"ABSTRAK
Garam dan lemak merupakan dua substansi yang penting bagi tubuh manusia namun jika jumlahnya berlebih akan mengakibatkan hipertensi dan obesitas yang akan meningkatkan risiko seseorang terpapar penyaki degeneratif. Stres, efikasi diri, dan beberapa faktor lainnya dapat memengaruhi konsumsi garam dan lemak seseorang dengan cara yang berbeda-beda. Studi potong lintang ini bertujuan mengetahui perbedaan stres, efikasi diri, dan faktor lainnya usia, jenis pekerjaan, total asupan energi, IMT, pengetahuan gizi dalam konsumsi garam dan lemak pada pekerja lelaki dewasa di PT X tahun 2018. Responden N = 172 yang dipilih secara acak ditimbang berat badannya, ditanyakan tinggi badan berdasarkan pemeriksaan kesehatan terakhir, diminta mengisi kuesioner mengenai stress PSE , efikasi diri, GSE , dan pengetahuan gizi GNKQ , serta diwawancara 24-hour recall dan FFQ makanan tinggi garam dan lemak. Ditemukan perbedaan stres, jenis pekerjaan, total asupan energi, dan pengetahuan gizi dalam konsumsi garam, namun tidak ditemukan perbedaan faktor-faktor tersebut dalam konsumsi lemak.

ABSTRACT
Salt and fat, both are crucial substances to the human body but if intake is over the limit may cause hypertension and obesity. Futhermore it may also increases the risk of degenerative diseases. Stress, self efficacy, and many more factors may affect one rsquo s salt and fat intake with different ways. This cross sectional study aims to find out the difference of stress, self efficacy and other factors such as age, type of job, total energy intake, BMI, and nutrition knowledge in salt and fat intake among adult male workers at company X in year 2018. Randomized respondents N 172 were weighted, asked height based on the last medical check up, completed questionnaire that tap into stress PSE , self efficacy GSE , and nutrition knowledge GNKQ , and finished with having a 24 hour recall and salty fatty food FFQ interview. Findings indicate difference of stress, type of job, total energy intake, and nutrition knowledge within salt intake, but no within fat intake."

"Obesitas memberikan efek yang merugikan mulai dari peningkatan risiko penyakit tidak menular hingga penurunan produktivitas dalam bekerja. Penelitian ini merupakan studi cross sectional yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya perbedaan faktor-faktor risiko yang bermakna pada kejadian obesitas kalangan pekerja PT X. Populasi penelitian ini adalah pekerja tetap yang terdaftar di PT X dengan sampel sebanyak 89 yang diperoleh dengan metode simple random sampling. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 12-24 Mei 2017 dengan menggunakan instrumen berupa kuesioner, mikrotoa, timbangan digital, dan food models.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 50,6 responden mengalami obesitas. Hasil analisis bivariat menunjukkan bahwa penelitian ini belum dapat membuktikan adanya perbedaan bermakna antara faktor risiko yang diteliti pada kejadian obesitas kalangan pekerja di PT X. Peneliti menyarankan pada PT X untuk menyediakan sarana olahraga bagi pekerja untuk meningkatkan aktivitas fisik dan memberikan fasilitas untuk melakukan pemantauan status gizi.

Obesity has been associated with an increased risk of non communicable disease to decreased productivity in work. This study is a cross sectional that aims to determine the difference of risk factors towards obesity in worker of PT X 2017. Population of this study are a permanent workers in PT X with 89 samples obtained by simple random sampling. This study was conducted on 12 24 May 2017 using instruments such as questionnaires, microtoa, digital scales and food models.
The results showed 50,6 respondents were obese. Through bivariate analysis research showed that was not proven the difference of risk factors towards obesity among workers in PT X. The researcher suggest that PT X can provide sport facilities for workers to increase physical activity and provide facilities to monitor the nutritional status."

