"Skripsi ini mengkaji tentang pembentukan body image anggota cover dance VERMILION yang mengidolakan SNSD. Melalui wawancara mendalam dan pengamatan saya berusaha mengetahui body image anggota VERMILION yang terbentuk berdasarkan pengetahuan mereka mengenai SNSD. Anggota VERMILION memanfaatkan media untuk mencari informasi tentang SNSD. Pengetahuan tentang SNSD mempengaruhi pandangan anggota VERMILION tentang body image, sehingga kriteria kecantikan mereka mengacu pada gambaran tubuh anggota SNSD. Anggota VERMILION melakukan perbandingan tubuhnya dengan tubuh SNSD, kemudian menyadari kenyataan bahwa bentuk tubuhnya berbeda dengan tubuh SNSD dan menyebabkan mereka mengalami body dissatisfaction. Berbekal pengetahuan yang diperoleh dari orang terdekat, artikel tentang kecantikan, dan film tentang kecantikan mereka melakukan perubahan bentuk tubuh. Anggota VERMILION juga melakukan peniruan penampilan idola ketika menjadi cover dance dan ketika tidak menjadi cover dance. Hal ini dilakukan untuk memperlihatkan bahwa mereka adalah cover dance dan fans dari SNSD.

This study examines the forming of body image of VERMILION cover dance members who love SNSD. In depth Interviews and observations were conducted to reveal the body image of VERMILION members which was formed based on their knowledge regarding SNSD. VERMILION members use media to search information regarding SNSD. The knowledge regarding SNSD affects VERMILION members rsquo s point of view regarding body image. As the result, the beauty criteria of VERMILION members refer to SNSD members rsquo s body image. VERMILION members compare their body with SNSD members rsquo s body. They found the fact that their shape of body is different from SNSD members rsquo s body which causes body dissatisfaction. The knowledge which is gained from relatives, beauty articles, films regarding beauty becomes a base in forming body image. VERMILION members also imitate their idol rsquo s appearance whether they become a cover dance or not. This matter is conducted to show that they are the cover dance and fans of SNSD."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tentang gambaran citra tubuh remaja yang mengidolakan tokoh idola. Citra tubuh merupakan persepsi individu dan orang lain tentang bentuk dan ukuran tubuh individu. Remaja biasanya mengharapkan ukuran dan bentuk tubuhnya menjadi ideal seperti apa yang sering dilihatnya, salah satunya tokoh idola. Metode penelitian deskriptif sederhana dengan teknik pengambilan sampel secara acak sederhana pada 224 remaja dan menggunakan Contour Drawing Rating Scale sebagai instrumen penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 89,3% remaja yang mengidolakan tokoh idola di SMAN 1 Depok memiliki citra tubuh positif. Pemahaman tentang citra tubuh perlu diberikan kepada remaja seperti di lingkungan sekolah agar remaja mengerti perubahan-perubahan yang terjadi pada tubuh beserta dampaknya.

This study aimed to identify the overview of body image in adolescents who idolize idols. Body image is the perception of the individual and others about individual?s body shape and size. Teens usually expect their body shape and size to be ideal as what they used to watched, like idols. Simple descriptive study with simple random sampling technique to 224 students and used the Contour Drawing Rating Scale as an instrument of research. The result showed 89,3% of teens who idolize idols in SMAN 1 Depok have a positive body image. Understanding of body image needs to be given to adolescents in the school environment in order to understand the changes that occur in the body and the impacts."

"Skripsi ini membahas tentang motivasi yang dimiliki oleh anggota dance cover. Dance cover adalah usaha untuk menampilkan tarian yang semirip mungkin dengan tarian yang dilakukan artis yang ditiru. Dance cover seringkali dianggap buruk bagi orang yang tidak mengetahuinya. Seringkali para anggota dance cover mendapatkan hal yang tidak menyenangkan seperti cibiran. Tindakan kurang menyenangkan dan penolakan yang dialami anggota dance cover juga berasal dari orang terdekat mereka. Penolakan dapat memunculkan motivasi seseorang untuk tetap menjadi anggota dance cover. Anggota dance cover memilih bertahan dalam komunitasnya karena mereka merasa lebih diterima di komunitas tersebut dan bisa mengekspresikan diri mereka tanpa harus mendapatkan penolakan. Faktor lain yang membuat mereka bertahan manjadi seorang dance cover adalah motivasi yang mereka miliki untuk membuktikan kepada orang-orang yang mencibir mereka, rasa sense of community yang dimiliki terhadap komunitas mereka, dan masih ada keinginan mereka yang belum tercapai. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yaitu melalui observasi dan wawancara mendalam terhadap tiga orang anggota dance cover yang telah berkarir lebih dari lima tahun. Informan dari penelitian ini adalah anggota dance cover dari sebuah grup bernama BTAce.

