Benchmarking is one of the most effective means to develop and learn from successful cases. "Globalisasi ekonomi merupakan titik kritis bagi perkembangan ekonomi politik internasional. Makalah ini mengkaji gambaran besar globalisasi ekonomi pada kebijakan negara dalam negeri, yang dalam hal ini adalah pembangunan infrastruktur maritim di era Presiden Joko Widodo (2014-2019). Menggunakan konsep kapasitas negara sebagai pisau analisis, makalah ini mengeksplorasi alasan baru untuk memprioritaskan pembangunan infrastruktur kelautan Indonesia yang dilaksanakan secara masif di bawah pemerintahan Joko Widodo. Di dalam Dalam tulisan ini, globalisasi ekonomi dilihat melalui kemampuan negara untuk menyediakan fasilitas dasar dalam pembangunan infrastruktur maritim dengan tujuan: efisiensi dan inovasi dalam menciptakan tingkat persaingan yang berkelanjutan daya saing) bagi pertumbuhan ekonomi Indonesia. Ketiga metode ini digunakan untuk memahami sudut pandang dalam artikel ilmiah, analisis kebijakan, dan situasi strategis kasus. Temuan dalam penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa [1] realisasi pembangunan infrastruktur maritim di Indonesia masih banyak yang dalam tahap perencanaan sehingga menyebabkan biaya tidak turun logistik antara wilayah barat dan timur Indonesia secara signifikan, [2] ada perbedaan retorika pemerintah untuk mencapai pembangunan infrastruktur maritim dengan implementasinya, [3] pembangunan infrastruktur maritim di Indonesia masih minim pendanaan asing.

Economic globalization is a critical point for the development of international political economy. This paper examines the big picture of economic globalization in domestic state policies, which in this case is the development of maritime infrastructure in the era of President Joko Widodo (2014-2019). Using the concept of state capacity as an analytical knife, this paper explores new reasons for prioritizing the massive development of Indonesia's marine infrastructure under the Joko Widodo administration. In this paper, economic globalization is seen through the ability of the state to provide basic facilities in maritime infrastructure development with the aim of: efficiency and innovation in creating a sustainable level of competition (competitiveness) for Indonesia's economic growth. Moreover, the context of economic globalization is also reviewed through regional dynamics that produce a narrative of maritime power and the presence of foreign investment as a driver of infrastructure development. Using a qualitative methodology, this research uses three methods: data collection and analysis, namely content analysis, literature study, and internal interviews. These three methods are used to understand the point of view in scientific articles, policy analysis, and case strategic situations. The findings in this study explain that [1] the realization of maritime infrastructure development in Indonesia is still in the planning stage, causing logistics costs to not decrease significantly between the western and eastern regions of Indonesia, [2] there are differences in the government's rhetoric to achieve maritime infrastructure development with its implementation. , [3] the development of maritime infrastructure in Indonesia is still minimal in foreign funding."
