"ABSTRAKDespite many efforts, there is still a serious problem in transferring knowledge from research to business. The problem is especially visible in Poland the cooperation of R2B is ineffective. We are trying to solve this problem using some IT support. The manuscript presents some solutions developed at the Gdańsk University of Technology. In particular, the platform called MOST Knowledge is deeply described. Its layer architecture, and some new services which it offers are shown. A new interdisciplinary approach is proposed to communicate and support the cooperation of these different worlds. Summarizing, a short comparison with other available platforms is included and discussed."

"ABSTRAKThe European policy of Open Access to scientific research is now one of the key issues discussed in public debates on the future development of scientific communication. The implementation of Open Access tools has significant impact on scientific and economicgrowth. On the one hand, Open Access accelerates disseminating new research findings and facilitates recognition of authors on a more global scale. On the other hand, Open Access helps provide equal access to knowledge and stimulates innovation. Thus, it has an important role in creating the modern information society and economic growth. International organisations, the European Union and governments of individual countries support the idea of Open Access giving recommendations and guidelines concerning making the outputs of research financed from public funds freely available. The paper aims to discuss the process of preparing and implementing the Open Access policy at the institutional level as well as the functionality and tasks of the Open Repository which is now being established on the Multidisciplinary Open System Transferring Knowledge Platform. The acronym of its name in the Polish language is MOST Wiedzy, which means Bridge of Knowledge. The repository is a project of an archive of scientific publications, research data, scientific dissertations, as well as other documents and sources, created as a result of scientific experiments and other research and development work conducted at the Gdansk University of Technology. It will also be a solution supporting communicationbetween researchers and a platform for cooperation between science and business."

"Industri manufaktur saat ini menghadapi tantangan yang semakin kompleks, termasuk peningkatan permintaan produk dan persaingan global yang semakin ketat. Untuk tetap kompetitif dan meningkatkan efisiensi serta produktivitas, adopsi teknologi menjadi keharusan. Salah satu inovasi penting adalah penerapan sistem pengemasan otomatis. Sistem ini memungkinkan proses pengemasan produk secara otomatis tanpa campur tangan manusia, yang secara signifikan dapat meningkatkan kecepatan, ketepatan, dan efisiensi pengemasan sekaligus menekan biaya produksi. Penelitian ini berfokus pada pengembangan subunit alat pemindah botol obat sebagai bagian dari sistem pengemasan otomatis. Tahapan penelitian meliputi studi literatur, penentuan spesifikasi motor stepper yang sesuai, dan perancangan subunit pemindah botol obat. Proses manufaktur rangka dan pengujian pembebanan dilakukan untuk memastikan kekuatan dan keandalan subunit yang dikembangkan. Analisis hasil manufaktur mengungkapkan defleksi maksimum dan faktor keamanan yang dicapai sesuai dengan standar ASME STS-1 tahun 2016 mengenai Steel Stacks. Evaluasi kesalahan dilakukan untuk memahami dan meminimalkan potensi kegagalan sistem. Akhirnya, penelitian ini menyajikan kesimpulan dari hasil uji coba dan menawarkan saran untuk pengembangan lebih lanjut.

The manufacturing industry is currently facing increasingly complex challenges, including rising product demand and intense global competition. To stay competitive and enhance efficiency and productivity, adopting cutting-edge technology is essential. One crucial innovation is the implementation of automated packaging systems. These systems enable product packaging processes to be conducted automatically without human intervention, significantly increasing packaging speed, precision, and efficiency while reducing production costs. This study focuses on the development of a medicine bottle transfer subunit as part of an automated packaging system. The research stages include a literature review, determination of suitable stepper motor specifications, and the design of the medicine bottle transfer subunit. The manufacturing process and load testing were conducted to ensure the strength and reliability of the developed subunit. Manufacturing analysis revealed the maximum deflection and safety factors achieved according to the ASME STS-1 2016 standard regarding Steel Stacks. Error evaluation was performed to understand and minimize potential system failures. Finally, this research presents conclusions from the trials and offers suggestions for further development."