This thesis discusses the motivation possessed by dance cover members. Dance cover is an attempt to perform a dance that is as similar as possible to the dances performed by artists who are copied. Dance cover is often considered bad for people who don't know it. Often the cover dance members get things that are not fun like scorn. Unpleasant actions and rejection experienced by dance cover members also come from the people closest to them. Rejection can bring up one's motivation to remain a dance cover member. Dance cover members choose to stay in their community because they feel more welcome in the community and can express themselves without having to get rejected. Another factor that makes them survive being a dance cover is the motivation they have to prove to the people who pout them, the sense of community they have towards their community, and their desires are still not achieved. This study uses a qualitative approach through observation and in-depth interviews of three dance cover members who have worked for more than five years. The informants of this study were dance cover members of a group called BTAce."

"Skripsi ini menjelaskan tentang makna kegiatan Dance Cover dalam kehidupan komunitas cinta. Keterlibatan seseorang dengan kegiatan Dance Cover akan memberikan mereka pengalaman dalam kegiatan tersebut. Pengalaman ini akan mempengaruhi mereka dalam memaknai Dance Cover dalam kehidupan mereka. Makna dari kegiatan Dance Cover ini juga memungkinkan seseorang untuk telah melakukan ini selama bertahun-tahun. Anggota dapat bertahan karena mereka merasa lebih diterima oleh masyarakat dan dapat bebas berekspresi dan menjadi diri sendiri sendiri, hal ini dapat terjadi karena adanya rasa kebersamaan dalam masyarakat bahwa. Faktor lainnya adalah rasa semangat menjalani hidup karena adanya kegiatan Dance Cover dan kegiatan tersebut menjadi wadah untuk berkembang jaringan pertemanan. Makna dari kegiatan Dance Cover ini juga mengangkat berdampak pada kehidupan anggota. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Penelitian kualitatif dilakukan dengan melakukan observasi, wawancara dengan empat orang Anggota Dance Cover yang telah melakukan kegiatan ini selama lebih dari 9 tahun. Informan dari penelitian ini adalah anggota dari grup Dance Cover FLAME.

This thesis describes the meaning of Dance Cover activities in the life of the love community. Someone's involvement with Dance Cover activities will give them experience in these activities. This experience will influence them in interpreting Dance Cover in their lives. The meaning of this Dance Cover activity also allows one to have been doing this for years. Members can survive because they feel more accepted by society and can freely express and be themselves, this can happen because of a sense of togetherness in that community. Another factor is a sense of enthusiasm for life because of the Dance Cover activity and this activity is a place to develop a network of friends. The meaning of this Dance Cover activity also raises impact on members' lives. This study used a qualitative research approach. This research was conducted by observing and interviewing four Dance Cover Members who have been doing this activity for more than 9 years. Informant from this study is a member of the Dance Cover group FLAME.

"Body image didefinisikan sebagai suatu gambaran mental seseorang mengenai bentuk dan ukuran tubuhnya, serta bagaimana individu tersebut mempersepsikan dan memberikan suatu penilaian tentang apa yang dipikirkan dan dirasakan terhadap bentuk dan ukuran tubuhnya. Obesitas merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan dengan tingkat prevalensi cukup tinggi di Indonesia.  Adanya masalah obesitas pada remaja tentunya juga dapat dipicu oleh berbagai faktor salah satunya adalah terkait dengan bagaimana seorang remaja mempersepsikan gambaran tubuhnya sendiri (body image). Prevalensi obesitas pada mahasiswa S-1 Reguler  FKM UI angkatan 2019 bisa dikatakan masih cukup tinggi, yaitu sebesar 21 %. Sedangkan pada mahasiswa S-1 Reguler FKM UI angkatan 2022, besar prevalensi obesitas sudah mencapai di angka 18 %. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang memiliki tujuan untuk menggali informasi secara mendalam terkait faktor yang dapat berperan penting terhadap pembentukan persepsi body image pada mahasiswa S-1 Reguler FKM UI Tahun 2023. Informan pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa aktif FKM UI, kerabat/sahabat terdekat mahasiswa FKM UI, ahli gizi, ahli psikologi, serta ahli antropologi. Pemilihan informan pada penelitian  adalah dengan menggunakan  metode purposive sampling yang sudah ditentukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor psikologis (sikap, motif, pengalaman) dan faktor sosial (dukungan sosial, paparan media sosial, pola asuh orang tua) berperan penting terhadap pembentukan persepsi body image pada mahasiswa. Dimana persepsi terhadap tubuh juga berkaitan dengan gaya hidup sehat dan kondisi kesehatan mental mahasiswa itu sendiri. Oleh karena itu, disarankan kepada Klinik Satelit Makara UI dan organisasi kesehatan di UI untuk mengoptimalkan dalam hal mensosialisasikan pentingnya mahasiswa untuk memiliki kesadaran terkait dengan bentuk tubuh ideal.

