"Anemia merupakan masalah kesehatan utama yang diderita 26,5% anak usia sekolah dan remaja di Indonesia. Dengan pendidikan gizi pada anak anemia di Sekolah Dasar diharapkan terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan gizi dan pola makan sehingga akan meningkatkan asupan besi dan kadar hemoglobin. Penelitian ini bertujuan mempelajari efek suplementasi besi dan pendidikan gizi terhadap pengetahuan gizi dan kadar hemoglobin anak SD yang anemia. Desain penelitian ini Quasy experiment with pretest postest control group. Penelitian dilakukan pada 107 sampel yang dibagi menjadi tiga kelompok. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan One Way Anova dan Kruskal Wallis Test untuk uji beda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kadar hemoglobin dan pengetahuan gizi pada ketiga kelompok mengalami peningkatan.
Peningkatan kadar hemoglobin terbesar pada kelompok suplementasi besi, vitamin C dan pendidikan gizi (2,89 poin), sedangkan peningkatan pengetahuan gizi terbesar pada kelompok suplementasi vitamin C dan pendidikan gizi (17,44 poin). Ada perbedaan bermakna perubahan pengetahuan gizi dan kadar hemoglobin anak SD yang anemia sebelum
dan sesudah intervensi pada ketiga kelompok intervensi. Disimpulkan Pendidikan gizi dipadukan dengan pemberian suplementasi besi dan vitamin C pada anak anemia akan memberikan hasil kenaikan kadar hemoglobin yang paling signifikan daripada pendidikan gizi atau suplementasi saja."

"Prevalensi anemia gizi pada anak Sekolah Dasar (SD) yang sampai sekarang masih tinggi (sekitar 30 %), merupakan sasaran prioritas ketiga dalam penanggulangan anemia.
Dampak buruk yang diakibatkan oleh anemia gizi, khususnya bagi anak sekolah akan dapat menurunkan konsentrasi dan prestasi belajar, malas, lemah, pasif, apatis dan sering terkena penyakit sehingga akhimya perkembangan dan pertumbuhannya akan terganggu.
Dalam upaya peningkatan dan pengembangan kualitas sumberdaya manusia yang sehat, produktif dan mempunyai inteligensia yang tinggi, maka pemerintah dalam hal ini Direktorat Bina Gizi Masyarakat, Departemen Kesehatan RI telah melaksanakan program Pemberian Makanan Tambahan bagi anak Sekolah Dasar (PMT-AS) dan tablet besi khususnya pada desa tertinggal di Indonesia.
Dalam penelitian ini, digunakan data sekunder yang dikumpulkan pada pelaksanaan program PMT-AS dan tablet besi terhadap 189 orang anak SD yang berasal dari 5 SD pada 5 Kabupaten di Propinsi Jawa Barat.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Pemberian Makanan Tambahan dan tablet besi terhadap perubahan status anemi gizi anak sekolah. Untuk itu, desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Praeksperimental dengan perlakuan ulang, dengan intervensi berupa makanan tambahan yang terdiri dari 200 - 300 kalori dengan 10 - 12 gram protein yang dibenkan selama 4 (empat bulan), serta tablet besi dosis 120 mg sebanyak 90 buah tablet yang diberikan yang diberikan setiap hari selama 3(tiga bulan).
Variabel yang diteliti adalah status anemia gizi setelah intervensi (dependen) dan variabel independen adalah : status anemia gizi sebelum intervensi, status gizi , umur, jenis kelamin, pengetahuan gizi, sikap gizi serta perilaku gizi.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya penurunan prevalensi anemia gizi dan 87.3 % menjadi 21.2 % setelah diberikan intervensi. Sedangkan dari hasil analisis statistik secara multivariat diketahui bahwa faktor yang sangat berpengaruh terhadap status anemia gizi setelah diberikan intervensi, berturut-turut adalah status anemia gizi awal, status gizi serta perilaku gizi anak.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, disarankan agar dalam pelaksanaan program penanggulangan anemia pada anak SD khususnya di desa tertinggal Propinsi Jawa Barat agar seluruh anak SD dibenkan tablet besi (blanket program), sedangkan secara individual perlu untuk mempnoritaskan anak yang menderita anemia serta mempunyai status gizi kurang yang kemungkinan besar tidak hanya terdapat di IDT. Disarankan pula agar dalam memberikan intervensi untuk penanggulangan anemia, untuk selalu dapat mengetahui kadar Hb anak dengan tepat sebelum dan sesudah pelaksanaan intervensi.

