Masa remaja merupakan masa yang penting untuk mulai mempersiapkan karier. Salah satu sumber daya yang penting untuk dimiliki individu untuk dapat menghadapi tantangan karier adalah adaptabilitas karier. Terdapat empat kemampuan yang menunjukkan adaptabilitas karier, yakni career concern, career control, career curiosity, dan career confidence. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat kontribusi dari dimensi connectedness dan value dalam perspektif waktu masa depan terhadap adaptabilitas karier siswa SMP di Banyuwangi, Indonesia. Penelitian dengan desain cross-sectional dilakukan terhadap 1.214 siswa SMP (M = 13,52, SD = 1,029). Hasil analisis multiple linear regression menunjukkan bahwa connectedness dan value dapat memprediksi adaptabilitas karier pada siswa SMP di Banyuwangi secara signifikan (F(2, 1211) = 143.934, p < 0,001, R2 = 0,192). Dimensi connectedness menunjukkan pengaruh yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dimensi value. Hasil penelitian ini juga menunjukkan pentingnya mendorong remaja untuk mulai memahami hubungan antara perilaku di masa kini dengan konsekuensi di masa depan (connectedness) serta menghargai tujuan jangka panjang (value) secara lebih dini.


Adolescence is an important time to start preparing for a career. One of the important psychological resources’ individuals need to develop to successfully manage career challenges is career adaptability. There are four abilities that show career adaptability, namely career concern, career control, career curiosity, and career confidence. This study aims to investigate the contribution of connectedness and value dimensions in future time perspective to career adaptability of middle school students in Banyuwangi, Indonesia. The study with a cross-sectional design was conducted on 1.214 middle school students (M = 13.52, SD = 1.029). Multiple linear regression analysis indicates that connectedness and value significantly predicted career adaptability among middle school students in Banyuwangi (F(2, 1211) = 143.934, p <.001, R2 = 0.192). Connectedness dimension shows higher contribution than value dimension. The results of this study also show the importance of encouraging early adolescents to understand the connection between present behavior and future consequence (connectedness) and to value long-term goals (value).

"Berada pada usia perkembangan remaja akhir (late adolescence), siswa SMA sudah mulai dihadapkan pada situasi menentukan keputusan karier. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut, studi mengenai keputusan karier (career decidedness) semakin berkembang dengan banyaknya variabel terkait, diantaranya variabel adaptabilitas karier (career adaptability) dan identitas kejuruan (vocational identity). Dalam rangka meneliti lebih lanjut mengenai keputusan karier, peneliti ingin mengetahui kontribusi adaptabilitas karier dan identitas kejuruan dalam menentukan keputusan karier pada siswa SMA. Dalam penelitian ini, variabel dependen yaitu keputusan karier diukur menggunakan Career Decision Scale (CDS) oleh Osipow, et al. (1976), kedua variabel independen yaitu identitas kejuruan dan adaptabilitas karier diukur menggunakan Vocational Identity Status Assessment(VISA) oleh Porfeli, et al. (2011) dan Career Adapt-Abilities Scale (CAAS) oleh Savickas dan Porfeli (2012). Penelitian ini merupakan studi kuantitatif yang melibatkan 172 siswa SMA di Indonesia (36 laki-laki dan 136 perempuan). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa identitas kejuruan dan adaptabilitas karier terbukti secara signifikan berkontribusi terhadap keputusan karier siswa SMA (F=19.758 > 3.049 F Distribution, two-tailed; Sig. 0.000). Dari kedua variabel ini tampak bahwa identitas kejuruan memiliki kontribusi yang lebih besar (t = 5.885) terhadap keputusan karier siswa SMA dibandingkan dengan adaptabilitas karier (t = -4.425). Adapun kelemahan dalam penelitian ini yaitu adanya item pada alat ukur VISA dengan skor reliabilitas dan validitas yang masih rendah setelah tahap pengambilan data. Selain itu juga perlu pertimbangan pada item-item CDS yang bermakna ganda. Implikasi dalam penelitian ini diharapkan dapat bermanfaat bukan saja untuk siswa tetapi juga guru di sekolah yang dapat membantu siswa agar dapat memutuskan kariernya.

