"Mobile technology is continuously evolving towards the development of fourth generation (4G) cellular telephony. Many countries are anticipating such a new technological deployment while developing countries may also see it as the opportunity for catching up. Within the orientation of innovation building, 4G may act as the medium for triggering country’s innovation policies. This paper aims to identify the windows of opportunity from the upcoming implementation of 4G mobile technology. The methodology is constructed based on the perspective of an innovation system in which mobile cellular is regarded as a series of technological innovations. By utilizing the relevant data of 3G and 4G standard development, we predicted the 4G implementation profile. They consist of a set of technologies which can be the main area of science and technology (S&T) as well as research and development (R&D) activities in a developing country. Policymakers may utilize such opportunities to foster the acquisition and generation of the relevant knowledge in both manufacturing and service industries."

"Layanan 4G bukan dongle di Indonesia pertama kali digelar pada tahun 2014 oleh Telkomsel. Layanan 4G bukan dongle di Indonesia hingga saat ini telah disediakan oleh 6 operator seluler. Pengukuran tentang QoE pada layanan 4G di Indonesia belum pernah dilakukan. QoE berbeda dengan QoS, di mana QoS mengukur kualitas layanan berdasarkan parameter teknis jaringan sedangkan QoE mengukur kualitas layanan sesuai dengan persepsi pengguna layanan. Peningkatan pengguna layanan 4G di masa depan memberikan motivasi pengukuran QoE pada layanan 4G saat ini di Indonesia perlu dilakukan.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur layanan 4G di DKI Jakarta sebagai sampel dari populasi penduduk Indonesia. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode survei. Survei menggunakan sampel berupa purposive sampling, metode pengambilan sampel yang dilakukan untuk tujuan meneliti masalah tertentu pada suatu kelompok populasi. Responden survei dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 422 orang dengan kriteria pemakai telepon seluler menggunakan layanan 4G yang beraktivitas di DKI Jakarta.
Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa performa semua operator layanan 4G signifikan berbeda dan lebih baik dibandingkan dengan 3G. Penelitian juga menemukan bahwa 213 responden lebih sering menggunakan telepon seluler sebagai modem/tethering/personal hotspot, 72,75 responden lebih sering melakukan panggilan voice atau video dengan aplikasi text messenger, 188 responden lebih sering menggunakan kamera ponsel disertai peningkatan aktivitas mengakses aplikasi media sosial yang lebih sering dengan menggunakan layanan 4G saat ini dibandingkan dengan saat menggunakan layanan 3G, dan 86 dari 153 responden pengguna Telkomsel menyatakan bahwa tarif layanan 4G Telkomsel mahal.

First 4G mobile service roll out in Indonesia was held in 2014 by Telkomsel mobile operator. 4G mobile services have been provided by 6 mobile operators in Indonesia. A measurement of 4G mobile service Quality of Experience QoE never been conducted in Indonesia. QoE is different from Quality of Service QoS , QoS focuses on technical parameters while QoE focuses on end user perceptive measures. 4G subscribers growth triggers the importance of QoE measurement in Indonesia.
This research aims to measure QoE of 4G in DKI Jakarta as the sample of Indonesian subscribers population. Data is collected by survey method. Survey employed purposive sampling, sampling method that aims to conduct specific reseach issues on a specific population. Survey conducted to 422 respondents with main activity engaged in Jakarta and using any 4G mobile telecommunication operator.
Research found all of Indonesian mobile operators provide 4G mobile service that significance better than the old 3G mobile service. Research also found that 213 respondents use cell phone as personal hotspot, 72,75 respondents call using messenger application, 188 respondents use cell phone camera with increases social media accessing with 4G mobile data service more frequent than 3G data service, and 86 of 153 respondents using Telkomsel service operator state that 4G service tarrif is expensive.

