"Penelitian ini menggunakan novel Layangan Putus karya Mommy ASF yang telah dialihwahanakan atau yang mengalami ekranisasi menjadi film Layangan Putus karya Benni Setiawan. Tujuan penelitian ini mengungkapkan terjadinya proses alih wahana yang memaksa terjadinya penciutan, penambahan, dan variasi dari novel ke film. Berdasarkan analisis terhadap persamaan dan perbedaan antara novel Layangan Putus karya Mommy ASF dan film serial Layangan Putus karya Benni Setiawan, penelitian ini menelusuri lebih jauh berbagai alasan dan pertimbangan terjadinya persamaan dan perbedaan itu. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif serta menguraikan alasan-alasan terjadinya perubahan akibat alih wahana dari novel Layangan Putus karya Mommy ASF dan film serial Layangan Putus karya Benni Setiawan. Pengumpulan data dan analisis informasi berdasarkan teks yang terdapat dalam novel Layangan Putus, foto, atau gambar, video, rekaman suara dan hasil analisis ditemukan adanya penciutan, karena tidak mungkin semua novel ditambahkan dalam film, ada beberapa perkembangan, variasi agar keseluruhan film menjadi lebih menarik, itu semua tidak terlepas dari permasalahan komersial.

This research uses the novel Layangan Putus by Mommy ASF which has been translated or which has been ecranized into the film Layangan Putus by Benni Setiawan. The purpose of this study is to reveal the process of transfer of rides that forces the occurrence of reductions, additions, and variations from novel to film. Based on the analysis of the similarities and differences between the novel Layangan Putus by Mommy ASF and the film series Layangan Putus by Benni Setiawan, this study goes further than the various reasons and considerations for the occurrence of these similarities and differences. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method and describes the reasons for the changes as a result of the vehicle from the novel Layangan Putus by Mommy ASF and the film series Layangan Putus by Benni Setiawan. Data collection and analysis of information based on the text contained in the novel Layangan Putus, photos, or pictures, videos, sound recordings and others. the results of the analysis found that there was a shrinkage, because it was impossible for all novels to be added to the film, there were several developments, variations to make the whole film more interesting, it was all inseparable from commercial problems."

"Geez and Ann merupakan novel pertama karya Rintik Sedu. Novel ini menjadi populer sehingga Rizki Balki mengadaptasinya menjadi sebuah film. Alih wahana dari Geez and Ann diteliti menggunakan kajian ekranisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan perubahan-perubahan dan aspek yang memengaruhinya dalam ekranisasi novel Geez and Ann. Metode analisis penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif komparatif. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah kajian pustaka dan observasi dengan teknik catat serta sumber datanya ialah novel Geez and Ann dan film Geez and Ann. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa dalam film terdapat penambahan unsur-unsur cerita yang cukup mencolok, salah satunya adalah adanya penambahan pada unsur tokoh dan penokohan. Selain itu, ada pengurangan atau penciutan yang terjadi pada film. Hal ini disebabkan oleh berbagai faktor, salah satunya adalah durasi. Kemudian, terdapat juga perubahan bervariasi dalam film yang dimunculkan melalui dialog, eksekusi adegan, modifikasi latar, dan lain sebagainya.

Geez and Ann is Rintik Sedu's first novel. This novel became so popular that it attracted Rizki Balki to adapt this novel into a film. Ecranization of Geez and Ann was investigated using an ecranization study. This study aims to describe the changes and aspects that affect them in the ecranization of the novel Geez and Ann. The analytical method of this research uses a comparative descriptive method. The data collection method used is literature and observation with note-taking techniques. Also, used the data source of the novel Geez and Ann and the film Geez and Ann. The results of the study conclude that in the film there are additional story elements that are quite striking, one of them is the addition of character and characterization elements. In addition, there is a reduction or shrinkage that occurs in the film. It is caused by various factors, one of which is duration. Then, there are also various forms of change in the film that appear through dialogue, scene execution, background modification and so on."

