"Tesis ini meneliti perlawanan terhadap dominasi tersamar melalui novel gratis berjudul Persepolis: 77ze Story of A Childhood karya Marjane Satrapi. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan paradigma konstruktivis-kritis. Kemudian, semiotik Roland Barthes digunakan untuk menganalisis tiga subjudul yang ada dalam buku komik tersebut, yaitu The Veil, The Trip, dan Kim Wilde, sehingga akan terungkap mitos di balik itu. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa komik tidak hanya sebagai alat penyebar hegemoni, tetapi alat untuk melawan adanya hegemoni itu sendiri. Melalui penggambaran kembaii hegemoni dan penggambaran perlawanan terhadap hegemoni, komik menjadi alat untuk melawan hegemoni terhadap kelas berkuasa di Iran yang mengeluarkan kebijakan kewajiban memakai jilbab untuk perempuan.

This thesis examine resistance of hidden domination through grapich novel Persepolis: The Story of A ChiI$xood by Marjane Satrapi. This research is qualitative method with critical-eonstructionism paradigm. Then, semiotic of Roland Barthes is used to reveal myth in three subtitle (The Veil, The Trip, and Kim Wilde) of the comic.

The result of this research reveal that comic was not only a tool to spread hegemoni, but a tool to resist that hegernoni. From repeatedly description of hegemoni and resistance of that hegemoni, comic become tool to resist hegemoni to powerful class in Iran which made a policy about obligation of wear veil to Iran’s woman."

"Abstrak. Makalah ini membahas mengenai bagaimana proses komodifikasi karya sastra Wattpad dengan judul Nonversation. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma kritis, dengan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penelitian studi kasus. Dilakukannya penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses komodifikasi yang terjadi pada karya sastra Wattpad berjudul Nonversation dan kaitannya terhadap perubahan pada industri penerbitan buku. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dengan menggunakan konsep komodifikasi milik Mosco, terdapat tiga bentuk komodifikasi yang terjadi: (1). Komodifikasi konten terjadi melalui proses penulisan yang dilakukan melalui unsur-unsur cerita untuk menarik pembaca; (2). Komodifiksi khalayak terjadi ketika pembaca tidak dapat melepaskan dirinya dan menjadikan novel sebagai bagian dari kesehariannya; (3) Komodifikasi pekerja dimana penulis mengapitalisasi kemampuannya untuk menciptakan karya sastra sebagai bentuk dari labour-power. Model Arena Produksi Kultural juga digunakan untuk mengkaji Wattpad sebagai agen yang mendominasi dalam industri penerbitan buku.

Abstract. This paper discusses the process of commodification of Wattpad story, Nonversation. This study uses a critical paradigm, with a qualitative approach and case study research methods. The purpose of this research is to find out how the commodification process that occurs in Wattpad's literary work and its relation to the changes in the book publishing industry. Based on the research results, using Mosco's concept of commodification, there are three forms of commodification that occurs: (1). The commodification of content occurs through the writing process which is carried out through story elements to attract readers; (2). The commodification of audiences occurs when the reader cannot let go of themself and makes the novel a part of his daily life; (3) The commodification of workers where the author capitalizes their own ability to create literary works as a form of labour-power. Bourdieu’s The Cultural Production Arena model is also used to examine Wattpad as a dominating agent in the book publishing industry."

ABSTRACTThis article will explain about how mental illness is being represented in Its Kind of a Funny Story, a young adult novel about depression. Through textual analysis, it is found that the novel treats depression as a serious medical illness and, by using Marcias identity statuses model, proposed an idea that depression may be caused by an undergoing adolescent identity formation. However, there are two limitations in this research: depression in non-white and/or underprivileged, as well as female characters, are not discussed. These limitations may serve as a research gap for future research."

"Skripsi ini berisi tentang jenis cerita detektif yang terdapat di dalam novel Статский Советник /Statskij Sovetnik/ Penasihat Negara karya Boris Akunin. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif-analitis dan mengaitkannya dengan teori sekuen, teori sintagmatik dan paradigmatik, serta teori jenis cerita detektif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, telah dibuktikan bahwa novel Статский Советник /Statskij Sovetnik/ Penasihat Negara karya Boris Akunin termasuk ke dalam jenis cerita detektif the suspense karena memiliki kaidah-kaidah yang terdapat dalam jenis tersebut, yaitu terdapat misteri, memiliki alur ganda, terdapat masalah percintaan, dan tokoh detektifnya tidak memiliki imunitas.

This thesis consist of detective story type contained in the novel Статский Советник /Statskij Sovetnik/ The State Councellor written by Boris Akunin. The method used in this thesis is descriptive-analytical and relate it to the theory of sequence, theory of syntagmatic, and paradigmatic,and also the type of detective story. Based on the analysis, it has been proved that novel Статский Советник /Statskij Sovetnik/ The State Councelor by Boris Akunin included in "the suspense" type of detective story because it has the characteristics of that type. It has a mystery, has a double groove, there are issues of romance, and his detective character does not have immunity."

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan pengaruh stratifikasi sosial terhadappercintaan antara Harjo dan Artanti di dalam novel Ketemu Suwiraning Daging. Metode yangdigunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif-analisis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwadi dalam kehidupan, perbedaan stratifikasi sosial tidak dapat menghalangi hubungan kasih asmara.
