This undergraduate thesis discusses the consumer protection aspect on the selling of cigarettes without Pictorial Health Warning and its regulatory comparison with other countries, in this case, Singapore & Thailand. This research is a normative legal research which is conducted by using literature study. The results of this research shows that there’s a violation of consumer’s rights on the distribution of cigarettes, which should include a Pictorial Health Warning on its package. The regulations of Pictorial Health Warning in Indonesia is also less emphasize the aspects of consumer protection, in this case, cigarette consumer, which should be prominent given the negative impact that would be caused by smoking itself.

This thesis explains the attempts by Thaksin Shinawatra to resolve the southern conflict during his premiership (2001-2006). This conflict is a type of religious-linguistic conflict, caused by acknowledgement (or lack thereof) of the identity of the Melayu-Islam identity, which is Islam religion and Malay culture. Separatism became the method used by the Melayu-Islam people to acquire their freedom. The southern conflict has occurred since the 1960s, and tended to de-escalate during Prem Tinsulanonda?s premiership from 1980-1988. The conflict escalated again when Thaksin made a poor decision regarding for the southern conflict. Consequently, the rebels acquired new force in struggling again for their feedom, namely by attempting to separate themselves from Thailand."

"To
develop seismic design criteria for buildings, seismic hazard analysis is required to estimate the ground motion
intensity with criteria such as peak ground
acceleration (PGA). The seismic hazard can be analyzed by using two approaches: deterministic seismic hazard analysis (DSHA) and
probabilistic seismic hazard analysis (PSHA). In these two approaches, the
seismic hazard is evaluated from past earthquake events and active faults data. In Thailand, seismic hazard is classified in the low lying regions; however, in recently years,
earthquakes have occurred frequently in the North of Thailand. To
prevent and reduce damage due to earthquakes in the future, determination
of seismic hazard is needed. This
research proposes a deterministic seismic hazard
map evaluated from nineteen
active faults affecting
Thailand. Two types of active faults are considered: first, an active fault in a subduction zone and second, a crustal fault. The seismic hazard is evaluated by using a ground
motion prediction equation (GMPEs). Four GMPEs are weighted equally for
seismic crustal fault, and two GMPEs are weighted equally for
a seismic subduction zone. The hypocentral distance is
used to evaluate the seismic hazard for all ground motion prediction equations.
The Northern part and the Western part of Thailand are high seismic hazard
regions, because there are active faults with the large possibility of earthquakes of a maximum magnitude. The seismic
hazards in the North, West and Northeast of Thailand are about 0.60 g.
The seismic hazard in Bangkok is about 0.25 g due to the Three Pagoda fault and Sri Sawat fault. The seismic hazard in the South of Thailand is about 0.40 g."

"Although there has been an increase in Performance Management (PM) literature over the years
arguing that PM perceptions are likely to be a function of PM process components and contextual
factors, the actual relationship between the contextual factors and employee satisfaction of PM
remains little explored. Extending previous research, this study examines relationships between
contextual factors and employees? PM satisfaction. Derived from the literature, these contextual
factors are motivation and empowerment of employees, role conflict, role ambiguity, perceived organisational
support, procedural justice and distributive justice. Seven directional hypotheses are
tested accordingly through a series of regression analyses. This article finds that these contextual
factors, with the exception of role conflict, are directly predictive of enhanced employees? PM satisfaction

This bachelor thesis discussed about the interests of both Cambodia 39 s and Thailand 39 s political actors which became the cause of border conflicts around it from 2008 to 2011. This research, used qualitative method and focused difference of interests between Hun Sen, Prime Minister of Cambodia from Cambodian 39 s People Party CPP , and Prime Minister of Thailand, Abhisit Vejjajiva from Democracy Party PD , which in turn was succeeded by Yingluck Shinawatra from Pheu Thai Party. Their interests undoubtedly determines the course of conflict. By using Pruit and Rubin 39 s theory of conflict, this research proved that the existence of difference of interests between Cambodia 39 s and Thailand 39 s Prime Ministers caused border conflicts between Cambodia and Thailand. This conflicts were based on the interests of political actors who had the same goal to gain power in each of their countries."

ABSTRACT
Vietnam and Thailand are two Southeast Asian countries that have been through different modernization
process one and another. While Vietnam was once under a communist regime, Thailand was an ally of the U.S.
and tend to be pro-modernization during the Cold War era the following era. However, both countries consume
Hallyu massively and view it as a symbol of pan-Asian modernity. They also look up to Hallyu as a standard for
how pop culture is supposed to be produced by localizing it. Using a modified circuit of culture as a theoretical
framework, this paper examines the interrelated dimensions associated with Hallyu proliferation in Thailand and
Vietnam, and how two countries localize Hallyu as their own local products."
