"Di penelitian ini, penulis beragumen bahwa Jake, karakter utama dalam 10 Years (2012) telah berada dalam fase penyangkalan (denial) sepanjang film. Penelitian ini berfokus pada tipe denial, penyebab denial, dan bagaimana Jake menghadapi denialnya. Teori denial Anna Freud akan menjadi teori pendukung penelitian ini.Menganalisa dialog dan adegan, hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa karakter, Jake, sangat berbeda dengan apa yang mungkin penonton pikirkan pada awalnya karena ulasan-ulasan film di New York Times, LA Times dan Hollywood Reporter menggambarkan Jake sebagai kekasih penuh cinta yang menjadi pusat perhatian di pesta. Penemuan penelitian menegaskan bahwa dengan menggunakan teori denial Anna Freud, karakter, Jake, telah berada dalam fase denial.

In this research, the writer argues that Jake, the main character in 10 Years (2012), has been in denial throughout the movie. The research focuses on the types of the denial, the cause of the denial, and how Jake dealt with his denial. Anna Freud's denial theory will be the framework of this research.By analyzing the dialogues and scenes, the research findings reveal that the character, Jake, is completely different with what viewers might have in mind initially as movie reviews in New York Times, LA Times and Hollywood Reporter described Jake as a loving boyfriend who got most of the attention at the party. The findings confirm that the character, Jake, has been in denial using Anna Freud's denial theory"

Gabrielle Roy, seorang penulis berdarah Quebec,mewujudkan hal tersebut dalam salah satu cerita pendek autobiografinya yang berjudulL?Italienne. Artikel ini membahas tentang interaksi yang terjadi dalam masyarakat yangberbeda budaya dengan menggunakan konsep interaksi sosial, identitas sosial, identitasbudaya dan stereotip yang berlandaskan teori struktur naratif dari Roland Barthes dan sekuendari Schmitt dan Viala. "ABSTRAKArtikel ini membahas tentang pembentukan perilaku negatif tokoh utama yang tedapat dalam salah satu karya sastrawan Rusia yaitu Mixail Lermontov. Topik penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi ketertarikan penulis terhadap pembentukan perilaku negatif yang merupakan penggambaran identitas tokoh pada karya sastra khususnya dalam novel dan kurangnya penelitian mengenai perilaku negatif tokoh dalam karya sastra. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses pembentukan perilaku negatif tokoh Gregorij Pecorin dalam kehidupannya dari lahir sampai beranjak dewasa dan hubungannya dengan kondisi lingkungan dalam novel karya Mixail Lermontov. Penulisan Jurnal ini menggunakan metode ex post facto dengan berfokus pada pendekatan intrinsik. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah novel Герой Нашего Времени (Geroj Nasego Vremeni) Pahlawan Masa Kini karya Mixail Lermontov. Penulisan artikel ini dilandasi ajaran psikologi sastra karena psikologi merupakan studi mengenai perilaku manusia. Teori psikologi yang difokuskan adalah teori behavioristik dari Burrhus Federic Skinner. Hasil analisis penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa perilaku negatif tokoh Pecorin merupakan respon terhadap kondisi lingkungan. Perjalanan hidup Pecorin mulai dari bayi hingga dewasa yang digambarkan dalam novel merefleksikan lingkungan sebagai faktor pembentuk perilaku.

ABSTRACTThis article discusses the building of behaviors of the main characters in one of the Russian literary works, Mixail Lermontov. The topic of this research is based on the author s interest in the building of negative behaviors, which is a depiction of the identity of characters in literature, especially in novels and lack of research on the negative behavior of characters in literary works. The purpose of this study was to find out how the building of negative behaviors of Gregorij Pechorin character in hislife from he was born to adulthood and their relationship with environmental conditions in a novel by Mixail Lermontov. Writing This journal uses ex post facto analytical methods by focusing on intrinsic approaches. The data sources used in this study were novel Герой Нашего Времени (Geroj Nasego Vremeni) Pahlawan Masa Kini by Mixail Lermontov. The writing of this article is based on the teaching of literary psychology because psychology is a study of human behavior. The focusedpsychological theory is the behavioristic theory of Burrhus Federic Skinner. The results of this research show that the development of Pecorin s character s behaviors become negative is a response to environmental conditions. Pecorin s life journey from babies to adults described in the novel reflects the environment as a forming factor in his behavior."