"Asupan gula, garam dan lemak melebihi batas yang direkomendasikan beresikomenyebabkan obesitas dan terjadinya penyakit tidak menular seperti diabetes melitus,penyakit jantung, hipertensi, stroke dan kanker. Penyakit tidak menular merupakanpenyebab kematian utama di dunia dan juga di indonesia yang disebabkan salah satunyaoleh perilaku makan yang tidak sehat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahuifaktor dominan asupan gula, garam dan lemak pada siswa-siswi SMA Negeri 3 KotaDepok tahun 2018. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan April-Juni 2018 dengan desaincross sectional dan jumlah sample sebanyak 205 responden. Maka diperoleh hasilanalisis asupan tinggi gula, garam dan lemak sebesar 62,4 dimana asupan gula, garamdan lemak saling berkorelasi. Responden yang obesitas sebesar 4,9 dan kegemukansebesar 14,6 . Sedangkan analisis bivariat ada hubungan yang signifikant antara citratubuh p value = 0,002, OR = 2,611 , emotional eating p value = 0,001, OR = 3,763 ,alasan pemilihan makanan p value = 0,001, OR = 4,646 , sikap terhadap perilaku pvalue = 0,03, OR = 2,011 dan pengaruh keluarga p value = 0,004, OR = 2,505 denganasupan tinggi gula, garam dan lemak. Pada analisis multivariat maka variabel yangpaling dominan adalah emotioanl eating dengan nilai OR 3,35 yang artinya emotionaleating berpeluang 3,35 kali mengonsumsi asupan tinggi gula, garam dan lemak setelahdi kontrol oleh variabel citra tubuh, alasan pemilihan makanan, sikap terhadap perilakudan pengaruh keluarga. Oleh karena itu perlu mengendalikan emotional eatingresponden dengan promosi kesehatan tentang asupan gula, garam dan lemak padakeluarga dan ketersediaan makanan yang sehat baik dirumah dan kantin sekolahsehingga asupan gula, garam lemak dapat dibatasi dan pentingnya memperhatikankomposisi dan zat gizi yang terkandung dalam makanan yang dikonsumsi.Kata kunci:Asupan gula, garam dan lemak, remaja, perilaku makan, emotional eating.

Intake of sugar, salt and fat exceeds the recommended limits at risk of causingobesity and the occurrence of non communicable diseases such as diabetes mellitus,heart disease, hypertension, stroke and cancer. Non communicable diseases are themain cause of death in the world and also in Indonesia caused by one of them byunhealthy eating behavior. The purpose of this study was to determine the dominantfactors of sugar, salt and fat intake in students of senior high school in Depok City. Thisresearch was conducted on April June 2018 with cross sectional design and 205respondents. Analysis results showed high intake of sugar, salt and fat by 62.4 wherethe intake of sugar, salt and fat are correlated. Obese respondents were 4.9 and obesitywas 14.6 . While bivariate analysis there is significant relation between body image pvalue 0,002 , emotional eating p value 0,001 , food selection p value 0,001 ,attitude toward behavior p value 0,03 and family influence p value 0.004 withhigh intake of sugar, salt and fat. In multivariate analysis, the most dominant variable isemotional eating with OR 3.35, which means emotional eating 3.35 times consuminghigh intake of sugar, salt and fat after control by body image variable, food selectionreason, attitude toward behavior and influence of family. Therefore it is necessary tocontrol the emotional eating of respondents with the promotion of health about theintake of sugar, salt and fat in the family and the availability of healthy foods both athome and school canteen so that sugar intake, fat salt can be limited. "Obesitas sentral menjadi masalah utama kesehatan masyarakat yang dapat menjadi faktor risiko dari beberapa penyakit tidak menular yang bersifat kronis yang dapat menyebabkan kesakitan dan kematian bagi banyak populasi di dunia, baik di negara maju maupun berkembang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat perbedaan proporsi kejadian obesitas sentral berdasarkan faktor perilaku konsumsi dan faktor lainnya pada penduduk dewasa (usia 20-45 tahun) di Provinsi Sumatera Utara berdasarkan data Riskesdas 2018. Desain studi penelitian ini adalah cross sectional dengan analisis univariat dan bivariat (chi-square). Data penelitian ini menggunakan data Riskesdas 2018 dengan jumlah sampel sebesar 19.757 responden dewasa usia 20-45 tahun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa prevalensi obesitas pada penduduk dewasa usia 20-45 tahun di Sumatera Utara pada tahun 2018, yaitu sebesar 31,4%. Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan proporsi obesitas sentral yang signifikan ditemukan pada variabel usia, variabel jenis kelamin, varianel pendidikan terakhir, variabel status perkawinan, variabel status pekerjaan, variabel tipe wilayah tempat tinggal, variabel konsumsi makanan berlemak, variabel konsumsi makanan manis, variabel konsumsi minuman manis, variabel konsumsi alkohol, variabel aktivitas fisik, variabel riwayat merokok, variabel kondisi mental emosional (p value<0,05). Optimalisasi kegiatan skrinning obesitas sentral dengan menggunakan metode pengukuran lingkar perut ataupun RLPP dan kegiatan olahraga bersama di Posbindu PTM serta pelaksanaan pola hidup sehat oleh masyarakat seperti makan sesuai anjuran gizi seimbang dan aktif untuk meningkatkan waktu dan frekuensi aktivitas fisik dapat membantu pencegahan obesitas pada penduduk dewasa di Sumatera Utara.

