"Film adalah salah satu bentuk karya sastra karena menggunakan bahasa untuk menyampaikan pesan dan merupakan sebuah ciptaan imajinasi dari pengarangnya. Film merupakan pergerakan kontemporer dari bentuk sastra tekstual ke sastra visual. Salah satu karya sastra berbentuk film yang diterima dengan baik oleh masyarakat internasional adalah Antonia’s Line (1995) karya Marleen Gorris. Film Antonia’s Line (1995) menerima banyak penghargaan bergengsi dan memperoleh banyak perhatian dari para kritikus film serta jurnalis. Film yang berdurasi 1 jam 42 menit ini menceritakan kisah perempuan bernama Antonia yang kembali ke desa tempat kelahirannya bersama dengan anaknya, Danielle, setelah Perang Dunia II. Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana hierarki kebutuhan manusia dari tokoh utama film Antonia’s Line 1995) karya Marleen Gorris. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan hierarki kebutuhan manusia dari tokoh utama film Antonia’s Line (1995) karya Marleen Goris. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori hierarki kebutuhan manusia oleh Abraham Harold Maslow dan didukung dengan teori tokoh oleh Nurgiyantoro. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hierarki kebutuhan manusia dari tokoh utama film Antonia’s Line (1995) yang tersusun atas kebutuhan fisiologis, kebutuhan keamanan, kebutuhan cinta, kebutuhan ego, dan kebutuhan aktualisasi diri dari Antonia berhasil terpenuhi.

Film is a form of literary work because it uses language to convey messages and is a creation of the imagination of its author. Film is a contemporary movement from the form of textual literature to visual literature. One of the literary works in the form of a film that was well received by international community is Antonia's Line (1995) by Marleen Gorris. The film Antonia’s Line (1995) received many prestigious awards and gained much attention from film critics as well as journalists. The film which lasts 1 hour 42 minutes tells the story of a woman named Antonia who returns to the village where she was born with her daughter, Danielle, after World War II. The problem of this research is how are the hierarchy of human needs of the main character in Antonia's Line (1995) film by Marleen Gorris. The purpose of this research is to describe the hierarchy of human needs of the main character in Antonia's Line (1995) film by Marleen Goris. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive method. This research used the theory of the hierarchy of human needs by Abraham Harold Maslow and supported by the theory of character from Nurgiyantoro. The results of this research show that the hierarchy of human needs of the main character in Antonia’s Line (1995) film which is composed of physiological needs, security needs, love needs, ego needs, and self-actualization needs has been successfully fulfilled."

Film yang digarap oleh sutradara Marleen Gorris ini menyimpan banyakgagasan dan ide-ide feminisme yang disampaikan baik melalui bangunan cerita,dialog antar tokoh, hingga unsur sinematografi yang dibungkus secara apik sehinggamenjadi salah satu ihwal yang influensial dalam pergerakan feminisme gelombangkedua di Belanda, melalui media film. Tulisan ini membahas tentang unsur-unsurfeminisme yang terdapat dalam film De Stile Rond Christine M. karya MarleenGorris, dan juga kaitan feminisme dengan penggambaran perempuan dalam film.

ABSTRACTDutch's second wave feminist movement is one of the most renownedwomen's movement in mainland Europe. However, conveying the messages and ideasof feminism were engaged not only by peaceful demonstration and words of mouth,but also through another form of media, namely film. As one of the most effectivemedia for propaganda, film is shaped as one of the key components to deliver ideas offeminism in the Netherlands. One of the example is De Stilte Rond Christine M.Directed by Marleen Gorris, the film holds feminist ideas and messages that isdelivered through the build up of the story, dialogues between characters, as well aselements of cinematography that wrapped up nicely so it became one of the mostinfluential in the women's movement. "Darbareye Elly merupakan sebuah film thriller psikologis dari Iran yang disutradarai oleh Asghar Farhadi dan diproduksi pada tahun 2009. Bercerita tentang sekelompok teman yang sedang pergi ke pinggir kota, Pantai Kaspia, untuk berlibur. Seiring berjalannya cerita, terungkap kebohongan-kebohongan dari para tokoh untuk mewujudkan keinginannya masing-masing. Motivasi dari para tokoh membuat perubahan karakter yang digambarkan berbeda-beda. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori psikologi sastra mengacu pada Sigmund Freud. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memaparkan karakter tokoh utama sesuai dengan teori psikologi sastra oleh Sigmund Freud. Hasil dari penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa kepribadian tokoh utama, yaitu Elly, Sepideh, dan Ahmad memiliki karakter id yang paling mendominasi dibandingkan dengan ego dan superego, serta tokoh yang paling menunjukkan perubahan karakternya adalah Sepideh, lalu Elly, dan yang tidak terlalu menunjukkan perubahan karakternya adalah Ahmad.

