Abstrak :
The emerging field of corporate law, corporate governance and sustainability is one of the most dynamic and significant areas of law and policy in light of the convergence of environmental, social and economic crises that we face as a global society. Understanding the impact of the corporation on society and realizing its potential for contributing to sustainability is vital for the future of humanity. This Handbook comprehensively assesses the state-of-the-art in this field through in-depth discussion of sustainability-related problems, numerous case studies on regulatory responses implemented by jurisdictions around the world, and analyses of predominant strategies and potential drivers of change. Abstrak :
Kementerian pekerjaan umum merupakan salah satu instansi pemerintah yang memiliki orientasi pelayanan publik, dengan ujung tombak di bidang pembangunan infrastuktur seperti jalan, sumber daya air, drainase, sanitasi, dan tata ruang. eksistensi kementerian PU sangatlah vital terhadap kepentingan masyarakat. kurangnya kinerja pembangunan infrastrktur baik dari segi efektivitas dan efisiensi akan merugikan masyarakat dan menghambat pertumbuhan ekonomi (kesejahteraan). oleh karena itu kualitas kinerja pelayanan publik di bidang harus dilakukaan berdasarkan suatu acuan standar. inspektorat jenderal sebagai unit eselon I yang merepresentasikan aparat pengawas intern pemerintah, memiliki tanggung jawab dalam mengawal kualitas pelayanan publik yang dilakukan kementerian PU agar sesuai dengan acuan yang telah ditetapkan, atau yang sering dikenal dengan istilah good governance.

Abstrak :
Bangsa Indonesia yang masih dilanda krisis multi dimensi perlu memperbaharui tatanan kehidupannya dengan melaksanakan nilai-nilai good governance agar penyelenggaraan pemerintahan dan pembangunan dapat berjalan dengan baik. Seluruh komponen bangsa (pemerintah, swasta, masyarakat) diharapkan menghentikan pertikaian dan eforia demi perbaikan dan penyempurnaan tata kehidupan yang lebih mapan, dengan kata lain reformasi harus menyentuh segala aspek kehidupan. Depdiknas sebagai pengelola anggaran besar di Republik Indonesia ini perlu memperbaiki pelayanannya kepada masyarakat dan mecegah terjadinya kebocoran anggaran, serta memperbaiki kinerjanya dengan bekerja keras dan penuh disiplin.

Abstrak :
Good governance is efforts to manage economic and social resources transparently, accountably, and anticipatively involving the state, industry, and society sectors. Implementation of the principles of transparency and accountability will support each element of good government to manage nation well. By doing so, each decision state administrative court can be accountable for the public and the law. Te government (central and provincial level) should encourage industries and communities in every policy and effort to advance the societies. The implementation of good governance is a must, not just a trend in international relationship. Therefore, all officials and staffs of governmental institution and other state organizations should improve their understanding in executing good governance.