Effect of Iron Suplementation on Nutritional Anemia Status of Elementary School Children Recieving Suplementary School Feeding Package and Iron Tablets in Less Developed Villages, West Java 1995Up to now, the prevalence of nutritional anemia in school children is still high (± 30 %) and even though the third priority in nutritional anemia program.
Nutritional anemia has negative impact especially to school children. It will cause laziness, fatigue, less active, apathetic, and also decreasing learning capacity due to shortened attention span. So those would lower educational achievement, beside that anemic children are easily get sick which will affect their growth.
Healthy, productive and intelligent people are the goal of human resources development. The government especially Nutrition Development of the Ministry of Health conducts a supplementary school feeding and iron tablets. The target group is elementary school children of less developed villages in Indonesia.
This study used evaluative data on 189 children who received supplementary school feeding and Iron tablets in 5 elementary school in 5 districts in West Java which were collected In 1995. The objectives of the study are to find out the effect of supplementary feeding and iron tablets on the anemia status of children who received the package.
Study design was a pre-experimental designs which supplementary feeding and an iron tablet was given as intervention. The package consists of 200 - 300 calories and 10 - 12 gram protein per day were given for 4 months and 120 mg iron tablets was given daily for 3 months (90 tablets).
Nutrition anemia status alter intervention was the dependent variable while the independent variables were nutritional anemia status before intervention, nutritional status before intervention, age, sex, nutritional knowledge, attitude and practice on nutrition before intervention.
The result showed that after the intervention, the nutritional anemia status pevalence was decreased from 87.3 % to 21.2 %. Multivariate analysis showed that nutritional anemia status, nutritional status, and practices of nutrition before intervention were the variables that influence anemia status after intervention.
At macro level it is suggested that the implementation of similar program should be covered all school children (blanket program) of less developed villages. While at individually level, it is suggested that priority should be given only to children who suffered from anemia and under nutrition not only in the less developed villages area.

"Indonesia is still being challenged by nutritional problems, both under and over nutrition. The availability of various unhealthy food with attractive packaging combined with misconception of balance diet as 4 sehat 5 sempurna , might contribute to situation. This study aims at evaluating effectiveness of IEC strategy in changing knowledge, attitudes and practice regarding behavior diet among elementary school communities. The study design is a before and after, located at 2 public schools in depok, with 132 students grade 4 and 5 and their mother. Qualitative approach as well as baseline and endline surveys were used. Most students and their parents considered that balance diet is 4 sehat 5 sempurna. This knowledge was originated from their teachers teaching media. The teacher's knowledge was based on school reference book. Intervention has improved students main knowledge and attitude. While some pratices have improved there are others still need to be improved. It is concluded that IEC intervention is potential to change KAP of students. Teachers need to be supported by correct reference book to be in line with what they are teaching."