Being at the age of late adolescence, high school students have begun to be faced with the situation of determining career decisions. Based on these conditions, the study of career decisions (career decidedness) is growing with many related variables, including career adaptability and vocational identity. In order to further research of adolescence career decisions, the researcher wants to know the contribution of career adaptability and vocational identity in determining career decisions in high school students. In this study, the dependent variable, career decidedness, was measured using the Career Decision Scale (CDS) by Osipow, et al. (1976), the two independent variables, vocational identity and career adaptability were measured using the Vocational Identity Status Assessment (VISA) by Porfeli, et al. (2011) and Career Adapt-Abilities Scale (CAAS) by Savickas and Porfeli (2012). This research is a quantitative study involving 172 high school students in Indonesia (36 boys and 136 girls). The results showed that vocational identity and career adaptability were proven to significantly contribute to high school students' career decisions (F=19,758 > 3,049 F Distribution, two-tailed; Sig. 0.000). From these two variables, it appears that vocational identity contributes more (t = 5.885) to high school students' career decisions compared to career adaptability (t = -4.425). The existence of VISA items that have low reliability and validity scores even though it has passed the data collection stage can be a consideration of weaknesses in this study. In addition, it is also necessary to consider CDS items that have multiple meanings. The implications of this research are expected to be useful not only for students but also for teachers in schools who can help students decide their careers."

"Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat hubungan antara tingkah laku orangtua terkait karir dan adaptabilitas karir remaja SMP. Partisipan penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP kelas 9 di Indonesia, sebanyak 321 orang. Tingkah laku orangtua terkait karir diukur dengan menggunakan alat ukur Parental Career-Related Behavior) yang disusun oleh Dietrich dan Kracke (2009). Adaptabilitas karir diukur dengan Skala Adaptabilitas Karir yang disusun oleh Indianti (2015).
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara tingkah laku ayah yang mendukung (r=0.291, p<0.01), ibu yang mendukung (r=0.282, p<0.01), dan ayah yang ikut campur (r=0.158, p<0.01) dengan adaptabilitas karir. Selain itu, terdapat hubungan yang negatif dan signifikan antara tingkah laku ayah (r=0.235, p<0.01) dan ibu (r=0.281, p<0.01) yang kurang terlibat. Ditemukan pula bahwa tingkah laku ibu terkait karir berkontribusi lebih besar terhadap adaptabilitas karir, dibandingkan tingkah laku ayah terkait karir. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, penting bagi orangtua untuk menyediakan dukungan bagi remaja agar memiliki adaptabilitas karir yang baik.

The research aims to get the correlation between parental career-related behavior and career adaptability among middle school adolescents. The participants of this research are the 9th grader middle school students in Indonesia, amounts 321 students. Parental career-related behavior was measured by measurement tools PCB (Parental Career-related Behavior) made by Dietrich and Kracke (2009). On the other hand, career adaptability measured by measurement tools Career Adaptability Scale made by Indianti (2015).
The results indicate that father support (r=0.291, p<0.01), mother support (r=0.282, p<0.01), and father interference (r=0.158, p<0.01) correlate positively and significant with career adaptability. There are negative and significant relationship between lack of engagement (father: r=0.282, p<0.01; mother: r=0.281, p<0.01) and career adaptability. Results also showed that mother career-related behavior gives more contributions to career adaptability that father career-related behavior. Based on this results, its important for parent serve the support to their adolescents to have a good career adaptability."

