"Siswa-siswi yang sebagian besar masih berusia remaja, sangat rentan terhadap tampilan mengenai remaja perempuan ideal. Setidaknya Remaja SMA 1 Depok merupakan remaja yang kelas menengah dan atas. Salah satu media yang tanggap perubahan fashion adalah majalah khususnya pada rubrik fashion. Di sekolah SMA 1 Depok remaja banyak ragam menampilkan berbagai gaya fashion yang menjadi gaya tarik masing-masing.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif , tehnik pengamatan dilakukan dengan cara observasi keadaan sekolah dan wawancara kepada salah satu informan yang gemar, berlangganan membaca majalah. Hasil data penelitian di analisis sesuai sesuai teori atau konsep. Dari hasil penelitian siswa-siswi SMA 1 Depok persepsi media majalah merupakan acuan pertama untuk merubah penampilan dan fashion remaja. Majalah merupakan alasan satu cara Remaja untuk membentuk identitas di sekolah atau di lingkungan masyarakat.

Most of students which are adolescent, are particularly vurnerable to the appearance of ideal female teen. At least, teens at SMA 1 Depok are in a middle and upper class category. One of the up to date information about fashion dynamic is a magazine, especially in a fashion session. At SMA 1 Depok, teens have showed many different styles of fashion which have their own uniqueness. This study is a qualitative research, data collections are done by observing the school condition and indepth interview with the informants who have the qualification reading a magazine. The result of the this research was analized by the suitable theory and conceptual. Based on the result of this research in teens at SMA 1 Depok, magazine perception is a first reference to change the appearance and teens fashion. A Magazine is one of the teens? reason to form an identity at school or the environment.

"Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara optimisme dan self-esteem pada mahasiswa program diploma III kebidanan. Sampel dari penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa program diploma III kebidanan yang berada di wilayah provinsi DKI Jakarta, Jawa Barat, Banten, dan Sumatera Barat. Secara keseluruhan, 571 mahasiswa program diploma III kebidanan berpartisipasi dengan cara mengisi kuesioner optimisme dan self-esteem. Pengukuran optimisme dilakukan dengan alat ukur Life Orientation Test-Revised (LOT-R) yang dikembangkan oleh Scheier, Carver dan Bridges (1994), sementara pengukuran Self-esteem dilakukan dengan alat ukur Rosenberg?s Self-esteem Scale (RSE) yang dikembangkan oleh Rosenberg (1965). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa optimisme dan self-esteem memiliki korelasi positif yang signifikan (r = 0.378, p = 0.000). Hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan bahan pertimbangan baik bagi pihak akademi kebidanan untuk merancang program intervensi guna meningkatkan kualitas calon bidan di Indonesia dengan meningkatkan faktor-faktor internal pada diri mahasiswa kebidanan.

This research was conducted to investigate the correlation between optimism and self-esteem in midwifery college students, diploma III program. Sample from this study are midwifery college students, diploma III program who are in the region DKI Jakarta, West Java, Banten and West Sumatera. Overall, 571 midwefery student was participated in this research by filling out the questionnaire optimism and self-esteem. Optimism was measured by Life Orientation Test-Revised (LOT-R) constructed by Scheier, Carver dan Bridges (1994), while self-esteem was measured by Rosenberg's Self-esteem Scale (RSE) constructed by Rosenberg (1965). The result show that there is a significant positive relationship between optimism and self-esteem (r = 0.378, p = 0.000). Implication of this study is, the result can be considered in designing an intervention program, in order to increase candidates midwife's internal quality in Indonesia.

