"ABSTRAK
Tesis ini membahas analisa keberhasilan atau hasil dari strategi pada tingkatan
bisnis yang dilakukan oleh perusahaan korporasi media yang diambil setelah
disesuaikan dengan kondisi dimana perusahaan berada pada struktur pasar.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode
deskriptif dan menggunakan teknis analisis naratif. Hasil penelitian strategi paket
iklan bundling yang dirasa sebagai turunan strategi konvergensi media, dengan
menjual paket iklan lintas media dalam jangka pendek memang menguntungkan
namun dalam jangka panjang tidak menguntungkan karena akan merugikan salah
satu media. Strategi jangka panjang padahal dibutuhkan untuk bertahan dalam
kondisi pasar persaingan sempurna dan agar tetap menjadi “market leader”.
Sehingga dihasilkan rekomendasi bentuk strategi paket iklan bundling yang lebih
sesuai dengan strategi konvergensi.

ABSTRACT
This thesis discusses the analysis of the success or outcome of the strategy at the
level of business done by the company in the corporate media taken after
adjusting to the conditions in which the company is in the market structure. This
study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods and technical TODD
narrative analysis. The results advertising package bundling strategy is perceived
as an instance of media convergence strategy, to sell cross-media advertising
packages are beneficial in the short term but in the long run is not beneficial
because it would harm one of the media. Whereas long-term strategy is needed to
survive in conditions of perfect competition and in order to remain a "market
leader". So that the resulting recommendation form advertising package bundling
strategy is more in line with the strategy of convergence."

"Driven by the challenging business environment as to the commoditization of voice services, the rise of mobile broadband technology and the changes in the competition landscape telecom operators are at the urgent need to redefine their business model. This thesis discussed the business model transformation of telecom operator by taking a case of PT. XYZ. The study was a qualitative study. The result of the study showed the success of PT. XYZ in adopting new business model in the broadband era as a basis for the company?s long term growth. However the study also found that the revenue growth from the broadband was still insufficient to compensate the declining growth of voice revenue. The study further suggested PT. XYZ to engage in the innovation industry to secure its sustainability."

"Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengevaluasi penerapan konsep Execution Premium dalam strategi perusahan PT X khususnya Divisi Geoscience Services berdasarkan 6 langkah yaitu develop the strategy, plan the strategy, align the organization, plan operations, monitor and learn, test and adapt. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode studi kasus pada sebuah perusahaan yang menyediakan jasa hulu migas terintegrasi. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa langkah-langkah tersebut belum sepenuhnya dilakukan oleh perusahaan. Salah satunya adalah proses penyusunan anggaran yang dilakukan secara terpisah dari perancangan strategi obyektif dan KPI pada Divisi Geoscience Services.

The research’s objective is to evaluate the implementation of execution premium concept on corporate strategy at Geoscience Services in X Corporation which has six stages i.e., develop the strategy, plan the strategy, align the organization, plan operations, monitor and learn, test and adapt. This research uses study case method in a integrated upstream oil and gas services. The result shows that these six major stages are not fully executed by the Company. For example, the budgeting process is done separately from division’s strategic objective and KPI planning process."

