"[Ada suatu kualitas pada asap yang sangat menarik terkait kemampuannya memanipulasi realitas pada ruang tempatnya hidup. Sebagai sebuah objek yang seringkali dikaitkan dengan pengalaman visual, perubahan yang dihasilkan oleh asap sesungguhnya dapat dilihat sebagai fenomena imersi yang terjadi secara natural. Maka dari itu dampaknya tak hanya berhenti pada mata tapi bahkan mampu mempengaruhi seluruh tubuh dalam mengalami ruang. Asap sebagai sebuah objek ephemeral yang eksistensinya lepas dari ruang, dapat pula menjadi salah satu bagian dari interioritas karena sifat yang dibawanya tersebut. Tugas akhir ini merupakan penelitian terhadap sistem kerja asap, terkait potensinya dalam menciptakan imersi melalui layer of opacity. Kemudian hasilnya diterapkan sebagai sebuah metode perancangan ruang secara utuh. Memperlakukan program, form dan realitas secara sinambung dengan basis riset dan eksperimen terhadap suatu objek ephemeral.
There is very interesting quality in fog related to its ability to manipulate reality in the space in which they/it exist. As an object that is often associated with visual experience, the fog transformation can actually be seen as an immersion phenomenon that occurs naturally. Thus the impact does not stop only as a visual experience, it can affect the entire body in experiencing the space. Fog as an ephemeral object whose existence is separated from space, can also be one part of interiority because of its immersion characteristic. This final project is a study of the working system of fog, related its potentials in creating immersion through a layer of opacity. Then the results are applied as a method of space design as a whole.
