"The Development of an area which based on social organization have been being in various region in Indonesia. In this context, basically give awareness and opportunity for society which taking a part in development process. Organizational construction is aimed for ability by giving education to grow with strong motivation and enthusiasm to society in order to taking a part with actively in development. Others, is growing ability and independence to associate the aspiration of society in national development. The goal of this study is analyze the organization in area of study function optimally, can earn powered as media of development. Study conducted in area of Lembah Tamansari, Cipaganti village ( focus study of RW 02 and RW 04), Coblong Sub district, Bandung, with method of observation and interview to local elite figure and the organizational perpetrator of existing society. There are social organization in this area , that is LPM, PKK and Karang Taruna. After analyze data by using process of a group theory and the goal of social organization, to be obtained the picture of social organization effectiveness which contribute to environmental problems of settlements. The social organization in study area, don't have own ability to finish environmental problems of study area. Performance which is not optimal caused by limited amount organization human skills and quality."

"ABSTRAKProblematika pengelolaan program HIV/AIDS muncul ketika suatu organisasisosial keagamaan menjalankan program ini. Organisasi keagamaan dituntut untukmampu menjalankan program secara efektif. Namun demikian dalamimplementasinya akan berhadapan dengan ?body of knowledge? dari programHIV/AIDS. Oleh karenanya kemampuan organisasi untuk merespon programmenjadi sesuatu yang krusial. Organisasi keagamaan memiliki peran untuk tetapmemegang nilai keagamaan namun tidak bertentangan dengan strategi yangdimiliki oleh program HIV. Penelitian mengeksplorasi tiga isu dalam LembagaKesehatan Nahdlatul Ulama. Tiga hal tersebut adalah interaksi nilai dan norma,upaya membangun legitimasi organisasi, dan kemampuan organisasi melakukanmanajemen pengetahuan. Metode penelitian kualitatif digunakan untukmengeksplorasi ketiga topik permasalahan di atas. Hasil dari studi menunjukkanbahwa Lembaga Kesehatan Nahdlatul Ulama sebagai organisasi sosialkeagamaan mampu menjawab isu-isu sensitif di program HIV/AIDS untukmengurangi stigma dan diskriminasi, membangun legitimasi organisasi danmengelola manajemen pengetahuan secara efektif

ABSTRACTThe problems of managing HIV/AIDS programs arises when religious socialorganizations run the program. Religious organizations are required to run theprogram effectively. However, the implementation is not easy since they have tofaced the "body of knowledge" of HIV/AIDS programs. Therefore, the ability ofthe organization to undertake this program is crucial. Religious organizations havea role to still keep the significance of religious values, at the same time to avoidconflict with the strategies possessed in HIV programs. This study explores threeissues in the Health Organization of Nahdlatul Ulama, the interaction of valuesand norms, efforts to establish the organization legitimacy, and the ability toperform knowledge management. Qualitative research methods is used to explorethe three issues mentioned above. The study results showed that the HealthOrganization of Nahdlatul Ulama as a socio-religious organization is able toanswer sensitive issues in HIV/AIDS programs to reduce stigma anddiscrimination, building of organization legitimacy and conducting of knowledgemanagement effectively"

"This study aims to understand the efforts of the forming of cadre on ‘Aisyiyah as a religious social organization that can survive until now. In the preliminary study, researcher found that the source cadre forming’s problem is exist inside the organization. This finding was bsed on the preliminary interviews to 7 ‘Aisyiyah’s daily managers for each level of managerial leaders in Jogjakarta. Furthermore, using a qualitative approach (intrinsic case study), this study is trying to explore data by interviewing 3 participants who represents three age cohort of the organization’s committees. The result of this study is that there are 2 kinds of cadres in the body of ‘Aisyiyah, namely natural and Instant cadre, and both of them have some particular psycho-demographic characteristics. Thus, this research will add our understanding in identifying problems about forming of cadres in the organization."
