"PDI Perjuangan merupakan salah satu partai terbesar di Indonesia, setelah menjadi partai penguasa pada tahun 1999, PDI Perjuangan kembali menjadi partai penguasa pada tahun 2014 dengan mendapatkan suara terbesar. Telah dibuktikan, bahwa PDI Perjuangan juga berhasil mendapatkan dukungan dari pemilih muda dari hasil exit poll yang dilakukan. Angka pemilih muda pada setiap pemilu berkembang dengan pesat, ini membuat kelompok pemilih muda sangat penting untuk diraih oleh partai, tetapi tidaklah mudah untuk partai mendapatkan dukungan dari pemilih muda. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan bersifat deskriptif, dan mendalami unsur-unsur komunikasi politk (komunikator, pesan, medium, khalayak, dan efek).

Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle is one of the biggest political parties in Indonesia, they won the elections in 1999 and then continue to succeed and become the government party in 2014 with the majority vote. Not only gaining the majority vote, but they were also the number one choice of the young voters in the exit poll. The number of young voters is growing rapidly each year and this notes the importance of being their preference for the parties, though it is not easy to get their support. This study uses the qualitative - descriptive method, which focuses on the political communication variables (communicator, message, medium, audience, effect)."

"Sebagai partai nasional dengan ideologi hindu garis keras dan lemah pada wilayah di luar India Utara, diperlukan strategi khusus bagi partai Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) untuk meningkatkan eksistensinya pada negara bagian yang bukan basis tradisionalnya. Pada tahun 2019, untuk pertama kalinya BJP mampu meningkatkan perolehan suaranya secara signifikan di negara bagian Benggala Barat menjadi 18 kursi. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian ini membahas mengenai strategi yang digunakan oleh BJP pada Pemilu tahun 2019 di negara bagian Benggala Barat menggunakan model political marketing yang dikemukakan oleh Bruce I. Newman. Melalui tiga elemen kunci dari model tersebut, yaitu voter segmentation, candidate positioning dan strategy formulation and implementation, penelitian ini menjelaskan bagaimana strategi yang dilakukan oleh BJP dan timnya memiliki pengaruh penting pada perluasan basis kekuasannya. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa ketiga elemen ini sejalan dengan strategi yang digunakan BJP dalam meraih suara pemilih Hindu masyarakat Benggala Barat sehingga mempengaruhi hasil akhir pemilu. Penelitian ini berkesimpulan, bahwa dalam meraih kemenangannya BJP pertama-tama mencoba memahami wawasan para pemilihnya dan isu yang berkembang di wilayah Benggala Barat, di mana menghasilkan bahwa segmen masyarakat yang dominan dan sejalan dengan ideologi BJP adalah masyarakat Hindu Bengal yang sedang mengalami peningkatan masalah komunal. Selanjutnya BJP memposisikan dirinya dengan membentk citra sebagai pelindung umat hindu dan satu-satunya alternatif bagi masyarakat. Kemudian untuk semakin menempatkan BJP di benak pemilih, BJP membentuk platform kampanye yaitu menekankan pada isu identitas agama, dan menjangkau pemilih dengan jaringan akar rumputnya dan media sosialnya.

As a national party with a hardline and weak Hindu ideology in areas outside North India, a special strategy is needed for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to increase its existence in states that are not its traditional base. In 2019, for the first time the BJP was able to significantly increase its vote share in the state of West Bengal to 18 seats. Through a qualitative approach, this study discusses the strategy used by the BJP in the 2019 elections in the state of West Bengal using the political marketing model proposed by Bruce I. Newman. Through the three key elements of the model, namely voter segmentation, candidate positioning and strategy formulation and implementation, this study explains how the strategy undertaken by BJP and its team has an important influence on the expansion of its power base. The results of this study prove that these three elements are in line with the strategy used by the BJP in gaining the votes of the Hindu voters of the West Bengal community so that it affects the final election results. This study concludes that in achieving its victory the BJP first tried to understand the insights of its voters and the issues developing in the West Bengal region, which resulted in that the dominant segment of society and in line with the BJP's ideology was the Bengal Hindu community which was experiencing increasing communal problems. Furthermore, BJP positioned itself by forming an image as the protector of Hindus and the only alternative for the community. Then to further place the BJP in the minds of voters, the BJP formed a campaign platform that emphasizes on the issue of religious identity, and reaches out to voters with its grassroots network and social media."

