Fokus penelitian ini adalah manajemen dokumen orang hilang sebagai respons bencana. Tujuan dari tulisan ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi makna manajemen dokumen dalam menanggapi bencana dalam kasus orang hilang di Timor Leste. Hasil analisis menghasilkan tiga perhatian seperti 1) dokumen tentang orang hilang, 2) manajemen dokumen tentang pencarian orang hilang yang sedang berlangsung, 3) makna dokumen orang hilang dan manajemen dokumen yang dicakup dari penanggulangan bencana sebagai kegiatan pada tahap respons. Analisis dilakukan dengan menghubungkan konsep manajemen dokumen, orang hilang, manajemen bencana. Untuk mendapatkan makna dari masalah ini, penulis melakukan studi kasus kualitatif pada Komite Palang Merah Internasional (ICRC) yang sering terlibat dalam manajemen bencana terkait dengan konflik bersenjata. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pengamatan langsung terhadap kantor ICRC di Jakarta dan Dili melalui wawancara dengan menggunakan informan yang terdiri dari staf sebagai pengelola dokumen yang terlibat dan keluarga orang hilang yang telah dibantu oleh organisasi. Temuan mengidentifikasi pentingnya dokumen sebagai media yang mengembalikan kehidupan orang hilang setelah konflik Timor-Leste berakhir. ICRC bertindak sebagai pusat dokumentasi yang menyediakan sumber informasi yang terkait dengan orang hilang untuk memfasilitasi kegiatan pencarian. Sejalan dengan manajemen dokumen, fungsi kontrol muncul karena upaya dalam melindungi dan menghidupkan kembali masalah, orang, kegiatan, dan peristiwa. Pengelolaan dokumen melalui sejumlah proses mulai dari penciptaan, penggunaan, deskripsi, indeks, klasifikasi, penyimpanan, akses dan temu kembali, hingga pengawasan. Pengelolaan dilakukan terhadap dokumen karena terkandung isi yang sensitif, konfidensial, pembuktian, orisinalitas, dan hiraerki. Temuan ini juga menunjukkan bahwa perhatian utama organisasi adalah untuk mengelola dokumen untuk mencapai tujuannya seperti yang ditunjukkan oleh ICRC sebagai organisasi kemanusiaan dalam menanggapi pencarian orang hilang sebagai akibat dari konflik. Singkatnya, penelitian ini mengusulkan wawasan baru ke dalam studi dokumen melalui paparan proses manajemen dokumen orang hilang yang akan mendukung bentuk tahap respons terhadap bencana yang terjadi di Timor-Leste.

The focus of this study is missing persons document management as disaster response. The purpose of this paper is to identify the meaning of document management in response to disasters in the case of missing people of Timor-Leste. The outcomes of analysis yielded three concerns such as 1) documents about missing persons, 2) document management about searching missing persons in progress, 3) the meaning of documents of missing persons and document management that covered from disaster management as an activity on the response stage. The analysis was carried out by linking the concept of document management, missing persons, disaster management. To get the meaning of the issue, the author conducted a qualitative case study on the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) which is often involved in disaster management related to armed conflict. Data collection techniques were carried out by direct observation of the ICRC offices in Jakarta and Dili through interviews using informants consisting of staff as managers of the documents involved and the families of missing people who had been assisted by the organization. The findings identified the importance of the document as a media that gave back the lives of missing persons after the Timor-Leste conflict ended. The ICRC acts as a documentation center that provides information resources related to missing people to facilitate search activities. In line with document management, the control function arises because of an interest in protecting and reviving problem, people, activities, and events. The assessments on the proposed processes of missing persons’ document management are ranging from creation, description and use, storage and maintenance, index and classification, storage, access and retrieval, to supervision. Management is carried out on documents due to its originality, confidentiality, evidence, hierarchy, and sensitivity contents. The findings also suggest that the primary concern of the organization is to manage documents to achieve its objectives as indicated by the ICRC as a humanitarian organization in response to the search for missing persons as a result of the conflict. To sum up, this study proposes a new insight into the study of documents through exposure to the missing persons’ document management process that will support a form of response stage to the disaster that occurred in Timor-Leste.

"Penggunaan internet bermasalah dapat dipengaruhi oleh kepribadian individu. Fenomena fear of missing out yang baru muncul beberapa tahun terakhir diduga dapat menjadi mediator antara kepribadian dengan penggunaan internet bermasalah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat pengaruh fear of missing out (FOMO) yang berperan sebagai mediator antara kepribadian dan penggunaan internet bermasalah. Sebanyak 182 partisipan telah mengisi secara lengkap skala kepribadian, FOMO, dan penggunaan internet bermasalah. Hasil yang didapatkan dalam penelitian ini yaitu terdapat mediasi parsial antara trait neurotis dengan penggunaan internet bermasalah yang dimediasi oleh FOMO. Kemudian, terdapat mediasi yang sempurna antara trait conscientiousness dengan penggunaan internet bermasalah yang dimediasi oleh FOMO.

Problematic internet use can be influenced by individual personality. Recently, there has been a phenomena that we called fear of missing out (FOMO). The internet user who tend to be FOMO may lead to problematic internet use (Przybylski, Murayama, DeHaan, & Gladwell, 2013). The phenomena of fear of missing out (FOMO) was presumed to be a mediator between personality and problematic internet use. The purpose of this study was to examine the  influence of fear of missing out as a mediator between personality and problematic internet use. One hundred eighty two emerging adulthoods participated in the study by completing personality scale, FOMO scale, and problematic internet use scale. As a result, the effects of neuroticism on problematic internet use scale can be parsial mediated through FOMO. The second result, the effects of conscientiousness on problematic internet use scale can be mediated through FOMO."