Darbareye Elly is an Iranian psychological thriller film directed by Asghar Farhadi and produced in 2009. It tells the story of a group of friends who go to the edge of the city, the Caspian Coast, for a vacation. As the story progresses, lies are revealed from the characters to realize their respective desires. The motivations of the characters make changes to the characters portrayed differently. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. The theory used is the theory of literary psychology referring to Sigmund Freud. The purpose of this research is to describe the main character in accordance with the theory of literary psychology by Sigmund Freud. The results of this study found that the personalities of the main characters, namely Elly, Sepideh, and Ahmad have id characters that dominate the most compared to ego and superego, and the character who shows the most character change is Sepideh, then Elly, and the one who doesn't show too much character change is Ahmad."

"Film Bankier van Het Verzet menjadi salah satu film yang mengangkat kisah nyata perjuangan rakyat Belanda dalam melawan pendudukan Nazi, khususnya Walraven van Hall yang merupakan tokoh utama dalam film dengan ambisinya membela rakyat Belanda. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan permasalahan penelitian yaitu bagaimana tindak tutur digunakan oleh tokoh utama film Bankier van Het Verzet tahun 2018. Teori yang digunakan dalam menyusun penelitian ini yaitu tindak tutur dari Searle (1969). Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diambil dari dialog tokoh utama yang memiliki dua peran berbeda dalam film dengan judul Bankier van Het Verzet. Film ini diperoleh dari layanan over the top (OTT), Netflix. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menunjukkan adanya perbedaan penggunaan secara umum tindak tutur serta tujuan tindak tutur yang digunakan tokoh utama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perbedaan tindak tutur yang digunakan tokoh utama sesuai dengan mitra tutur dan konteks yang ada saat tuturan terjadi.

Bankier van Het Verzet is one of the films that tells the true story of the struggle of the Dutch people against the Nazi occupation, focused on Walraven van Hall who is the main character in the film with his ambition to defend the Dutch people. The method of this research is qualitative research method, with the aim of knowing the speech acts of the main character of the 2018’s movie Bankier van Her Verzet. The theory that used to compile this research is the speech of acts by Searle (1969). The data that used in this research was taken from the main character of Bankier van Het Verzet movie that has two different characters. This movie was obtained from Netflix's over the top (OTT) service. The purpose of this research is to show the differences in the general use of speech acts and the purpose of speech acts used by the main character. The results of this research show the differences of the speech acts that used by the main character according to the speech partners and the context that existed when the speech occurred."

"ABSTRAKSkripsi ini menganalisis perubahan karakter tokoh utama anak yaitu Theeb Al-Howeitat dalam film Theeb. Tujuannya adalah untuk memaparkan dan menjelaskan berbagai perubahan karakter Theeb beserta penyebabnya. Metodologi yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berupa metodologi kepustakaan, metode strukturalis digunakan untuk menganalisis unsur intrinsik, metode deskriptif analitis digunakan untuk menganalisis perubahan karakter tokoh Theeb. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan tokoh Theeb mengalami perubahan karena mengalami perasaan dukacita yang mendalam, kemudian ia pun berubah menjadi karakter yang lain demi mendapatkan kebahagiaan.

ABSTRACTThis thesis analyzes the changing character of the main character, Theeb Al Howeitat, in Theeb movie. The purpose of this thesis is to explain and describe any changes of Theeb rsquo s character and also the factors. Structuralist method is used to analyzing the intrinsic elements in this movie, descriptive analytic method is used to analyzing the changes of Theeb rsquo s character. The result of this thesis can be concluded that Theeb had changed because he had deep grief feeling, and then he change to another character to get a happier life."

Film dibedah menggunakan teori film Boggs dan Petrie untuk membedah aspek naratif dan sinematografis, kajian gender Judith Butler, dan kajian queer Brett Beemyn dan Eliason untuk membedah ideologi teks. Ketertarikan terhadap laki-laki menjadi hasil dari peran pengalaman traumatis Juno d alam mengonst ruksi id ent it as gend ernya, sed angkan peran sosial menghasilkan konstruksi identitas gender Juno yang mengarah pada adanya sifat-sifat feminin di dalam tubuh Juno yang secara alami maskulin. Dilihat dari posisi film, identitas gender Juno adalah non-biner yang perlu dihargai dan boleh hadir di tengah-tengah masyarakat. Terdapat adanya kritik film terhadap kepura-puraan masyarakat identitas non-biner yang menjalani kehidupan sesuai norma heteroseksualitas.

