""Never time enough to do it right, but always time enough to do it over." In today's "faster-better-cheaper-at-any-cost" world, this is not just a joke, but an all-too-frequent reality. And, most often, a poor understanding of the requirements for a product is the reason it must be done over. Customer-Centered Products is a highly practical new book that helps readers gain a clear understanding of how to elicit the right requirements early on in a project--and make the right product the first time. Packed with useful information, enlightening real-life examples, and money-saving solutions, this book shows readers how to: * Identify where their current requirements process is weak * Bridge communication breakdowns that lead to muddy requirements * Eliminate costly mistakes and rework * Improve product quality without increasing cost * Use operational concepts to improve requirements quality * Improve the fit between the product and the customers' needs * Prove that faster, better, cheaper is possible, and more.""

""Nine in ten new products undergo a rigorous research and development procedure, require new manufacturing processes -- and still never earn a dime! A major reason for this staggering new product failure rate is the inability of companies to internally transfer products-in-development from one department to the next. This book explains how to remove the barriers from that transfer process and consistently get new products to market one step ahead of the competition. How are today's most successful new product development programs using familiar tools and techniques in new and innovative ways? This timely guide features eye-opening case studies and examples, then helps decision makers visualize a restructured transfer process and quickly develop and implement that process. New Product Development and Delivery will allow managers of any company, regardless of size, to improve profitability, increase competitiveness, and promote teamwork and cooperation throughout the entire organization.""

This research aims to help PT Metal Diameter in preparing proper production plan by applying product mix algorithm and drum buffer rope based on five focusing steps principle from theory of constraints in order to maximize throughput. The method used in this research is descriptive method with the primary data. Production planning based on that method starts with identifying resource constraints. Resource constraints that have been identified will be exploited through product mix algorithm and buffer application, while non-resource constraints will be subordinated to the resource constraints by creating optimal production schedule through the rope application. Furthermore, this study suggests PT Metal Diameter to apply this method in preparing proper production plans because it will be more in line with the actual state of the production line, which have resources with limited capacity and the possibility of internal disturbances (breakdown).
Product failure is the condition of a product that does not desired with our purpose or goal. Failure control of this product is a system for verification and custody / level maintenance of quality desired product or process by careful planning, use of appropriate equipment, continuous inspection, as well as corrective and innovative actions. Four methods will be use for designing and redesigning to improve the tool: focus group discussions, quality function development, manufacture and design of cost and benefit analysis. The advantage of this research is to increase output and improve our profit margins."

ABSTRACTThis paper is focusing solely of the design of product development for U-Magazine lifestyle magazine, In general the term Marketing mix is being used to explain the combination of Product, Price, Place and Promotion that shape the comprehensive marketing system of an organization. As a newly breed of six months old magazine, the biggest challenge for U-Mag would be to provide a product that can live up the expectation of their target market. This !cads to the most important thing that needs to be considered by U-Mag which is the product development elements. There are several ways to develop a certain product One of the most effective ways of doing it is by utilizing consumer insight, that is very useful in obtaining the true picture of the key elements of how consumers respond to U-Mag. These information will be the basis of feedback for U-Mag to develop their product according to the preferences of their target market. "
