"Mahasiswa yang baru lulus (freshgraduates) merasa kesulitan untuk mendapatkan pekerjaan yang disebabkan oleh kesenjangan ekspektasi antara perusahaan dengan kompetensi yang dimiliki mahasiswa freshgraduate, terutama pada masa transisi dari dunia perkuliahan ke dunia kerja. Mahasiswa dianggap tidak siap dan kurang memiliki kepercayaan diri, serta kurang mengeksplorasi kariernya sebelum melalui masa transisi (Nghia, 2018). Keberhasilan mahasiswa pada masa transisi akan menentukan kesuksesannya dalam berkarier di masa depan (Koen et al., 2012). Peneliti mengajukan bahwa permasalahan ini dapat diatasi dengan memiliki adaptabilitas karier yang baik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasional (N = 466) dengan tujuan melihat bagaimana dukungan sosial dapat meningkatkan adaptabilitas karier melalui adversity quotient pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir yang berkuliah di daerah Jabodetabek. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dukungan sosial memprediksi adaptabilitas karier. Adversity quotient terbukti memediasi sebagian hubungan kedua variabel tersebut dengan ditemukannya signifikansi pada indirect effect pada analisis mediasi.

Many freshgraduates experience difficulties in obtaining jobs right after graduating due to the existence of gap between the expectation of employer and the skills possessed by freshgraduates. This condition frequently occurs in the transition period to working world. These freshgraduates are considered lacking in confidence, readiness, and self exploration to enter the working world (Nghia, 2018). The quality of getting through the transition period would determine future career success of freshgraduates (Koen et al., 2012). This research proposes that this issue can be tackled by possessing career adaptability. This correlational research (N = 466) aims to discover how social support would play a role in elevating career adaptability through adversity quotient of final year student in Jabodetabek area. Results showed that social support predicted career adaptability. Furthermore, adversity quotient also played a role in mediating the relationship of both variables. This is proved by the significance of indirect effect in mediation analysis."

"Dunia pekerjaan yang saat ini terus berubah menuntut individu yang berada dalam masa transisi karier memiliki sumber daya untuk beradaptasi dalam dunia pekerjaan, terlebih pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Meski telah banyak ditemukan berpengaruh positif terhadap adaptabilitas karier, masih terdapat inkonsistensi hubungan antara dukungan sosial terhadap adaptabilitas karier. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat peran ketiga dimensi identitas vokasional, sebagai faktor internal individu, dalam memediasi hubungan antara dukungan sosial dan adaptabilitas karier. Partisipan penelitian merupakan 466 mahasiswa tingkat akhir di perguruan tinggi mengisi kuesioner Career Adapt-Abilities Scale-Indonesian Form, Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support, dan Vocational Identity Status Assessment. Analisis mediasi dengan PROCESS menunjukkan dukungan sosial memiliki hubungan signifikan dengan adaptabilitas karier (b = 0,40, t(466) = 3,16, p < 0,01). Analisis mediasi menunjukkan bahwa dua dari tiga dimensi identitas vokasional memediasi secara sebagian hubungan antara dukungan sosial dan adaptabilitas karier pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir, yakni dimensi career exploration (b = 0,19, 95% CI = [0,13-0,26]) dan dimensi career commitment (b = 0,18, 95% CI = [0,13-0,25]). Di sisi lain, tidak ditemukan peran mediasi dari dimensi career reconsideration dari identitas vokasional.

The everchanging world of work nowadays requires individuals who are in career transition period to have the resources to adapt, especially for final year students. Although many studies have found its positive role, there are still contradictory and inconsistent findings of the relationship between social support and career adaptability. This study was aimed to see the role of the three vocational identity dimensions, as individual internal factors, in mediating the relationship between social support and career adaptability. Participants in this study were 466 final year university students who filled questionnaires consisting of Career Adapt-Abilities Scale-Indonesian Form, Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support, dan Vocational Identity Status Assessment. Mediation analysis using PROCESS confirmed that social support had a positive and significant relationship with career adaptability (b = 0,40, t(466) = 3,16, p < 0,01). Mediation analysis revealed that two of the three dimensions of vocational identity played a mediating role in the relationship of social support and career adaptability, namely career exploration (b = 0,19, 95% CI = [0,13-0,26]) and career commitment (b = 0,18, 95% CI = [0,13-0,25]). However, mediating role of career reconsideration dimension were not proven in this study."

