"Tropical forest management (TFM) has become increasingly globalized since the end of the Cold War. This article examines how Cambodian forest management, long supported by international organizations, has failed. The focus here is on complicit mechanisms of international efforts in the failure of Cambodia’s forest management, rather than on well-clarified domestic politico-economic structures. Paradoxical facets of international support for Cambodia’s forest management are also elucidated. Major efforts by international stakeholders to introduce sustainable forest management (SFM) in Cambodia included projects and programs supported by the World Bank and other organizations from the 1990s to the 2000s. These included the reform of commercial logging concessions based on international standards and the introduction of community forestry based on different models. However, Cambodia continued to undergo severe deforestation in the 2010s, due to destructive timber harvesting and monoculture plantation development by groups connected with the ruling party and authoritarian states, and cash crop cultivation by local farmers, as a result of failed international efforts. Those unsuccessful efforts stemmed from dissonance among international stakeholders on how to support SFM in Cambodia and other developing countries. The failure suggests two paradoxical facets of the current globalized, pluralized TFM, particularly in developing countries like Cambodia. First, forest management in developing countries is difficult to improve as there are many stakeholders with different interests to be coordinated. Second, authoritarian political parties and states can benefit from unsuccessful TFM"

"Tugas akhir ini membahas mengenai perbaikan sistem dan proses bisnis pada perusahaan BUMN PT Adhi Karya dimana secara umum semua perusahaan BUMN Karya saat ini mengalami hal yang serupa yakni keuangan yang tidak sehat sehingga Kementerian BUMN membentuk PMO (Project Management Office) yang mempunyai tujuan untuk mempercepat penyehatan keuangan BUMN Karya. Program sub stream PMO Karya ada 5 (lima) macam yaitu Financial Risk Policy, Financial Dashboard, Asset Recycling Property, Core Competencies dan Specialization. Selain itu PT ADHI KARYA yang sebelumnya pernah menjadi peringkat 1 diantara BUMN Karya pada tahun 2000an awal, saat ini ingin kembali mencapai posisi tersebut dengan tagline Transformasi “Back to be The Best”. Untuk melaksanakan transformasi diperlukan role model dan lead by example.

This final project discusses the improvement of systems and business processes at the SOE PT Adhi Karya where in general all BUMN Karya companies are currently experiencing the same thing, namely unhealthy finances so that the Ministry of SOE has formed a PMO (Project Management Office) which has the aim of accelerating health BUMN Karya finance. There are 5 (five) types of PMO Karya sub stream programs, namely Financial Risk Policy, Financial Dashboard, Asset Recycling Property, Core Competencies and Specialization. In addition, PT Adhi Karya, which was previously ranked 1 among Karya SOE in the early 2000s, now wants to return to that position with the Transformation tagline "Back to be The Best". To carry out the transformation, a role model and lead by example are needed.

"Saat ini, aset organisasi bukan hanya yang berwujud saja tetapi juga yang tidak berwujud, seperti pengetahuan. Banyak sekali organisasi yang menyadari akan pentingnya manajemen pengetahuan salah satunya adalah STMIK GI MDP. Namun proses manajemen pengetahuan di STMIK GI MDP belum terlaksana dengan baik, maka perlu diketahui faktor-faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi proses manajemen pengetahuan di STMIK GI MDP. Dalam penelitian ini, faktor-faktor yang diduga mempengaruhi proses manajemen pengetahuan adalah faktor kepercayaan, kolaborasi, pembelajaran, strategi organisasi, penghargaan, sentralisasi, formalisasi, IT support, T-shape skill, effort expectancy dan performance expectancy.
Proses manajemen pengetahuan diukur dengan menggunakan pendekatan Socialization, Externalization, Combination, dan Internalization. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui kuesioner dimana respondennya adalah semua karyawan di STMIK GI MDP dengan mengunakan skala likert 5 poin. Hasil kuesioner dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan partial least square (PLS). Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah faktor kepercayaan, faktor strategi organisasi dan penghargaan terbukti signifikan memberikan pengaruh kuat terhadap proses manajemen pengetahuan.

Currently, organization’s assets not only tangible but also intangible, for example is knowledge. Lots of organizations are realizing the importance of knowledge management one of them STMIK GI MDP. But the process of knowledge management in the STMIK GI MDP has not done well, it is necessary to knowed the factors that influence the process of knowledge management in the STMIK GI MDP. In this study, the factors allegedly influence the process of knowledge management is a factor of trust, collaboration, learning, organizational strategy, rewards, centralization, formalization, information technology support, T-shaped skills, effort expectancy and performance expectancy.
Knowledge management processes is measured using Socialization approach, externalization, Combination, and Internalization. This study uses a quantitative approach through a questionnaire where respondents are all of employees in STMIK GI MDP by using 5-point Likert scale. The results of the questionnaire analyzed using the approach of partial least square (PLS). The results of this study is the trust factor, factor organizational strategy, and rewards proved significant a strong influence on the process of knowledge management.

