"Skripsi ini membahas kebutuhan informasi mahasiswa strata satu (s-1) angkatan 2010 dalam mendukung proses belajar pada Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Tarumanagara. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitan ini menunjukkan bahwa jenis informasi utama yang dibutuhkan di dalam proses belajar adalah buku teks dan jenis informasi pendukung seperti jurnal ilmiah, kamus dan ensiklopedia. Namun ada beberapa jenis informasi yang kurang diminati oleh mahasiswa di dalam proses belajar, seperti majalah kesehatan dan kedokteran dan informasi kesehatan di dalam koran. Saluran informasi yang digunakan untuk mendukung dalam proses belajar adalah internet (google,yahoo), perpustakaan, dosen dan teman.

This thesis discusses the information needs of undergraduate students (S-1) class of 2010 in support of the learning process at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Tarumanagara. This study is descriptive quantitative research. The results of this research indicates that the main type of information needs in the learning process is a text book and the type of supporting information such as scientific journals, dictionaries and encyclopedias. But there are also several types of information which are less preferred for the students in the learning process, such as health and medicine magazines and health information in the newspaper. Channels of information uses to support the learning process are the internet (google, yahoo), library, teacher and friends."

"Skripsi ini mengangkat permasalahan kewajiban profesional pustakawan terhadap profesinya dalam wujud kegiatan penelitian dan reformasi. Tujuannya adalah mendeskripsikan bagaimana pustakawan yang bekerja di Perpustakaan Universitas Indonesia melakukan kewajiban profesionalnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Ditemukan bahwa para pustakawan cenderung melakukan penelitian mereka secara berkelompok. Dalam melakukan penelitian tersebut mereka tidak didorong oleh motivasi individual dalam rangka melakukan reformasi pada ilmu perpustakaan tetapi lebih untuk memenuhi kegiatan penelitian yang sudah direncanakan oleh institusi perpustakaan. Reformasi menurut mereka, diwujudkan dalam bentuk menyediakan bahan untuk para profesor. Mereka juga memperbaiki sistem temu kembali informasi dengan menerapkan RDA dan melakukan roadshow literacy informasi, namun didalam mewujudkan kewajiban profesionalnya, mereka menghadapi kendala kurangnya akomodasi dari pimpinan terhadap pemikiran mereka sehingga menimbulkan kebuntuan komunikasi antar pimpinan dan pustakawan.

This thesis raises the problem to the professional librarians to his profession in the form of research and reform activities. The purpose is to describe how librarians working in libraries of Universitas Indonesia perform their professional duties. This research uses qualitative approach with case study method. Found by librarians tend to conduct their research in groups. In doing that research they can not be driven by individual motivation in order to reform the library science more to meet the research activities that have been planned by the library institution. Reform according to them, manifested in the form of providing material for the professors. They also improved information retrieval systems by implementing the RDA and conducting information literacy roadshows, but in realizing their professional obligations they faced obstacles from leadership to their thinking resulting in communication deadlock between leaders and librarians."

"Penelitian ini membahas tentang pemanfaatan koleksi referensi di Perpustakaan Fakultas Seni Rupa Institut Kesenia Jakarta Perpustakaan FSR IKJ . Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pemanfaatan koleksi referensi di Perpustakaan Fakultas Seni Rupa IKJ oleh para penggunanya. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif dengan metode survei. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pemanfaatan koleksi referensi di Perpustakaan Fakultas Seni Rupa IKJ dapat dikatan tinggi yaitu, sebanyak 67 mahasiswa 95.71 dari 70 mahasiswa yang mengetahui keberadaan koleksi referensi memanfaatkan koleksi tersebut. Namun, ada juga mahasiswa yang tidak memanfaatkannya karena tidak mengetahui keberadaan koleksi tersebut yang dapat disebabkan oleh tidak adanya peran pustakwan dalam sosialisasi dan pendidikan pemakai terhadap koleksi tersebut.

This study discusses about the utilization of reference collection at Perpustakaan Fakultas Seni Rupa Institut Kesenian Jakarta Perpustakaan FSR IKJ . This study aims to determine the level of reference collections utilization in Perpustakaan FSR IKJ. This research is a descriptive research with survey method. The result of the research shows that the level of reference collections utilization in Perpustakaan FSR IKJ is quite high, that is 67 students 95.71 from 70 students who know the collection had utilize the collections. However, there are also students who do not utilize it because they do not know the existence of it and because there is no role of the librarians in the socialization and user education of the collections."

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus.Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah adanya dari enam kegiatan layanan referensi dengan delapan jenis layanan referensi serta peran pustakawan referensi di perpustakaan Institut Pertanian Bogor. Perpustakaan Insitut Pertaninan Bogor melaksanakan layanan referensi dengan baik dan pustakawan referensi melakukan pekerjaannya sesuai dengan perannya.

This research is about reference services at academic library, especially reference services at Bogor Agricultural University Library. The purpose of this research is to describe the realization of reference services, the type of reference services and the role of the reference librarians at Bogor Agricultural University library. This research is qualitative research with case study method.

The research result shows that there are six reference services activities, eight type of reference services, and reference librarians of Bogor Agricultural University library takes a very good role in the services."