"Meningkatnya prevalensi kelebihan berat badan dan obesitas pada anak-anak sekolah dapat dicegah dengan memberikan edukasi gizi untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan gizi mereka. Media PowerPoint dan Wordwall game telah terbukti meningkatkan hasil pembelajaran dan minat serta motivasi selama pendidikan daring. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan pengaruh edukasi gizi daring menggunakan media PowerPoint, dengan dan tanpa permainan Wordwall, terhadap pengetahuan gizi pada anak-anak sekolah dasar yang mengalami kelebihan berat badan dan obesitas di Palembang. Penelitian ini menerapkan quasi-experimental design, menggunakan model nonequivalent control group, dan mengukur data pra dan pasca intervensi. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, sehingga diperoleh total 108 siswa yang mengalami kelebihan berat badan dan obesitas dengan usia 10-12 tahun, dengan 54 subjek di setiap kelompok. Data pengetahuan gizi diperoleh melalui kuesioner terstruktur yang sebelumnya telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Hasil uji T independen menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan dalam skor rata-rata pengetahuan gizi, dengan hasil yang lebih baik diamati pada kelompok eksperimen (p=<0,001). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa memberikan edukasi gizi daring melalui permainan Wordwall dan media PowerPoint lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan enam aspek pengetahuan gizi pada anak-anak sekolah dasar, dibandingkan dengan mereka yang hanya menggunakan slide Power Point.

The increasing prevalence of overweight and obesity in school children can be prevented by providing nutrition education to improve their nutrition knowledge. PowerPoint media and online games have been found to improve learning outcomes and increase interest and motivation during online education. This study aimed to analyze the difference in the effect of online nutritional education using PowerPoint media, with and without Wordwall games, on nutritional knowledge among overweight and obese elementary school-aged children in Palembang. It followed a quasi-experimental design, using a nonequivalent control group model, measured pre and post-intervention data. Sampling in the study utilized a purposive sampling technique, resulting in a total of 108 overweight and obese students aged 10-12 years old, with 54 subjects in each group. Nutritional knowledge data were obtained through structured questionnaires that had been previously tested for validity and reliability. The results of the Independent T-test demonstrated a significant difference in the mean scores of nutrition knowledge, with better results observed in the experimental group (p= <0.001). This indicates that providing online nutrition education through Wordwall games and PowerPoint media is more effective in improving six aspects of nutritional knowledge in elementary school children compared to those who only use PowerPoint slides."

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah pendekatan KIE (Komunikasi, Edukasi dan Informasi) di sekolah dapat merubah Pengetahuan, Sikap dan Praktek (PSP) anak
sekolah tentang Gizi Seimbang. Penelitian ini dilakukan di dua Sekolah Dasar Negeri (SDN) di Kota Depok, melibatkan 132 anak kelas 4 dan 5. Desain penelitian adalah before and after, dengan metoda pengumpulan data secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Sebagian besar siswa dan ibunya ternyata mempunyai pendapat bahwa gizi seimbang sama dengan ?4 Sehat 5 Sempurna?. Pengertian ini didapat murid dari apa yang diajarkan gurunya, sedangkan guru bersumber dari Buku Ajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam. Intervensi KIE telah meningkatkan pengetahuan dan sikap, serta sebagian
praktek murid dan orang tua. Disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan KIE mempunyai potensi yang baik untuk merubah PSP anak sekolah. Disarankan agar buku ajar guru disesuaikan sehingga materi yang disampaikan kepada murid sekolah berisi pesan yang tepat."

