......The need for technology nowadays is inevitable, leading to the increased growth of technology-based projects. But in fact, many technology-based projects facing problems when executing projects, especially about their quality. Quality Management System (QMS) is one quality process framework that has been used for monitoring and ensuring quality implementation on a process for creating and deliver a product. Nevertheless, the QMS implementation in the technology-based project faces a challenge of its effectiveness in improving quality. Such a challenge is due to the dynamic complexity that arises in the implementation. Uncovering such dynamics complexity can provide insights on strategy for improvement. In this regard, this study presents a conceptual model to understand the complexity of the QMS implementation in a technology-based company by using system dynamics modeling. Through Causal Loop Diagram (CLD) and system diagram, the conceptual model shows the key factors needed to improve the QMS process to be more effective, such as expert workforce and QMS adaptability.

......In the last two decades, the contribution and the growth of the manufacturing sector to GDP has decreased. This decline is suspected to be due to lower productivity in the manufacturing industry. According to the efficiency wage theory and production theory, wage is one of the factors that can affect labor productivity. In Indonesia, the minimum wage is the lowest wage. This is explained in Law No. 13 of 2003 on Manpower Article 90 paragraph (1) which states that employers are prohibited from paying wages lower than the minimum wage. Therefore, we suspect a spillover effect of the increase in minimum wages on labor wages. With the theoretical framework of efficiency wage theory, production theory and the spillover effect, this study aims to see and analyze the increase of minimum wages on labor productivity through the increase of labour wages in manufacturing industry. This study used a recursive model and the model is estimated using panel data of BPS large-medium industry survey from 2010 to 2015. The results show that the minimum wages is positively and significantly associated with wage and wages were positively and significantly associated with labor productivity.

Wang, Vivienne
Abstrak :
In this volume, Vivienne Wang and Elias G. Carayannis apply both theoretical approaches and empirical analysis to explore the dynamics of innovation in developing countries, with a particular emphasis on R&D in manufacturing firms. Their research addresses such questions as, do innovations advance the competitive positions of manufacturing firms in developing countries?
Does the pace of innovation matter, in particular, in socio-economic and socio-political contexts? To what degree can national innovation systems and policies influence development? To what extent do a firm’s innovation commitments correlate with the protection of intellectual property rights? What roles do foreign direct investment and relationships with clusters and networks play? The resulting analysis not only challenges traditional theoretical approaches to innovation, but provides suggestions for improving business practice and policymaking.