"Dalam beberapa tahun terakhir, banyak mahasiswa akhir yang belum dapat melalui transisi menuju dunia karier dengan sukses. Pengembangan secara merata pada komponen adaptabilitas karier yang terdiri dari kepedulian karier, pengendalian karier, keingintahuan karier, dan keyakinan karier dapat membantu mahasiswa akhir menyesuaikan diri saat dihadapkan situasi atau tugas sulit pada masa transisi menuju dunia karier. Kegiatan MSIB dan Magang Mandiri dapat menjadi wadah pengembangan keempat komponen adaptabilitas karier secara merata. Kedua jenis magang tersebut memiliki perbedaan dalam proses pendaftaran dan seleksi yang dapat menjadi penentu tingkat keempat komponen adaptabilitas karier. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian noneksperimental komparatif dengan tujuan melihat perbedaan keempat komponen adaptabilitas karier antara mahasiswa akhir yang mengikuti kegiatan magang dengan nonmagang serta perbedaan keempat komponen adaptabilitas karier antara mahasiswa akhir yang mengikuti kegiatan MSIB dan Magang Mandiri. Hasil penelitian menemukan terdapat perbedaan tingkat adaptabilitas karier yang signifikan di keempat komponen antara mahasiswa akhir yang mengikuti kegiatan magang dengan nonmagang. Akan tetapi, penelitian ini tidak menemukan perbedaan tingkat adaptabilitas karier yang signifikan di keempat komponen antara mahasiswa akhir yang mengikuti kegiatan MSIB dan Magang Mandiri. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, kedua jenis kegiatan magang pada program MBKM dinilai berhasil sebagai langkah persiapan karier mahasiswa.

In recent years, many final year undergraduate students have struggled for school to work transition. Equitable development level of career adaptability components, including career concern, career control, career curiosity and career confidence could assist these students in adjusting to challenging situations during their career transition. MSIB and Magang Mandiri serve as platform for fostering balanced development of these adaptability components. These activities have differences in the registration and selection process which can determine the level of the four components of career adaptability. This research method uses a non experimental comparative research design with the aim for looking differences in the four components of career adaptability between final year undergraduate students who have internships experience at MBKM program and those who have not. However, no significant differences were found in the career adaptability components between students participating in MSIB and Magang Mandiri activities. Based on these results, both types of internship activities within the MBKM program are found as a way for successful career preparation for final year undergraduate students."

"Siswa kelas 10 SMA dituntut untuk memilih jurusan yang pertama kali. Jika siswa salah memilih, dampaknya kedepannya siswa dapat merasa salah jurusan yang akhirnya dapat mengganggu produktifitas dan kesehatan mental. Dengan demikian, memilih pilihan karier pertama bagi siswa adalah hal yang sulit. Siswa membutuhkan dukungan sosial pihak eksternal untuk dapat mengatasi masalah kesulitan pengambilan keputusan karier dan adaptabilitas karier. Salah bentuk dukungan sosial yang dapat diberikan adalah intervensi karier dengan pendekatan pemrosesan informasi kognitif dan siklus belajar Kolb. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan pengembangan intervensi karier STAR terhadap penurunan kesulitan pengambilan keputusan karier dan peningkatan adaptabilitas karier siswa kelas 10 SMA. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian cross-sectional dengan metode kuantitatif quasi-eksperimen two group pre-test-post-test design. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan kriteria subjek siswa SMA kelas 10 dan berada pada rentang usia 14-17 tahun. Peneliti mendapatkan 110 sampel dari dua sekolah berbeda. Analisis data menggunakan Paired Sample T-Test, MANOVA, dan Regresi Linear. Hasil penelitian ini adalah intervensi karier STAR dapat menurunkan kesulitan pengambilan keputusan karier dan meningkatkan adaptabilitas karier secara konsisten pada siswa kelas 10 SMA. Selain itu, setelah pemberian intervensi karier STAR, ditemukan kesulitan pengambilan keputusan karier memprediksi adaptabilitas karier. Intervensi karier STAR dalam penelitian ini dapat diterapkan oleh psikolog sekolah / guru BK / konselor pada umumnya.
..... Grade 10 high school students are required to choose their first major. If students make the wrong choice, in the future students may feel that they are in the wrong major which can ultimately interfere with productivity and mental health. Thus, choosing the first career choice for students is a difficult matter. Students need social support from external parties to be able to overcome difficulties in career decision making and career adaptability. One form of social support that can be provided is a career intervention with the cognitive information processing approach and the Kolb learning cycle. This study aims to prove the development of the STAR career intervention to reduce the difficulty of making career decisions and increase the career adaptability of 10th grade students of senior high school. This research is a cross-sectional study with a quasi-experimental quantitative method with a two group pre-test-post-test design. Sampling used a purposive sampling technique with the subject criteria being high school students in grade 10 and being in the age range of 14-17 years. Researchers got 110 samples from two different schools. Data analysis using Paired Sample T-Test, MANOVA, and Linear Regression. The results of this study are that the STAR career intervention can reduce the difficulty of making career decisions and increase career adaptability consistently in 10th grade high school students. In addition, after giving the STAR career intervention, career decision making difficulties can predict career adaptability. The STAR career intervention in this study can be applied by school psychologists / counseling teachers / counselors in general."