"Penelitian terkait sumbangan relatif faktor-faktor sumberdaya personal dan sumberdaya sosial pada self-perceived employability penting dilakukan dan masih sangat terbatas. Menggunakan kerangka conservation of resource (COR) theory, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sumbangan relatif faktor sumberdaya personal, yaitu career selfmanagement (CSM), dan faktor sumberdaya sosial, yaitu dukungan sosial, pada selfperceived employability. Partisipan yang terlibat pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa tingkat akhir (N = 409) di beberapa perguruan tinggi di Jabodetabek. Seluruh data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis Multiple Linear Regression. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dukungan sosial memprediksi self-perceived employability secara positif dan signifikan. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa CSM memprediksi self-perceived employability secara positif dan signifikan. Terakhir, penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa CSM memberikan sumbangan varians unik sebesar 18% pada self-perceived employability setelah mengontrol sumbangan varians dari dukungan sosial. Hasil dan saran didiskusikan.

Research related to relative contributions of personal and social resources on selfperceived employability is important and still limited. Drawing on the conservation of resource theory, this study aims to investigate the relative contributions of one of the personal resources, namely career self-management, and one of the social resources, namely perceived social support, on self-perceived employability. Participants who were involved in this study are last year undergraduates (N = 409) from several universities in Greater Jakarta. Data were analyzed using Multiple Linear Regression. Results showed that perceived social support predicted self-perceived employability positively and significantly. Results also showed that career self-management predicted self-perceived employability positively and significantly. Finally, this study found that career selfmanagement accounted for an additional 18% of the variance in self-perceived employability over and above perceived social support. Further research implications are discussed."

"Pandemi COVID-19 telah mengurangi 2,3 juta peluang lapangan pekerjaan di Indonesia. Karir siswa SMK dinilai terancam karena lulusannya menyumbang tingkat pengangguran tertinggi di Indonesia, sehingga perlu ada usaha penyesuaian diri dalam merencanakan karir di masa depan. Penelitian ini menegakkan asumsi agar memiliki adaptabilitas karir yang kuat, siswa SMK perlu memiliki kepribadian proaktif yang mendorongnya untuk berinisiatif melakukan perubahan. Selanjutnya proses tersebut perlu dimediasi oleh kemampuan untuk bertahan menghadapi kesulitan (resiliensi). Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap 686 orang siswa SMK di Indonesia menggunakan alat ukur Career Adapt-Abilities Scale International Form (CAAS-IF) untuk adaptabilitas karir, Proactive Personality Scale Short Form (PPS-SF) untuk kepribadian proaktif dan The Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) untuk resiliensi. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa kepribadian proaktif memiliki hubungan yang positif dan signifikan dengan adaptabilitas karir (c’ = 0,384, SE = 0,087, p < 0,001). Diketahui pula adanya efek mediasi secara parsial oleh resiliensi (c’ = 0,384 < c = 1,283). Penelitian ini dapat menjadi acuan pentingnya memperkuat layanan Bimbingan Karir yang memberikan informasi karir diluar bidang yang tersedia di SMK