"Manajemen pengetahuan sektor publik memiliki banyak manfaat bagi birokrasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kapabilitas manajemen pengetahuan yang terdiri dari kapabilitas infrastruktur pengetahuan dan kapabilitas proses pengetahuan yang dapat mempengaruhi kinerja organisasi dengan perspektif balanced scorecard. Penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif dan menggunakan teknik total sampling. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan kuesioner yang dianalisis menggunakan software SmartPLS dan SPSS. Kontribusi penelitian ini mencoba untuk mengadopsi model kapabilitas manajemen pengetahuan sebagai pandangan holistik yang mempengaruhi kinerja organisasi. Kuesioner disebarkan kepada 81 tim struktural dan manajemen pengetahuan di 34 Perwakilan Badan Pengawasan Keuangan dan Pembangunan (BPKP) di Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua hipotesis diterima. Kapabilitas infrastruktur pengetahuan berpengaruh terhadap kinerja organisasi dan kapabilitas proses pengetahuan menunjukkan hubungan langsung dan signifikan dengan kinerja organisasi. Kapabilitas proses pengetahuan sebagai variabel moderasi bagi kapabilitas infrastruktur pengetahuan dan kinerja organisasi. Selanjutnya kedua variabel secara simultan mempengaruhi kinerja organisasi. Rekomendasi penelitian adalah bahwa organisasi sektor publik harus mendukung proses manajemen pengetahuan, serta membangun infrastruktur manajemen pengetahuan yang tepat karena terbukti berpengaruh terhadap kinerja organisasi. Hasil penelitian ini akan membantu praktisi untuk mengadvokasi pentingnya manajemen pengetahuan untuk sektor publik.

Public sector knowledge management offer many benefits for the bureaucracy. The purpose of this study is to analyze the knowledge management capabilities consisting of knowledge infrastructure capabilities and knowledge process capabilities that can affect organizational performance with a balanced scorecard perspective. This research is quantitative and uses total sampling technique. The research instrument used a questionnaire which was analyzed using SmartPLS and SPSS software. The contribution of this study is to try to adopt a knowledge management capability model as a holistic view that affects organizational performance. Questionnaires were distributed to 81 structural and knowledge management teams in 34 Representatives of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) in Indonesia. The results showed that all hypotheses were accepted. Knowledge infrastructure capability affects organizational performance and knowledge process capability shows a direct and significant relationship with organizational performance. Knowledge process capability as a moderating variable for knowledge infrastructure capability and organizational performance. Furthermore, both variables simultaneously affect organizational performance. The research recommendation is that public sector organizations must support the knowledge management process, as well as build the right knowledge management infrastructure because it has been proven to have an effect on organizational performance. The results of this study will help practitioners to advocate for the importance of knowledge management for the public sector."

"Activities performed in organizations are coordinated via communication between the people involved. The sentences used to communicate are naturally structured by subject, verb, and object. The subject describes the actor, the verb the action and the object what is affected by the action. Subject-oriented Business Process Management (S-BPM) as presented in this book is based on this simple structure which enables process-oriented thinking and process modeling.
S-BPM puts the subject of a process at the center of attention and thus deals with business processes and their organizational environment from a new perspective, meeting organizational requirements in a much better way than traditional approaches. Subjects represent agents of an action in a process, which can be either technical or human (e.g. a thread in an IT system or a clerk). A process structures the actions of each subject and coordinates the required communication among the subjects. S-BPM provides a coherent procedural framework to model and analyze business processes, its focus is the cooperation of all stakeholders involved in the strategic, tactical, and operational issues, sharing their knowledge in a networked structure.
The authors illustrate how each modeling activity through the whole development lifecycle can be supported through the use of appropriate software tools. The presentation style focuses on professionals in industry, and on students specializing in process management or organizational modeling. Each chapter begins with a summary of key findings and is full of examples, hints, and possible pitfalls. An interpreter model, a toolbox, and a glossary summarizing the main terms complete the book. "Indonesia merupakan negara dengan jumlah muslim sebanyak 87.2 dari total jumlah penduduk. Dengan banyaknya populasi muslim terdapat kemungkinan bahwa nilai Islam dapat mempengaruhi lingkungan kerja dalam bentuk peraturan yang diterapkan untuk karyawan. Penelitian ini menguji apakah praktik manajemen sumber daya manusia yang terdiri dari seleksi, pelatihan, evaluasi, partisipasi karyawan dan kompensasi berpengaruh terhadap kinerja organisasi. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menguji apakah prinsip Islam dapat memoderasi hubungan antara praktik manajemen sumber daya manusia dengan kinerja organisasi. Penelitian ini mengambil sampel dari lima lembaga nirlaba Islam. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan metode SEM PLS.
Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa praktik manajemen sumber daya manusia mempengaruhi kinerja organisasi secara signifikan, sedangkan variabel prinsip Islam tidak terbukti memoderasi hubungan antara praktik sumber daya manusia dan kinerja organisasi. Implikasi dari penelitian ini yaitu praktik manajemen sumber daya manusia yang terdiri dari seleksi, pelatihan, evaluasi, partisipasi karyawan dan kompensasi dapat dijadikan bahan pertimbangan untuk mencapai kinerja organisasi yang baik.

Indonesia is a country with the largest Muslim population with 87.2 of the total population. With so many Muslim populations, there is the possibility that Islamic values can affect the work environment in the form of rules applied to employees. This study examined whether human resource management practices consist of selection, training, evaluation, employee participation and compensation affect organizational performance. In addition, this study also examines whether Islamic principles can moderate the relationship between human resource management practices and organizational performance. The study took samples from five non profit Islamic institutions. Data processing is done by SEM PLS method.
The results of this study show that the practice of human resource management significantly influences organizational performance, while Islamic principle variables are not proven to moderate the relationship between human resource practices and organizational performance. The implications of this study that human resource management practices which consist of selection, training, evaluation, employee participation and compensation can be taken into consideration to achieve good organizational performance.
