"Flight planning is one of the essential factors of the airline operation. The selection of routes will determine the economic value of the flight. However, some conditions may prevent the flight to use the most optimum route due to airspace restriction or weather condition. The research aims to develop a search engine program that uses dynamic flight parameters that considers fusion of System Wide Information Management (SWIM) data including weather data and NOTAM to produce the most optimum route in 2D flight planning. The Dijkstra’s pathfinding is implemented in Python programming language to produce the flight plan. The navigation data used is enroute airway in Indonesian FIR regions. The scenario used is a flight from Jakarta to Makassar with duration of 2 hours flight with considering the effect of restricted airspace and weather blockage during in-flight. The study also uses the optimum route produced by the algorithm to be compared with the possible alternate routes to define how optimum the route is. Adding a restricted airspace parameter will result in a new optimum flight plan that able avoids the airspace and the most minimum distance. The effect of external wind parameter could influence the optimum route which may vary depends on the speed of the wind."

"Cargo plays a very important role in the aviation industry as a supporting revenue. In Airline X, cargo supports the revenue by 4% - 6% of the total revenue. There are opportunities to optimize the cargo compartment in Airline X by analyzing every agent involved in the purpose to know the optimum cargo loaded into the compartment using Agent-Based Modelling. The method used in this research is Rejection Sampling in Monte Carlo and Agent-Based Modelling. In addition, the theory used in this research is distribution function, to determine what type of distribution that represents the agent behavior. The final result shows that with the predetermined number of iterations, which is 300 iterations, the optimal value was obtained base on the convergent result. On the other hand, the distribution of passenger and baggage described as the Gaussian Distribution Function, while the distribution of EBT described as the Negative Exponential Distribution Function. These distributions represent agent behavior."

"Penelitian ini disusun untuk menganalisis peristiwa tidak diangkutnya penumpang dengan alasan melebihi kapasitas pesawat udara sebagai tindakan wanprestasi dan sebagai perbuatan melawan hukum serta menganalisis pengaturan dan pelaksanaan tanggung jawab pengangkut udara atas tidak diangkutnya penumpang dengan alasan melebihi kapasitas pesawat udara. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif.Hasil penelitian ini adalah peristiwa tidak diangkutnya penumpang dengan alasan melebihi kapasitas pesawat udara dapat digolongkan sebagai tindakan wanprestasi dan sebagai perbuatan melawan hukum serta pengangkut udara dianggap selalu bertanggung jawab untuk memberi ganti rugi apabila terjadi peristiwa tidak diangkutnya penumpang dengan alasan melebihi kapasitas pesawat udara.Dibutuhkan suatu definisi dan pengaturan yang lebih jelas mengenai peristiwa tidak diangkutnya penumpang dengan alasan melebihi kapasitas pesawat udara sehingga kepastian hukum bagi penumpang dapat lebih terjamin.

This research is analyzing denied boarding passanger as a failure to perform and as a tort and also analyzing the regulations and practices of the responsibility of airline of denied boarding passanger. This research is qualitative decriptive interpretative.

The result of this research are denied boarding passanger can be classified as a failure to perform and can be classified as a tort. In addition, airline always be responsible to give compensation if there is denied boarding passanger.

The researcher suggest that needs a definition and regulation more clearly about denied boarding passanger so the passanger can be more protected."

"Perencanaan kapasitas merupakan salah satu area keputusan penting dalam manajemen operasi. Untuk mendukung kemampuan produksi suatu perusahaan, perusahaan harus mampu untuk memaksimalkan jumlah produksi sehingga tujuan perusahaan dapat tercapai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari solusi produksi optimal perusahaan menggunakan metode linear programming. Kasus yang digunakan pada perusahaan ini adalah perusahaan PT. Autum Agro Industri, yang bergerak di bidang penggilingan beras di Lampung. Optimalisasi ini ditentukan dengan menggunakan 3 decision variable yaitu, Beras Premium (P), Beras Medium (M), dan Beras Pecah Kulit (L) yang diproduksi dalam satu bulan. Hasil penelitian dengan metode linear programming menggunakan solver excel menunjukkan bahwa untuk memaksimisasi keuntungan perusahaan, PT. Autum Agro Industri harus memproduksi sebanyak 1500 ton beras premium dan 569 ton beras pecah kulit untuk mendapatkan keuntungan sebesar Rp 651.326.068,97 setiap bulannya. Berdasarkan hasil penghitungan penelitian ini, beras medium ditemukan dapat mengurangi keuntungan maksimal perusahaan apabila diproduksi, karena ditemukannya reduced cost sebesar Rp 212.825 untuk setiap ton produksi per bulannya.