"Di dalam menjalankan hubungan kerja antara pekerja dengan pengusaha terkadang muncul persoalan kompleks yang perlu mendapatkan penyelesaian secara hukum, salah satunya yaitu mengenai terjadinya peristiwa dimana pekerja dikategorikan sebagai orang hilang. Peristiwa tersebut dapat terjadi baik pada saat pekerja tersebut sedang melakukan pekerjaan atau terjadi pada saat pekerja tidak melakukan pekerjaan (diluar watu kerja). Bahwa pengusaha maupun keluarga pekerja membutuhkan kepastian mengenai status hubungan kerja dari Pekerja yang dikategorikan sebagai orang hilang, namun disisi lain ketentuan ketenagakerjaan yang ada (kaedah heteronom) tidak mengatur mengenai status hubungan kerja terhadap Pekerja yang dikategorikan sebagai orang hilang. Oleh karena itu, guna mencegah munculnya perselisihan, Pengusaha dan Pekerja perlu mengatur mengenai Pemutusan Hubungan Kerja karena pekerja dikategorikan sebagai orang hilang di dalam kaedah otonom yaitu Perjanjan Kerja, Peraturan Perusahaan, atau Perjanjian Kerja Bersama. Bahwa tujuan utama dari penulisan ini adalah memberikan usulan solusi terhadap salah satu permasalahan dalam praktek hubungan industrial yaitu tentang status hukum dari pekerja yang dikategorikan sebagai orang hilang. Adapun metode penulisan yang digunakan adalah metode doktrinal/yuridis normatif. Bahwa di dalam konteks pekerja hilang, dibutuhkan kepastian hukum mengenai berakhirnya hubungan kerja antara perusahaan dengan pekerja, jenis pemutusan hubungan kerja, serta besaran kompensasi pemutusan hubungan kerja yang akan diberikan pengusaha kepada pekerja atau keluarganya. Ketiga hal tersebut dapat diatur di dalam  Perjanjian Kerja, Peraturan Perusahaan atau Perjanjian Kerja Bersama.

In carrying out the working relationship between workers and employers sometimes complex problems arise that need to be resolved legally, one of which is regarding the occurrence of events where workers are categorized as missing persons. These events can occur either when the worker is doing work or when the worker is not doing work (outside of working hours). Whereas employers and workers' families need certainty regarding the employment relationship status of Workers who are categorized as missing persons, but on the other hand the existing employment provisions (heteronomous method) do not regulate the employment relationship status of Workers who are categorized as missing persons. Therefore, in order to prevent the emergence of disputes, Employers and Workers need to regulate Termination of Employment because workers are categorized as missing persons in an autonomous method, namely Employment Agreements, Company Regulations, or Collective Labor Agreements. That the main purpose of this paper is to provide a proposed solution to one of the problems in the practice of industrial relations, namely the legal status of workers who are categorized as missing persons. The writing method used is a normative doctrinal/juridical method. Whereas in the context of missing workers, legal certainty is needed regarding the termination of the employment relationship between the company and the worker, the type of termination of employment, as well as the amount of compensation for termination of employment that will be given by the employer to the worker or his family. These three things can be regulated in the Employment Agreement, Company Regulations or Collective Labor Agreement."

"Pengaturan ketidakhadiran berdasarkan Pasal 467 KUHPerdata ditujukan kepada setiap subjek hukum yang meninggalkan tempat kediamannya. Kecelakaan pesawat udara dan kapal laut banyak menimbulkan permasalahan mengenai korban hilang atau tidak ditemukan. Dalam hal ini, keadaan tersebut tidak memengaruhi status korban sebagai subjek hukum, yang sehingganya dapat menyebabkan ketidakpastian hukum. Manusia sebagai subjek hukum hanya akan melepaskan status sebagai subjek hukum apabila meninggal dunia. Maka, keberadaan seseorang dalam keadaan tidak hadir tidak melepaskan statusnya sebagai subjek hukum. Sehingga, untuk keadaan yang demikian dibutuhkan penetapan kematian. Penelitian ini akan melihat keberlakuan ketentuan orang hilang dalam Pasal 467 KUHPerdata dalam kaitannya dengan kecelakaan pesawat udara dan kapal laut yang menyebabkan seseorang dalam keadaan tidak hadir. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kepustakaan dengan menggunakan data sekunder yang bersifat hukum sebagai sumber datanya. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, dengan memperhatikan beberapa penetapan pengadilan, penulis mendapati bahwa pendapat Hakim mengenai keberlakuan ketentuan Pasal 467 KUHPerdata dalam memberikan penetapan atas permohonan orang hilang yang disebabkan oleh kecelakaan pesawat udara dan kapal laut masih beragam. The regulation of absence (afwezigheid) on article 467 of The Indonesian Civil Code recognize any person that leaves their domicile. In many cases, Airplane crashes and Ship accidents left many problems regarding missing and disappeared victims. These particular circumstances do not appear to affect the victim’s status as a legal subject, in which situations, would evoke legal uncertainty. A person should retain the status of a legal subject until the day of their demise, and therefore a court decision regarding legal presumption of demise is needed in cases of missing and disappeared victims. This research aims to concise the implementation of article 467 of the Indonesian civil code concerning absence, in cases of missing person as a result of airplane crashes and ship accidents. The research method used in this research is of library research which uses secondary sources of data. After a look through few court orders, as a conclusion to this research, it is found that judges view on this matter still varies."