"Studi ini berusaha mengatasi masalah yang terjadi dalam penelitian kontemporer tentang identitas diri dengan menjelaskan 'identitas diri sebagai hasil kerja sistem representasi' Perspektif ini melibatkan teori diri dialogis, representasi sosial dan teori relasi ohjek yang mempertimbangkan baik realitas individual, sosial dan simbolik.
Penelitian berlangsung di Yogyakarta selama kurang iebih satu tahun (Januari-Desember 2006) dengan melibatkan 7 informan yang berprofesi sebagai SPG (Sales Promotion Girl) dan 625 responden. Informan dan responden berasal dari kalangan wanita muda perkotaan Yqgyakarta yang berstatus mahasiswi, berumur 21-25 tahun dan berasai dari Yogyakarta dan Jawa Tengah. Metode pengumpulan data meliputi metode partisipatif, anilisis media, observasi dan Wawancara mendalam serta penyebaran skala psikologis. Analisis data dilakukan dengan empat metode yaitu analisis diskursus, analisis isi, analisis faktor dan analisis kluster.
Studi ini membuktikan bahwa budaya-konsumsi sangat fberpengaruh besar pada pembentukan identitas diri wanita muda perkotaan Yogyakarta. Namun, mereka mengadopsi budaya konsumsi secara lebih kritis dan cerdas sehingga mcnghasiikan pemaknaan yang baru yang berbeda dengan yang dimaksudkan oleh media maupun industri. Studi ini juga membuktikan bahwa dinamika proses pembentukan identitas diri melalui konsumsi mempakan proses dialektika saling mempengaruhi antara kekuatan masyarakat dan kreativitas individu. Gambaran identitas diri yang dominan pada wanita muda perkotaan Yogyakarta adalah menilai pentingnya ekspresi gaul dengan mcmanfaatkan benda-benda konsumsi sekaligus menekankan pentingnya menjaga harmoni sosial.
Penelitian ini juga memperlihatkan pola konservatif yang diasumsikan di awal studi ada, ternyata tidak ditemukan baik pada informan maupun responden penelitian ini. Pola yang ditemukan adaiah pola emansipatif konsumtif atau masih dalam masa peralihan. Mencermati hasil ini, dapat dikatakan hahwa tidak ada wanita muda perkotaan Yogyakarta yang mampu mengelak dari pengaruh budaya konsumsi.
Penelitian ini juga membuktikan bahwa telah dan sedang terjadi perubahan Kota Yogyakarta yang kini ekspresi masyarakatnya semakin melibatkan pemanfaatan barang konsumsi dan praktik kebertubuhan. Namun, di sisi Iain spirit untuk menjaga harmoni sosial juga masih terjaga. Dengan kecenderungan ini, dapat diprediksikan setidaknya dalam I0 tahun ke depan, Kota Yogyakarta masih tetap memiliki tradisi yang kuat meskipun fasilitas modern semakin banyak. Spirit untuk menjaga harmoni sosial tetap menjadi spirit yang dominan meskipun ekspresi penampilannya semakin diukur dari kepemilikan benda materi.
Penelitian ini hanya terbatas pada konteks wanita muda perkotaan Yogyakarta yang berasal dari suku bangsa Jawa yang berusia 2l-25 tahun. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini tidak bisa digeneralisasikan untuk konteks penelitian yang Iain, baik jenis kelamin dan umur yang lain maupun konteks sosial-budaya yang lain.
Berdasarkan kontribusi teoritik, penelitian ini menyarankan agar kajian di bidang psikologi selalu memahami dan memperhitungkan proses dialektika antara individu dan sosial, antara konstruksi kreatif individu dan konstruksi sosial. Faktor sosial dan individu bukan variabel yang bisa diperlakukan semata-mata individu sebagai variabel yang tergantung dan sosial sebagai variabel bebas, keduanya saling mempengaruhi dalam proses dialektika yang bekerja sebagai siklus yang berulang. Ruang sosial juga dibentuk oleh aktivitas individu, demikian sebaliknya individu juga dipengaruhi oleh kondisi sosial. Dengan kata lain, penelitian ini menyarankan pendekatan penelitian yang bersifat holistik yang mempertimbangkan dialektika antara individu dan sosial.
Berdasarkan kontribusi ap1ikalif, hasil penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa pengaruh budaya konsumsi terhadap pembentukan identitas diri wanita muda perkotaan Yogyakarta sudah tidak mungkin dibendung lagi. Untuk itu Studi ini menyarankan:
Perlama, penting bagi Wanita muda perkotaan khususnya dan anak muda umumnya agar memiliki sikap kritis dan ketrampilan mengambil keputusan yang tepat. Hal ini sangat diperlukan untuk menghadapi pengaruh budaya konsumsi yang semakin kuat dan tak terbendung sehingga mereka tidak larut di dalamnya. Untuk membentuk sikap kritis dan ketrampilan tersebut orang tua dan masyarakar termasuk lembaga pendidikan harus memiliki pemahaman yang lebih tepat dan kontekstual atas kondisi wanita muda sehingga tidak jatuh pada pendakatan yang normatif.