"Penelitian ini membahas mengenai penggunaan simbol-simbol dengan citra Islam oleh grup musik asal Korea Selatan NCT U (Neo Culture Technology United) pada akhir tahun 2020. NCT U terlihat menggunakan simbol-simbol dengan citra Islam seperti masjid dan sajadah dalam rangka mempromosikan lagu mereka: “Make A Wish (Birthday Song)”. Tagar #SMStopDisrespectingIslam kemudian beredar dan masuk ke dalam daftar trending dunia di Twitter sebagai respon dari para penggemar. Teori semiotika Roland Barthes digunakan untuk menganalisis makna denotasi, makna konotasi, serta mitos dari penggunaan simbol-simbol ini. Hasil penelitian menemukan tiga simbol yang mengandung citra Islam yakni simbol kubah, simbol aksara bahasa Arab dan simbol sajadah. Ketiga simbol tidak memiliki makna denotasi yang sakral namun memiliki makna konotasi (yang kemudian beredar di masyarakat dan menjadi mitos) yang lekat dengan sosok ‘Islam’ beserta umatnya. Peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa NCT U menggunakan simbol-simbol tersebut dengan tujuan estetika atau dekorasi belaka. Bagi NCT U, ketiga simbol tersebut mengandung citra Timur Tengah dan bukan citra Islam, sehingga pemakaiannya dalam lagu “Make A Wish (Birthday Song)” (yang terinspirasi dari kisah ‘Aladdin’) tidaklah menjadi masalah. Peneliti juga menyimpulkan bahwa grup NCT U melakukan apropriasi akan simbol-simbol dengan citra Islam dalam rangka mempromosikan lagu “Make A Wish (Birthday Song)” berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini.

This research focuses on the use of Islamic imagery by NCT U (Neo Culture Technology United), a South Korean music group. In late 2020, they were seen using islamic imagery such as mosques and prayer mats in their single “Make A Wish (Birthday Song)” promotional activities. As a response, the global K-Pop community on Twitter trended the hashtag #SMStopDisrespectingIslam worldwide. Roland Barthes’ theory on semiotics was used to analyze the denotation, connotation, and myth of the symbols in question. Three symbols that contained Islamic imagery was found: the dome, the Arabic script, and the sajadah. These symbols does not hold religious denotations in Islam, although they do hold special connotations (which then spread and become myths) to Muslims. The researcher concluded that NCT U used the symbols for aesthetic or decorative purposes. To the group, the symbols didn’t contained Islamic imagery but instead contained Middle Eastern imagery; so their use in the song’s promotional activities wasn’t inappropriate, seeing that the single’s main theme and concept was inspired by the tale of ‘Aladdin’. The researcher further concluded NCT U was found appropriating islamic imagery for “Make A Wish (Birthday Song)” promotional activities based on the result of this research."

"Genre karya sastra yang berkembang di Prancis pada paruh akhir abad XX memiliki karakteristik yang khas dalam pemilihan tema, sejalan dengan berkembangnya pemikiran post-strukturalis. Salah satu puisi era tersebut adalah Où es-tu ? yang dimuat dalam antologi Quelque chose noir (1986) karya Jacques Roubaud. Puisi ini menggambarkan duka melalui diksi yang berkaitan dengan kegelapan. Penelitian ini akan membahas bagaimana duka diperlihatkan dalam puisi dengan menganalisis aspek struktural dan tematis untuk mengkaji citraan duka dan dilihat keterkaitannya dengan era poststrukturalis. Penelitian ini akan menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan tekstual, serta teori analisis struktural puisi oleh Schmitt & Viala dan mengasosiasikannya dengan aspek tematis menggunakan teori hubungan berkelanjutan oleh Klass, Silverman & Nickman yang akan dilanjutkan dengan konsep dekonstruksi Derrida. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa duka digambarkan dengan ketidakstabilan emosi, ketidakutuhan, dan ketidakhadiran. Tiga hal tersebut merupakan upaya Roubaud untuk mengintegrasikan duka ke dalam kehidupannya. Aspek tematis puisi ini memperlihatkan perubahan pola hubungan dengan pasangannya dan penjelajahan duka dengan menulis puisi. Puisi ini menjadi salah satu puisi post-strukturalis karena keterkaitannya dengan karakteristik era tersebut. Ciri-ciri post-strukturalisme dalam puisi ini meliputi keterbukaan terhadap eksplorasi eksperimental terhadap duka melalui struktur dan tema.

A genre of literary works that developed in France in the latter half of the 20th century had distinctive characteristics in the choice of themes, in line with the development of post-structuralist thought. One of the poems of this era is Où es-tu ? published in the anthology Quelque chose noir (1986) by Jacques Roubaud. This poem depicts grief through diction related to darkness. This research will discuss how grief is shown in the poem by analyzing the structural and thematic aspects to examine the image of mourning and its relationship with the post-structuralist era. This research will be studied by using a qualitative method with a textual approach, as well as the theory of structural analysis of poetry by Schmitt & Viala, and associate it with thematic aspects using the continuing bonds theory of Klass, Silverman & Nickman which will be continued with Derrida’s concept of deconstruction. The analysis shows that grief is depicted by emotional instability, incompleteness, and absence. These three things are Roubaud's efforts to integrate grief into his life. The thematic aspect of this poem shows the changing pattern of his relationship with his partner and the exploration of grief by writing poetry. This poem is one of the post-structuralist poems because of its association with the characteristics of the era. The characteristics of post-structuralism in this poem include openness to experimental exploration of grief through structure and theme."
