Disertasi ini meneliti teks Al-Mawa>hib al-Mustarsalah ‘ala> at-Tuh}fah al-Mursalah. Ia merupakan komentar dari At-Tuh}fah al-Mursalah ila> Ru>h} an-Nabi> karya Muh}ammad b. Fad}lilla>h al-Burha>nfu>ri>. Empat pertanyaan penelitian yang diajukan: siapa pengarang teks Al-Mawa>hib al-Mustarsalah, bagaimana meneliti empat naskah yang diperoleh, apa isi teks, dan bagaimana kaitan isi teks dengan pemikiran tokoh sufi di dunia Islam dan di Nusantara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyajikan suntingan teks, terjemah, dan telaah syarh} wah}dat al-wuju>d yang terkandung di dalam teks. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian filologi dengan menggunakan beberapa metode dan pendekatan seperti kodikologi, teori resepsi, pendekatan tematik dan historis, serta teori-teori dalam dunia tasawuf. Penelitian ini berhasil menjelaskan siapa pengarang teks yaitu Ibra>hi>m b. Abi> Bakr asy-Sya>mi> al-Azhari> al-A asy-Sya>fi‘i>, atau singkatnya Ibra>hi>m al-A, juga berhasil menerangkan bagaimana menyajikan suntingan teks, mengungkap isi teks yang umumnya terkait dengan ajaran wah}dat al-wuju>d, serta menjelaskan kaitan isi teks dengan pemikiran sufi di dunia Islam seperti Ibnu ‘Arabi>, Ibnu al-Fa>rid}, Al-Ka>sya>ni>, Al-Burha>nfu>ri>, Al-Junaid dan Al-Qusyairi>, serta sufi di Nusantara yaitu Syams ad- Di>n as-Sumat}ra>’i>.

ABSTRAK
This dissertation researches the text of Al-Mawa>hib al-Mustarsalah ‘ala> at-Tuh}fah al-Mursalah. It was a commentary of a well-known treatise of Sufism namely At- Tuh}fah al-Mursalah ila> Ru>h} an-Nabi> written by Muh}ammad b. Fad}lilla>h al- Burha>nfu>ri>. Four research questions were proposed: who was the author of the text, how to research four available manuscripts, what are the contents of the text, and how is the relation of the text content to the Sufi’s thoughts in Islamic worlds and Nusantara at that time. The objectives of the research are to present text edition, translation and study of wah}dat al-wuju>d’s commentary. This is a philological research by using some methods and approaches such as codicology, reception theory, thematical and historical approaches, and theories in Sufism. This research successfully explains who is the author, namely Ibra>hi>m b. Abi> Bakr asy-Sya>mi> al- Azhari> al-A asy-Sya>fi‘i>, or in short, Ibra>hi>m al-A; how to present text edition; how to describe the contents of the text that generally deal with the teaching of wah}dat al-wuju>d or unity of Being, and how to explain the relation of the text to Sufi’s thoughts in Islamic worlds such as Ibnu ‘Arabi>, Ibnu al-Fa>rid}, Al-Ka>sya>ni>, Al-Burha>nfu>ri>, Al-Junaid and Al-Qusyairi>, and to Sufi’s thought in Nusantara namely Syams ad-Di>n as-Sumat}ra>’i>., This dissertation researches the text of Al-Mawa>hib al-Mustarsalah ‘ala> at-Tuh}fah al-Mursalah.