Contemporary research on self-identity remains a problematic study area. This study aims at solving that problem by explaining ?self-identity as a result of the working of representation system? by using dialogical self-perspective, social representation and object relation theory by considering individual, social and symbolic realities.
This research was carried out in three steps. The first one is initial step, consisting of participatory research (from February to June 2006) and media analysis (from March to May 2006). The second step is observation and in-depth interview with sales promotion girls (SPG), from August to December 2006. The third step is the distribution of scale of psychology (from November to December 2006). This research was conducted in Yogyakarta, involving seven informan working as SPG and 625 respondents of urban, young females living in Yogyakarta, mostly students, age between 21 to 25 years old, grow up-in Yogyakarta -and Central Java. Data was analyzed through four methods, namely discourse analysis, content analysis, factors analysis and cluster analysis.
It is proven that consumption practice by utilizing body powerfully determines the very process of self-identity formation of urban young females in Yogyakarta. It means that consumer culture strongly affects their self-identity. However, they adopt consumer culture displayed by media Suggestion critically and intelligently that it results in another meaning which is different from that of what media intends. They are able to re-contextualize a number of new things, including media's suggestion on consumer culture, referring to the meaning and their own interests that can be completely different from that of what media and industry intend.
The main result of this research proves that as a result of the working of representation system, self-identity of urban young females in Yogyakarta that are strongly affected by consumer culture is dynamic and plural one. Their self-identities are dynamic and plural since they have been moving to Yogyakarta city. Prior to moving, the image of their self-identities was described as being in a position which is relatively integrated, stable, and single one, as a child of an ustadz, qoriah or as a child of a public figure in parochial council, etc. Moving to Yogyakarta the image of their self-identities which was relatively stable, single and integrated turned to be that of dynamic and plural. ln Yogyakarta, various identification and imitation figures exist in a number of social, academic, religious, tradition and gaul spheres. With the existence of new identification and imitation figures, there emerge new positions in their selves, e.g. SPG, model, entertainer and anal: gaul. Thus, these new positions were integrated with old positions in such a way that there is a dynamic movement among various positions.
In the mental world of these research?s informants and respondents, the image of their self-identities is expressed in their abilities to manage strategy of playing a number of positions in a harmonic way. Initially, the image of the self-identity in that mental world was social one, given that it emerged from social representation where an individual lives. ln other words, an individual heritages and live in a certain feature of self-identity existing in the society. In this research, social representation of urban young female in Yogyakarta can be described as vaulting the importance of expression of gaul style and having spirit to keep social harmony. The image of self-identity in social representation then belongs to individuals through identification as well as imitation process as being explained by object relation theory. ln consumption moment, this area represents moment of appropriation, a moment that shows individual?s creative acts in giving meaning to new object does not merely adopt meaning offered, but re-contextualize the meaning instead. Then it becomes completely new meaning or the result of modification from personal meaning and other meaning offered, so that it turns to be personal and belongs to her.
Dynamics of self-identity formation as a result of the working of representation as described above will occur over and over again so that self-identity is a result of dynamic relationship between two opposing powers, namely publicly acknowledged power of the society, and creativity as well as freedom acquired by individuals. There is inter-dependence between culture and individual?s mind in the process of self-
identity formation.
This research is limited to the context of urban young female. in Yogyakarta, whose ethnic background is Javanese, between 21 -25 years of age.Thus, this research cannot be generalized to other research, gender, age as well as socio-cultural contexts.
For that reason, this research suggest that study 911 self-identity for-other age-group, and cultural contexts to be carried out by implementing a holistic- research approach by considering individual, social and symbolic realities. Research on self-identity will not be sufficient if it merely consider one single reality. BY considering simultaneously those three realities, the study on self-identify can result in a perspective which is sensitive to various socio-cultural contexts where individual live
Other suggestion, since the influence of-consumer culture on the self-identity formation is impossible to prevent; it is important that urban young female particularly and youth generally acquire critical attitude and ability to make the right decision in order not to be drawn in it. ln order to develop such critical attitude and ability, parents/family and society as well as educational institution should have a better and contextual understanding on the nature of young female. By such a better and contextual understanding it is expected that they can implement a more appropriate approach without being trapped into that of normative one.