"Penyelenggaraan teknologi 4G LTE yang diselenggarakan oleh operator telekomunikasi termasuk PT XYZ tentunya akan berpengaruh terhadap jaringan transport backhaul terutama dijaringan Low Radio Access Network LRAN . Terdapat beberapa isu yang menjadi kendala dalam implementasi 4G LTE di jaringan LRAN transport backhaul antara lain isu kapasitas. Kapasitas yang dibawa oleh eNodeB ditambah dengan trafik 4G yang terus meningkat menyebabkab jaringan LRAN yang memiliki kapasitas kurang dari 1 Gbps akan menyebabkan high utilization dan berpotensi terjadinya congestion. Selain itu, jaringan transport backhaul harus memenuhi persyaratan dari jaringan 4G LTE yaitu jaringan yang flat/simple dengan sedikit network element di dalamnya. Saat ini, sejumlah besar jaringan existing di PT XYZ bersifat hierarki dengan banyak network element di dalamnya.
Dalam penelitian ini, solusi yang akan diberikan yaitu dengan melakukan swap teknologi microwave access ke serat optik dengan implementasi teknologi baru yaitu Layer 3 Virtual Private Network Mobile Backhaul L3VPN MBH yang mempunyai kapasitas yang besar dan topologi jaringan yang simple/flat dibandingkan dengan teknologi sebelumnya yaitu Layer 2 Virtual Private Network Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol L2VPN MSTP .Laporan penelitian ini menganalisis tingkat profitabilitas dan resiko implementasi teknologi L3VPN MBH pada jaringan transport backhaul PT XYZ di beberapa daerah di Jabodetabek dengan menggunakan metode teknologi ekonomi.
Penelitian dilakukan dengan melakukan identifikasi masalah pada link ndash; link yang mengalami congestion di atas 70 dan sudah dilewatkan trafik 4G. Metode penelitian pada link ndash; link dilakukan untuk menganalisis tingkat perbandingan alternatif profitabilitas dari teknologi L3VPN MBH dibandingkan dengan teknologi terdahulunya yaitu L2VPN MSTP.
Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa implementasi L3VPN MBH mengindikasikan tingkat profitabilitas hasil yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan teknologi L2VPN MSTP berdasarkan nilai Net Present Value NPV > 0, Internal Rate Return IRR > MARR dan Payback Periode PP < 5 tahun. Implementasi L3VPN MBH dengan tingkat profitabilitas paling tinggi dilakukan pada node 1365 dengan model sales yang digunakan pada kondisi pesimis dan nilai NPV sebesar Rp. 618,740,525.6, prosentase keuntungan sebesar 48.68, IRR sebesar 36.92 dan PP sekitar 2.83 tahun. Berdasarkan analisis resiko, trafik payload revenue merupakan parameter paling berpengaruh terhadap nilai NPV dibandingkan dengan MARR dan nilai tukar rupiah untuk teknologi L2VPN MSTP maupun L3VPN MBH.

Deployment of 4G LTE technology by telecommunication operator will affect to backhaul transport network especially in Low Radio Access Network LRAN . There are many issues which become barrier at implementation of LRAN backaul transport network in 4G LTE technology for instance capacity issue. The capacity which was carried by eNodeB added by 4G traffic that increase continuously, cause LRAN with capacity less than 1 Gbps will utilize highly and potential to congest. Moreover, backhaul transport network has to full fill the requirement of 4G LTE technology such as flat simple network with less element. Nowadays, most of existing network in PT XYZ is hierachical including many element network.
This research recommends an alternative by technology swapped from microwave access to fiber optic with deployment a new technology, Layer 3 Virtual Private Network Mobile Backhaul L3VPN MBH technology which has larger capacity and simpler element network compare to previous, Layer 2 Virtual Private Network Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol L2VPN MSTP.
The report is analyzing profitability and risk level of deployment L3VPN MBH technology at backhaul transport network in PT XYZ focus on some areas in Jabodetabek by using techno economic method. The research was started with problem identification of links which occuring congestion higher than 70 and had been carried 4G traffic. Research in each link is used to analyze level of comparison profitability alternative from L3VPN MBH technology beside than L2VPN MSTP.
The result is deployment of L3VPN MBH technology indicates better profitability level which showed by Net Present Value NPV 0, Internal Rate Return IRR MARR and Payback Periode PP 5 years than L2VPN MSTP. Implementation L3VPN MBH with the highest profitability is in 1365 with sales models used in pessimistic conditions and Rp. 618,740,525.6 of NPV, 48.68 of profit, 36.92 of IRR and 2.83 years of PP. Based on risk analysis, payload traffic revenue is the most influential parameter NPV compared to MARR and rupiah exchange rate for L2VPN MSTP and L3VPN MBH technology.

"Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk untuk mengetahui pengaruh Word of Mouth (WOM) terhadap minat beli konsumen pada produk mobile WiFi 4G Bolt. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel dalam penelitian adalah 100 konsumen yang merupakan mahasiswa Universitas Indonesia dengan rentang usia 18-25 tahun, yang pernah terpapar informasi mobile WiFi 4G Bolt dari orang lain dan belum pernah menggunakan produk mobile WiFi 4G Bolt sebelumnya. Metode yang digunakan ialah non-probability sampling serta teknik purposive. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner dan dianalisis menggunakan regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa word of mouth memiliki pengaruh yang cukup kuat terhadap minat beli.

The objective of this research was to analyze the effect of word of mouth communication on consumer purchase intention of mobile WiFi 4G Bolt. This research applied a quantitative approach. The sample of this research was 100 consumers who are students in Universitas Indonesia, with the range of age is 18 to 25 years old, had exposed about mobile WiFi 4G Bolt products? information through communication with other people and have not owned mobile WiFi 4G Bolt before. The method that applied on this research was non-probability sampling and purposive technique. Questionnaires were used on this research as the research instrument and the data was analyzed by simple regression. The result of this research indicated that word of mouth have a significant effect on consumer purchase intention."

"ABSTRAK
This papers main thesis is that frugal innovation and transformational leadership offer
additional sources of growth. Our main contribution is the proposal of what we refer
to as the breakthrough possibility frontier (BPF) model, which integrates two aspects
of leadership: innovation quality (frugal innovation) and leadership competency
(transformational leadership). We test the BPF model on two groups of respondents,
one group consisting of university students who had never been formal leaders
and the other formal leaders who had office experience. The BPF analysis suggests
that transformational leadership is a game changer, required for breakthroughs.
Transformational leadership is key to encouraging innovation quality and leadership
competency and, we argue, to facilitating new sources of growth. Our results imply
the development of an integrated institutional framework for innovation. We believe
that innovative leadership development programs that can be easily implemented
and replicated in other regions are needed to develop transformational leadership
competencies."

"This paper reports the local-innovation perspective for the Indonesian mobile cellular market. Under the local perspective, the innovation opportunity appears when it suit characteristics of the country and the behavior nature of its people such concept is built into realization by making an applications of mobile-herbal (m-herbal) services applications. The service is designed by following the proposed framework, starting from scanning the market demand, defining specific applications, defining the actors, exploration of tacit knowledge of the actors, engineering development, implantation innovation and concurrent innovative development. We used the results of previous market survey emphasizing a need of health-related service for Indonesian market. Herbal remedy was chosen as the focal point of health-related service development since it is well-known indigenous method of treatment by using Indonesian natural ingredients. The service is developed to run on the Android-based smartphone, connects to the database called Indonesian HerbalDB. It consists two main features, i.e. query of herbal remedies and self evaluation assessment. Users of the services may search the names of Indonesian traditional plantation, its local names, and the kind of disease which can be cured. Through the features of self evaluation assessment, users are encouraged to give their personal perception of the herbal remedies, and being the recommendation to other users afterward. Finally, our proposed framework signifies the importance of communications channel among the actors in the mobile cellular facilitating mutual interaction between the multiple actors involved in the mobile herbal development."