"ABSTRAK Agile adalah sebuah metode pengembangan software yang fleksibel dalam menangani perubahan kebutuhan software. Begitupula scrum sebagai salah satu framework yang populer dari agile juga fleksibel terhadap perubahan kebutuhan software. Namun kelebihan ini ternyata harus diiringi dengan beberapa kekurangan terutama pada bagian dokumentasi software dikarenakan agile lebih mengandalkan komunikasi langsung. Knowledge management pada scrum juga turut dipengaruhi dengan meningkatnya tantangan dalam pengembangan software seperti letak tim pengembang yang berjauhan tempat, atau adanya pergantian pengembang software, penggunaan metode untuk proyek bersakala besar, adanya kebutuhan software dengan kualitas tinggi. Permasalahan ini perlu diselesaikan untuk menghidari banyaknya knowledge loss. Knowledge merupakan salah satu unsur vital dalam meningkatkan kinerja dari suatu organisasi. Sehingga jika knowledge antara anggota tim tidak tertangani dengan baik akan menghambat kecepatan pengembangan dan kinerja tim. Beberapa pendekatan telah dilakukan untuk menangani permasalahan knowledge tersebut salah satunya dengan menggunakan knowledge management system. Oleh karena itu peneliti ingin mengetahui lebih jauh bagaimana pengaruh knowledge management system pada pengembangan software berbasis scrum dan pengaruhnya terhadap kinerja pengembang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan quasi-experimental dengan penerapan di dunia nyata pada perusahaan startup. Penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian dengan metode pra-uji dan pasca-uji dengan membandingkan kondisi sebelum dan sesudah penerapan knowledge management system. Percobaan ini dilakukan dengan dua minggu menggunakan sistem pendukung scrum standar dan dua minggu dengan knowledge management system. Hasil temuan yang diperoleh dari percobaan tersebut yaitu terjadi peningkatan performa kontesktual sebesar 12%, performa tugas sebesar 5%, performa adaptasi sebesar 8%, serta perbaikan sirkulasi knowledge dari tim pengembang. Knowledge Management System terbukti mampu meningkatkan dan menangani sirkulasi knowledge pada scrum dan memberikan dampak pada pengembang dan proses pengembangan software.

ABSTRACT

Agile is a software development method that easily adapts to changing software requirements. Scrum as one of the popular frameworks of agile is also flexible to changing software requirements. But this advantage turns out to be accompanied by several shortcomings, especially in the software documentation section because agile relies more on direct communication. Knowledge management in Scrum was also influenced by the increasing challenges in software development such as the location of the development team that was far apart, or the change of software developers, the use of methods for large-scale projects, the need for high quality software. This problem needs to be resolved to avoid the amount of knowledge loss. Knowledge is one of the vital elements in improving the performance of an organization. So if knowledge between team members is not handled properly it will slow down the development and team performance. Several approaches have been made to deal with the knowledge problems, one of them is by using the knowledge management system. Therefore this research want to find out more about how the knowledge management system influences the development of scrum-based software and its effect on developer performance. This study uses a quasi-experimental approach with the application in the real world with startup companies. The research conducted is research with pre-test and post-test methods by comparing the conditions before and after the implementation of the knowledge management system. This experiment was conducted in two weeks using a standard scrum support system and two weeks with a knowledge management system. The findings obtained from the experiment were 12% increase in contest performance, task performance of 5%, adaptation performance of 8%, and improvement of knowledge circulation from the development team. The Knowledge Management System is proven to be able to improve and handle the knowledge circulation in Scrum and have an impact on developers and the software development process.

"Dengan iklim bisnis yang penuh persaingan, organisasi perlu melakukan inovasi dan bekerja secara cepat. Untuk memenuhi tuntutan tersebut, banyak organisasi yang menggunakan metodologi agile dalam melakukan pengembangan sistem. Metodologi ini diketahui fleksibel, sehingga mampu menghadapi perubahan mendadak. Masalahnya, dengan kecepatan yang dimiliki metodologi agile, banyak pengetahuan yang harus dikelola dengan benar dan cepat pula. Maka dari itu, diperlukan KM (Knowledge Management) untuk membuat pengelolaan pengetahuan dalam praktik agile menjadi efektif. Berdasarkan masalah tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana KM dan metodologi agile dapat mendukung proses pengembangan yang ada di organisasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan melibatkan 16 narasumber yang berasal dari 14 perusahaan berbeda. Narasumber berlatar belakang sebagai engineer, quality assurance, project/product manager, dan UI/UX designer. Dari hasil wawancara yang dilakukan, tim peneliti memetakan agile practices dan cloud services dengan KM processes dan KM foundation menggunakan model teoritis. Selain itu, dibuat juga KMS yang berisikan 27 fitur yang berguna bagi proses pengembangan sistem dan dapat membantu aktivitas KM. Kesuksesan organisasi dalam menjalankan proses pengembangannya akan bergantung pada semua aspek yang telah disebutkan, yaitu KM foundation, KM processes, agile practices, dan cloud services.