"Didasari oleh fenomena maraknya perilaku seks bebas pada remaja di Indonesia, peneliti mencurigai bahwa adanya hubungan antara perilaku seks bebas dan status identitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara romantic attachment styles dan status identitas pada remaja akhir. Romantic attachment styles merupakan pola dari berbagai harapan, kebutuhan, emosi, dan perilaku sosial pada figur attachment (pacar) sebagai hasil dari pengalaman attachment pada masa lalu yang biasanya diawali dari hubungan dengan orangtua (Fraley dan Shaver, 2000). Status identitas diartikan sebagai adanya eksplorasi dan komitmen pada ranah pekerjaan dan ideologi (Marcia, 1993). Romantic attachment styles responden diukur dengan alat ukur Experience in Close Relationship-Short Form yang dikembangkan oleh Wei, Russell, Mallinckrodt, dan Vogel (2007) dan diadaptasi oleh Wardani (2015). Status identitas diukur dengan alat ukur Extended Objective Measure of Ego Identity Status yang dikembangkan oleh Adams & Benion (1994). Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah 184 remaja akhir berusia 18-21 tahun. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan signifikan antara romantic attachment styles dan status identitas pada remaja akhir.

Based on the phenomena of free sex among adolescents in Indonesia, researchers suspect that there is correlation between free sex and identity status. This study is aimed to examine the relationtionship between romantic attachment styles and identity status in late adolescents. Romantic attachment styles are patterns of expectations, needs, emotions, and social behavior in attachment figure as the results of the experience of attachment in the past which usually starts with the relationship with parents (Fraley and Shaver, 2000). Identity statuses were the presence of crisis and commitment in the areas of occupation and ideology (Marcia, 1993). Romantic attachment styles respondents was measured by using Experience in Close Relationship-Short Form which was developed by Wei, Russel, Mallinckrodt, and Vogel (2007) and had been adapted by Wardani (2015). Identity status was measured by using Extended Objective Measure of Ego Identity Status which was developed by Adams & Benion (1994). Respondents of this research were 184 late adolescents in aged 18 to 21 years old. The result of this research shows that there is a significant correlation between romantic attachment styles and identity status in the late adolescents.

"ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara positive gender identity, patriarchal belief, dan importance of gender identity dengan konflik identitas pada pemimpin wanita di Indonesia. Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua studi. Studi pertama merupakan survei dilakukan dalam dua tahap pengumpulan data yang melibatkan 151 pemimpin wanita di Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif signifikan positive gender identity dengan konflik identitas pemimpin/wanita. Ditemukan pula hubungan positif signifikan patriarchal belief dengan konflik identitas pemimpin/wanita. Namun, tidak ditemukan hubungan yang signifikan antara importance of gender identity dengan konflik identitas pemimpin/wanita. Studi kedua merupakan studi kuasi eksperimen dua kelompok, yang bertujuan untuk melihat perbedaan konflik identitas pemimpin/wanita yang dirasakan oleh partisipan dalam kelompok positive gender identity dan kelompok kontrol. Sampel studi kedua berbeda dari sampel studi pertama, namun masih dalam populasi yang sama N=70 . Manipulasi dilakukan dengan menyajikan stimulus tertulis, kemudian partisipan diberikan self-report berisi item-item konflik identitas pemimpin/wanita dan positive gender identity. Hasil penelitian studi dua menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan konflik identitas pemimpin/wanita yang dirasakan oleh partisipan dalam kelompok positive gender identity dengan partisipan dalam kelompok kontrol.

ABSTRACT
This study aimed to determine whether there are a significant relationship between positive gender identity, patriarchal belief, and importance of gender identity with identity conflict in women leaders in Indonesia. This study consist of two studies. The first study was a survey with two stage of data collection involving 151 women leaders in Indonesia. The result shows that there is a negative significant relationship between positive gender identity with woman leader identity conflict. We also found there is a positive significant relationship between patriarchal belief with woman leader identity conflict. In contrast, there is no significant relationship between importance of gender identity with woman leader identity conflict. The second study was a quasi experimental between subject design, aiming to examine the differences of woman leader identity conflict perceived by participant in positive gender identity group and control group. Sample in the second study is not overlap with the sample in the first study, but they came from the same population N 70 . Manipulation is done by presenting written stimulus, then participants are given self report contained woman leader identity conflict and positive gender identity items. The result of the second study indicated that there is no significant differences woman leader identity conflict perceived by participants in positive gender identity group and control group."