"Monetary crisis blowing Indonesia in the middle of July 1997 has brought significant impact especially to business sector. The economic crisis for PT. Inti Teknodrilindo constituted a serious threat instead of positive impact. Therefore, the management conducted various strategies in order to survive by means of internal improvement and efficiency strategies. It allowed the company to keep exist until today. The author was encouraged to study about company strategies.
This study was conducted in descriptive manner, the author presented empirical data relating to strategies applied by PT. Inti Teknodrilindo; how to analyze company strategies (uncertainty) to enable the company escape from the crisis. In order to analyze strategies of PT. Inti Teknodrilindo, the author collected primary or secondary data. The primary data includes result of detailed interview with PT. Inti Teknodrilindo top management as well as board of directors and managers in analyzing the primary and secondary data, the author adopted macro analysis from Pearce and Robinson, five forces from Porter, namely five farces That influence industrial competitiveness. In order to ensure factual activities conducted by PT. Inti Teknodrilindo, the author also adopted value chain from Michael Porter, which analyzes a set of activities in detailed as well as company's activities to discover the most significant factor for strategies applied by the company. Strategy generic from Pearce and Robinson and Laurence R. Jauch. Turnaround strategy is a theory the author applied to come into conclusion that the strategy used by PT. Inti Teknodrilindo was an turnaround strategy by retrenchment strategy being indicated by cost and asset reduction through employee rationalization, fix asset sales and changing composition of the shareholders. Meanwhile, turnaround strategy was followed by concentric diversification strategy, namely to diversify service coverage in oil & gas exploration and exploitation project by means of establishing subsidiaries, cooperation with other parties in joining various oil & gas drilling tenders, acquisition of the company which is having line business with PT. Inti Teknodrilindo, to find focusing on service or product."

"Analisa strategi bersaing PT. Bakrie Telecom dalam bisnis SLI menggunakan teori manajemen strategi yang terdiri dari identifikasi faktor strategis internal dan eksternal yang kemudian dituangkan dalam Matriks Evaluasi Faktor Internal dan Matriks Evaluasi Faktor Eksternal yang digolongkan sebagai tahap pengumpulan data. Tahap selanjutnya tahap analisa (matching stage) dengan menggunakan Matriks Internal Ekternal, Matriks SWOT dan Matriks Grand Strategy. Tahap terakhir adalah pengambillan keputusan dengan Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) untuk menentukan strategi yang akan dipilih. Dari analisa dengan menggunakan Matriks Internal Ekternal diperoleh hasil bahwa posisi PT. Bakri Telecom berada dalam sel 11 dan dalam Matriks Grand Strategy berada pada kuadran I. Perusahaan yang berada dalam kedua matriks tersebut mempunyai posisi yang baik dalam persaingan. Strategi yang bisa diterapkan oleh perusahaan adalah strategi intensif atau strategi integratif. Pada tahap pengambilan keputusan dengan QSPM untuk menentukan apakah strategi intensif atau integratif yang akan dipilih, diperoleh hasil nilai untuk strategi intensif lebih besar daripada strategi integratif. Oleh karena itu dalam menggelar iayanan SLI, PT. Bakrie Telecom dapat menerapkan strategi intensif yang terdiri dari penetrasi pasar, pengembangan pasar dan pengembangan produk. Dalam menerapkan strategi intensif, PT. Bakrie Telecom perlu melakukan berbagai kajian dalam hal penetrasi pasar, pengembangan pasar dan pengembangan produk yang sejalan dengan visi dan misi perusahaan.

Strategic Management Theory is applied in the analysis of the competitive strategy of PT. Bakrie Telecom in IDD business, The theory consists of internal and external factors identification of the company as an input for Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE) Matrix and External Factor Evaluation (EFE) Matrix. The stage is called data gathering stage. The next stage is analysis stage which consists of internal External Matrix, SWOT Matrix and Grand Strategy Matrix. The final stage is decision making stage using Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) to decide which strategy should be appointed. In the analysis using Internal External Matrix, PT. Bakrie Telecom lies in the cell II of the matrix. While in Grand Strategy Matrix, PT. Bakrie telecom lies in Quadrant I of the matrix. The company lies in both position of the matrix has a good position in the competition. The strategies that can be applied by the company are intensive strategy or integrative strategy. In the decision making stage with QSPM, the score of the intensive strategy is bigger than the integrative strategy. Therefore, in deploying the IDD business, PT. Bakrie Telecom can apply intensive strategy that consist of market penetration, market development and product development. In implementing the intensive strategy, PT. Bakrie Telecom needs to conduct studies on market penetration, market development and product development along with the company's vision and mission."