Central obesity is now considered as a mayor public health problem that can be a risk factor of some chronic and non communicable disease that can cause a mortality and morbidity both in developed and developing countries. This study aims to figure out the proportion of central obesity between consumption facktor and the other factors among adult aged 20-45 years old in North Sumatera Province based on Data of Riskesdas 2018. This study used secondary data of Riskesdas 2018 with total sample of 19.757 adults aged 20-45 years old with cross sectional design. Data analysis used chi-square test. The prevalence of central obesity among adults aged 20-45 years old in North Sumatera Province was 31,4%. The result showed that theres a significant difference in proportion of central obesity between variable age, sex, education level, marital status, job type, residence type, fat intake, sweet food intake, sweet beverages intake, alcohol intake, physical activity, smoking status, and mental disorder (p value<0,05). Optimalization of central obesity screening program with waist circumference and RLPP measurement also held sharing physical exercise program in Posbindu PTM along with the society implementing a healthy life such as a balanced nutritional diet and increasing time and frequency for doing physical activity can help to prevent central obesity among adults in North Sumatera Province."

"Latar Belakang: Bekerja di lingkungan offshore berpotensi menimbulkan stres kerja. Menurut penelitian sebelumnya stres kerja dapat meningkatkan kadar glukosa darah, Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi adanya hubungan antara kadar glukosa darah puasa tinggi dan DM dengan stres kerja serta faktor risiko lainnya pada pekerja offshore.
Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross sectional dengan 156 orang responden. Variabel yang diteliti adalah usia, indeks massa tubuh, lingkar perut, dislipidemia,tekanan darah, jabatan pekerjaan, masa kerja, dan stres kerja. Data diperoleh dari penilaian tingkat stress melalui Survei Diagnostik stres dan hasil medical check up tahun 2017. Analisis data menggunakan univariat, bivariat, dan multivariat dengan regresi logistik.
Hasil: Prevalensi glukosa darah puasa tinggi dan diabetes mellitus sebesar 12.2 . Berdasarkan uji Fisher terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara usia, dislipidemia, jabatan pekerjaan dan masa kerja dengan kadar glukosa darah puasa tinggi dan Diabetes Mellitus , namun pada analisis multivariat hanya faktor jabatan pekerjaaan supervisor merupakan yang paling dominan mempengaruhi dgn OR=7,051 95 CI 1,963-25,325. Tidak ditemukan adanya hubungan antara hasil SDS dengan kadar glukosa darah tinggi dan DM.
Kesimpulan dan saran: Faktor risiko paling dominan terhadap glukosa darah puasa tinggi dan diabetes mellitus adalah faktor jabatan pekerjaan oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan hal-hal sebagai berikut, yaitu skrining hasil MCU untuk pekerja khususnya jabatan supervisor, melakukan pemeriksaan berkala kadar glukosa darah, memperbanyak aktivitas fisik ketika bekerja dilapangan serta program peningkatan kesadaran kesehatan, terutama mengenai pencegahan penyakit Diabetes Mellitus.