"The emergence of the computer as an aid to education, with its unlimited range of instructional control options
available to designer and user supports the vast development of coursewares. Hundreds of coursewares, aim to increase
learners’ learning outcomes were developed. However, to have a courseware fits with learners’ characteristics many
issues need to be explored. Referring to Resnick’s (1989) definition of learning as knowledge construction, it is critical
for coursewares to support learners in the process of acquiring, retaining, and retrieving different kinds of knowledge
and performance. In acquiring, retaining, and retrieving information learners use procedures known as cognitive
strategies. It is assumed that cognitive strategies are integral to the process of learning, but initiation of their use may
come from the learner’s self-instruction, or, from an instructional unit or system. This study intends to show how
courseware design affects the use of cognitive strategies, especially from the high-school learners in Indonesia. A close
examination on the psychological processes in learning was made to address questions: (a) how does screen density
affect the use of cognitive strategies? (b) Does material presented in a linear format differs with material presented in
non-linear (hypertext-based) in producing learner’s learning outcomes? The results show that learners employed better
cognitive strategies when presented with 25% text density material compare to 60%. Hypertext-based courseware was
also found to have an effect on how learner processed the information."

"Represi merupakan salah satu strategi efektif yang dapat dimanfaatkan oleh suatu rezim untuk mempertahankan kekuasaannya. Namun, pemanfaatan represi sebagai strategi mempertahankan kekuasaan memiliki biaya (cost) yang tinggi khususnya terhadap legitimasi bagi rezim. Oleh karena itu, represi umumnya dijadikan sebagai sebuah strategi paling akhir yang dimanfaatkan oleh rezim. Penelitian ini berusaha menjelaskan mengapa suatu rezim akhirnya memilih untuk memanfaatkan represi sebagai strategi mempertahankan kekuasaan. Pemaparan terhadap hal tersebut akan dilakukan melalui kasus di Kamboja pada konteks pemilu tahun 2018. Pada konteks pemilu tahun 2018, rezim berkuasa Cambodia Peoples Party (CPP) memanfaatkan represi untuk memenangkan pemilu dalam rangka mempertahankan kekuasaannya. Hal tersebut terlihat ketika dalam menghadapi pemilu tahun 2018, rezim melakukan penutupan dan penjualan paksa media independen, membubarkan partai oposisi utama Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP), serta membatasi hak politik dan sipil masyarakat dengan mengamandemen Konstitusi Kamboja dan UU Hukum Pidana pada awal tahun 2018. Merujuk kepada teori represi yang dipaparkan oleh Joshua dan Edel, penelitian ini ditujukan untuk menjelaskan kondisi yang melatarbelakangi penggunaan represi oleh suatu rezim; karakteristik rezim, karakteristik negara, dan karakteristik tantangan.
Penelitian ini berkesimpulan bahwa represi merupakan strategi yang dibutuhkan dan efektif bagi rezim CPP. Represi dibutuhkan oleh rezim ketika strategi alternatif yang tersedia berdasarkan karakteristik rezim CPP tidak lagi berfungsi efektif. Sementara itu rezim juga dihadapkan pada tantangan keberadaan CNRP dalam arena pemilu. Memiliki kedekatan dengan angkatan bersenjata, rezim akhirnya memanfaatkan represi untuk memenangkan pemilu tahun 2018 dalam rangka mempertahankan kekuasaannya. Penggunaan represi tersebut juga didasari oleh kesatuan angkatan bersenjata atas dasar hubungan personal dengan pemimpin rezim, Hun Sen, serta kapasitas angkatan bersenjata yang luas menjadikan represi sebagai strategi efektif.