"Pesatnya pertumbuhan perusahaan rintisan berbasis digital di Indonesia tidak lepas dari peran sumber daya manusianya. Mengingat kondisi perusahaan yang masih tergolong baru dan masih berjuang untuk tetap eksis, perusahaan perlu untuk mengoptimalkan peran SDM nya seefektif mungkin. Sehingga penting halnya bagi perusahaan rintisan berbasis digital untuk menjaga karyawannya tetap engage pada pekerjaannya, serta meminimalisir intensi karyawan untuk keluar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh career adaptability dan leader member exchange (LMX) terhadap work engagement dan turnover intention, serta melihat peran mediasi Job insecurity pada pengaruh antar variabel tersebut. Sebanyak 312 responden yang merupakan karyawan aktif di perusahaan rintisan berbasis digital di Indonesia berhasil dikumpulkan datanya dan di olah dengan structural equation modelling (SEM). Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa work engagement dipengaruhi secara positif oleh career adaptability dan LMX, serta dipengaruhi secara negatif oleh job insecurity. Turnover intention dipengaruhi secara negatif oleh LMX dan secara positif oleh job insecurity. Job insecurity dipengaruhi oleh career adaptability dan LMX. Serta terbuktinnya peran mediasi job insecurity pada pengaruh career adaptability dan LMX terhadap work engagement dan turnover intention.

The rapid growth of digital startups in Indonesia cannot be separated from the role of human resources. Given the condition of the company which is still relatively new and still struggling to exist, the company needs to optimize its HR role as effectively as possible. So it is important for digital startup companies to keep their employees engaged in their work, and to minimize employee intention to leave. This study aims to analyze the effect of career adaptability and leader member exchange (LMX) on work engagement and turnover intention, and to see the mediating role of Job insecurity on the influence between these variables. 312 respondents who are active employees of digital startups in Indonesia have successfully collected their data and processed them with structural equation modeling (SEM). The results revealed that work engagement is positively influenced by career adaptability and LMX, as well as negatively influenced by job insecurity. Turnover intention is affected negatively by LMX and positively by job insecurity. Job insecurity is influenced by career adaptability and LMX. And the mediation role of job insecurity on the influence of career adaptability and LMX on work engagement and turnover intention is proven in this study."

