"ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengembangkan skala baru dalam mengukur grit dengan mengacu pada skala grit yang dikembangkan oleh Angela Lee Duckworth dan rekan-rekan nya 2007 . Pada tepatnya, penelitian ini akan menjawab apakah skala grit yang baru dapat memperoleh hasil yang sama dengan skala grit s-grit yang dikembangkan oleh Duckworth 2007 dan menghasilkan nilai validitas dan reliabilitas yang sesuai. Untuk menguji validitas skala tersebut, tiga hipotesis empiris digunakan untuk menganalisis korelasi antara hasil yang diperoleh skala baru dan s-grit dengan menguji internal consistency dan item discrimination index, yang hasilnya juga digunakan untuk menguji validitas skala baru. Hasil yang ditemukan dari analisis validitas dan reliabilitas konsisten dengan tiga hipotesis empiris adalah korelasi positif antara skor dari skala baru dan s-grit, korelasi positif antara skor conscientiousness dari skala baru dan s-grit, dan korelasi positif antara skor work-ethics profile dari skala baru dan s-grit. Ini menunjukkan bahwa skala grit yang baru memiliki validitas yang cukup tinggi karena kesesuaiannya dengan validitas skala s-grit. Namun, berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, penelitian kedepannya dapat meningkatkan nilai item discrimination index untuk meningkatkan validitas dan keumuman skala grit baru.

ABSTRACT
The aim of this study is to develop a new grit scale with reference to the established grit scale by Duckworth and colleagues 2007 . Specifically, the purpose of this study is to discover whether the redeveloped grit scale will yield the same outcome as the previous grit scale while maintaining validity and reliability. To establish the validity of the new grit scale, three empirical hypotheses are generated to examine the relationship between the scores on the new scale and scores on other measures, as well as identifying the sample characteristics of grit. Additionally, reliability analyses such as Internal Consistency and Item Discrimination Index were also conducted to strengthen the new scale rsquo;s validity. The new grit scale was high in internal consistency and most items had reasonable item discrimination indices. Results showed that that all hypotheses were supported such that a positive correlation was found between the scores of the new grit scale and short grit scale, scores of the new grit scale positively correlate to scores on conscientiousness and scores of the new grit scale positively correlate to scores on work ethics profile. This indicated that the new measurement scale has decent validity. However, further research should focus on improving item discrimination index to strengthen validity of the new grit scale and increase generalizability. "

"Penilitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menguji reliabilitas dan validasi dari alat ukur grit yang baru. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah grit scale yang baru, original grit scale, self-control, dan passion. Alat ukur yang baru digunakan terhadap 142 murid dari dari University of Queensland. Ada korelasi positif yang signifikan antara alat ukur grit yang baru dan original grit scale, dan korelasi positif yang signifikan antara alat ukur grit yang baru dan self-control, yang mengindikasikan bahwa alat ukur grit yang baru adalah valid. Namun kami tidak menemukan korelasi yang signifikan antara alat ukur grit yang baru dan passion. Alat ukur grit yang baru memiliki reliabilitas yang baik, dan item discrimination indices yang konsisten. Penelitian selanjutnya dapat memperbaiki item dengan item discrimination indices yang rendah, dan menggunakan alat ukur ini di populasi yang berbeda.

This study aim to test the reliability and validity of the new grit scale. We gave the new grit scale, along with three other scales: the original grit scale, self-control, and passion. The new scale was tested in 142 students of University of Queensland. We found a positive significant correlation between our new grit scale with the original grit scale, and a positive significant correlation between our new grit scale and self-control, indicating the validity of our new grit scale. However, we failed to find a significant correlation between the new grit scale and passion. Our new grit scale has a good reliability, and the item discrimination indices are consistent. Future improvements should be made regarding the items with low item discrimination indices, and testing the scale to different sample populations. "

