"Parallel-coupled wave-guide with symmetrical structure has interesting coupling characteristics and can be used as multiplexer/demultiplexer when certain working requirements are met. The coupling properties in the coupled wave-guide are analyzed theoretically on the basis of two mode interference effect of the propagating waves, wavelength dependence of wave-guide directional coupler is investigated in the coupling region. A rough approximation of the dependence is determined based on simplified transfer matrix multiplications followed by more detailed computer calculation using Beam Propagation method CBPMI.
By varying the dimensions of wave-guide such as width, thickness, gap, interaction length, refractive index difference and wavelength we could get different coupling properties, then the results of analysis are used to select the appropriate dimensions of multiplexer/demultiplexer that works on the range of wavelength (1.3 pm - 1.6 pm). This burned channel-type directional coupler is designed on Silicon substrate to be fabricated by sputtering technology.

"ABSTRAK
A compact, simple and low-cost transversely excited atmospheric (TEA) pressure ultraviolet nitrogen laser {337 nm) has been designed and constructed employing the conventional Blumlein circuit. The measured energy of the output pulse of 337 nm is around 80 -J at 25 kV of charging voltage and l atm operating gas pressure. The beam divergence is found to be 7.7 mrad horizontally and 1.5 mrad vertically. The energy output decreases slightly with increasing gas pressure and gas flow rate, while the beam divergence is relatively stable with respect to the same operating parameters."

"ABSTRACT
Probing of the atmospheric parameters have been done by many scientists since a century ago up to present with various techniques. A simple system of laser radar without using any collimated beam but a reflected mirror as transmitter and a small cassegranian type (10.5 an in diameter) telescope as receiving was constructed to investigate the relative Mie backscattering coefficient by utilizing a nitrogen laser as a light source in the range of measurement bellow 1 Km. The backscattered light received by the receiving telescope is converted into electric current by photomultiplier and is shown and known as "A scope" display on an oscilloscope. SNR of the signal from photomultiplier was increased by using a boxcar integrator and its output could be recorded with XY recorder.

"ABSTRACT
The principles of frequency stabilization is to keep constant the optical path length in laser cavity by controlling the laser- tube length. In this system used temperature servo control to control the laser tube length.
As reference to an error derived by a sensitive frequency discriminator. Basically the operation of this sensitive frequency discrimantor utilized the longitudinal Zeeman Laser, which splits atomic gain profile.
When a longitudinal magnetic field is applied to an internal mirror of single mode He-Ne Laser, the active medium acquires a negative circular dichroism. There fore the intensity of the left cicular polarization (LCP) output of the, laser will be different from the intensity of the right circular polarization (RCP) output and only when the two are simmetrically disposed about the center line will their intensities be equal. This intensity difference as feedback can be detected by passing the output beam throught Wallaston prism and the two orthogonally polarized beams are received by two identical photodiodes. The difference between the output of photodiode as amplified and the resulting signal is passed throught a system controller (PID) before it is fed back as heating or cooling current of peltier elements. This current controls the resonator length thermally and lock the laser frequencies of the two polarized beam symmetrically on either side of the profile."

"Rapid prototyping atau layered manufacturing secara singkat merupakan proses fabrikasi produk dengan layer by layer, dimana material ditambahkan ke layar berturut-turut sesuai dengan laser trajectory. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan laser trajectory proses rapid prototyping untuk produk berkontur dan prismatik dengan arah directional parallel. Pengembangan ini menggunakan parameter layer thickness dan hatch space yang menjadi variabel dari interval bidang potong pembuatan laser trajecory.
Hasil penelitian ini berupa algoritma pembuatan laser trajectory pada model STL berkontur dan prismatik. Algoritma yang dikembangkan menampilkan graphic user interface (GUI) sehingga pemakai dapat menentukan model, memasukkan nilai parameter, dan kemudian mensimulasikan. Selain menghasilkan grafik, juga menghasilkan file G-Code yang disertai titik-titik koordinat penentu laser trajectory. Dari simulasi dengan beberapa model prismatik dan berkontur menghasilkan laser trajectory yang teratur sesuai dengan pola model dan file GCode dalam format text.

Rapid Prototyping or layered manufacturing simply is parts fabrication process with layer by layer, where material added to layer successively as according to laser trajectory. This research aim to laser trajectory generation of rapid prototyping process for sculptured and prismatic parts with directional parallel. The development use parameter layer thickness, and hatch space as variable of slicing interval to generate laser trajectory.
The result is algorithm of laser trajectory generation for sculptured and prismatic of STL model. The algorithm presenting graphic user intervace (GUI) in order to user can determine model, input parameter value, and than simulate model. Beside yielding graph, also yield G-Code file accompanied coordinate points as determinant laser trajectory. From simulation of model sculptured and prismatic resulting laser trajectory consecutively as according to model pattern and G-Code file in text format."

"ABSTRAK
Nanopartikel emas memiliki keamanan dan biokompatibilitas yang baik dalam menghantarkan target obat pada organ atau jaringan spesifik tertentu. Perkembangan sintesis nanopartikel emas dengan berbagai metode untuk memenuhi tujuan dalam aplikasi biomedis dan farmasi telah menjadi perhatian banyak peneliti sehingga perlu dikaji kelebihan maupun kekurangannya. Metode yang sedang banyak diteliti, yaitu metode green synthesis dan metode ablasi laser yang merupakan metode ramah lingkungan dimana dapat mengurangi toksisitas dari bahan kimia yang berbahaya. Artikel review ini meninjau ulasan mengenai sintesis nanopartikel emas yang berfokus pada metode green synthesis dengan mekanisme reduksi larutan emas (HAuCl4) oleh ekstrak tanaman dan mekanisme ablasi laser Nd:YAG pada pelat emas dalam larutan, faktor-faktor yang dapat memberi pengaruh, serta secara singkat menguraikan aplikasi biomedis nanopartikel emas. Penulis berharap dapat membantu peneliti untuk menentukan metode sintesis yang lebih baik dan efisien dalam menghasilkan nanopartikel emas dengan karakteristik yang sesuai.

ABSTRACT
Gold nanoparticles have good safety and biocompatibility in delivering drug targets to certain specific organs or tissues. The development of the synthesis of gold nanoparticles with various methods to achieve goals in biomedical and pharmaceutical applications has caught the attention of many researchers that needs to be reviewed the advantages and disadvantages. The method that is being researched is green synthesis method and laser ablation method which is an environmentally friendly method which can reduce the toxicity of hazardous chemicals. This review article presents the review of the synthesis of gold nanoparticles which focuses on the mechanism of green synthesis method by reducing of gold solution (HAuCl4) by plant extracts and the mechanism of Nd: YAG laser ablation of gold plates in solution, influential factors, and briefly describes the biomedical applications of gold nanoparticles. The author hopes to help researchers to determine which synthesis methods are better and more efficient in producing gold nanoparticles with appropriate characteristics."