Men and women are binary systems on normative gender that are present in society. However, other variations of gender identity are also present in society, including transgender, agender, genderqueer, androgynous, or a combination of those identities. There are also variations of sexual identity, such as heterosexual, homosexual, and asexual. Variations in gender identity and sexual identity can be influenced by social roles and traumatic experiences of the individual which depicted in the Indonesian film Kucumbu Tubuh Indahku (2018). The research focuses on the construction of the main character's gender identity. The film is analyzed using Boggs and Petrie’s film theory to dissect the narrative and cinematographic aspects of the film, Judith Butler’s gender studies, and queer studies from Brett Beemyn and Eliason to dissect the ideology of the text. The attraction to men is the result of Juno's traumatic experience in constructing his gender identity, while social roles result in Juno's gender identity construction which leads to the presence of feminine traits in Juno's naturally masculine body. Judging from the film's position, Juno's gender identity is placed as a non-binary that needs to be respected and allowed to be present in society. There is also film criticism against the pretense of society with its non-binary identity who lives a life according to the norms of heterosexuality."

"Penelitian ini membahas tentang negosiasi identitas tokoh utama dalam film Valentino (2013). Penelitian ini memakai teori film David Bordwell dan Kristin Thompson yang dilihat dari aspek sinematografis. Pendekatan negosiasi menjadi pendukung untuk menganalisis korpus. Hasil penelitian ini memperlihatkan negosiasi dan penolakan identitas yang dipilih tokoh utama untuk menyelesaikan konflik identitasnya. Adanya stereotip orang Belanda terhadap imigran Maroko menjadi penyebab konflik identitas yang dialami tokoh utama. Pada akhirnya tokoh utama memilih untuk tetap mempertahankan identitas Marokonya.

This research discusses the negotiation identity of the main character in the film Valentino (2013). This research uses the theory of the film David Bordwell and Kristin Thompson as seen from cinematographic aspects. The negotiation approach becomes a supporter for analyzing the corpus. The results of this research show that negotiation and rejection of the identity chosen by the main character to resolve their identity conflict. The existence of the stereotype of the Dutch towards Moroccan immigrants is a cause of identity conflict experienced by the main character. In the end the main character chose to keep his Moroccan identity."

Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkanbahwa penokohan Cheng Dieyi di dalam novel lebih menonjol dibandingkandalam film karena penyesuaian yang dibutuhkan akibat perbedaan darikarakteristik masing-masing media. Sumber data dari penelitian ini adalah film Farewell My Concubine dan novel 霸王别姬 Bawang Bie Ji (Farewell MyConcubine) terbitan kedua. This undergraduate thesis analyzes the main character Cheng Dieyi in the film and novel 霸王别姬 Bawang Bie Ji (Farewell My Concubine). The purpose of this study is to explain both the similarities and differences of Cheng Dieyi's characterization between the film and novel. The conclusion of this study indicates that the characterization of Cheng Dieyi in the novel is more prominent than in the film due to the characteristics of both mediums. The sources of this study are the film Farewell My Concubine and the second edition of novel 霸王别姬 Bawang Bie Ji (Farewell My Concubine). Moreover, the author also uses otherrelevant sources to support the study."

"Tesis ini membahas perkembangan kepribadian tokoh utama film Love and Other Drugs, sebuah film komedi yang merupakan adaptasi dari sebuah buku non-fiksi, Hard Sell, The Evolution of a Viagra Salesman. Penelitian ini mencoba untuk mengungkapkan proses perkembangan kepribadian tokoh utama dengan menggunakan beberapa teori semiotik dan psikoanalisis. Alur film memperlihatkan benturan antara tokoh utama dengan tokoh-tokoh lain yang menyebabkan dia menjadi lebih matang dan bertanggung jawab. Tokoh dan penokohan dalam film menampilkan permasalahan yang merupakan kunci proses perkembangan kepribadian tokoh utama. Alur dan penokohan mendukung perkembangan kepribadian tokoh utama. Dari hasil analisis keseluruhan ditemukan bahwa perkembangan kepribadian seseorang tidak lepas dari lingkungan di sekitarnya, terutama orang-orang terdekatnya. Film Love and Other Drugs memberikan tawaran baru bagi karya film bergenre komedi yang menyajikan sebuah tema serius.

This thesis analyzes the personality development in the main character of Love and Other Drugs, a comedy film based on the non-fiction book, Hard Sell, The Evolution of a Viagra Salesman. This research attempts to reveal the process of personality development of the main character using semiotic and psychoanalysis theories. The plot of the film shows that there are conflicts among the main character towards the other characters which cause him to be mature and reliable. The characters and the characterization show that their problems are the keys of the process of the main character?s personality development. The plot and the characterization support his personality development. The analysis shows that someone?s personality development relates to his environment, especially, his family and close friends. Love and Other Drugs presenting a new serious aesthetic of a comedy film."