"Prevalensi kejadian anemia defisiensi besi pada anak balita di Indonesia masih tinggi yaitu 47,2% (Depkes, 2000). Sedangkan data terakhir prevalensi anemia defisiensi besi pada balita meningkat dari 40% (Dep.Kes, 1995) menjadi 48.1%(Depkes, 2001). Penelitian ini selain untuk mengetahui prevalensi anemia khususnya di Posyandu wilayah Pisangan Baru Matraman Jakarta Timur juga untuk meneliti faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan perubahan/peningkatan kadar Hb anak balita anemia usia 6-59 bulan sesudah suplementasi besi selama 12 minggu.
Rancangan penelitian ini dengan disain cross sectional studi analitik menggunakan data sekunder, hasil kuesioner/wawancara, dan observasi Iingkungan. Populasi penelitian adalah anak balita yang ada di 5 Posyandu Pisangan baru Matraman Jakarta Timur. Sampel penelitian adalah anak balita anemia yang telah diperiksa kadar Hb awal sebelum suplementasi besi diberikan dan kadar Hb akhir setelah suplementasi besi selama 12 minggu. Jumlah sampel 85 balita. Sampel terbagi dua yaitu 67% (57 balita) balita dengan kadar Hb mengalami perubahan atau kenaikan dan 33% (28 balita) balita yang tidak mengalami kenaikan kadar Hb. Pengolahan dan analisis data menggunakan program komputer SPSS versi 13.0.
Faktor yang berhubungan bermakna dengan kenaikan kadar Hb anak balita pada 'analisis multivariat adalah faktor status imunisasi (POR = 3.33, 95% CI 1 1.15-9.66), faktor penghasilan keluarga (POR = 3.04, 95% CI : l-12-8.23) dan faktor riwayat infeksi pada balita (POR = 2.76, 95% CI : 1.00-7.61). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan faktor yang paling dominan berhubungan bermakna dengan kenaikan kadar Hb balita di Posyandu Pisangan Baru yaitu status imunisasi balita (POR = 3.33, 95% CI : 1.15-9.66), artinya balita yang status imunisasinya lengkap mempunyai peluang 3.33 kali utuk kadar Hb-nya mengalami kenaikan daripada balita yang status imunisasinya tidak lengkap. Sedangkan faktor yang tidak berhubungan dengan kenaikan kadar Hb berdasarkan karakteristik anak adalah umur, jenis kelamin, dau status gizi. Berdasarkan karakteristik keluarga, faktor yang tidak berhubungan dengan kenaikan kadar Hb adalah pendidikan ibu dan jumlah anak balita dalam keluarga.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini upaya yang perlu dilakukan: Bagi Dinkes DKI Jakarta pentingnya kebijakan Program screening rutin dengan melakukan pemeriksaan kadar Hb awal untuk mengetahui prevalensi anemia sesungguhnya sebelum dilakukan intervensi dini suplementasi besi dan pemeriksaan kadar Hb akhir untuk evaluasi keberhasilan intervensi di Jakarta Timur, dan umumnya di DKI Jakarta. Penting untuk perluasan program cakupan imunisasi pada balita, agar kadar Hb anak balita anemia yang diberikan intervensi mengalami kenaikan. Bagi Pemerintah dalam hal ini Negara berkoordinasi dengan Dinas Kesehatan DKI Jakarta dan sektor terkait lainnya untuk pertimbangan kebijakan Program Ketahanan pangan gizi seperti program penyediaan Makanan Pendamping ASI (MP-ASI) atau bahan-bahan nutrisi makanan yang diprioritaskan pada keluarga berpenghasilan rendah sehingga kadar Hb balita anemia mengalami kenaikan, mencegah terjadinya anemia berulang, dan mencegah terjadinya infeksi.