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji validitas dan reliabilitas dari alat ukur Academic Grit Scale AGS yang baru dikonstruksi untuk mengukur academic grit. Validitas kriteria dan validitas konvergen digunakan dengan mengkorelasikan AGS dengan conscientiousness pada Big-Five Personality, Short Grit Scale Grit-s , dan indeks prestasi akademik IPK . Partisipan pada penelitian ini merupakan 155 orang mahasiswa jurusan psikologi di University of Queensland. Ditemukan bahwa AGS valid untuk mengukur academic grit. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan adanya korelasi yang positif antara AGS dengan conscientiousness, Grit-S, dan IPK. Reliabilitas dari AGS juga memiliki nilai yang baik =0,76 . Meskipun begitu, diperlukan perbaikan pada satu buah item dengan indeks diskriminasi item yang rendah. Item-item lainnya memiliki indeks diskriminasi item yang berkisar antara 0,28-0,69. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa AGS merupakan alat ukur yang valid dan reliabel untuk mengukur academic grit. Selanjutnya, alat ukur ini masih dapat dikembangkan dengan memperbaiki indeks diskriminasi item dan mengurangi jumlah item. Penggunaan AGS dapat membantu merancang intervensi untuk meningkatkan academic grit pada siswa yang nantinya akan membantu meningkatkan performa akademik mereka.

This study aimed to evaluate the validity and reliability of the newly constructed Academic Grit Scale AGS , measuring academic grit. Criterion and convergent validities were tested by correlating AGS with Big-Five conscientiousness, Short Grit Scale Grit-s , and grade point average GPA . Study was conducted to 155 psychology students at University of Queensland. AGS was found to be a valid measure of academic grit, where its results correlated positively with conscientiousness, Grit-S, and GPA. Reliability of the scale was also good a = .76 . However, one item had poor item discrimination index that needed to be improved. Other items had item discrimination indices from the range of .28-.69. In conclusion, AGS was a valid and reliable measure of academic grit. The scale could still be improved, by improving the items rsquo; item discrimination indices and decreasing the number of items. Future use of AGS could support creation of intervention to increase students rsquo; academic grit, which will consequently help their academic performance.

"Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti mengembangkan alat ukur baru untuk mengukur tingkat kepribadian extraversion.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji validitas dan reliabilitas alat ukur baru tersebut. Alat ukur tersebut diujikan kepada 118 partisipan dengan rentang usia 19 hingga 50 tahun. Secara keseluruhan, alat ukur baru yang dirancang tergolong reliable dan valid. Semua alat ukur yang digunakan sebagai alat ukur validasi dalam penelitian ini juga tergolong reliable. Hasil dari Indeks Diskriminasi Item (IDI) menunjukan bahwa hanya 1 dari 10 item dalan alat ukur tersebut yang kurang efektif. Sedangkan, 9 item lainnya efektif dan berkontribusi dengan baik untuk alat ukur tersebut. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa alat ukur baru tersebut tergolong reliable. Selain itu, hasil menunjukan bahwa alat ukur baru ini berkolerasi positif dengan alat ukur personal wellbeing seperti prediksi. Hasil dalam penelitian ini juga menunjukan bahwa alat ukur ini berkorelasi negative dengan alat ukur neuroticismseperti prediksi. Maka dari itu, alat ukur baru tersebut tergolong valid.

The present study developed a new scale to measure the level of individual’s level of extraversion personality. The aim of the study was to measure the validity, reliability, and item discrimination indices of the new self-report scale for assessing extraversion. The scale was tested on 118 participants aged 19 to 50 years old. Overall, the new scale was found to be reliable, normally distributed, and valid. All the validating scales used in the present study were also found to be reliable and normally distributed. The Item Discrimination Indices (IDI) scores for the new extraversion scales showed that only 1 out of 10 items was less effective. The remaining 9 items were found to be effective and contributes well to the scale. The new scale also found to have a good internal consistency. Thus, the new scale was concluded to be reliable. The results showed that the new scale was positively correlated with personal wellbeing scale as predicted. Moreover, the new scale was found to be negatively correlated with neuroticism scale as predicted. Therefore, the new scale was concluded to be valid.

"ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengembangkan dan mengevaluasi alat ukur baru untuk Perfeksionisme. Alat ukur baru dikembangkan melalu studi percontohan yang berfokus pada dua aspek perfeksionisme yang adaptif i.e., high standard dan maladaptif i.e., discrepancy perfeksionisme. Hasil akhir dari penelitian ini menjadi 12-item skala perfeksionisme dengan dua sub-skala yaitu high standard dan discrepancy. Alat ukur ini diberikan kepada 167 mahasiswa University of Queensland yang terdaftar dalam kelas Measurement of Psychology PSYC3020 . Perhitungan Alpha Cronbach dan analisis korelasi pada tiga hipotesis validasi dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi reliabilitas dan validitas dari skala ini. Hasil analisa tersebut menunjukan konsistensi internal menyeluruh yang sangat baik dan dua dari tiga hipotesis validasi didukung. Alat ukur ini selanjutnya diadministrasikan pada 30 mahasiswa Indonesia yang menempuh studi University of Queensland sebagai sampel perdana alat ukur ini untuk mendapatkan data mengenai derajat perfeksionisme yang mereka miliki.

ABSTRACT
The present study is conducted to develop and evaluate a new scale on Perfectionism. The new scale was developed through pilot study which focus on two aspects of perfectionism which is adaptive i.e., high standards and maladaptive i.e., discrepancy perfectionism. A final 12-item Perfectionism Scale with two subscales; high standard and discrepancy, were tested. The scale was administered to a total of 167 University of Queensland students who enrolled in Measurement in Psychology PSYC3020 course. Cronbach rsquo; Alpha calculation and correlation analysis on three validation hypotheses was performed to evaluate the reliability and validation of the scale. An excellent overall internal consistency was reported, and two of the three validation hypotheses were supported. The scale was also administered to a total of 30 Indonesian international students at University of Queensland to further evaluate the current measure. High score of Perfectionism was found amongst them. The present scale can be applied in consultation session to measure one rsquo;s perfectionism scale which might appeared as a contributing information during the case formulation process. "

"Studi ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan membandingkan Skala Kegigihan yang telah dikembangkan (Nu Grit) dengan skala yang telah ada sebelumnya (Grit S). Tujuan lain dari studi ini adalah untuk mengukur Skala Kegigihan (Nu Grit) dengan skala-skala yang mengukur konstruk-konstruk lain, seperti ketelitian dan keberhasilan akademik. Hipotesis utama dari studi ini adalah skor tinggi pada skala Nu Grit memprediksi skor yang tinggi pula pada skala Grit S. Partisipan studi ini adalah dua ratus empat puluh delapan mahasiswa University of Queensland yang mengambil mata kuliah Measurement in Psychology (PSYC3020). Partisipan diminta untuk menyelesaikan survei online yang terdiri dari empat skala ukur yaitu Nu Grit, Grit S, skala validasi ketelitian (NEO Personality Inventories), skala validasi kontrol diri (Self Control Behavior Inventory), dan OP Score untuk memvalidasi keberhasilan akademik. Lalu jawaban dari survei tersebut dikumpulkan melalui Qualtrics. Cronbach Alpha dari studi ini adalah (𝛼 = .86) yang menunjukkan realibilitas skala Nu Grit tergolong tinggi. Selain itu, delapan belas dari sembilan belas item dalam indeks item diskriminasi memperlihatkan angka yang relatif baik. Sesuai dengan hipotesis utama, hasil dari studi ini menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa yang memiliki skor tinggi pada skala Nu grit juga akan memiliki skor yang tinggi pada skala Grit S (r = .69). Selain itu, hasil menunjukkan korelasi antara kegigihan dengan ketelitian (r = .70), serta korelasi antara kegigihan dengan kontrol diri (r = .60). Namun, studi ini menemukan hubungan yang tidak signifikan antara kegigihan dan keberhasilan akademik (r = -.10). Dengan kata lain, hasil analisis dari studi ini mendukung korelasi Nu Grit dengan Grit S dan ketelitian, tetapi studi ini tidak menemukan korelasi antara Nu Grit dengan keberhasilan akademik.