The representation of women in leadership roles in Indonesia needs improvement, particularly within the infrastructure sector. Previous literature underscores that a pivotal factor in the attainment of leadership is the construction of positive leader identity, wherein individuals acknowledge themselves as leaders and receive recognition from others that they are leaders. While internal factors influencing positive leader identity have been extensively studied, our understanding of the external contributors factors is lacking. This study examines the role of external factors, specifically developmental job challenges and protege’s network, on the formation of positive leader identity. This research delves into the mechanisms through which these factors influence positive leader identity, with a specific focus on the moderating roles of woman-leader identity conflict and patriarchal belief. Within the infrastructure sector, this research collected data through an e-survey from 236 female engineering graduates. Results from moderated multiple regression analyses reveal that women's positive leader identity is influenced by the interplay of developmental job challenges, woman-leader identity conflict, protege’s network, and patriarchal belief. These research findings hold significance for scholars in understanding the construction of leadership identity, and for policymakers in understanding effective intervention strategies to achieve gender parity in leadership."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan self-discipline (regulasi diri dalam membentuk identitas secara online) yang dilakukan oleh pencari kerja melalui pembentukan citra diri profesional lewat profil LinkedIn. Sejumlah studi terdahulu telah menunjukan soal proses pembentukan citra diri di LinkedIn. Namun, masih sedikit kajian yang menghubungkan pembentukan citra diri para pencari kerja dengan mengikuti prinsip-prinsip profesionalitas. Dengan meminjam konsep Foucault penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pencari kerja menerapkan self-discipline dalam membentuk citra diri sebagai seorang profesional melalui profil LinkedIn mereka. Penerapan self-discipline tersebut dilakukan oleh pencari kerja dalam mengelola perilaku pribadi mereka guna mencapai tujuan yang diinginkan. Hal ini disebabkan oleh adanya perasaan terawasi oleh pengguna lain di platform tersebut karena menyadari bahwa profil LinkedIn mereka dapat dilihat oleh orang lain, sehingga cenderung melakukan penyesuaian dan pemeliharaan terhadap informasi yang ingin ditampilkan. Pengawasan tersebut merupakan konsekuensi dari kekuasaan yang bekerja melalui fitur pada LinkedIn, sehingga memberikan berbagai efek bagi pencari kerja. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah etnografi digital, yang mengkombinasikan wawancara mendalam dan observasi digital terhadap aktivitas pencari kerja (usia 25-34 tahun) yang secara aktif memanfaatkan platform LinkedIn.

This research aims to examine the application of self-discipline (self-regulation in shaping one's identity online) conducted by job seekers through the creation of a professional self-image on LinkedIn profiles. Several previous studies have demonstrated the process of self-image formation on LinkedIn. However, there are still few studies that link job seekers' self-image formation with adhering to principles of professionalism. By borrowing Foucault's concept, this research shows that job seekers apply self-discipline in creating a professional self-image through their LinkedIn profiles. This self-discipline is applied by job seekers in managing their personal behaviour to achieve their desired goals. This is due to the feeling of being monitored by other users on the platform, as they are aware that their LinkedIn profiles can be viewed by others, thus tending to adjust and maintain the information they wish to display. This surveillance is a consequence of the power that operates through LinkedIn's features, affecting job seekers. The methodology used in this research is digital ethnography, which combines in-depth interviews and digital observation of the activities of job seekers (aged 25-34) who actively utilize the LinkedIn platform."

"Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara preferensi pakaian dan status identitas pada remaja laki-laki dan perempuan. Dalam mencapai kejelasan identitas diperlukan eksplorasi dan komitmen. Perbedaan individu dalam melakukan kedua hal tersebut selanjutnya dikenal sebagai status identitas. Salah satu sarana yang dapat digunakan untuk melakukan eksplorasi adalah pakaian. Walaupun demikian, belum ada penelitian yang membahas hubungan dari preferensi pakaian dan status identitas. Dalam penelitian ini terdapat 82 partisipan laki-laki dan 104 partisipan perempuan yang dilibatkan. Alat ukur preferensi pakaian digunakan untuk menggambarkan preferensi pakaian partisipan dan Extended Version of the Objective Measureof Ego-Identity Status (EOM EIS II) digunakan untuk mengukur status identitas. Hasil utama penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara preferensi pakaian dan status identitas pada remaja laki-laki dan perempuan. Sementara, hasil yang sama juga terjadi pada pengujian hubungan antara status identitas dan subtahap usia remaja.