The COVID-19 pandemic has reduced 2.3 million jobs in Indonesia. Vocational school students' careers are considered threatened because their graduates contribute to the highest unemployment rate in Indonesia, so there needs to be an adjustment effort in planning future careers. This study strengthens the assumption that in order to have a strong career adaptability, vocational students need to have a proactive personality that encourages them to take the initiative to make changes. Furthermore, this process needs to be mediated by the ability to withstand adversity (resilience). This research was conducted on 686 vocational students in Indonesia using the Career Adapt-Abilities Scale International Form (CAAS-IF) for career adaptability, the Proactive Personality Scale Short Form (PPS-SF) for proactive personality and The Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) for resilience. The test results showed that proactive personality was positively and significantly related to career adaptation (c '= 0.384, SE = 0.087, p <0.001). "Program Magang dan Studi Independen Bersertifikat (MSIB) menjadi salah satu program Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) yang paling diminati mahasiswa karena dapat membekali keterampilan nyata dunia kerja dengan konversi maksimal 20 SKS. Selain memberikan manfaat bagi mahasiswa, program tersebut juga memberikan tantangan baru bagi mereka. Mahasiswa dinilai membutuhkan kemampuan adaptabilitas karier agar dapat mengoptimalkan performanya dalam program tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran core self-evaluation dan kepribadian proaktif dalam memediasi hubungan dukungan sosial dengan adaptabilitas karier pada mahasiswa yang sedang menjalani program MSIB. Partisipan penelitian ini terdiri atas 175 orang mahasiswa Indonesia yang sedang menjalani program MSIB. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Career Adapt-Abilities Sca le International Form (CAAS-IF), Child and Adolescent Social Support Scale (CASSS), Core Self-Evaluation Scale (CSES), dan Proactive Personality Scale (PPS), yang sudah diadaptasi dan diterjemahkan ke dalam Bahasa Indonesia serta dimodifikasi sesuai dengan konteks penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa core self-evaluation dan kepribadian proaktif memediasi secara parsial hubungan antara dukungan sosial dan adaptabilitas karier mahasiswa yang sedang menjalani program MSIB. Semakin tinggi dukungan sosial yang diperoleh mahasiswa, maka akan semakin meningkatkan core self-evaluation dan kepribadian proaktifnya, yang pada akhirnya akan meningkatkan kemampuan adaptabilitas kariernya. Di sisi lain, dukungan sosial sendiri dapat memengaruhi adaptabilitas karier secara langsung, yaitu semakin tinggi dukungan sosial yang diperoleh mahasiswa, maka akan semakin meningkatkan kemampuan adaptabilitas kariernya.

Magang dan Studi Independen Bersertifikat (MSIB) program is one of the Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) programs that most in demand by undergraduate students, because it can equip students with real skills needed by the world of work with maximum 20 credits conversion. Despite of the benefits, this program provides new challenges for them. Students are considered need career adaptability to optimize their performance in the program. In order to develop these abilities, social support, core self-evaluation, and proactive personality are factors that play an important role for students. This study aims to determine the role of core self-evaluation and proactive personality in establishing the relationship between social support and career adaptability in students who are undergoing the MSIB program. The participants of this study consisted of 175 Indonesian students who were undergoing the MSIB program. The instrument used in this study are the Career Adapt-Abilities Scale International Form (CAAS-IF), Child and Adolescent Social Support Scale (CASSS), Core Self-Evaluation Scale (CSES), and Proactive Personality Scale (PPS), which have been adapted and translated into Indonesian and modified according to the research context. The results showed that core self-evaluation and proactive personality partially mediated the relationship between social support and career adaptability of students undergoing the MSIB program. The higher the social support obtained by students, the more they will increase their core self-evaluation and proactive personality, which in turn will increase their career adaptability."

"Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran adaptabilitas karier dalam memediasi hubungan antara eksplorasi karier dan keyakinan terhadap keputusan karier, sehingga mampu mendukung mahasiswa sarjana tingkat akhir untuk memiliki keyakinan terhadap keputusan karier. Partisipan penelitian merupakan mahasiswa sarjana tingkat akhir yang menempuh studi di perguruan tinggi Indonesia dan sudah memiliki pengalaman eksplorasi karier dalam kurun waktu minimal enam bulan (n = 105). Metode analisis statistik yang digunakan adalah percentile bootstrapping method dengan perangkat lunak PROCESS milik Hayes. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa eksplorasi karier memiliki pengaruh tidak langsung pada keyakinan terhadap keputusan karier melalui adaptabilitas karier sebagai mediator (ab = 0,189, CI = 99%, LLCI = 0,045, ULCI = 0,432). Individu yang telah melaksanakan eksplorasi karier akan memiliki kemampuan adaptabilitas karier dan mereka yang mampu menghadapi tantangan karier dapat merasa yakin pada keputusan karier yang dibuat. Limitasi dari penelitian ini adalah tidak adanya penjelasan konteks spesifik dari eksplorasi karier yang dilakukan oleh partisipan. Hasil penelitian dapat digunakan oleh otoritas perguruan tinggi dan pihak terkait untuk mengimplementasikan kegiatan eksplorasi karier bagi para mahasiswanya sejak semester awal.

Fresh graduates in Indonesia often experience negative impacts of undecidedness toward their career decisions in the last year of their study, such as job hopping and unemployment. This study aims to explain the role of career adaptability in mediating the relationship between career exploration and career decidedness. The participants of this study are Indonesian university’s undergraduates who have engaged in career exploration for six months or more (n = 105). The statistical analysis method used in this study is the percentile bootstrapping method using PROCESS founded by Hayes. The result shows that career exploration has an indirect effect on career decidedness through career adaptability as the mediator (ab = 0,189, CI = 99%, LLCI = 0,045, ULCI = 0,432). Individuals who have done career exploration will have career adaptability, and those who can adapt to their career challenges will feel decided with the career decision they have made. The limitation of this study is the absence of explanation regarding the specific context of the participants' career explorations. This study can be used by higher education institution authorities and related parties to implement career exploration programs for their students that can increase the students’ career adaptability and career decidedness."

"Meningkatnya daya saing untuk mendapatkan pekerjaan yang terjadi saat ini, menjadi tantangan bagi mahasiswa tingkat akhir untuk mengembangkan karier. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meneliti peran perilaku eksplorasi karier dalam memediasi pengaruh dukungan teman terhadap adaptabilitas karier pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Responden penelitian berjumlah 538 mahasiswa tingkat akhir yang berada pada semester 6 hingga semester lebih dari 8, dan 69% berjenis kelamin perempuan. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode convenience sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan tiga alat ukur, yakni Career Related Peer Support (Zhang & Huang, 2018), Career Exploration Survey (Salim & Preston, 2019) dan Career Adapt-Ability Scale (Sulistiani, Suminar, & Hendriani, 2018). Pengolahan data dilakukan menggunakan simple mediation model 4 PROCESS for SPPS by Hayes (2013) menunjukkan perilaku eksplorasi karier memediasi hubungan antara dukungan teman dengan adaptabilitas karier pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Dibuktikan dengan nilai indirect effect sebesar (ab=0.21) dan signifikan tidak melewati angka nol (LLCI-ULCI=0.14-0.28). Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa perilaku eksplorasi karier memiliki peran dalam memediasi hubungan antara dukungan teman dengan adaptabilitas karier pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir. Implikasi dari penelitian ini dapat menjadi masukan bagi pihak bimbingan karier di perguruan tinggi untuk menyediakan berbagai aktivitas terkait perilaku eksplorasi karier agar mahasiswa tingkat akhir dapat memiliki adaptabilitas karier yang baik