This study is primarily sought to compare and test the newly constructed grit scale (Nu Grit) with the existing grit scale (Grit S). The study also intended to examine the relationships between Nu Grit with the scales that measure other constructs, such as, conscientiousness and academic performance. The main hypothesis of this study is that people who obtained high score in Nu Grit would also obtain high score in Grit S. In this study, 248 undergraduate students of University of Queensland who are enrolled in Measurement in Psychology course (PSYC3020) are involved as participants. The participants completed online surveys that contained four scales that include Nu Grit, Grit S, validating scale for conscientiousness (NEO Personality Inventories), validating scale for self-control (Self-Control Behavior Inventory), and OP Score to validate academic success. All answers of the survey were submitted to Qualtrics. In this case, the reliability of Nu Grit was considered high which could be observed through its Cronbach Alpha (𝛼 = .86). Moreover, 18 out of 19 items in item discrimination indices were found to be relatively good. In accordance to the main hypothesis, the result indicated that people who scored higher in Nu Grit also score higher in Grit S (r = .69). Moreover, the results are corresponding to the second and third hypotheses that grit correlates with conscientiousness (r = 70), and grit correlates with self-control (r = .60). However, the study found non-significant relationship between grit and academic success (r = -.10). To conclude, the findings of this study support the correlation between Nu Grit, Grit S, and conscientiousness, while it does not support the relationship between Nu Grit and academic success.

"ABSTRAK
Berdasarkan literatur sebelumnya, bahwa munculnya perilaku obsesif kompulsif pada mahasiswa meningkat dan skala - skala sebelumnya hanya mengukur pasien yang telah didiagnosis dengan gangguan obsesif kompulsif, studi ini telah mengembangkan skala obsesif kompulsif OCB scale untuk mahasiswa yang secara khusus mengukur gejala obsesif kompulsif berdasarkan Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of mental disorders DSM : 5th edition. Selain itu, tujuan lain dari studi ini untuk menginvestigasi karakteristik psikometrik dari OCB scale. 142 mahasiswa berumur dari 18 sampai 54 tahun berpartisipasi secara sukarela di survey besar. Perhitungan cronbach rsquo;s alpha pada penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa konsistensi internal skala ini sangat baik. Selain itu, analisis item discrimination index menunjukan bahwa kualitas tiap item dari OCB scale ini cukup baik. Tiga skala dipakai untuk menilai validitas OCB scale. Pertama - tama, peserta dengan skor tinggi di OCB scale mendapatkan skor tinggi di Obsessive-Compulsive Invetory-Revised OCI-R , menandakan validitas konvergen yang sangat baik. Kedua, peserta yang dengan skor tinggi di OCB scale mendapatkan skor tinggi di Penn State Worry Questionnaire PSWQ menunjukan validitas divergent skala ini membutuhkan perbaikan. Ketiga, peserta yang mendapatkan skor OCB scale yang tinggi juga mendapatkan skor tinggi di Responsibility Attitude Scale RAS menandakan validitas kriteria yang sangat baik.

ABSTRACT
Based on previous literatures that the occurrence of Obsessive Compulsive Behaviour OCB in college students is increasing and previous scales often only measured patients who have been diagnosed with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder OCD , this study developed Obsessive Compulsive Behaviour OCB scale for college students that specifically measures obsessive compulsive symptoms according to Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders DSM 5th edition. Furthemore, the other objective of this study is to investigate the psychometric properties of OCB scale. 142 college students aged from 18 to 54 years old participated voluntarily in mega survey. Calculation of cronbach rsquo s alpha in this study revealed that internal consistency of this scale was excellent. Furthermore the analysis of item discrimination index showed that the quality of each item for this scale was moderately good. Three scales were used to examine the validity of OCB scale. First of all, participants who scored high in OCB scale obtained high score of Obsessive Compulsive Invetory Revised OCI R indicates excellent convergent validity. Secondly, participants who scored high in OCB scale obtained high score of Penn State Worry Questionnaire PSWQ shows that the divergent validity of this scale needs improvement. Thirdly, participants who had high score of OCB scale also scored high in Responsibility Attitude Scale RAS indicates excellent criterion validity."

