"Pelayanan navigasi penerbangan merupakan salah satu faktor yang paling penting dalam dunia penerbangan, tetapi saat ini, pelayanan navigasi telah berkontribusi sebagai salah satu penyebab dari kecelakaan penerbangan, dimana dari 1 juta penerbangan, 1.08 kecelakaan disebabkan oleh kesalahan dari operator, dengan factor manusia merupakan penyebab tertinggi dengan angka sebesar 90 persen. Hal ini juga terjadi di Indonesia, dimana 92 persen dari seluruh pekerja ATC dilaporkan merasa lelah saat bekerja. Dengan kondisi ini, sebuah analisis berdasarkan pendekatan Ergonomi kognitif dan prinsip desain, telah ditemukan bahwa beberapa elemen yang terdapat didalam sistem interface dari Jakarta air traffic service center telah menghantarkan informasi secara tidak efisien, yang terindikasi dari bentuk dari signifiers yang masih diilustrasikan dalam bentuk teks dan menggunakan bar-graph sebagai salah satu dari interface utama. Wawancara mendalam dan observasi langsung telah dilakukan untuk melengkapi permasalahan berbasis teori yang ditemukan dalam analisis, yang memberikan hasil bahwa operator sendiri merasa bahwa system interface terkini tidak nyaman untuk digunakan. Sebuah desain rekomendasi lalu dibangun dengan menggunakan pendekatan semantika untuk membangun ikon visual, serta prinsip ergonomi kognitif, dengan beberapa variasi desain yang dibangun berdasarkan tingkatan detail yang juga berbanding lurus dengan karakteristik dari visual icons. Desain tersebut lalu diteruskan kepada target pengguna, untuk mendapatkan masukan lebih lanjut dan pengerucutan dari pilihan desain yang nantinya akan menjadi luaran bagi rekomendasi desain akhir."

"[ABSTRAK
Tesis ini membahas bentuk humor dalam bahasa Jepang. Penelitian ini merupakan
penelitian kualitatif yang membahas dan memaparkan humor dalam komik strip
bahasa Jepang. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menganalisis bentuk-bentuk
tuturan yang memicu terbentuknya humor pada komik strip, menganalisis makna
gambar dan relevansinya dalam membentuk humor pada komik strip dan
merumuskan bentuk humor dalam bahasa Jepang. Data penelitian ini adalah
komik strip Shin Kobochan karya Masashi Ueda jilid 28, 29 dan 30 yang
diterbitkan pada tahun 2014 oleh penerbit Houbunsha. Teori yang dipakai adalah
teori implikatur Grice untuk mengungkapkan makna tersirat tuturan, teori
ikonisitas Danesi dan Peron serta teori proses semiosis Perice untuk memaknai
gambar dan Teori Relevansi Sperber dan Wilson untuk melihat relevansi
antartuturan dan antara tuturan dengan gambar dalam membentuk humor. Hasil
penelitan menunjukkan bahwa tuturan-tuturan pembentuk humor dapat berupa
tuturan langsung dan tuturan tidak langsung. Tuturan-tuturan tersebut tidak hanya
menyampaikan makna tersurat, tetapi juga mengandung makna tersirat. Gambar
menampilkan penutur dan mitra tutur melakukan suatu aktifitas tertentu yang
diperlukan dalam proses penarikan kesimpulan sehingga makna pesan yang
dikomunikasikan dapat ditemukan. Pada akhirnya, humor pada komik strip
berbahasa Jepang dibentuk oleh adanya perbedaan topik pembicaraan, perbedaan
logika dan kontradiksi logika penutur dan mitra tutur.;

This thesis discusses the form of humor in Japanese. This study is a qualitative
research that discusses and explains humor in strip comic. The aims of this
research to analyze the forms of utterance that triggered the formation of humor in
strip comic, analyze the meaning of images and their relevance‟s in shaping the
humor in strip comic, and define a form of humor in Japanese. The data of this
study are taken from ?Shin Kobochan? strip comic by Masashi Ueda volume 28,
29 and 30, published in 2014 by Houbunsha. The theories employed in this study
are Grice‟s implicatures theory which aims to reveal the implicit meaning of the
utterances, Danesi and Peron‟s iconicity theory, Perice‟s theory of semiosis
process, which aim to interpret the images and Sperber and Wilson‟s relevance
theory, which aims to see the relevance between the speech and the images in the
form of humor utterances. The results show that the humor utterances can be in
the form of direct and indirect speech. Those utterances not only convey explicit
meaning, but also reveal some implicit meaning. Images showing the speaker and
hearer performing certain activity are required in the process of understanding the
whole humor, so that the communicated meaning and the message can be found.
At last, humor in Japanese strip comic is created by topic differences, logical