With a competitive business climate, organizations need to innovate and work quickly. To meet these demands, many organizations use agile methodologies in developing systems. This methodology is known to be flexible, so it can deal with sudden changes. The problem is, with the speed that agile methodology has, a lot of knowledge must be managed properly and quickly. Therefore, KM (Knowledge Management) is needed to manage knowledge in agile practices effectively. Based on these problems, this study aims to find out how KM and agile methodologies can support the development processes in organizations. This study used a qualitative approach involving 16 interviewees from 14 different companies. The resource persons have backgrounds as engineers, quality assurance, project/product managers, and UI/UX designers. From the results of interviews conducted, the research team mapped agile practices and cloud services with KM processes and KM foundation using a theoretical model. In addition, a KMS was also created which contained 27 features that were useful for the system development process and could assist KM activities. The success of an organization in carrying out its development process will depend on all the aspects mentioned, namely the KM foundation, KM processes, agile practices, and cloud services."

"Internet adalah hal yang sangat umum saat ini. Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan akses internet, banyak rumah maupun kantor yang memilih untuk menggunakan jaringan nirkabel karena fleksibilitasnya yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan jaringan berkabel. Namun pada setiap jaringan selalu ada ancaman serangan yang dapat mengganggu konektivitas, hingga membahayakan perangkat dan data pengguna. Salah satu cara yang dapat digunakan untuk mendeteksi adanya serangan-serangan seperti ini adalah dengan menggunakan Intrusion Detection System (IDS) yang dapat memantau lalu lintas jaringan dan mendeteksi adanya aktivitas mencurigakan/berbahaya pada jaringan.Pada penelitian ini, dilakukan pengembangan sistem IDS portable dengan menggunakan Raspberry Pi, sebagai solusi IDS yang terjangkau dan efektif untuk jaringan kecil dan menengah. Kemudian dilakukan perbandingan antara 2 jenis open source IDS, yaitu Snort dan Suricata. Hasil dari 2 skenario pengujian menunjukkan bahwa pada skenario 1, Snort berhasil mendeteksi 18 dari 20 serangan, dengan persentase penggunaan RAM 11.86% dan CPU 10.16%, serta waktu deteksi 203.92 detik. Sedangkan Suricata berhasil mendeteksi seluruh serangan, dengan persentase penggunaan RAM 8.44% dan CPU 13.07%, serta waktu deteksi 178.79 detik. Sementara itu, pada skenario 2, Snort berhasil mendeteksi seluruh serangan, dengan persentase penggunaan RAM 12.18% dan CPU 8.64%, serta waktu deteksi 72.6 detik. Sedangkan Suricata berhasil mendeteksi seluruh serangan, dengan persentase penggunaan RAM 7.96% dan CPU 13.5%, serta waktu deteksi 45.33 detik.

Internet is a very common thing nowadays. To fulfill the need of internet access, most of households and offices choose to use wireless network rather than wired network due to its better flexibility. However, regardless of the kind of network, there is always a threat of attacks which could disrupt the connectivity, and even harm the device or user’s data. One way to detect an attack to a network is by using Intrusion Detection System (IDS) to monitor the network traffic and to detect abnormal and dangerous activities.

This study is about a development of a portable IDS using Raspberry Pi, and two open source IDSs, Snort and Suricata, as a cost-efficient and effective portable IDS for small and medium network. The results of 2 test scenarios show that in scenario 1, Snort managed to detect 18 out of 20 attacks, with 11.86% RAM usage, 10.16% CPU usage, and detection time of 203.92 seconds. While Suricata managed to detect all the attacks, with 8.44% RAM usage and 13.07% CPU usage, and detection time of 178.79 seconds. Meanwhile, in scenario 2, Snort managed to detect all the attacks, with 12.18% RAM usage, 8.64% CPU usage, and detection time of 72.6 seconds. While Suricata managed to detect all attacks, with 7.96% RAM usage 13.5% CPU usage, and detection time of 45.33 seconds."