Background: Working in offshore environments where workers are placed in remote locations will potentially cause work stress. According to previous researches, work stress can increase blood glucose levels. This study aims to prove Relation of High Fasting Blood Glucose level and DM with Job Stress and Other Risk Factors In Offshore Workers.
Method: This study used cross sectional design with total 156 respondents. The studied variables were age, body mass index, abdominal circumference, dyslipidemia, and blood pressure as well as job risk, job position, working period, and work stress. The tools used to evaluate the stress level were Stress Diagnostic Survey and results of periodic Medical Check up in 2017. The analysis of research data used univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis with logistic regression.
Study Results: The prevalence of high fasting blood glucose anad Diabetes Meliitus is 12,2 . Using Fisher statistic test, an association was found between age, dyslipidemia, job position,woking period and high fasting blood glucose or diabetes mellitus. But multivariate analyses showed that only job title supervisor is the most dominant influential factor Oradj 7,051 95 CI 1,963 25,325. There was no correlation between SDS results with high fasting blood glucose level and DM.
Conclusion and Suggestion: The employee's job function is the most dominant factor in high fasting blood glucose Diabetes Mellitus, therefore it is important to conduct several activities such as screening on MCU record, particularly on Supervisors conducting routing blood glucose check increasing physical activities at work and carrying out the health awareness program, especially awareness on DM prevention.

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan proporsi kelelahan fisik pada pekerja PT. X. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain studi cross sectional. Pengumpulan data dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei-Juni 2015 di PT. X. Data diperoleh melalui pengisian kuesioner yang diisi secara mandiri, pengukuran antropometri, dan 24H food record dengan jumlah sampel 126 responden. Analisis data menggunakan uji Chi-square untuk melihat perbedaan proporsi antara variabel independen dengan variabel dependen.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan proporsi antara asupan protein (P value =0,049), konsumsi air putih (P value=0,022), dan status merokok (P value=0,027) dengan kelelahan fisik. Sebaiknya perusahaan menyediakan botol untuk menampung urin, sehingga pekerja dapat mengukur warna urin dan mengetahui kecukupan konsumsi air putih selama bekerja.

This study aims to describe the proportional difference between fatigue, physical fatigue of worker in PT. X. This study is a quantitative study using cross-sectional study design. The data were collected in May-June 2015. The data were collected by using self-administered questionnaire, anthropometric measurement, and 24H food record involving 126 respondents. The data were analyzed using Chi-square test to describe the proportion difference between the independent variables and the dependent variables.
The result shows that t there are proportional differences between protein intake (P value=0,049), mineral water consumption (P value=0,022), smoking status (P value=0,027), and physical fatigue. The company is suggested to be more concerned regarding the menu in the canteen. Furthermore, the worker are suggested to be more active like increase their exercise frequency and routine by using the facilities in the company. The company should provide a bottle to accommodate the urine , so that workers can measure the color of the urine and aware of the sufficiency of white water consumption during work.