Prevalence of iron deticiencies anemia among children under five years are still high. It is amount 47,2% (Health Department, 2000). While the last data from prevalence of iron deficiencies anemia among children under five years old improved irom amount 40% (Health Department, 1995) became 48,1% (Health Department, 2001). This study aim to know anaemia prevalence especially at Posyandu of Pisangan Baru Matrarnan, East Jakarta and also for checking factors related to improved Hb rate among children under live years old with anemia aged 6-59 months after iron supplementation during12 weeks.
This study used a cross sectional design by study analytic using secondary data, qustioer or interview result, and improvement observation. Study population are children under Eve years old in 5 Posyandu of Pisangan Baru Matraman, East Jakarta. Study samples are children under tive years old with anemia which have been checked by early I-Ib rate before iron supplementation are given ad the last Hb rate alter iron supplementation during 12 weeks; Samples are 85 children under five years old. These samples divided two that are 67% (57 children under five years old) with Hb rate chaged or improved and 33% (28 children under five years old) do not improve Hb rate. Processing and data analysis used computer by SPSS program.
Main factors related to improved Hb rate among children under live years old by multivariate analysis are immunization status factor (POR = 3.33, 95% CI :1.15 - 9.66), family income factor (POR = 3.04, 95% CI : 1.12 - 8.23) and infection history factor among children under tive years old at Posyandu Pisangan baru that are immunization status of five years old (POR = 3.33, 95% CI : 1.15 - 9.66), mean children under five years old which this immunization status is complete and- it has and oppurtinity 3.33 times for its I-Ib rate improved compare than children under five years old which don?t related to improve I-Ib rate based on child characteristic are sex and nutrition status. Based on family characteristic, factors which don?t related to improved Hb rate are mother education and amount of children under tive years old in families.
Based on this study result, it is important gived early intervention to suggested to conduct health education for public or mother which have children under live years old especially for East Jakarta and generally for DKI Jakarta to carry of children under live years old to Posyandu, Primary health center, Hospital and also related health institution to get primary immunization service until completes based on govemment program for public health service of DKI Jakarta and related sector by follow-up fiom running program for overcoming poorness by giving more food and ASI, Program and giving health service for public who have askeskin.

"Tingkat literasi gizi menggambarkan derajat seseorang memiliki kapasitas untuk memperoleh, memproses, dan memahami informasi dasar. Literasi gizi terdiri dari 3 bentuk, yaitu fungsional, interaktif, dan kritikal. Tingkat literasi gizi yang rendah pada ibu balita dapat berdampak pada praktik pemberian makan yang keliru kepada anaknya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan pengukuran literasi gizi pada ibu balita, dan mengetahui perbedaan proporsi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Pentingnya dilakukan pengukuran literasi gizi pada ibu balita agar dapat diketahui tipe intervensi terkait gizi apa yang cocok dilakukan untuk sasaran di lokasi penelitian. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan desain cross-sectional. Penelitian dilakukan dengan cara door-to-door membagikan kuesioner ke rumah-rumah ibu balita yang dibantu oleh ibu kader. Jumlah responden yang didapatkan adalah 100 responden, yang tersebar di 3 kelurahan yang berbeda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat literasi gizi responden secara umum masih kurang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan literasi gizi kritikal bermakna berdasarkan tingkat pendapatan keluarga, dengan nilai p=0,004 dan nilai OR=3,42.

Nutritional literacy level describes the degree of capacity to acquire, process, and understand basic nutrition information. Nutrition literacy consists of 3 forms, namely functional, interactive, and critical. Low nutritional literacy rates in underfive mothers can have an impact on the erroneous feeding practices. This study aims to measure nutritional literacy in pre school children mothers, and to know the difference in the proportion of factors that influence it. The importance of measuring nutritional literacy in underfive mothers is to know what type of nutrition related intervention is appropriate for the target in the study sites. This research is done with quantitative approach and cross sectional design. The research was done by door to door distributing questionnaires to the homes of mother to mother assisted by mothers cadres. The number of respondents obtained is 100 respondents, spread over 3 different urban villages. The result of the research shows that the level of nutritional literacy of respondents in general is still less. The results showed that there was significant critical nutritional literacy difference based on family income level, with p value 0,004 and OR 3,42. "