"Riset ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan skala perfeksionisme yang baru dengan reliabilitas dan validitas yg baik. Skala baru tersebut mempunyai 10 item dengan menggunakan skala likert 5 poin. Partisipan dari riset ini adalah mahasiswa University of Queensland yang terdaftar di dalam mata kuliah PSYC 3020 (N=246) dengan 176 partisipan wanita dan 70 partisipan pria dengan rata rata umur (M=22.071, SD=4.307) Internal konsistensi skala baru ini diuji dengan Cronbach’s alpha yang menunjukan internal konsistensi (α = .608). Untuk validitas, skala baru ini mempunyai hubungan positif dengan skala Almost Perfect Scale-Revised (APS-R) oleh Slaney, Rice, Mobbley, Trippi, & Ashby (2001), namun berkolerasi negatif dengan skala self-esteem Rosenberg (1965). Tidak ditemukan korelasi yang signifikan antara skala baru dengan International Personality Item Pool (IPIP) conscientiousness scale. Skala baru ini dapat diaplikasikan ke dalam kehidupan kerja untuk keperluan rekrutmen di beberapa bidang pekerjaan.

The study aims to create a new scale of perfectionism with a good reliability and validity. The scale has 10 items with 5 point likert scale. The participants of this study were the University of Queensland students who are enrolled in PSYC3020 course (N=246) with 176 female participants and 70 male participants with average age of (M=22.071, SD=4.307) Internal consistency of the scale was tested and it revealed that the cronbach’s alpha of the scale was (α = .608). In terms of validity, the scale had a positive correlation with ASP-R scale by Slaney, Rice, Mobbley, Trippi, & Ashby (2001) and a negative correlation with Rosenberg’s (1965) self-esteem scale. No significant correlation found between the new scale and the International Personality Item Pool (IPIP) conscientiousness scale. The scale could be used in daily life as a recruitment tool in several job fields.

Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi reliabilitas dan validitas sebuah alat ukur baru untuk mengukur
Obsessive Compulsive Behaviour (OCB). Alat ukur yang terdiri dari 12 item disusun dan disebarkan kepada
mahasiswa PSYC3020, yang berusia 18-47 tahun di Universitas Queensland, Australia. Studi ini berhasil
menemukan bahwa alat ukur baru ini memiliki reliabilitas yang tinggi. Terdapat tiga hipotesis yang diajukan
didalam studi ini untuk mengevaluasi validitas alat ukur baru ini. Hal lain juga ditemukan bahwa OCB
mempunyai korelasi dengan neuroticism (r = .14, p < .05). Selain itu perbedaan rata-rata skor OCB antara
perempuan dan laki-laki juga dapat ditemukan, dimana perempuan memiliki nilai lebih tinggi dibandingkan
dengan laki-laki, walaupun perbedaan tersebut tidak signifikan (t(189) = 3.50, p = .001). Hubungan antara OCB
dan Desirability of Control juga dievalusi di dalam studi ini. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh tidak ditemukan
adanya korelasi antara dua variabel tersebut (r = .07, p = .33). Dari berbagai tes yang dilakukan, dapat
disimpulkan bahwa alat ukur baru ini memiliki reliabilitas yang tinggi dengan validitas yang rendah. Perbaikan
dalam beberapa bagian studi perlu dilakukan guna mengembangkan alat ukur baru ini. Namun, alat ukur baru ini
bermanfaat untuk menangani pasien tahap remaja akhir penderita Obsessive Compulsive disorder yang tidak
