Abstrak :
This title is the second Chandos learning and teaching series book that explores themes surrounding enhancing learning and teaching through student feedback. It expands on topics covered in the previous publication, and focuses on social science disciplines. The editors previously addressed this gap in their first book Student Feedback: The cornerstone to an effective quality assurance system in higher education. In recent years, student feedback has appeared in the forefront of higher education quality, in particular the issues of effectiveness and the use of student feedback to affect improvement in higher education teaching and learning, and also other areas of student tertiary experience. This is an edited book with contributions by experts in higher education quality and particularly student feedback in social science disciplines from a range of countries, such as Australia, Europe, Canada, the USA, the UK and India. This book is concerned with the practices of evaluation and higher education quality in social science disciplines, with particular focus on student feedback.

......Every human being has the right to improve the quality of his life, one of which is through education. However, adequate tertiary institutions are still concentrated on the islands of Java and Bali, so prospective students decide to migrate. Overseas students will be more required to be able to face new challenges related to academics and daily life far from their parents and peers from their place of origin. That way, overseas students need high resilience to adapt. In social work practice, a concept related to resilience, namely a strengths perspective, highlights a person's ability or strength to realize empowerment and improve the quality of life through the process of increasing interpersonal strength. There are two sources of protective influence factors for developing resilience, namely through self-concept as an internal resource and social support from peers as an external resource. Previous research shows that there are various differences in results from the many factors influencing resilience among student subjects in various conditions. Therefore, research was conducted to see whether or not there was an influence of self-concept and social support simultaneously on resilience in overseas students. By having a good understanding of self-concept and high social support from peers, overseas students will help them think positively when overcoming challenges in adapting while abroad. This research uses a quantitative approach and descriptive research type. The data collection technique uses stratified random sampling. The sample obtained was 214 active students from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of Indonesia class 2020-2023 who came from outside the Jabodetabek area. The results of univariate analysis showed that the majority of respondents had a moderate level of resilience of 73.4% (n = 157), had a moderate level of self-concept of 66.8% (n = 143) and felt a moderate level of peer social support of 71% (n = 152). From the results of the bivariate analysis, it is known that there is a significant influence of self-concept on the resilience of overseas students (B = 0.208, Wald = 42.098, p < 0.001). In the research results, the effect of peer social support on the resilience of overseas students was not significant (p = 0.41). The results of the multivariate analysis research showed that X2(4, N = 214) = 65.836, p < 0.001, which shows that the variables of self-concept and peer social support significantly provide better accuracy in predicting resilience. The effect of self-concept and peer social support together explains 34% of the variability in the level of resilience of FISIP UI overseas students.
