS-R), dan Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS). Pengolahan data menggunakan simple mediation. Hasil menunjukkan hubungan antara strategi koping dengan penyesuaian diri mahasiswa tahun pertama di masa pandemi Covid-19 dimediasi oleh persepsi dukungan sosial dari keluarga (=0.78), teman (=0.60), dan orang penting lainnya (=0.08), p<0.00. Implikasi dari penelitian ini dapat menjadi masukan bagi universitas untuk mengintegrasikan pengembangan keterampilan strategi koping dalam program tahun pertama, serta mendukung hubungan yang positif dan berkelanjutan dengan orang tua, keluarga, dan teman-teman baru yang telah terjalin sebelumnya untuk membantu proses penyesuaian diri mahasiswa tahun pertama
The Covid-19 pandemic caused changes in the learning system in universities. The implementation of this system entitled Online Distance Learning. Because of the policy, undergraduate students experienced adjustment problems. Coping strategies are important to help with adjustment. Previous studies have shown that coping strategies were related to social support, also can influence the adjustment of first-year students. The purpose of this study was to examine perceptions of social support in mediating the relationship between coping strategies and adjustment of first-year students during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research participants were 684 first year students. The data were collected using The College Adjustment Questionnaire (CAQ), Coping Flexibility Scale- Revised (CFS-R), and The Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS). Data processing using simple mediation. The results show that the relationship between coping strategies and the adjustment of first-year students during the Covid-19 pandemic is mediated by perceived social support from family (=0.78), friends (=0.60), and significant others (=0.08), p< 0.00. The implications of this research could be a consideration for universities to integrate the development of coping strategy skills in the first year program, as well as support positive and sustainable relationships with parents, family, and new friends that have been established previously to help the adjustment process of first year students."

"[Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah pemenuhan kebutuhan dasar psikologis berperan sebagai mediator dalam hubungan antara persepsi siswa mengenai iklim emosional kelas dan keterlibatan siswa. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner lapor diri yang diisi oleh 391 siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) kelas 7 dan kelas 8 dari tiga SMP Negeri di Depok. Hasil analisa mediasi menunjukkan bahwa hubungan antara persepsi siswa mengenai iklim emosional kelas dan keterlibatan siswa dimediasi secara parsial oleh pemenuhan kebutuhan dasar psikologis. Hasil penelitian tersebut mengindikasikan bahwa pemenuhan kebutuhan dasar psikologis siswa di kelas berperan dalam menjelaskan hubungan antara persepsi siswa mengenai iklim emosional kelas dan keterlibatan siswa.
The aim of this study was to explore the role of basic psychological needs satisfaction as a mediator in the relationship between student’s perception of classroom emotional climate and student engagement. Data were collected through self-report questionnaire filled by 391 of 7th-grade and 8th-grade Junior High School students from three Public Junior High Schools in Depok. The result of mediation analyses showed that the relationship between student’s perception of classroom emotional climate and student engagement was partially mediated by basic psychological needs satisfaction. It indicated that student’s basic psychological needs satisfaction in the classroom took part in explaining the relationship between student’s perception of classroom emotional climate and student engagement.;The aim of this study was to explore the role of basic psychological needs satisfaction as a mediator in the relationship between student’s perception of classroom emotional climate and student engagement. Data were collected through self-report questionnaire filled by 391 of 7th-grade and 8th-grade Junior High School students from three Public Junior High Schools in Depok.
