"ABSTRAK
Keterampilan memberikan instruksi merupakan salah satu kemampuan dasar yang harus dimiliki oleh seorang pengajar kelas bahasa asing. Salah satu cara yang dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan memberikan instruksi tersebut adalah melalui kegiatan pendampingan sejawat peer coaching . Tesis ini bertujuan untuk melihat manfaat yang diberikan oleh kegiatan pendampingan sejawaat tersebut terhadap keterampilan memberikan instruksi pengajar. Metode paduan dengan pendekatan time series design digunakan untuk menganalisis data yang didapat dari hasil observasi/pengamatan kelas dan pascakonferensi, serta nilai evaluasi 4 orang pengajar dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa terdapat manfaat yang cukup signifikan dari kegiatan pendampingan sejawat terhadap keterampilan memberikan instruksi khususnya pada pengajar yang memiliki kedekatan secara personal dibandingkan pada pengajar yang kurang dekat secara personal. Secara umum penelitian ini mendukung ide kegiatan pendampingan sejawat sebagai salah satu cara untuk menigkatkan kompetensi pengajar. ABSTRACT
Giving instruction is one of the basic skills that a language teacher must have. There are several ways to improve this skill one of them is by doing a peer coaching program. This study aims to observe the effect of a peer coaching program to improve instruction giving skills of the EFL teachers. A mixed method research using a time series design is used to analyze the data obtained from observation and post conference session, as well as the teachers rsquo evaluation scores by the supervisor. The result reveals that the peer coaching program has significant effect on teachers rsquo giving instruction skills especially those pairs of teachers who know each other well and have more teaching experience. The findings generally support the idea that the peer coaching program can be considered as a tool to improve teachers rsquo teaching competence. Keywords Peer coaching giving instruction"

"This book provides the first systematic comparative study of the formal and informal learning of different professional groups, with a particular focus on teachers. Drawing on unique large-scale national surveys of working conditions and learning practices in Canada, teachers are compared with doctors and lawyers, nurses, engineers and computer programmers, as well as other professionals. The class positions of professionals (self-employed, employers, managers or employees) and their different collective bargaining and organizational decision-making powers are found to have significant effects on their formal learning and professional development (PD). Teachers? learning varies according to their professionally-based negotiating and school-based decision-making powers. Two further national surveys of thousands of Canadian classroom teachers as well as more in-depth case studies offer more insight into the array of teachers? formal and informal learning activities. Analyses of regular full-time teachers, occasional teachers and new teachers probe their different learning patterns. The international literature on teacher professional development and related government policies is reviewed and major barriers to job-embedded, ongoing professional learning are identified. Promising alternative forms of integrating teachers? work and their professional learning are illustrated. Teacher empowerment appears to be an effective means to ensure more integrated professional learning as well as to aid fuller realization of knowledge societies and knowledge economies."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efektivitas psikoedukasi KAMI SIAP untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan guru anak usia dini mengenai kesiapan bersekolah. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah within-subjects experimental design. Intervensi berupa psikoedukasi dilakukan sebanyak dua sesi dengan pengumpulan data sebelum dan sesudahnya. Melibatkan 19 orang partisipan guru anak usia dini. Untuk mengukur pengetahuan guru alat ukur dirancang sendiri oleh peneliti dan Teachers’ Belief about Child Based Dimensions of School Readiness (versi bahasa Indonesia). Hasilnya, menunjukkan bahwa psikoedukasi KAMI SIAP efektif untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan (Z = -2,749, p < 0,05, two tailed) guru anak usia dini mengenai kesiapan bersekolah.

The aim of this study was to see the effectiveness of KAMI SIAP psychoeducation to improve preschool teachers’ knowledge on school readiness. The type of research that used in this study was within-subjects experimental design. The psychoeducation intervention was carried out in two sessions with data collection before and after. Involving 19 participants preschool teachers. Instrument was designed by researcher to measure teachers’ knowledge and Teachers' Belief about Child-Based Dimensions of School Readiness (Indonesian version) was used. The result indicate that KAMI SIAP psychoeducation was effective to improve preschool teachers’ knowledge (Z = -2.749, p < 0.05, two tailed) on school readiness."