This study aimed to examine the relationship between clothing preference and identity status in adolescent boys and girls. In achieving identity, exploration and commitment is necessary. Individual differences in doing both of these are known as identity status. One of the tools that can be used to carry out exploration is clothing. However, no studies have addressed the relationship of clothing preferences and identity status. In this study, 82 male participants and 104 female participants were included. The clothing preference measuring tool used to describe clothing preference of the participants and EOM EIS II used to measure identity status. The main result of the study showed that there is no significant relationship between clothing preference and identity status in boys and girls adolescent. Meanwhile, the same result also occurs in testing the relationship between identity status and adolescence substages"

"ABSTRAK
Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah perilaku merokok remaja
dipengaruhi oleh keluarga yang merokok. Salah satu inisiasi merokok remaja
berasal dari lingkungan keluarga. Berdasarkan data SUSENAS 2012, hasil
estimasi model logit menunjukkan bahwa probabilitas remaja merokok
dipengaruhi oleh ayah perokok atau intensitas anggota keluarga dewasa yang
merokok dalam rumah tangga. Pengaruh dari anggota keluarga dewasa yang
merokok dalam rumah tangga relatif lebih besar dibandingkan dengan pengaruh
ayah perokok dan lingkungan tempat tinggal.

ABSTRACT
The study aims to analysis whether adolescent smoking behaviour is influenced
by smoking family. One of adolescent smoking initiations comes from family
environment. Based on SUSENAS 2012 data, logit estimation result shows that
the probability of adolescent become smokers is influenced by smoking father and
the intensity of adult family members? smoking in the household. However, the
influence which comes from the intensity of adult family members? smoking in
the household relatively larger than smoking father and the intensity of
neighborhood smoking."

"Latar Belakang: Sebanyak 9 juta orang di Indonesia mengalami gangguan depresi. Jawa Barat, salah satu provinsi di Indonesia, merupakan provinsi yang memliki masyarakat dengan gangguan mental emosional terbanyak kedua setelah Sulawesi Tengah. Dari berbagai penelitian, ditemukan bahwa self-esteem yang rendah merupakan salah satu faktor risiko dari depresi.
Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi ada atau tidaknya hubungan antara citra diri dengan depresi pada remaja SMA di Depok.
Metode: Metode yang digunakan adalah rancangan studi cross-sectional untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan citra diri dan depresi pada remaja SMA. Aspek depresi dinilai menggunakan kuesioner Center of Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale-Revised (CESD-R), sedangkan aspek citra diri dinilai dengan menggunakan kuesioner Citra Diri Rosenberg. Sampel penelitian dari penelitian ini adalah remaja SMA Dian Didaktika dan dipilih menggunakan teknik random sampling yang menghasilkan 96 remaja. Data tersebut kemudian diolah dan dianalisis menggunakan Uji Chi-Square.
Hasil: Hasil yang didapatkan adalah terdapat hubungan yang signfikan antara self-consciousness dan the perceived self dengan depresi (p=0,000, p=0,000), sedangkan tidak ada hubungan yang signfikan antara tingkat dan kestabilan self-esteem dengan depresi (p=0,3660, p=1,000).
Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan antara self-consciousness dan the perceived self dengan depresi.

Introduction: Approximately 9 million people in Indonesia have developed depression disorder. West Java, a province in Indonesia, has the second most citizens with emotional mental disorders after Central Sulawesi. From various studies, it was found that depression development was related to low self-esteem as its risk factor.
Aim: This study aims to identify the presence or absence of a relationship between self-esteem and depression in high school adolescents in Depok.
Method: The method used in this study was a cross-sectional study design to identify the relationship between self-esteem and depression in high school adolescents. The depression aspect was assessed using the Center of Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale-Revised (CESD-R) questionnaire, while the self-esteem aspect was assessed using the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale questionnaire.  The research sample of this study was 96 students of SMA Dian Didaktika, a high school in Depok, West Java. The respondents was selected using random sampling technique. The data was analyzed using the Chi-Square Test.
Results: The results obtained are that there is a significant relationship between self-consciousness and the perceived self with depression (p = 0.000, p = 0.000), while there is no significant relationship between the level and stability of self-esteem with depression (p = 0.660, p =  1.000). 
Conclusion: There is a relationship between self-consciousness and the perceived self with depression in adolescents.
