"Strong public vocational higher education institution is needed as a key asset in today?s competence-based society, As a Competence Human Resource producer, it's core competence contribute with fundamental and applied knowledge to enhance human resource competencies to meet industry requirement. As a Public Vocational Higher Education Institution, Business Administration Study Program of the Jakarta State Polytechnic still wanted by many candidates students as well as industries.
This research was aimed to identify what is the core competence of Business Administration Study Program of the Jakarta State Polytechnic and how the will use it to exploit any opportunities they have.
Using survey method, 30 person (lecturer and management of the study program ) are given two kind of questionnaire as an instrument to collect data. Quantitative and qualitative methods were employed to analyze data. The research find that there are tive core competencies in Business Administration Program Study, they are; Location, Education System, Teaching Methodology, Ability to profile competencies of industry; ability to develop a competence-based curriculum.
The research also can find a model ofthe root of competitiveness of the program study, start from core competence to end product. Using the core competence, the Business Administration Study Program can develop a new business unit in being a consultant in several area especially in human resource development in business administration area.
However, as a vocational higher education institution, Business Administration Study Program need to develop and improve their physical resources otherwise they will left behind by competitor."

Kabupaten Falcfak juga menghadapi penyusutan kewenangan luas wilayah dan
siunber-surnber pendapatan daerah akibat adanya pemekaran lcabupaten_ Dua hal
di atas, membuat lembaga BAPPEKAB mempunyai tantangan yang cukup berat
dalam merencanakan kegiatan pembangunan daerahnya.
Menghadapi tantangan yang demikian besar, diperlukan Sumber daya
manusia yang tangguh untuk mewujudkan keinginan membangun daerahnya
sendiri. Bupati Fakfak mengeluarkan SK No.18 tahun 2001 yang dapat dnadikan
acuan para stafnya dalam bekerja, dan sekaligus dapat clijaclikan sebagai Core
Competency ideal dalam studi Core Competency existing dicari dengan cara
BEI (Behavioral Event Interview), semua istilah Core Comperency disini
menggunakan LOMA?s Competency Dictionary.
Antara Core Competency ideal dan Core Competency existing terdapat
kesenjangan, narnun demikian Core Competency ideal dapat dijadikan sasaran
antara menuju Core Compelency global sesuai dengan arahan Spencer and
Spencer, bila para pemangku jabatan di BAPPEKAB Fakfak ini benar-benar
hendak go internasional
Perubahan Core Competency akan menyebabkan adanya tuntuan
perubahan dalam rnanajemen Sumber Daya Manusia yaitu tuntutan pernbuatan
spesiiik kompetensi bagi para pernangku jabatan dan program Evaluasi Jabatan,
Rekrulmen dan Seleksi, Sistern Penimbangan Karya, Pelatihan dan
Pengembangan sebagai masa transformasi I yang perlu akan dilanjutkan dengan
pembuatan Rencana Jenjang Karir pada masa transformasi II."

"Emotions are prevalent in the library workplace leading to many questions and areas of analysis worth exploring. For example, what tools for developing emotional intelligence are used effectively in library workplaces? How can emotional labor be managed to minimize the negative effects of emotion work? How can library employees express authentic emotions while still adhering to service expectations? How does dispositional affect how one experiences emotions -- influence relationships in the workplace? What role does emotion play in effective as well as ideal library leadership and management? In this volume, we consider how emotions or related concepts such as affect, mood, or discrete feelings intersect with library administration. Offering eleven chapters ranging through inward reflection to outward practice, fourteen authors explore how theory has been applied in the study of emotion in the library workplace and provide a look at future trends in the area.
