"ABSTRAK
Tesis ini membahas tentang perencanaan komunikasi pemasaran terpadu
untuk sebuah media online. Dalam membuat perencanaan komunikasi
pemasaran kali ini, penulis memulai dengan menganalisa latar belakang,
gambaran industri, kondisi persaingan, serta Updaterus itu sendiri.
Updaterus sebagai portal online yang baru diluncurkan pada pertengahan
2012 harus membuat suatu strategi komunikasi yang efektif dalam
melaksanakan kegiatan promosinya. Penelitian dilanjutkan dengan
menganalisa kondisi internal dan eksternal, pola konsumsi media pada
responden untuk menentukan medium yang efektif dan menentukan tujuan
dari komunikasi. Pada hasil analisa, Internet sebagai medium yang paling
banyak digunakan oleh responden saat ini akan menjadi kunci utama dalam
perumusan strategi komunikasi pemasaran. Kombinasi e-marketing
communication tools disesuaikan dengan model respon hierarchy of effects
akan menjadi rekomendasi bagi Updaterus dalam melaksanakan kegiatan
promosi dalam rangka menaikkan traffic mereka yang nantinya akan
berdampak positif kepada rating website mereka.

ABSTRACT
This thesis discusses an integrated marketing communications plan for an
online media. In marketing communications planning this time, the authors
begin by analyzing the background, industry overview, competitive
situations, and Updaterus itself. Updaterus as an online portal that was
launched in mid-2012 need to make an effective communication strategy in
carrying out promotional activities. Research is continue by analyzing the
internal and external conditions, patterns of media consumption on the
respondent to determine the effective medium also set the objectives of the
communications. In the analysis, the Internet as the medium most used by
respondents at this time will be a key element in the formulation of
marketing communications strategies. The combination of e-marketing
communication tools tailored to the response of the model hierarchy of
effects will be a recommendation for Updaterus in conducting promotional
activities in order to increase their traffic which will have a positive impact
to their website rating."