Capacity planning is one of the important decision areas in operations management. To support the production capability of a company, the company must be able to maximize the amount of production so that the company's goals can be achieved. This study aims to find the company's optimal production solution using the linear programming method. The case used in this company is the company PT. Autum Agro Industri, which is engaged in rice milling in Lampung. This optimization is determined by using 3 decision variables, namely, Premium Rice (P), Medium Rice (M), and Broken Husked Rice (L) which are produced in one month. The results of the study using the linear programming method using excel solver showed that to maximize company profits, PT. Autum Agro Industri must produce 1500 tons of premium rice and 569 tons of broken husked rice to get a profit of Rp 651.326.068,97 per month. Based on the calculation results of this study, medium rice was found to be able to reduce the company's maximum profit if it was produced, because it found a reduced cost of Rp 212.825 for each ton of production per month.

"Dewasa ini, tren berbagi kendaraan menjadi pilihan masyarakat untuk berpergian dari satu tempat ke tempat lain, tren tersebut terkenal dengan sebutan ride sharing. Ride sharing adalah salah satu solusi yang dapat berkembang untuk mengurangi kemacetan karena jumlah kendaraan di jalan yang tinggi. Taksi sebagai moda transportasi alternatif di perkotaan dapat menerapkan sistem ride sharing tersebut. Taxi sharing bertujuan memaksimalkan penggunaan kapasitas taksi, sehingga dapat mengurangi biaya perjalanan penumpang, meningkatkan penghasilan operator taksi, dan mengurangi kemacetan, emisi gas buangan, serta penggunaan bahan bakar. Untuk memaksimalkan keuntungan dari penggunaan sistem taxi sharing, perlu pengoptimalan rute taksi dan pasangan permintaan yang berbagi layanan taksi. Pengoptimalan tersebut berbentuk mixed integer programming. Kemudian, permasalahan tersebut terselesaikan menggunakan metode tabu search. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan metode tabu search meningkatkan pendapatan operator taksi sebesar 10 - 14.

Nowadays, ride sharing system is a trend among society for travelling. The ride sharing system is a solution that can be developed to reduce the congestion because of high amount of vehicles on the road. Taxi as an alternative transportation in urban area can impose the ride sharing system. Taxi sharing aims to maximaze the utilization of taxi capacity, thereby reduce the fare for passangers, increase income of taxi operator, and reduce congestion, gas emission, as well as the use of fuel. In order to maximize the benefits of using taxi sharing system, we need to optimize taxi route and match requests that share the taxi service. The optimization of taxi sharing problem have the form of mixed integer programming, which is solved by using tabu search method. The experiment shows that the tabu search method can increase the income of taxi operator up to 10 14."

"ABSTRAKTulisan ini menganilis efisiensi dan perubahan produktivitas dari hotel-hotel berbintang di Bali selama tahun 2004-2010 dengan menggunakan metode data envelopment analysis (DEA) dan Malmquist Total factor Productivity. Pendekatan dua-tahap (two-stage) juga digunakan untuk melihat apakah ada pengaruh external (environmental variables) terhadap efisiensi hotel. Hasil dari studi ini mendapatkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan terhadap efisiensi dari hotel berbintang di Bali, yaitu dari 64% pada tahun 2004 menjadi 75% pada tahun 2010. Efisiensi ini utamanya digerakkan oleh pure technical efficiency dari pada skala efisiensi. Juga didapatkan bahwa perubahan total factor produktivitas hotel berbintang di Bali sebesar 7.9% per tahun, yang disebabkan oleh naiknya jumlah kunjungan wisatawan yang cukup tajam beberapa tahun setelah dua kali serangan bom oleh teroris di Pulau Bali.

ABSTRACTThis paper analyzes efficiency and productivity change of Balinese star-rated hotels during 2004-2010, by employing data envelopment analysis (DEA) and a Malmquist total factor productivity index. A two-stage approach is also employed to see whether environmental variables influenced hotel efficiency. It is found that Balinese hotels technical efficiency level has increased from 64% in 2004 to 75% in 2010. The hotels technical efficiency was driven mainly by pure technical efficiency rather than scale efficiency. It is also found that total productivity change amounted to 7.9% annually, which was mainly due to the numbers of tourist nights increasingly sharply a couple of years after the detrimental effects of the two terrorist bomb attacks on the island of Bali."