Body image is defined as a person's mental image of the shape and size of his body, as well as how the individual perceives and gives an assessment of what is thought and felt about the shape and size of his body. Obesity is a health problem with a high prevalence rate in Indonesia. The problem of obesity in adolescents, of course, can also be triggered by various factors, one of which is related to how a teenager perceives his own body image (body image). The prevalence of obesity in FKM UI Regular Undergraduate students class of 2019 can be said to be still quite high, namely 21%. Whereas in FKM UI Regular Undergraduate students class of 2022, the prevalence of obesity has reached 18%. This research is a qualitative research which aims to dig up in-depth information regarding factors that can play an important role in the formation of body image perceptions in FKM UI Regular Undergraduate students in 2023. Informants in this study are active FKM UI students, relatives/closest friends of students FKM UI, nutritionists, psychologists, and anthropologists. The selection of informants in the study was to use a predetermined purposive sampling method. The results showed that psychological factors (attitudes, motives, experiences) and social factors (social support, exposure to social media, parenting patterns) play an important role in the formation of body perceptions in college students. Where it is felt towards the body is also related to a healthy lifestyle and the mental health condition of the students themselves. Therefore, it is suggested to the Makara UI Satellite Clinic and health organizations at UI to optimize it in terms of socializing the importance of students to have awareness related to ideal body shape."

"ABSTRAKJurnal ini menjelaskan tentang citra tubuh SPG rokok Jaya yang secara tidak langsung dibentuk oleh perusahaan tempat mereka bekerja. Perusahaan Jaya dapat dikatakan sebagai agen konstruksi standar kecantikan, karena menerapkan peraturan penampilan fisik dan melakukan kontrol terhadap penampilan SPG rokok Jaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa para SPG rokok Jaya mematuhi peraturan penampilan fisik Perusahaan Jaya dan membentuk tubuhnya sesuai dengan standar kecantikan Perusahaan Jaya. Kepatuhan para SPG terhadap peraturan penampilan fisik secara tidak langsung membentuk citra tubuh mereka, hal tersebut terlihat dari perubahan citra tubuh ketika sebelum bekerja dan setelah bekerja sebagai SPG rokok Jaya. Penelitian ini menunjukkan kapasitas agensi Perusahaan Jaya dalam mengonstruksi standar kecantikan kepada SPG rokok Jaya.

ABSTRACTThis journal describes the body image of the sales promotion girl of Rokok Jaya. The body image which indirectly constructed by the company can be regarded as a standard construction of the beauty by the agent, which is the company itself. Company as the agent described as they applied and controlled the physical appearance of the sales promotion girl. The results of this research showed that the SPG of Rokok Jaya adhere to the regulation of physical appearance of the company and establish its body in accordance with the standard beauty determined by the company. The compliance of SPG to the regulation of physical appearance indirectly constructs their body image. This can be seen from the change of their conception of body image before and after they join the company. This research shows the capacity of Jaya Company 39 s agency in constructing the standard of beauty to SPG Rokok Jaya. "

"Maraknya paparan terhadap internet dan sosial media, khususnya selama pandemi COVID-19, meningkatkan popularitas Korean Wave di Indonesia. Bertebarnya konten budaya pop Korea di internet dan sosial media meningkatkan penggemar K-Pop. Salah satu selebriti yang berhasil menarik banyak penggemar adalah girl group K-Pop. Tidak hanya remaja laki-laki, girl group K-Pop juga berhasil menarik remaja perempuan untuk menjadi penggemar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara pemujaan selebriti girl group K-Pop dan body dissatisfaction pada remaja perempuan. Partisipan penelitian ini merupakan 418 remaja perempuan berusia 15–19 penggemar girl group K-Pop. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif, non-eksperimental korelasional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan korelasi positif yang signifikan antara pemujaan selebriti komponen entertainment-social (r(418) = 0,120, p<0,01, d=0,242) dan borderline-pathological (r(418) = 0,109, p <0,05, d=0,219) dan body satisfaction. Effect size untuk analisis ini merupakan small effect untuk kedua komponen. Sehubungan dengan tujuan penelitian yang bermaksud untuk melihat body dissatisfaction pada remaja perempuan penggemar girl group K-Pop, hasil penelitian ini mengimplikasikan bahwa pemujaan terhadap girl group K-Pop yang tinggi pada komponen entertainment-social dan borderline-pathological berhubungan dengan menurunnya body dissatisfaction pada remaja perempuan.