Menurut beberapa studi penelitian yang dilakukan, kejadian hiperurisemia sering terjadi pada pekerja pabrik, terkhusus pekerja pabrik yang bekerja di lingkungan kerja panas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara usia, status gizi (IMT), asupan gizi (purin dan protein), merokok, konsumsi air putih, konsumsi alkohol, konsumsi kopi, konsumsi soft drinks, dan suhu lingkungan kerja dengan kejadian hiperurisemia pada pekerja pabrik PT. X Cikarang tahun 2015. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi cross sectional dengan metode sampel acak sederhana (simple random sampling). Sampel yang diteliti adalah pekerja pabrik PT. X Cikarang dengan total 152 sampel. Data dikumpulkan dengan cara pengumpulan data rekam medis dan pencatatan suhu lingkungan kerja pabrik, serta pengisian kuesioner mandiri dan wawancara FFQ semikuantitatif. Hasil uji chi square menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara IMT, asupan protein hewani dan konsumsi air putih dengan kejadian hiperurisemia (p-value< 0,05). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat 23% pekerja pabrik mengalami hiperurisemia.

"Diabetes mellitus, penyakit degeneratif yang terjadi akibat resistensi insulin pada sel tubuh, menyebabkan beberapa penyakit komordibitas dan sindrom metabolik seperti obesitas sentral. Obesitas sentral pada diabetisi dapat dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor seperti asupan, gaya hidup dan lain-lain. Skripsi ini bertujuan untuk melihat perbedaan obesitas sentral berdasarkan asupan energi dan faktor lainnya pada diabetisi. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada diabetisi di Puskesmas Jatinegara pada bulan April 2017. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan metode Cross-sectional dengan jumlah sampel 133 orang. Lingkar perut ditentukan berdasarkan pengukuran dengan menggunakan pita ukur, aktivitas fisik dan kebiasaan makan diketahui melalui kuesioner aktivitas fisik GPAQ, food recall 24 jam dan Food Frequency Questionnaire FFQ.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan pengukuran lingkar perut sebanyak 85 diabetisi mengalami obesitas sentral. Uji Independent T-Test menyatakan bahwa variabel asupan lemak, kebiasaan sarapan dan tingkat pengetahuan memiliki perbedaan bermakna dengan obesitas sentral. Untuk menurunkan angka obesitas sentral pada diabetisi, disarankan untuk diberikan edukasi mengenai obesitas sentral dan pola makan pada diabetisi.

Diabetes mellitus is a degenerative disase caused by insulin resistance in body cells, it will also causes some diseases of comordibity and metabolic syndrome such as abdominal obesity. Abdominal obesity in diabetics can be influenced by various factors such as food intake, lifestyles and others. This undergraduate thesis aims to see the difference between abdominal obesity based on energy intake and other factors in diabetics. This study was conducted on diabetics in Puskesmas Jatinegara in April 2017. The design of this study used Cross sectional method over 133 people as sample size. Abdominal circumference is determined by measurement using measuring tape, physical activity and eating habits throughout GPAQ Physical Activity Questionnaire, 24 hour Food Recall and Food Frequency Questionnaire FFQ.
The results showed that based on abdominal circumference measurements as much as 85 of diabetics are abdominal obesity. The Independent T Test stated that the variable fat intake, breakfast habits and knowledge level had significant differences with abdominal obesity. In order to reduce abdominal obesity rates in diabetics, it is advisable to promote the education on abdominal obesity and diet for diabetics.