"Penerapan kebijakan Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) di perguruan tinggi saat ini menjadi upaya yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah untuk meningkatkan kualitas lulusan di Indonesia. Hanya saja, program MBKM tersebut dapat memberikan tantangan dan kesulitan tersendiri bagi mahasiswa selama mereka menjalaninya. Mahasiswa dinilai memerlukan kemampuan adaptabilitas karier untuk mampu menjalani salah satu tugas perkembangan karier tersebut dengan optimal. Dukungan sosial dan psychological capital dinilai menjadi faktor yang berperan penting dalam mengembangkan kemampuan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran psychological capital dalam memediasi hubungan antara dukungan sosial dan adaptabilitas karier pada mahasiswa yang sedang menjalani program MBKM. Partisipan penelitian terdiri atas 149 orang mahasiswa Indonesia yang sedang menjalani program MBKM. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Career Adapt-Abilities Scale International Form (CAAS-IF), Child and Adolescent Social Support Scale (CASSS), dan Academic Psychological Capital Questionnaire (A-PCQ) yang sudah diadaptasi dan diterjemahkan ke dalam bahasa Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa psychological capital memediasi secara penuh hubungan antara dukungan sosial dan adaptabilitas karier mahasiswa yang menjalani program MBKM. Semakin tinggi dukungan sosial yang diperoleh mahasiswa, maka akan semakin meningkatkan modal psikologis pada dirinya, yang pada akhirnya akan semakin meningkatkan kemampuan adaptabilitas kariernya.

The implementation of the Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program in higher education institutions aimed to improve the quality of future graduates in this fourth industrial revolution era. However, the program as students’ new career development tasks provides new challenges and difficulties during their participation. To keep optimizing their performance in such conditions, students need career adaptability. Social support and psychological capital are allegedly the important factors that contribute to enhancing students’ career adaptability. This study aimed to investigate the mediating role of psychological capital in the relationship between social support and career adaptability among students. This study used the Indonesian version of the Career Adapt-Abilities Scale International Form (CAAS-IF), Child and Adolescent Social Support Scale (CASSS), and Academic Psychological Capital Questionnaire (A-PCQ). The results from 149 college students across Indonesia that are participating in MBKM Program indicated that psychological capital fully mediated the relationship between social support and career adaptability. The more social support that students receive from their surroundings, the more it boosts their psychological capital, which in turn enhances their career adaptability during the MBKM program."

"Dengan adanya perubahan Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan 2013 mengenai penjurusan pada saat kelas satu sekolah menengah akhir, siswa kelas 9 sekolah menengah pertama diharapkan sudah memiliki gambaran terkait pilihan jurusan di sekolah menengah pertama. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan adaptabilitas karir yang baik pada siswa kelas 9 sekolah menengah pertama.Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat hubungan antara ekspektasisiswa SMP kelas 9 terhadap peran kakek-nenek dan adaptabilitas karier.
Peneliti melakukan pengambilan data kepada 66 siswa SMP kelas 9 di Jakarta dan Depok. Alat ukur yang digunakan untuk adaptabilitas karier adalah Career Adapt-Ability Scale International-Form CAAS-IF dari Savickas dan Porfeli 2012, sedangkan alat ukur peran kakek-nenek adalah Expectation of Grandparent Scale dari McFadden 2001.
Dari hasil penelitian, ditemukan hubungan positif dan signifikan antara ekspektasi siswa SMP kelas 9 terhadap peran kakek-nenek dan adaptabilitas karier r = 0,360, p < 0,05 . Hubungan tersebut menjelaskan semakin besar ekspektasi siswa SMP kelas 9 terhadap peran kakek-nenek, semakin baik pula adaptabilitas karier siswa. Hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan untuk mengedukasi orangtua bahwa peran kakek-nenek penting untuk adaptabilitas karier anak.

The changing of government policy based on Ministry of National Education 2013 about high school major for 10th grade high school students, 9th grade junior high school students are expected to have an overview of major selection in high school level. Thus, a good career adaptability is required for those students. This study was conducted to see the relationship between the expectations of 9th grade of junior high school students on the role of grandparents and career adaptability.
The researcher conducted data collection for 66 students in 9th grade of junior high school students from Jakarta and Depok. The measuring tool used for career adaptability is the Career Adapt Ability Scale International Form CAAS IF from Savickas and Porfeli 2012 , while the grandparent 39 s measuring instrument is the Expectation of Grandparent Scale from McFadden 2001.

