Abstrak :
The objective of this study is to investigate the effects of instructional strategies and thinking style on reasoning ability. The study was conducted at the State Institute for Islamic Studies (IAIN) Sultan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi, with of method 2x2 factorial design. This study find that (1) reasoning ability of the students who use metacognition strategy is higher that of those who use conventional strategy, (2) reasoning ability of the students with divergent thinking style who use metacognition strategy is higher than those who use conventional strategy, (3) reasoning ability of the students with convergent thinking style who use metacognition strategy is lower than that of those who use conventional strategy, and (4) there is an interaction between instructional strategies and thinking style that effects students' reasoning ability. The study concludes that instructional strategies of metacognition effects the reasoning ability in learning, particularly for students who have divergent thinking style.

Dalam proses pemilihan karier, penelitian sebelumnya menunjukkan bahwa efikasi-diri keputusan karier dapat diprediksi dari gaya berpikir. Namun, efikasi-diri keputusan karier dapat berbeda antara laki-laki dan perempuan. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini ingin melihat peran gender sebagai moderator pada hubungan gaya berpikir dengan efikasi-diri keputusan karier siswa SMA. Jumlah responden penelitian ini adalah 353 siswa SMA. Selanjutnya variabel diukur dengan menggunakan kuesioner penelitianya itu skala Career Decision Self-Efficacy-Short Form dan Thinking Style Inventory-Revised II yang sudah diadaptasi ke dalam bahasa Indonesia. Data dianalisis menggunakan program macro PROCESS dari Hayes yang terdapat dalam SPSS. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa gender hanya dapat memoderasi hubungan gaya berpikir tipe I dengan efikasi-diri keputusan karier pada siswa SMA (b3 -0,24, t-2,51, p 0,05); sedangkan gender tidak menjadi moderator pada hubungan gaya berpikir tipe II dengan efikasi-diri keputusan karier siswa SMA (b3 -0,12, t-1,28, p 0,5). In the career selection process of high school students, previous research has shown that career decision self-efficacy can be predicted from thinking styles. However, the self-efficacy of career decisions can differ between men and women. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to look at the role of gender as a moderator in the relationship of thinking styles with the self-efficacy of career decisions of high school students. The number of respondents in this study were 353 high school students. Furthermore the variables were measured using a research questionnaire namely the Career Decision Self-Efficacy-Short Form (CDSE-SF) scale and Thinking Style Inventory-Revised II (TSI-R2) which had been adapted into Indonesian. Data were analyzed using PROCESS macros program from Hayes that contained in SPSS. The results show that gender can only moderate the relationship of type I thinking styles with career decision self-efficacy in senior high school students (b3 -0,24, t-2,51, p 0,05); while gender doesnt become a moderator in the relationship of type II thinking styles with career decision self-efficacy of high school student (b3 -0,12, t -1,28, p 0,5). Limitation and suggestions for further research are discussed.

Efikasi diri keputusan karier sangat dibutuhkan oleh remaja dalam rangka membuat keputusan karier. Namun demikian, perubahan yang terjadi ditengah perkembangan informasi dan teknologi dapat membuat remaja yang memiliki kecenderungan thinking style tipe II kesulitan untuk beradaptasi dan fleksibel sehingga menyebabkan mereka ragu dalam pembuatan keputusan karier. Oleh sebab itu, remaja diharapkan dapat menggunakan planned happenstance skills untuk membantu mereka dalam proses eksplorasi diri dan kemudian dapat memiliki efikasi diri yang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh thinking style tipe II terhadap efikasi diri keputusan karier melalui mediasi planned happenstance skills pada remaja. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif yang melibatkan 720 orang partisipan dari tiga sekolah unggulan di Jakarta. Data penelitian didapatkan dengan menggunakan tiga  skala: Career Decision Self-Efficacy-Short Form (CDSE-SF), Thinking Style Inventory – Revised II (TSI-RII), dan Planned Happenstance Career Inventory (PHCI) yang telah diadaptasi oleh peneliti ke dalam bahasa Indonesia. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan macro PROCESS. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diketahui bahwa thinking style tipe II dapat berpengaruh secara langsung terhadap efikasi diri keputusan karier maupun tidak langsung melalui planned happenstance skills. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan jika siswa memiliki planned happenstance skills yang baik, maka keterampilan tersebut dapat membantu siswa yang cenderung memiliki thinking style tipe II untuk dapat memiliki efikasi diri yang baik.

 


Career decision self-efficacy is needed by teenagers in making career decision. However, the changes that happens in the midst of globalization can make teenagers who have type II thinking style face some difficulties in making career decision. Therefore, adolescents who have type II thinking style are expected to be able to use planned happenstance skills which can help them in the process of self exploration and help them to improve their career decision self-efficacy. This study aimed to examine the influence of type II thinking style on career decision self-efficacy through mediation of planned happenstance skills in adolescence. This is quantitative study by using of 720 students from three excellent schools in Jakarta. The data were collected by using three scales: Career Decision Self-Efficacy Scale-Short Form, Thinking Style Inventory – Revised II, and Planned Happenstance Career Inventory, that have been adapted to Indonesian version by the researcher. Researcher were used macro PROCESS to analyzed the data. The result showed that type II thinking style can affect career decision self- efficacy directly, also indirectly. Based on the result of this study, researcher concluded when adolescents have good planned happenstance skills, these skill can help adolescence who have type II thinking style have a good career decision self-efficacy.

Skripsi ini membahas analisis pengaruh leadership style (cara memimpin), thinking style (cara berpikir) dan preparing to lead (persiapan untuk memimpin) terhadap kompetensi karyawan PT X Jakarta. Data diperoleh dengan cara menyebarkan kuisioner kepada 255 karyawan PT X Jakarta. Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu non-probability sampling dengan metode purposive sampling. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode partial least square (PLS) dan metode partial least square (PLS) dengan variabel moderator. Dalam penelitian didapat hasil bahwa Leadership style mempengaruhi kompetensi karyawan PT X Jakarta dan preparing to lead juga mempengaruhi kompetensi karyawan PT X Jakarta. Preparing to lead mempengaruhi kekuatan leadership style dan kompetensi sebagai variabel moderator. ......This thesis discusses the analysis of the influence of leadership style, thinking style and preparing to lead on the competence of employees of PT X Jakarta. The data was obtained by distributing questionnaires to 255 employees of PT X Jakarta. The sampling method used in this study, namely non-probability sampling with purposive sampling method. The test was carried out using the partial least square (PLS) method and the partial least square (PLS) method with a moderator variable. Leadership style greatly influences the competency of PT X Jakarta's employees and preparing to lead also influences the competence of the employees of PT X Jakarta significantly. Preparing to lead influences leadership style and competence as a moderator variabel that influences the strength and relationship between leadership style and the competence of employees of PT X Jakarta
