"First published in 2002 and now updated and expanded, this guide pioneered the idea that hormones play a key role in weight loss and weight control. Writing in clear, simple terms, Dr. Isaacs profiles each hormone system, discussing what can go wrong and how imbalances can affect weight and even perpetuate obesity. The book explains how to reverse symptoms of hormonal imbalance through diet changes and other remedies, and then expands the discussion, teaching readers how to deal with everything from menstrual cycles to diabetes by recognizing and remedying hormonal problems."

In recent years, the number of students participating in internship programs has been increasing. Many challenges and demands, if not successfully addressed, students who participated in internship programs could experience job stress. This study aims to examine the effect of work-life balance on job stress among students participating in internships. The main hypothesis stated that there is a significant negative effect between work-life balance and job stress. This research is a quantitative study that was conducted using regression analysis on 149 Indonesians citizens who are students currently undergoing internship programs. The measurement instruments used are the Work-Life Balance (WLB) Scale for work-life balance and the Job Stress (JS) Scale for job stress. The questionnaire was distributed online using Google Form. Using simple linear regression analysis technique, the research findings indicate that work-life balance (M = 3,63, SD = 0,54) significantly negatively influences work-related stress (M = 2,65, SD = 0,75), F(1,147)=64,73, p<0.01, R^2=0,301. Based on the multiple linear regression analysis, it was found that the dimensions of work-life balance simultaneously affect job stress. In conclusion, the research findings support the hypothesis that work-life balance negatively influences job stress. Individuals with high work-life balance, especially in the dimensions of PLIW and WEPL, are more capable of preventing job stress. Conversely, individuals with low work-life balance are more likely to be exposed to job stress. Based on the research results, organizations and companies that offer internship programs are advised to provide training or seminars for interns that address the importance of work-life balance in the workplace. This can help them better manage their demands between work and personal life and achieve work-life balance."

New Ways of Working milik Van Steenbergen, dkk. (2018).

Work-life balance and new ways of working are personal and environmental factors that are predicted to influence job stress. The study of 101 PT Bank Sharia X head office employees aims at finding out the effect of work-life balance and new ways of working towards job stress. This study is a quantitative research that distributes three online questionnaires consisting of job stress scale (Shukla & Srivastava, 2016), work-life balance scale (Bell, Rajendran, & Theiler, 2012), and scale of new ways of working (Van Steenbergen, et al., 2018). The research is tested by applying multiple regression technique with forced entry (enter) method in SPSS. The results of regression analysis on each predictor variable indicate that work-life balance has a negative and significant effect on job stress (β = -0,54, p<0,05). However, the new ways of working variable was found to have no significant effect on job stress (β = -0,13, p>0,05). The result shows that work-life balance and new ways of working are collectively able to predict job stress F(2, 98)=24,51, R=0,58, p<0,01, R2=33,3%). This finding indicates that work-life balance and new ways of working simultaneously give a 33,3% variation in job stress, while the rest of 66,7% is explained by other factors that are not measured in this study. Therefore, it can be said that work-life balance has a stronger effect on job stress than new ways of working as predictor variables. The discussion about these findings, limitations, and suggestions are presented in the end of this paper."
