Abstrak :
Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mendapatkan gambaran mengenai dinamika antara disclosure, reaksi sosial, dan posttraumatic growth pada mahasiswi penyintas kekerasan seksual. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan partisipan mahasiswi sebanyak 42 orang. Posttraumatic growth diukur menggunakan Posttraumatic Growth Inventory (PTGI; Tedeschi & Calhoun, 1996) dan reaksi sosial diukur menggunakan Social Reactions Questionnaire-Shortened (SRQ-S; Ullman et al., 2017). Disclosure diukur berdasarkan jumlah penerima disclosure yang dilakukan penyintas. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa disclosure tidak memiliki hubungan dengan posttraumatic growth. Masing-masing jenis reaksi sosial memiliki hubungan yang unik dengan posttraumatic growth, dimana reaksi sosial positif dan unsupportive acknowledgment memiliki hubungan positif yang signifikan dengan posttraumatic growth, dan reaksi sosial turning against tidak memiliki hubungan negatif dengan posttraumatic growth. Terakhir, penelitian menemukan bahwa reaksi sosial positif dapat memprediksi posttraumatic growth pada mahasiswi penyintas kekerasan seksual.

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between disclosure, social reactions, and posttraumatic growth among female college student survivors of sexual assault. This study uses quantitative approach, involving 42 female college students as participants. Posttraumatic growth was measured using Posttraumatic Growth Inventory (PTGI; Tedeschi & Calhoun, 1996) and social reactions was measured using Social Reactions Questionnaire-Shortened (SRQ-S; Ullman et al., 2017). Disclosure was measured based on the number of disclosure recipients. The result shows that there is no significant relationship between disclosure and posttraumatic growth. Each type of social reactions shows different relationship to posttraumatic growth, positive social reactions and unsupportive acknowledgment social reactions have significant positive relationships with posttraumatic growth, and turning against social reactions shows no significant relationship with posttraumatic growth. Finally, positive social reactions also predict posttraumatic growth among female college student survivors of sexual assault.

Penulisan ini berupaya untuk menjelaskan reaksi sosial informal masyarakat yang ditunjukan dalam media online visual YouTube ketika bereaksi terhadap kecelakaan lalu lintas yang dialami orang-orang dari dua status yang berbeda yaitu celebrity or high status person dan masyarakat biasa, serta untuk melihat dampak dari penegakan hukum dari reaksi masyarakat yang ditimbulkan terkait subjek pemberitaan di Youtube berdasarkan perbedaan dari reaksi terhadap status sosial orang yang terlibat dalam kecelakaan lalu lintas yang dimuat dalam media online visual. Penulisan ini juga berupaya untuk melihat komentar-komentar yang diberikan masyarakat sesuai dengan teori differential social power yang dikemukakan oleh W.J Chambliss dan pandangan subjektif masyarakat yang memiliki unsur blameworthiness dalam komentar mereka dalam menanggapi video berita kecelakaan lalu lintas yang di unggah kedalam YouTube.

ABSTRACT
This paper aims to explain the informal social reaction of society shown in the online visual media YouTube when reacting towards traffic accidents of celebrity or high status person versus normal citizens, and to analyze the impact on the law enforcement from the society s reactions aroused relating to the news coverage in YouTube based on differences in their reactions towards the social status of the subjects involved in the traffic accidents that is posted on the online visual media. This paper also aims to analyze the comments from the society in accordance to the differential social power theory by W.J Chambliss and the subjective point of view of society that contains blameworthiness factor in their comments on reacting to the news coverage video of the traffic accident uploaded to Youtube.