"ABSTRAKPerfilman Indonesia dalam satu dekade terakhir ini kembali mengalami masa terpopulernya. Salah satu genre yang mendominasi daftar film terlaris adalah film komedi. Comic 8 merupakan salah satu film franchise bergenre komedi terlaris di Indonesia. Salah satu hal menarik dalam film ini adalah pola penggambaran perempuan yang stereotip yaitu dengan tubuh yang seksi dan pola tutur bahasa yang cenderung membungkam eksistensi perempuan dalam perspektif kesamaan gender. Pola penggambaran dan bahasa tutur Film Comic 8 yang menjadikan perempuan sebagai obyek tersebut, dianalisis menggunakan teori The Male Gaze. Teori ini menunjukkan bahwa perempuan disubordinasikan dan dijadikan objek seksual oleh standar perspektif patriarkal dalam tataran psikoanalitik khususnya dalam film Mulvey, 1989 . Melalui penggunaan ldquo;Muted Group theory rdquo; kemudian akan menjelaskan pola bahasa dan narasi yang membungkam perempuan, hal itu karena bahasa yang digunakan adalah bahasa yang dibuat oleh masyarakat patriarkal.

ABSTRACTThe Indonesian film world has been experiencing its most popular time in the last decade. One of the dominating genre of the popular list is comedy, and Comic 8 is one movie that starts out the most successful comedy film franchise in Indonesia. What really worth noting in this movie is the use of stereotypical imagery of women which tends to silence the existence of women, seen through the lens of gender equality. The objectifying image of women is analyzed with The Male Gaze theory in which the theory points out that women are being put in a subordinate position and as a sexual object to satisfy the visuals of men, in the psychoanalytic realm, specifically in films Mulvey, 1989 . The Muted Group theory then explains the sexist language and narrative made by patriarchal society, which leads to the silencing of women West and Turner, 2010 . "

"Perkembangan film genre horor hingga kini terus terjadi khususnya pada segi penceritaan yang memadukannya dengan elemen genre lain, serta dengan dikelompokkannya genre horor ke dalam beberapa subgenre. Film psychological horror-thriller asal Austria Goodnight Mommy dapat memberikan sensasi horor yang berbeda melalui unsur penceritaannya yang didasari oleh masalah kepribadian tokoh. Masalah kepribadian dialami oleh tokoh utama Elias sebagai akibat dari tingkat kecemasan yang tinggi terhadap kejadian traumatis yang sebelumnya telah dilaluinya. Penelitian ini membahas mengenai proses hilangnya figur ibu bagi tokoh Elias di dalam film Goodnight Mommy. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan studi pustaka. Analisis film dilakukan melalui pendekatan psikoanalisa Sigmund Freud, yang membahas mengenai struktur kepribadian, mekanisme pertahanan, dan mimpi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa proses hilangnya figur ibu yang menjadi ancaman besar bagi tokoh Elias dipicu secara bertahap oleh perubahan struktur kepribadian, mekanisme pertahanan, mimpi, serta pandangan dan prasangka buruk Elias terhadap ibu.

The development of the horror genre film continues to occur today, especially in terms of storytelling that combines it with other genre elements, and also by grouping the horror genre into several subgenres. The Austrian psychological horror-thriller film Goodnight Mommy can give different sensations through its storytelling that based on personality problem of the character. The main character, Elias, experienced personality problem as a result of high level anxiety over the traumatic event that he had previously been through. This study discusses the disappearance process of mother figure for Elias in Goodnight Mommy. The research method used is qualitative, with analysis descriptive approach. Film analysis is done through Sigmund Freud`s psychoanalysis approach, which discussed about structure of personality, defense mechanism, and dream. The result shows that the disappearance process of mother figure, which is a major threat for Elias, is triggered gradually by the changes of structure of personality, defense mechanism, dream, and Elias` bad perception and prejudice towards mother."