The increasing competitiveness to get a job that is happening today is a challenge for final year students to develop a career. The purpose of this study was to examine the role of career exploration behavior in mediating the effect of peer support on career adaptability in final year students. Research respondents totaled 538 final year students who were in semester 6 to more than 8 semesters, and 69% were female. Sampling was done by convenience sampling method. This study uses three measuring tools, namely Career Related Peer Support (Zhang & Huang, 2018), Career Exploration Survey (Salim & Preston, 2019) and Career Adapt-Ability Scale (Sulistiani, Suminar, & Hendriani, 2018). Data processing was carried out using simple mediation model 4 PROCESS for SPPS by Hayes (2013) showing career exploration behavior mediating the relationship between peer support and career adaptability in final year students. It is proven by the indirect effect value of (ab=0.21) and significantly does not exceed zero (LLCI-ULCI=0.14-0.28). The results of this study explain that career exploration behavior has a role in mediating the relationship between peer support and career adaptability in final year students"

"Mahasiswa memiliki tuntutan untuk dapat bersaing di dunia kerja pada abad 21 ini. Mereka diharapkan menyadari kebutuhan memilih program studi dan pekerjaan, eksplorasi diri dan pekerjaan, serta membentuk identitas vokasi yang lebih spesifik. Apabila mahasiswa mampu meningkatkan mutunya dalam mempersiapkan karier, artinya mahasiswa memiliki adaptabilitas karier yang baik. Individu dengan adaptabilitas karier yang tinggi mampu mengelola dirinya untuk menghadapi tugas perkembangan karier, sementara individu dengan adaptabilitas karier yang rendah cenderung kesulitan menyesuaikan diri dan menyiapkan dirinya dalam dunia pekerjaan. Adaptabilitas karier sendiri dipengaruhi oleh faktor eksternal dan faktor internal. Keduanya perlu terlibat, terutama faktor internal yang menjembatani faktor eksternal dan adaptabilitas karier. Pada penelitian ini, peneliti mengajukan variabel Perceived Social Support sebagai faktor eksternal dan variabel Inisiatif Pertumbuhan Individu sebagai faktor internal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran Inisiatif Pertumbuhan Individu sebagai mediator dalam hubungan Perceived Social Support dan Adaptabilitas Karier. Terdapat 389 mahasiswa yang menjadi partisipan penelitian ini. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS), Personal Growth Initiative Scale-II (PGIS-II), dan Career Adapt-Abilites Scale (CAAS). Hasil analisis mediasi Hayes menunjukkan bahwa Inisiatif Pertumbuhan Individu memediasi secara penuh hubungan Perceived Social Support dan Adaptabilitas Karier (indirect effect: B=0.1094). Konselor maupun psikolog dapat menggunakan Inisiatif Pertumbuhan Individu sebagai indikator bahwa mahasiswa mampu membuat keputusannya sendiri.

Undergraduate have demands to be able to compete in the world of work in the 21st century. They are expected to be aware to choose study programs and jobs, self and career exploration, and form a more specific vocational identity. If undergraduate students are able to improve their quality in preparing their careers, it means that students have good career adaptability. Individuals with high career adaptability are able to manage themselves to face career development tasks, while individuals with low career adaptability tend to have difficulty adjusting and preparing themselves. Career adaptability itself is influenced by external and internal factors. Both need to be involved, especially internal factors that bridge external factors and career adaptability. In this study, the researcher proposed the variable Perceived Social Support as an external factor and the variable Personal Growth Initiative as an internal factor. This study aims to explore the role of Personal Growth Initiative as a mediator in the relationship between Perceived Social Support and Career Adaptability. There were 389 students who participated in this study. The measuring instruments used were the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS), Personal Growth Initiative Scale-II (PGIS-II), and Career Adapt-Abilites Scale (CAAS). The results of Hayes' mediation analysis show that Personal Growth Initiative fully mediates the relationship between Perceived Social Support and Career Adaptability (indirect effect: B=0.1094). Counselors and psychologists could use measure Personal Growth Initiative as an indicator that clients are capable of making their own decisions."