"Kecukupan energi maupun protein tergolong kurang dapat memberikan dampak yang merugikan bagi tumbuh kembang, status gizi, perilaku makan yang terbentuk, dan kesehatan dari siswa sekolah dasar. Kecukupan energi dan protein seorang anak dapat dipengaruhi oleh konsumsi, pengetahuan gizi, dan sosial ekonomi keluarga. Untuk melihat perbedaan proporsi kecukupan energi dan protein berdasarkan faktor tersebut, dilakukan penelitian studi cross-sectional dengan menggunakan data sekunder tahun 2018. Penelitian melibatkan 92 siswa/i SD X Jakarta Timur. Ditemukan proporsi kecukupan energi dan protein tergolong kurang secara berurutan sebesar 58,7% dan 55,4%. Hasil analisis dengan chi-square menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan proporsi kecukupan energi maupun protein berdasarkan faktor konsumsi, yaitu keragaman konsumsi pangan (p­-value=0,013 dan p-value=0,014), frekuensi konsumsi makanan utama (p­-value=0,003 dan p-value=0,000), dan konsumsi makanan utama pagi (p-value=0,007 dan p-value=0,000). Meskipun tidak ditemukan perbedaan proporsi, kecenderungan proporsi kecukupan energi dan protein masih ditemukan berdasarkan frekuensi jajan dan uang jajan. Penelitian juga menemukan sedikit kecenderungan proporsi kecukupan protein berdasarkan pengetahuan gizi. Dengan begitu, konsumsi (keragaman konsumsi pangan, frekuensi konsumsi makanan utama, konsumsi makanan utama pagi, frekuensi jajan), pengetahuan gizi, dan sosial ekonomi keluarga (uang jajan) merupakan faktor penting yang perlu dipertimbangkan dalam upaya mengoptimalkan kecukupan energi dan protein siswa/i.

Energy and protein inadequacy are capable of giving adverse impacts on primary schoolers’ growth and development, nutritional status, formed eating behavior, and health. Energy and protein adequacy themselves may influenced by consumption, nutritional knowledge, and family’s socioeconomic status. In order to assess the differences of energy and protein adequacy proportion based on those factors, a cross-sectional study using 2018 secondary data analysis was conducted. This study involved 92 SD X Jakarta Timur students. There were 58,7% and 55,4% students with energy and protein inadequacy. The result of chi-square analysis indicated that there were differences of energy and protein adequacy proportion based on consumption, those are food diversity (p-value=0,013 and p-value=0,014), meal frequency (p-value=0,003 and p-value=0,000), and morning meal consumption (p-value=0,007 and p-value=0,000). Even though no proportion differences found, the tendencies of energy and protein adequacy proportion based on snacking frequency and students’ allowance were still found in this study. This study also discovered a slight tendency of protein adequacy proportion based on nutrition knowledge. Therefore, consumption (food diversity, meal frequency, morning meal consumption, snacking frequency), nutrition knowledge, and family’s socioeconomic status (students’ allowance) are essential factors that need to be considered in order to improve students’ energy and protein adequacy."

"Latar belakang : Hasil pemeriksaan kesehatan terhadap 544 karyawan PT. X yang dilaksanakan pada tahun 2007 menemukan 18 kasus DM (5,66%). Pada PT. X diketabui pula diterapkan pola shift. Beberapa literatur menyebutkan babwa terdapat hubungan antara faktor shift dengan risiko DM. Permasalahannya apakah tingginya prevalensi DM di PT. X berhubungan dengan shift yang diterapkan pada PT. X ?. Dilakukannya penelilian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh shift terhadap risiko Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 pada Pekerja Pabrik Baterai PT. X.
Metode penelitian : Desain penelilian yang digunakan adahah studi potong lintang. Jumlah sampel yang diambil adalah total sampel berjumlah 544 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan kuesioner, wawancara, pemeriksaan kadar glukosa darah TTGO dan pemeriksaan fisik, yang meliputi pengukuran tekanan darah, berat badan, dan tinggi badan. Penilaian kadar glukosa darah TTGO dilakukan sesuai prosedur pemeriksaan. Analisis bivariat dilakukan untuk melihat hubungan antara faktor-faktor penyebab diabetes, seperti usia, jenis kelamin, masa kerja, shift, gizi, latihan jasmani, riwayat DM dalam keluarga, hipertensi, dan merokok terbadap risiko Diabetes Metitus Tipe 2. Analisis regresi logistik digunakan untuk melihat secara simultan faktor-faktor risiko dan perancu terhadap risiko DM tipe 2.
Hasil penelilian : Didapatkan responden sebanyak 366 pekerja dari total populasi 544 pekerja. Responden yang menderita DM ditemukan sebanyak 81 orang, dengan komposisi terbanyak berusia > 45 (50,6%), dengan nilai P=0,707 dan OR=1,171; lakilaki (97,5%), dengan nilai P=0,511 dan OR=0,566; masa kerja > 20 tabun (70,4%), dengan nitai P=0,694 dan OR=1,114; 72 respenden bekerja dengan shift (88,9%). dengan nilai P=0,012 dan OR = 2,704; 55 responden menderita obesitas (67,9%), dengan nilai P=0,001 dan OR = 2,384; 47 responden memiliki riwayat DM dalam keluarga (62,7%) dengan nilai P=0,000 dan OR=14,299; 40 respponden tidak melakukan latihan jasmani setidaknya l (satu) kali dalam 1 (sata) minggu (49,4%) dangan nilai P = 0,020 dan OR = 0,673; 13 responden menderita hipertensi (16,0%) dengan nilai P=0,648 dan OR=0,857; serta 28 responden perokok (34,6%) dengan nilai P=0,381 dan OR=1,264.
Kesimpulan : Prevalensi Diabetes Melitus responden pabrik baterai PT. X, Jakarta sebesar 22,1%. Prevalensi Diabetes Melitus pada responden dengan shift (8&,9%) lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan responden tanpa shift (11,1%) serla berbeda secara bermakna. Pekerja dengan shift mempunyai fisiko menderita Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2 sebesar 2,704 kali dibandingkan dengan pekerja tanpa shift. Faktor riwayat DM dalam keluarga, shift, dan gizi berhubungan bermakna terhadap risiko Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2. Sedangkan faktor-faktor lainnya seperti USIa, jenis keiamin, masa kerja dengan shift, latihan jasmani, hipertensi, dan merokok tidak mempunyai hubungan yang bermakna dengan kejadian Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2.