This final scientific paper simply depicts the process of making a short film titled ‘Lalu’ through the perspective of ‘I’. The process includes pre-production until distribution and exhibition. My initial idea, through the process underwent additions, subtractions, and/or substitutions. My experience brought me to the conclusion that the process of making a film does not only involve myself as a creator but also, the materials and the collaborators. The elements are going to correspond thus make a transformation for the creation itself. Which can be different from the initial idea. ‘I’ in this narration are going to be positioned as the director of the short film ‘Lalu’. However, in several parts, would become Screenplay writer and Editor."

"Trailer film horor Indonesia kurang mendapatkan perhatian sebagai bahan penelitian. Padahal, trailer merupakan sarana beriklan paling komprehensif dari sebuah film, di mana berbagai hal penting disajikan di dalamnya. Studi ini berupaya menguraikan bagaimana ketakutan dibangun di dalam trailer film horor Indonesia dan membandingkan cara membangun narasi dalam trailer tersebut. Riset analisis konten secara kualitatif dilakukan terhadap 10 trailer dari film yang mampu meraih minimal 1 juta penonton dari tahun 2017 hingga tahun 2018. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa ketakutan dibangun melalui efek suara dan cahaya dengan narasi yang dibangun dalam tiga babak: pengenalan, konflik, dan klimaks. Ada metafora ‘pintu’ yang dipakai untuk memperlihatkan pemisahan dunia manusia dan dunia ‘lain’. Narasi memasukkan unsur legenda urban, mitos, kepercayaan masyarakat setempat. Daya tarik bintang dalam trailer film juga tidak hanya artis pemeran utama, namun bisa juga sutradara film tersebut.

Indonesian horror movie trailers get less attention for research. However, the trailer is the most comprehensive ad for a movie, in which crucial details are presented. The present study aims to understand how fear is instilled in Indonesian horror movie trailers and compare the ways a narrative is presented in each of them. This qualitative content analysis research examines ten trailers advertising ten Indonesian horror movies that reached one million viewers count from 2017 up to 2018. The research found that fear is built up within three stages; introduction, conflict, and climax. There is a ‘door’ metaphor used to show the separation of human world and the world of ‘others’. The narrative inserts urban legend, myths, and local beliefs. Star power in the movie trailers not only belongs to the actors/actresses, but also to the directors of the movie."

"Proses adaptasi teks dongeng menjadi film semakin banyak dilakukan oleh produser film Hollywood. Salah satunya ialah film Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters (2013) produksi Paramount Pictures yang diadaptasi dari dongeng Grimm bersaudara. Penelitian ini membahas imaji Hollywood yang direpresentasikan dalam film Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters (2013). Dengan metode kualitatif berupa deskriptif analisis, penelitian ini berfokus pada bagaimana imaji Hollywood dikemas dalam film. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa adanya imaji-imaji baru yang berbeda dengan versi aslinya disebabkan karena adanya pengembangan cerita serta perubahan motif yang dilakukan oleh tim produksi. Imaji Hollywood dalam film ini digambarkan melalui penokohan, alur dan cerita, dialog antar tokoh serta ekspresi yang dikemas berbeda dari versi dongeng Grimm. Hal ini berkaitan dengan tujuan Hollywood sebagai industri global yang ingin menciptakan suatu hiburan massa yang menjangkau pasar internasional.

The adaptation of fairy-tale texts into films is increasingly being carried out by Hollywood film producers. The film Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters (2013) is produced by Paramount Pictures which was adapted from the fairy tale of the Brothers Grimm Hansel und Gretel. This study discusses Hollywood images represented in the film Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters (2013). With qualitative methods in the form of descriptive analysis, this study focuses on how Hollywood images are packaged in films. The results of the study show new images that are different from the original version. The result is due to the development of stories and changes in motives carried out by the production team. Hollywood images in this film are portrayed through characterizations, lines and stories, dialogues between characters and expressions that are packaged differently from the fairytale version of Grimm. The result also show how Hollywood as a global industry create a mass entertainment that reaches international markets."