"Guru SMA di Pangkalpinang masih memiliki kelemahan dalam mengelola proses pembelajaran. Kelemahan itu meliputi perencanaan,pelaksanaan dan penilaian pembelajaran. Permasalahan itu perlu diatasi dengan melaksanakan supervisi akademik oleh pengawas sekolah melalui pendekatan supervisi klinis. Supervisi klinis adalah bantuan profesional yang diberikan kepada guru agar yang bersangkutan dapat mengatasi masalahnya dengan menempuh langkah-langkah yang sistematis. Melalui metode kuantitatif(kuesioner kepada guru SMA) dan kualitatif (wawancara mendalam kepada informan kunci) diperoleh temuan bahwa pelaksanaan supervisi klinis oleh pengawas sekolah belum optimal baik dalam prinsip-prinsip, syarat-syarat maupun prosedurnya. Belum optimalnya pelaksanaan supervisi klinis oleh pengawas sekolah tersebut karena lemahnya kompetensi kepribadian, kompetensi supervisi akademik, dan kompetensi sosial pengawas sekolah.

High School teachers in Pangkalpinang have several limitation in managing their learning process. The limitation include planning, implementation and learning assessment. That issues should be overcame by doing academic supervision , conducted by superintendent through clinical supervision approach. Clinical supervision is professional help given to teachers so that the teachers can handle their problem using systematic step. Using two methods, quantitative methods ( questionnaires to High School teacher) and qualitative methods (in-depth interview to key informant) show clinical supervision is not implemented by superintedent optimally both in principles, conditions and procedures. It is because the limitation in personality competence, academic supervision competence and superintendent's social competence."

"Di era berkembangnya informasi saat ini, teknologi dan informasi sudah mengubah cara kita menjalani kehidupan sehari-hari. Pandemi virus COVID-19 menjadi peluang sekaligus ancaman bagi Lembaga Pelatihan Kerja (LPK) dengan kejuruan khusus bahasa dan skill yang mempersiapkan SDM untuk peluang kerja ke luar negeri. LPK adalah suatu instansi yang sudah mendapat perizinan dan memenuhi persyaratan untuk melaksanakan suatu kegiatan pelatihan kerja. Salah satu LPK kejuruan khusus Bahasa jepang tentu merasakan dampaknya dan memerlukan penyesuaian atas kondisi pelatihan saat ini yang dituntut untuk pembelajaran jarak jauh. Oleh karena itu, penggunaan platform pembelajaran secara daring untuk LPK kejuruan bahasa Jepang ini setidaknya mampu untuk mengukur dan membangun terkait kompetensi dalam Lembaga pelatihan. Dalam hal ini dilakukan penelitian dengan mengambil studi kasus di salah satu LPK kejuruan Bahasa Jepang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi penerimaan pengguna dalam implementasi pembelajaran bahasa Jepang secara daring dengan menggunakan metode UTAUT dengan variabel konstruksi tambahan yang dikombinasikan dengan metode TAM yang telah disesuaikan dengan penelitian ini. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada peserta pelatihan dan dilakukan pengolahan data untuk mengidentifikasi faktor yang memengaruhi penerimaan dengan metode PLS-SEM. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah bahwa faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi penerimaan pengguna dalam implementasi pembelajaran bahasa Jepang secara daring adalah facilitating conditions, habit, language competency, teacher influence, intrinsic value, dan self-efficacy. Faktor facilitating conditions, habit, language competency, teacher influence, intrinsic value, dan self- efficacy mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap behavioral intention atau niat pengguna dalam menerima pembelajaran bahasa Jepang secara daring.

In the development of information era, technology and information have changed the way we live our daily lives. The COVID-19 virus pandemic is an opportunity as well as a threat for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) with special vocational in languages and skills that prepare human resources for job opportunities abroad. TVET is an agency that has received a permit and meets the requirements to carry out a job training activity. One of the vocational institution specializing in Japanese learning, certainly felt the impact and needed adjustments to the current training conditions required for distance learning. Therefore, the use of online learning platforms for Japanese vocational institution is at least able to measure and build related competencies in training institutions. In this case, a research was conducted by taking a case study in one of the Japanese language vocational institution. This study aims to determine the factors that influence user acceptance in the implementation of online Japanese learning using the UTAUT method with additional construction variables combined with the TAM method which has been adapted to this research. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires to students and processed the data to determine the factors that influence acceptance using the PLS-SEM method. The results obtained are that the factors that influence user acceptance in the implementation of online Japanese learning are facilitating conditions, habit, language competency, teacher influence, intrinsic value, and self-efficacy. These factors which are Facilitating conditions, habit, language competency, teacher influence, intrinsic value, and self- efficacy have a significant influence on behavioral intention or user intention in accepting Japanese language learning online."