Repression is one of the most effective strategy that can be used by a regime to stay in power. Yet, using repression as a strategy to stay in power would be too costly especially for regimes legitimacy. Hence, repression mostly seen as the last option for a regime. This research aims to understand why regime choose repression as a strategy to stay in power, using the case of Cambodia in the context of 2018 general election. In the context of 2018 general election, the regime in power Cambodia Peoples Party (CPP) used repression to win 2018 Cambodia National Election. The use of repression could be seen when the regime: closed and sold independent media; dissolved the main opposition party, Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP); and restricted peoples political and civil right by amending Cambodia Constitution and Penal Code in early 2018. Using Joshua and Edels Theory of Repression, this research explains all the circumstances that lead to the use of repression by a regime: regime characteristics, state characteristics, and challenge characteristics.
This research concludes by arguing that repression is needed and effective for CPP to win 2018 Cambodia National Election in order to stay in power. Repression is needed especially when all of alternative strategies were no longer effective for CPP Regime. Regime also faced a challenge in the presence of CNRP in election arena. In addition, CPP Regime has a close ties with armed forces. Therefore, CPP regime used repression to win 2018 National Election. In addition to that circumstances, Cambodia armed forces has a cohesion determined by personal ties with Hun Sen and a large capacity to repress.

"Penelitian ini membahas mengenai strategi kampanye campuran yang digunakan oleh Jokowi-Ahok pada Pemilihan Gubernur DKI Jakarta 2012. Fokus penelitian ini yaitu menjelaskan bahwa kampanye yang dilakukan Jokowi-Ahok merupakan strategi kampanye campuran atau kampanye post-modern. Kampanye post-modern adalah campuran antara kampanye pra-modern dan kampanye modern. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data primer melalui wawancara mendalam dan dilengkapi dengan penelusuran data sekunder melalui buku, jurnal, artikel online dan sumber lainnya. Dari penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa dipilihnya strategi kampanye campuran pada pasangan Gubernur dan Wakil Gubernur Jokowi-Ahok ditentukan oleh keterampilan kandidat, keterampilan tim kampanye, penggambaran media dan lanskap politik.

This thesis discusses about campaign strategy which used by Jokowi-Ahok during the Jakarta?s Governor Election 2012. This thesis focused to explain that Jokowi-Ahok?s campaign strategy is mixed campaign strategy or post-modern campaign. Post-modern campaign is acombination between pra-modern and modern campaign. This research is a qualitative methods with primary data collected in-depth interview and secondary data collected books, journals, online articles and other sources as a data collection techinques. The result of this thesis is the mixed campaign strategy by Jokowi-Ahok as a Governor and vice Governor is determined by personal skill of candidates, skill of campaign team, the media?s image and political landscape.

"Skripsi ini menganalisis strategi kesantunan dalam tuturan politisi Indonesia menjelang Pemilihan Umum Legislatif Tahun 2014. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan strategi kesantunan para politisi terkait pola dalam tindakan komunikasi yang berlangsung. Data yang digunakan adalah tuturan politisi selama masa kampanye terbuka dalam Kompas. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa tuturan politisi mengancam citra negatif petutur. Ancaman dilakukan dengan menggunakan strategi ditutupi kesantunan positif. Keuntungan dari strategi tersebut adalah penutur dapat meningkatkan citra positif dirinya dan citra negatif petutur.

This thesis analyzed the strategies of politeness in Indonesian political speech before the General Election Legislative 2014 The purpose of this study is to describe the politicians politeness strategies related patterns in the act of communication that took place. The data used are the utterances of politicians during the campaign period opens in Kompas. The results show that the utterances of politicians threaten negative image addressees. Threats performed using positive politeness strategies covered. The advantage of such a strategy is the speaker himself can enhance the positive image and negative image of addressees.