"Tujuan : Untuk mengetahui status besi anak usia sekolah dan faktor yang berhubungan serta hubungan status besi dengan daya konsentrasi belajar.
Tempat : Sekolah Dasar Pekayon 18 dan Jasmin, Kecamatan Cibubur, Jakarta Timur.
Bahan dan cara : Penelitian desain cross sectional, pada 92 orang subyek yang dipilih secara purposive. Data yang dikumpulkan meliputi data umum subyek dan responden/ibu subyek, status gizi, asupan makan, serta pemeriksaan laboratorium darah dan tinja. Setelah status besi ditetapkan berdasarkan kadar hemoglobin dan feritin plasma, subyek dibagi secara acak sederhana (sub sampel) menjadi status besi normal dan defisiensi besi kemudian terhadap ke dua kelompok dilakukan pemeriksaan daya konsentrasi belajar. Uji statistik yang digunakan untuk mengetahui hubungan dua variabel adalah uji Kolmogorov-Smirnov dengan dua variabel dan uji eksak Fisher.
Hasil : Prevalensi anemia ditemukan sebesar 14,1% dan defisiensi besi 14,2%, sebanyak 1,1% di antaranya menderita anemia defisiensi besi. Dari penilaian food frequency amount didapatkan 85,9% subyek mempunyai asupan besi yang tergolong kurang dan 79,3% subyek asupan energinya termasuk kriteria kurang. Data pola makan menunjukkan 50% subyek termasuk dalam kriteria kurang. Penilaian terhadap status gizi mendapatkan 7,5% subyek mempunyai bentuk tubuh pendek dan 2,2% subyek tergolong kurus. Tidak didapatkan hubungan yang bermakna (p > 0,05) antara daya konsentrasi belajar dengan status besi pada subyek penelitian dan ditemukan pula hubungan yang tidak bermakna (p>0,05) antara sebagian besar variabel yang diteliti.
Simpulan: Pada penelitian ini didapatkan prevalensi anemia 14,1% dan defisiensi besi 14,2%, sejumlah 1,1% subyek di antaranya menderita anemia defisiensi besi. Tidak ditemukan hubungan bermakna (p > 0,05) antara status besi dengan daya konsentrasi belajar.

Iron Status of Children of Two Elementary Schools and Its Related Factors in Cibubur District, East Jakarta: Relationship between Iron Status and Capacity of Learning ConcentrationObjective: To know the iron status of school-age children and its related factors and the relationship between iron status and capacity of learning concentration.
Location: Pekayon 18 and Jasmin Elementary Schools, Cibubur District, East Jakarta.
Material and Method: A cross-sectional study has been carried out on 92 subjects? selected using purposive sampling method. Data collected consist of socio-economic status, nutritional status, dietary intake, and laboratory examinations for hemoglobin, plasma ferritin and stool egg count. Iron status was determined by hemoglobin concentration and plasma ferritin level. Subjects were divided into normal and iron deficiency based on these laboratory findings, and capacity of learning concentration was examined on both groups. Statistical analysis was performed by Kosmogorov-Smirnov and Fisher exact test for the relationship between variables.
Results: Anemia was found in 14.1% subjects, and 14.2% of subjects had iron deficiency in which 1.1% of them had iron deficiency anemia. Inadequate iron and energy intake was found in 85.9 and 79.3% of subjects respectively, and 50% of subjects had poor eating pattern. Nutritional status assessment showed that 7.6% of subjects had short stature (stunted) and 2.2% were wasted. There was no significant relationship (p>0.05) between iron status and the capacity of learning concentration and between most variables.
Conclusion: The prevalence of anemia in this study was 14.1%, and iron deficiency was found in 14.2% of subjects, in which 1.1% of them had iron deficiency anemia. There was no significant relationship (p>0.05) between iron status and the capacity of learning concentration.