"Tesis ini membahas metode pembelajaran yang diterapkan di salah satu tempat kursus di Kampung Inggris yang bernama Kursus X dari kacamata Community Language Learning. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif analitis. Data penelitian diperoleh dari data observasi kegiatan belajarmengajar di kelas dan di kamp, wawancara dengan ketua lembaga, pengajar dan pemelajar, dan kuesioner yang diisi oleh pemelajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa metode pembelajaran yang diterapkan di Kursus X berbeda dengan metode pembelajaran pada umumnya. Terdapat empat tipe metode pembelajaran yang diterapkan di Kursus X. Berdasarkan keempat tipe metode pembelajaran tersebut tidak ditemukan kesamaan konsep dengan kaidah yang ada dalam Community Language Learning.
Sementara itu hasil temuan observasi kegiatan di kamp menunjukan bahwa aktivitas santai dan minim tekanan selama pemelajar berada di kamp membuat pemelajar memiliki hubungan yang erat dengan pengajar seperti dalam CLL. Hal itu merangsang pemelajar untuk lebih produktif dalam memproduksi ujaran dalam bahasa target. Lebih lanjut hasil penelitian ini menyarankan penerapan kegiatan pembelajaran kamp yang lebih variatif dan lebih menarik, khususnya untuk paket pembelajaran liburan. Penerapan kegiatan pembelajaran juga harus berdasarkan suatu kurikulum dan silabus, sebagai pedoman bagi para pengajar. Tujuannya adalah agar kegiatan pembelajaran dapat lebih terstruktur dan dapat meningkatkan motivasi, kepercayaan diri dan penguasaan bahasa pemelajar.

This thesis analyses the application of teaching and learning methods at one of the English course in Kampung Inggris Pare using a camp concept, named Kursus X, from the point of view of the Community Language Learning approach. This study is a quantitative research with a descriptive analytical design. The data of the study were gained from the observation of the teaching and learning process in the classroom and the interaction of the students in the camp. Besides, the data were also gained from interviews with the head of the course, the teachers and the students, and from the students? questionnaire. The result of the study show that the methods applied in the Kursus X were not based on established language teaching methods. There are four types of methods identified in Kursus X. Most of the methods use drilling and translation in the application. Moreover, there were a lot of differences between the application of teaching and learning program in Kursus X and the concept of Community Language Learning.
However, the observation result of the students? activities in the camp showed differently. The environment and the activities that the students experienced in the camp could create an intimate relationship between the students? and their teachers, as stated in CLL. The students were encouraged to produce more utterances in the target language in that situation. The findings of this study suggest that the camp program offered, especially the holiday program, should apply interesting and fun activities and teachers should vary their teaching methods. Additionally, application of the teaching and learning process should be based on a wellplanned curriculum and syllabus. This will create structured teaching and learning activities and it also could increase students? self-confidence, motivation and achievement in learning a language.

Metodc pcngumpulan data dengnn menggunakan metode wawancara serta kuesioner bagi para pcngajar untuk didapatkan informasi yang berguna untuk menyuslm materi dari modul pelatihan yang dirancang berdasarkan basil analisa kebutuhan. Rancangan modul pelatihan dirancang beniasarkan hal-hal yang perlu dikembangkan pada para pengajar yang antara lain adalah pcngetahuan dasar mengenai perkembangan anak usia dini, kemampuan merancang pola pengajaran Multiple Intelligences yang sesuai, pengembangan kreativitas pengajar dalam penerapannya serta keterarnpilan dalam mengkornunikasikan perkembangan siswa kepada orang tuanya.

Research Suhjek are instructors in preschool which is applying concept of Multiple Intelligences like Natural School of Bogor and Global of Islamic Labschool Depok. Method data collecting by using method interview and also quesioner to all instructor in order to got information which good for compiling items of designed training module pursuant to result of requirement analysis. Module training device designed pursuant to things required to developed by all instructors which for example; basic knowlcdges concerning growth of age child early, ability design pattem instruction of appropriate Multiple Intelligences, development of instructor creativity in its applying and also skill in communicating growth of student to its old fellow."