"Persaingan era globalisasi saat ini menuntut individu lebih adaptif dalam menjalani karier. Adaptabilitas karier merupakan salah satu konstruk terkait psikologi karier yang berfokus untuk membantu individu mengawasi perkembangan karier semasa hidupnya. Asumsi yang ditegakkan adalah untuk mempunyai adaptabilitas karier, mahasiswa perlu memiliki bayangan yang jelas, spesifik dan mudah dibayangkan, diwakilkan oleh future work self. Selanjutnya, efikasi diri dalam keputusan karier diduga dapat memediasi hubungan future work self terhadap adaptabilitas karier. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 263 orang mahasiswa tingkat akhir yang minimal berada di semester tujuh perguruan tinggi.
Dalam penelitian ini, adaptabilitas karier diukur dengan Career Adapt-abilities Scale-International Form (CAAS-IF), future work self diukur dengan Future Work Self Saliance (FWSS) dan efikasi diri dalam keputusan karier diukur dengan Career Decision Self-Efficacy–Short Form (CDSE-SF). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa future work self memiliki hubungan yang kuat dengan adaptabilitas karier, serta hubungan ini merupakan mediasi parsial melalui efikasi diri dalam keputusan karier. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan beberapa manfaat bagi pusat pengembangan karier di perguruan tinggi.

Competition in the current era of globalization requires individuals to be more adaptive in their careers. Career adaptability is one of the constructs related to career psychology that focuses on helping individuals monitor career development during their lifetime. The assumption is to have a career adaptability, college students need to have clear, specific and easy to imagine images, represented by future work self. Furthermore, self-efficacy in career decisions is thought to mediated future work self relations with career adaptability. This research was conducted on 263 final years college students who were at least in the seventh semester of the university.
In this research, career adaptability was measured by Career Adapt-abilities Scale-International Form (CAAS-IF), future work self was measured by Future Work Self Saliance (FWSS), and career decision self-efficacy was measured by Career Decision Self-Efficacy–Short Form (CDSE-SF). The results showed that future work self has a strong relationship with career adaptability, and this relationship is a partial mediation through self-efficacy in career decisions. The results of this study give some benefits for career development center in university.

"Tingkat turnover pegawai di industri perbankan Indonesia cukup tinggi yaitu di atas tingkat ideal 10%, dengan tingkat kenaikan gaji yang rendah dibandingkan industri lainnya. Survei penelitian sebelumnya menunjukkan turnover intention dipengaruhi oleh peluang pertumbuhan karir yang dapat diakomodasi oleh perencanaan karir perspektif masa depan pekerjaan (OFTP) yang dapat mempengaruhi tindakan pribadi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara faktor yang relevan dalam perencanaan karir sesuai teori konstruksi karir yaitu adaptabilitas karir dan OFTP serta implikasinya terhadap turnover intention. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitas Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) untuk menguji hipotesis penelitian. Total sampel penelitian adalah 206 karyawan tetap di sektor perbankan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa adaptabilitas karir mempengaruhi OFTP secara positif signifikan, dan secara tidak langsung terhadap perencanaan karir dengan OFTP sebagai mediator. OFTP ditemukan berpengaruh positif dan signikan terhadap perencanaan karir, dan negatif signifikan terhadap turnover intention. Perencanaan karir juga berpengaruh secara langsung dan merupakan mediator antara OFTP dengan turnover intention secara negatif signifikan.

Employee turnover rate in Indonesia banking sector is quite high which above the ideal level of 10% and the rate of salary increase is the lowest compared to other sectors. Previous surveys and research showed turnover intention are affected by career growth opportunity which can be accommodated by career planning and Occupational Future Times Perspective (OFTP) which can affect personal actions. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between career planning’s relevant factor such as career adaptability and OFTP based on career construction theory to the career planning itself and the implication towards turnover intention. This study uses quantity approach and Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) to test the study hypotheses. The survey questionnaire was gathered from 206 full-time employees in the banking sector. The results showed that career adaptability affects OFTP positively and significantly, and indirectly on career planning with OFTP mediation. OFTP had a significant positive effect on career planning, and a significant negative effect on turnover intention. Career planning was also found to have a significant negative effect directly and also a mediator between OFTP and turnover intention."