"An intervention program on the impact of iron preparation with intensive nutrition education among pregnant women was undertaken in Kecamatan Curug, Kabupaten Tanggerang.
Twwo kinds of iron tablets, both containing 200 mg ferrous sulphate and 0,25 mg folic acid were distributed in four villages, namely village A: Kadu Jaya, village B: Kadu, village C: Curug Wetan and village D: Cukang Galih. The new iron tablet was prepared in a coated membrane form, with red coloring and was distributed in sachets containing 14 or 28 tablets. The existing (currently used) tablet was prepared in coated film form, with grey coloring and was loosely packaged. Intensive nutrition educaation was delivered to twwo villages, which were given the different iron tablet forms as described above.
A number of 162 pregnant women as subjects in four villages were divided into four different intervention groups, 41 of them in village A received new iron with intensive nutition education, 41 in village B received new iron, 40 in village C received existing iron with intensive nutrition education and 40 in village D received exixting iron alone was as the control group, for 12 weeks of intervention period, however only 127 of them could be monitored and evaluated.
Analysisi of nutrition knowledge, attitude and behavior of the subjects, recording of iron tablet consumption, dietary habits, nutrient intake and nutritional status was conducted in the four villages, for each of the four groups before and after intervention. In addition serum ferritin and hemoglobin concentration were determined to evaluate the change in the prevalence of anemia.
Distribution of new iron or existing iron tablets without intensive nutrition knowledge, attitude, behavior of the subjects towards anemia problem. he results show that subjects which received new iron could improve their dietary habits, calories and protein intakes, but not in iron and vitamin C intakes. Although, a significantly higher (p<0.0500) consumption of iron was observed in the group which received new iron, neither in the subsequent improvement in hemoglobin and serum ferritin values.
Intensive nutrition education was positively associated with the improvement of nutritional knowledge, attitude and behavior of the pregnant women as well as significant increase in iron tablet consumption (p<0.0500). Dietary habits were improved, as seen in the increase in calorie and protein intake and the resulting improvement in the nutritional status of the mothers.
The results indicated that the new iron supplementation with intensive nutrition education had a greater effect on invreasing the iron tablet consumption of pregnant women compared to those who only received existing iron supplementation without intensive nutrition education. Since the iron intake was not different in the two villages, their effect on hrmoglobin and serum ferritin concetration was not different.
Witihin the time period of observation, there was no different reduction in the prevalence of anemia between each village of the population studied."

"Anemia pada anak umur di bawah dua tahun (baduta) masih menjadi masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang besar sampai saat ini baik di tingkat global, nasional maupun lokal. Prevalensi anemia baduta di tiga kecamatan wilayah Kabupaten Aceh Besar tahun 2011 mencapai 46,64%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara asupan zat gizi dengan kejadian anemia. Desain penelitian adalah potong lintang, menggunakan data sekunder hasil survey anemia defisiensi zat besi yang dilakukan oleh Poltekkes Kemenkes Aceh, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 253 anak usia 6-23 bulan. Prevalence Ratio dihitung dengan 95% Confident Interval menggunakan analisis regresi logistik.
Hasil: risiko kejadian anemia adalah 1,22 kali (95% CI 0,59-2,09); 1,17 kali (95% CI 0,66-1,75); 1,56 kali (95% CI 1,07-2,28) dan 1,51 kali (95% CI 1,09-2,08) pada asupan zat zat besi, asam folat, vitamin C dan vitamin A yang kurang dibandingkan dengan yang cukup. Asupan protein yang kurang tidak menjadi risiko dalam kejadian anemia. Riwayat diare, ISPA dan status ASI muncul sebagai variabel perancu dan/atau interaksi.

Anemia among children under two is still a serious public health concern at global, national and local level. Anemia prevalence among children under two in 3 subdistricts in Aceh Besar District in 2011 was 46,64%. The study aims to reveal the relationship between nutrient intake with anemia. Study design is cross section, using secondary data from anemia iron deficiency survey conducted by Poltekkes Kemenkes Aceh, with total sample of 253 children 6-23 months.Prevalence Ratio was calculated with 95% Confident Interval using logistic regression.
Result: Anemia risk is 1,22 (95% CI 0.59-2.09); 1,17 (95% CI 0.66-1.75); 1,56 (95% CI 1,07-2.28) and 1,51 (95% CI 1.09-2.08) times higher in deficiency of iron, folic acid, vitamin C and vitamin A intake in comparison with the adequate ones. There is no risk of anemia from lack of protein intake. Diarrhea and ARI histories and breastfeeding status act as either confounders or effect modifier.