"Persaingan era globalisasi saat ini menuntut individu lebih adaptif dalam menjalani karier. Adaptabilitas karier merupakan salah satu konstruk terkait psikologi karier yang berfokus untuk membantu individu mengawasi perkembangan karier semasa hidupnya. Asumsi yang ditegakkan adalah untuk mempunyai adaptabilitas karier, mahasiswa perlu memiliki bayangan yang jelas, spesifik dan mudah dibayangkan, diwakilkan oleh future work self. Selanjutnya, efikasi diri dalam keputusan karier diduga dapat memediasi hubungan future work self terhadap adaptabilitas karier. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 263 orang mahasiswa tingkat akhir yang minimal berada di semester tujuh perguruan tinggi.
Dalam penelitian ini, adaptabilitas karier diukur dengan Career Adapt-abilities Scale-International Form (CAAS-IF), future work self diukur dengan Future Work Self Saliance (FWSS) dan efikasi diri dalam keputusan karier diukur dengan Career Decision Self-Efficacy–Short Form (CDSE-SF). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa future work self memiliki hubungan yang kuat dengan adaptabilitas karier, serta hubungan ini merupakan mediasi parsial melalui efikasi diri dalam keputusan karier. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan beberapa manfaat bagi pusat pengembangan karier di perguruan tinggi.

Competition in the current era of globalization requires individuals to be more adaptive in their careers. Career adaptability is one of the constructs related to career psychology that focuses on helping individuals monitor career development during their lifetime. The assumption is to have a career adaptability, college students need to have clear, specific and easy to imagine images, represented by future work self. Furthermore, self-efficacy in career decisions is thought to mediated future work self relations with career adaptability. This research was conducted on 263 final years college students who were at least in the seventh semester of the university.
In this research, career adaptability was measured by Career Adapt-abilities Scale-International Form (CAAS-IF), future work self was measured by Future Work Self Saliance (FWSS), and career decision self-efficacy was measured by Career Decision Self-Efficacy–Short Form (CDSE-SF). The results showed that future work self has a strong relationship with career adaptability, and this relationship is a partial mediation through self-efficacy in career decisions. The results of this study give some benefits for career development center in university.

Penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya telah membuktikan hubungan keterlibatan dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dan adaptabilitas karier tetapi menunjukkan hasil yang berbeda-beda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat peran efikasi diri pengambilan keputusan karier dalam memediasi hubungan keterlibatan dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dan adaptabilitas karier pada mahasiswa. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu, Career Adapt-Abilities Scale (CAAS), Extracurricular Involvement Inventory (EII), dan Career Decision Self-Efficacy Scale-Short Form (CDSE-SF) yang telah diadaptasi ke bahasa Indonesia. Uji statistik dari 116 partisipan menunjukkan bahwa efikasi diri pengambilan keputusan karier memediasi secara penuh hubungan antara keterlibatan dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dan adaptabilitas karier dengan direct effect tidak signifikan (c = 0,30, p,05) dan indirect effect signifikan (c = 1,28, p,05). Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa individu yang terlibat dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler akan memiliki efikasi diri pengambilan keputusan karier yang lebih tinggi yang mana individu dengan efikasi diri pengambilan keputusan karier yang tinggi akan lebih siap untuk menghadapi tugas, peran, dan tantangan kariernya.

ABSTRACT
Previous studies have proven the relationship of participation in extracurricular activities and career adaptability but show different results.This study aims to look at the role of career decision self-efficacy in mediating the relationship of participation in extracurricular activities and career adaptability among higher education student. The instruments that used in this study were Career Adaptation Capability Scale (CAAS), Inventory of Extracurricular Involvement (EII), and Career Scale Self-Efficacy Career Decisions-Short Forms (CDSE-SF) that have been adapted into Indonesian. The statistical test of 116 participants showed that career decision self-efficacy fully mediated the relationships between extracurricular activities involvement and career adaptations with insignificant direct effects (c = 0.30, p .05) and significant indirect effects (c = 1.28, p .05). These results indicate that individuals involved in extracurricular activities will have higher career decision self-efficacy where individuals with high career decision self-efficacy will be better prepared for the needs of their duties, roles, and career struggles.