Background : Result of medical examination of 544 employees from Battery Company "X" in 2007 found that 18 cases suffer from type 2 DM (5,66%). Company "X" applied shift work system. Many literature mentioned the correlation between shift work with the risk of type 2 DM. The question is highly prevalence of type 2 DM in company "X" related with the shift work applied? This study aims to find correlation between shift and other causative factors with the risk of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.
Methods : The design of study used was cross sectional study. The number of sampled was involved 544 people. The data were collected by questionnaire, interview, examination of TTGO blond glucose, and physical examination, included measuring blood pressure, body weight and height. Standard procedure of TTGO blood glucose was used. Bivariate analysis was applied to look at the causative factors such as age, sex, work with shift year, shift work, exercise, nutrition status, history of DM in family, hypertension, and smoking with the risk of type 2 DM. In line with the analysis, the regression logistic analysis was used to look out risk factors and confounding factors simultaneously with risk of type 2 DM.
Result: The number of sample involved was 366 employees. It was found that 81 people suffer from type 2 DM, with majority of respondents belonged to the age over 45 years (50.6%;P =0.707 and OR= 1.171); male respondent (97.5%;P=0.511 and OR= 0.566); work with shift over 20 years (70.4%;P= 0.694 and OR=1.114); 72 respondents work with shift (88.9%;P= 0.012 and OR=2.704); 55 respondents with obesity (67.9%;P=0.001 and OR=2.384); 47 respondents with history of DM in family (62.7%;P=0.000 and OR=14.299); 40 respondents never had exercise in a week (49.4%;P=0.020 and OR=0.673); 13 people with hypertension (16.0%;P=0.648 and OR=0.857); 28 people were smoker (34.6%; P=0.381 and OR=1.264).
Conclusion: Type 2 DM prevalence among workers of battery company "X", Jakarta was 22,1%. Prevalence of type 2 DM among shift workers (88.9%) were higher than workers without shift (11,1%). Shift workers were much more susceptible to type 2 DM than workers without shift. History of DM in family, shift work, and nutrition status had significant correlation with the risk of type 2 OM. Age, sex, work with shift, weekly exercize, hypertension, and smoking did not have significant correlation with the risk of typa 2 DM.