"CoolBlue adalah salah satu perusahaan e-commerce terbesar di Belanda. Sebagai perusahaan dengan banyak pesaing, Coolblue harus membuat perusahaannya lebih menarik bagi pelanggan dibandingkan perusahaan sejenis yang lain. Oleh karena itu Coolblue menjadikan iklan sebagai teknik marketing-nya. Karya ilmiah ini membahas mengenai ikon, indeks, dan simbol dalam tiga iklan Coolblue. Selain itu karya ilmiah ini juga memaparkan makna kontekstual dalam ketiga iklan Nederlandse Coolblue yang diunggah di Youtube. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif, dengan menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif. Teori semiotika milik Charles Sanders Peirce digunakan untuk mengkaji ikon, indeks dan simbol dalam iklan Coolblue. Selanjutnya dipaparkan makna kontekstual yang terkandung dalam video-video iklan itu. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa, indeks, ikon, simbol dan makna kontekstual dihadirkan pada ketiga iklan Coolblue untuk memperkenalkan perusahaan Coolblue kepada pelanggan, memberikan informasi produk yang dijual, dan informasi layanan Coolblue yang lain. Analisis makna kontekstual juga menemukan bahwa Coolblue menayangkan iklan dalam konteks humor sebagai identitas dan ciri khasnya untuk menarik pelanggan.

CoolBlue is one of the largest e-commerce companies in the Netherlands. As a company with many competitors, Coolblue must make its company more attractive to customers than other similar companies. Therefore Coolblue makes advertising as its marketing technique. This paper discusses the icons, indexes, and symbols in three Coolblue advertisements. In addition, this scientific work also describes the contextual meaning in the three Nederlandse Coolblue advertisements uploaded on Youtube. This research is a qualitative research, using descriptive research methods. Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic theory is used to study icons, indexes and symbols in Coolblue advertisements. Furthermore, the contextual meaning contained in the advertising videos is explained. The results of the analysis show that indexes, icons, symbols and contextual meanings are presented in the three Coolblue advertisements to introduce the Coolblue company to customers, provide information on products sold, and other Coolblue service information. The contextual meaning analysis also found that Coolblue served advertisements in the context of humor as its identity and characteristics to attract customers."

"Di tengah pandemi Covid-19, beberapa restoran fast food di Belanda melakukan berbagai macam promosi iklan untuk tetap menjaga eksistensi dan meningkatkan penjualan produk terkait dampak krisis korona. McDonald’s, Domino’s dan KFC mempromosikan restorannya di kanal Youtube mereka dengan konsep iklan yang berbeda-beda untuk menarik pelanggan. Penelitian ini mencoba memaparkan makna yang terdapat di dalam iklan tersebut melalui indeks, ikon, simbol yang muncul. Dalam penelitian ini, digunakan pendekatan kualitatif untuk menganalisis iklan tersebut dengan teori Charles Sanders Peirce. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa unsur indeks, ikon, dan simbol memiliki peran penting dalam membangun makna iklan untuk menekankan pesan positif dan membangun citra perusahaan yang baik. KFC membuat sebuah kampanye dalam iklannya dengan menekankan slogan United by The Bucket yang berarti KFC dapat menyatukan semua orang dari beragam latar belakang dan tidak membeda-bedakan kalangan apapun. McDonald’s menonjolkan kepeduliannya kepada konsumen dan karyawannya di masa pandemi, sementara Domino’s menekankan pesan protokol kesehatan dan dukungannya pada restoran lain.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, several fast-food restaurants in the Netherlands launched advertisements to maintain their existence and to increase sales which were affected by the corona crisis. McDonald's, Domino's and KFC promote their restaurants on their Youtube channels with different advertising concepts to attract customers. This research investigates the meaning of the advertisements through the index, icon, and symbol appeared. A qualitative approach was used to analyze the advertisements with Charles Sanders Peirce's theory. The results indicate that index, icon, symbol have an important role in building the meaning of advertising to emphasize positive message and build a good corporate image. KFC made a campaign in its advertisement by emphasizing its slogan United by The Bucket which means KFC can unite all people from various backgrounds and not discriminate against any group. McDonald's is concerned for their consumers and employees during the pandemic, and Domino's emphasizes the message about the health protocol being implemented and its support for other restaurants."
