"As a national higher learning language, Malay language is still climbing up to the peak of highest hierarchy parallel with its status as an official language, national language and knowledge. however, on what extend malay language as a higher learning language able to uphold by the local academicians? they are liable to bring the Malay language globally within the context of scholarly publication. This case study was includes 13 clusters under the 2014 national professors council. Evaluations regarding scholarly publication had focus into 3 main categories, which are book publication (book, monographs, chapter in book), article in journal and article in proceeding. Clearly, the findings found that publication of all clusters dominated by the english language thus Malay language has not been in favor and priority among local academicians in their publication. This scenario shows that Malaysia higher education institues were not given contributed or taking actions to strengthen Malay language although they have known publication is a crucial part to boost our mother tongue internationally."

"Peranan jurnal ilmiah dalam menunjang kegiatan pendidikan, pelatihan, penelitian dan pengabdian pada masyarakat di Perguruan Tinggi adalah amat penting. Apabila jurnal ilmiah tersedia secara cukup, terbit secara berkala serta terjamin mutunya, maka kegiatan Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi akan berjalan lebih lancar. Penelitian ini merupakan langkah awal dari upaya identifikasi, inventarisasi dari berbagai jurnal ilmiah yang diterbitkan di Indonesia. Sesuai dengan pembagian tugas, penelitian yang dilaksanakan ini dibatasi hanya untuk bidang kesehatan. Dalam penelitian ini telah.dapat diinventarisasi 85 judul jurnal kesehatan : 66 jurnal ilmiah (77,7%) dan 19 jurnal sisanya {22,3%) adalah bukan jurnal ilmiah. Dari 66 buah jurnal ilmiah yang berhasil dikumpulkan 31 buah bidang kedokteran (46,9%); 4 buah bidang farmasi (6,1%); 8 buah bidang kedokteran gigi. (12,1%); 5 buah bidang kesehatan masyarakat (7,6%); 5 buah bidang gizi (7,6%); 6 buah bidang psikologi (9,1%) dan 7 buah bidang campuran (10,6%). Setelah dilakukan analisa sesuai dengan butir-butir penilaian akreditasi maka beberapa jurnal yang dapat dikembangkan sebagai media diseminasi hasil penelitian adalah sebagai berikut ; bidang Kedokteran Majalah Kedokteran Indonesia (IDI) dan Jurnal Kedokteran Bandung (UNPAD); bidang Kedokteran Gigi : Jurnal Kedokteran Gigi (UNPAD); bidang Kesehatan Masyarakat : Berita Kedokteran Masyarakat (UGM) dan Majalah Ikatan Ahli Kesehatan Masyarakat Indonesia (IAKMI); bidang Farmasi Acta Pharmaceutica (ITB) dan Majalah Farmasi Indonesia (UGM); untuk bidang Gizi : Media Gizi dan Keluarga (IPB); sedangkan bidang Psikologi : Jurnal Psikologi Indonesia (ISPI)."