The rise of exposure to the internet and social media, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, has increased the popularity of the Korean Wave in Indonesia. The spread of Korean pop culture content on the internet and social media has increased K-Pop fans. The type of celebrity that has managed to attract a lot of fans is the K-Pop girl group. Not only teenage boys, K-Pop girl groups have also succeeded in attracting adolescent girls to become their fans. This study aims to examine the relationship between K-Pop girl group celebrity worship and body dissatisfaction among female adolescents. The participants in this study were 418 female adolescents aged 15–19 who are fans of K-Pop girl groups. This study uses a quantitative research method, non-experimental correlation. The results showed a significant positive correlation between celebrity worship with the entertainment-social component (r(418) = 0,120, p <0,01, d=0,242) and borderline-pathological (r(418) = 0,109, p <0,05, d=0,219) and body satisfaction. The effect size of both components are considered as small effects. According to the research objective, which examines body dissatisfaction among female adolescent fans of K-Pop girl group, the results of this study indicate that worshiping K-pop girl groups, with particularly high in entertainment-social and borderline-pathological components, result in lower body dissatisfaction."

"Skripsi ini mengkaji tentang pengalaman menjadi penari dance cover dan pembentukan communitas di agensi PAOW DC. Melalui wawancara dengan lima anggota PAOW DC dan mengamati perilaku serta aktivitas mereka di komuniti dance cover saya melihat adanya proses belajar, refleksi dan pembagian pengalaman, dalam perilaku kolektif di agensi PAOW DC. Proses belajar terjadi karena anggota PAOW DC menghadapi situasi berbeda dengan kesehariannya yakni proses sosial yang terjadi di komuniti dance cover. Dalam proses tersebut mereka mendapatkan pengalaman individual yang nantinya akan direfleksikan di dalam agensinya. Refleksi dari pengalaman tersebut akan dialami oleh anggota PAOW DC yang lain sehinggga bersifat intersubjektif. Mereka berinteraksi dan membagikan pengalaman kemudian dapat membentuk communitas di agensinya. Hasilnya adalah mereka bisa bertahan pada kerasnya persaingan di komuniti dance cover karena empati, saling terbuka, menghargai, serta ikatan yang kuat antar anggotanya.

This study focus on the experience of being a dance cover performers and forming a communitas at PAOW DC agency. We comprehend the process of learning, reflection and sharing experiences in collective behavior at the PAOW DC agency through interviews with five of their members and observing their behavior and activities in the dance cover community. The learning process occurs as PAOW DC members encounter a different situations from their daily lives, specifically the social processes that ensue in the dance cover community. They gain individual experiences in the process, which will later be reflected in their agency. Reflections from these experiences will be witnessed by other PAOW DC members so that it is tend to be intersubjective. They are interacting and share experiences in forming a communitas within the agency. The outcome is they are able to withstand the intense competition in the dance cover community for their empathy, mutual openness, respect, and strong bonds amongst members."

"Dance Cover merupakan salah satu kegiatan mengikuti gerakan tarian dari para artis K-pop. Anggota dance cover dituntut untuk memiliki kemiripan dari segi gerakan,kostum ,postur tubuh serta ekspresi yang ditampilkan. Namun, perilaku tersebut sering mendapatkan stereotip buruk di dalam masyarakat Indonesia. Oleh karena itu, melalui penelitian yang menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode wawancara mendalam dan pengamatan berperan ini saya akan mencoba untuk melihat identitas dan ekspresi gender serta tanggapan dari keluarga dan teman sebaya terhadap identitas dan ekspresi gender yang mereka tunjukkan. Dari penelitian yang dilakukan terhadap enam orang remaja pria yang mengikuti dance cover terlihat bahwa identitas gender mereka adalah laki-laki,namun mereka mengekspresikan gender mereka secara androgini dan sudah mulai ada keluarga serta teman-teman sebaya mereka yang tidak bermasalah dengan ekspresi gender yang mereka tunjukkan.

Dance cover is one of the activities to follow the dance move from the K-pop artist. All the members of dance cover need to have the similarities in their dance relate to costume, posture and expression with the K-pop who they covered. However their behavior was often get a bad stereotype in Indonesia society. Therefore with this research with using qualitative approach with in-depth interviews and participative observation methods, I will try to describe their identity and gender expression as well as feedback from their family and friends from the identity and gender expression as their appearance. The research was conducted against six boys who followed a dance cover showed that the identity of their gender were a boy but they not expressed their gender as masculine. They express the gender as a androgyny and nowadays their family and some friends not bothered at all with their gender expression that they show up."
