Abstrak :
Penelitian ini mengukur hubungan antara planned happenstance dan career decision-making self-efficacy pada siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas. Penelitian ini juga mengukur peran kepribadian proaktif sebagai moderator pada hubungan antara planned happenstance dan career decision-making self-efficacy. Partisipan penelitian ini adalah 839 siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas. Variabel penelitian ini diukur menggunakan kuisioner penelitian dari Career Decision Self-Efficacy- Short Form CDSE-SF, Planned Happenstance Career Inventory PHCI dan Proactive Personality Scale PPS, yang kemudian diadaptasi sesuai dengan konteks Indonesia. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan regresi ganda dan PROCESS dari Hayes dengan menggunakan model moderator sederhana Model 1. Hasil penelitian menunjukan: a planned happenstance berhubungan secara positif dan signifikan dengan career decision-making self-efficacy dan b kepribadian proaktif tidak berperan sebagai moderator dalam hubungan planned happenstance dan career decision-making self-efficacy. ...... This study measures relationship between planned happenstance and career decision making self efficacy on high school students. This study also measures the role of proative personality as a moderator of relationship between planned happenstance and career decision making self efficacy. Data were collected from 839 high school students. Variables were measured using a research questionnaire in the form of Career Decision Self Efficacy Short Form CDSE ndash SF, Planned Happenstance Career Inventory PHCI, and Proactive Personality Scale PPS, which were adapted to the Indonesian context. The data were analyzed using multiple regression and Hayes rsquo PROCESS 2013 simple moderator model Model 1. The result showed a Planned happenstance is positively and significantly correlated with career decision making self efficacy and b proactive personality does not act as a moderator of the relationship between planned happenstance and career decision making self efficacy.

Abstrak :

Efikasi diri keputusan karier sangat dibutuhkan oleh remaja dalam rangka membuat keputusan karier. Namun demikian, perubahan yang terjadi ditengah perkembangan informasi dan teknologi dapat membuat remaja yang memiliki kecenderungan thinking style tipe II kesulitan untuk beradaptasi dan fleksibel sehingga menyebabkan mereka ragu dalam pembuatan keputusan karier. Oleh sebab itu, remaja diharapkan dapat menggunakan planned happenstance skills untuk membantu mereka dalam proses eksplorasi diri dan kemudian dapat memiliki efikasi diri yang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh thinking style tipe II terhadap efikasi diri keputusan karier melalui mediasi planned happenstance skills pada remaja. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif yang melibatkan 720 orang partisipan dari tiga sekolah unggulan di Jakarta. Data penelitian didapatkan dengan menggunakan tiga  skala: Career Decision Self-Efficacy-Short Form (CDSE-SF), Thinking Style Inventory – Revised II (TSI-RII), dan Planned Happenstance Career Inventory (PHCI) yang telah diadaptasi oleh peneliti ke dalam bahasa Indonesia. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan macro PROCESS. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diketahui bahwa thinking style tipe II dapat berpengaruh secara langsung terhadap efikasi diri keputusan karier maupun tidak langsung melalui planned happenstance skills. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan jika siswa memiliki planned happenstance skills yang baik, maka keterampilan tersebut dapat membantu siswa yang cenderung memiliki thinking style tipe II untuk dapat memiliki efikasi diri yang baik.

 


Career decision self-efficacy is needed by teenagers in making career decision. However, the changes that happens in the midst of globalization can make teenagers who have type II thinking style face some difficulties in making career decision. Therefore, adolescents who have type II thinking style are expected to be able to use planned happenstance skills which can help them in the process of self exploration and help them to improve their career decision self-efficacy. This study aimed to examine the influence of type II thinking style on career decision self-efficacy through mediation of planned happenstance skills in adolescence. This is quantitative study by using of 720 students from three excellent schools in Jakarta. The data were collected by using three scales: Career Decision Self-Efficacy Scale-Short Form, Thinking Style Inventory – Revised II, and Planned Happenstance Career Inventory, that have been adapted to Indonesian version by the researcher. Researcher were used macro PROCESS to analyzed the data. The result showed that type II thinking style can affect career decision self- efficacy directly, also indirectly. Based on the result of this study, researcher concluded when adolescents have good planned happenstance skills, these skill can help adolescence who have type II thinking style have a good career decision self-efficacy.
