"The selection of materials for an engineering component is not only requested by its design function and shape, but also
the sequence through which it is manufactured. The manufacturing operation of roller chains involves drawing and
trimming processes aimed at producing semi-finished chain drives component with a well-standardized dimension. In
addition to final combination of properties required by design constraints, the ability of materials to be formed into a
desired shape and geometry without failure is also critical. The objective of materials selection should therefore involve
additional attributes that are not typically accommodated by the standard procedure of materials selection. The present
paper deals with the selection of materials for roller chains from the perspective of manufacturing process. Ears and
un-uniform wall thickness have been identified as a key problem in the mass production of component. Provided all
process parameters were established, the anisotropy factor of materials is critical. Simulative test can be reasonably
used to obtain material performance indices that can be added up to the standard procedure of material selection. Of
three commercially available steel grades evaluated with regard to the criteria defined, one grade is more suitable for the
present objective."

"The meaning of technology transfer is so wide but mostly involving some form of technology-related
exchange. However, in this particular paper, technology transfer is consider as a concept to
examine the process of disseminating knowledge and skills that a person owned to another person
in order to generate higher productivity with new approach of producing a particular product
or service. Although, many researchers have explored the evolution of technology transfer,
nonetheless some drivers are yet to be explored in a Malaysian manufacturing industry. This study,
therefore attempts to determine the relationship between absorptive capacity, transfer capacity,
communication motivation and learning intent and technology transfer performance. A survey
methodology was used in a Japanese multinational company based in Klang Valley, Malaysia. A
total of 117 questionnaires were received. Results show that absorptive capacity is the most significant
to influence technology transfer performance."

Penelitian ini bertujuan melakukan estimasi pengaruh eksternalitas aglomerasi berupa knowledge spillovers (MAR/spesialisasi, Jacobs/diversity, dan Porter/kompetisi) serta eksternalitas modal manusia terhadap pertumbuhan tenaga kerja berdasarkan tingkat intensitas teknologi dalam industri dan melakukan estimasi pengaruh modal manusia dalam meningkatkan pengaruh knowledge spillovers. Penelitian ini menggunakan data ISIC 2-digit industri manufaktur  kabupaten dan kota seluruh Indonesia tahun 2010 dan 2015, menggunakan metode Ordinary Least Square (OLS).  Hasil estimasi menunjukkan bahwa spesialisasi berdampak negatif terhadap pertumbuhan tenaga kerja sedangkan diversity berdampak positif namun tidak signifikan di semua tingkat intensitas teknologi industri. Terdapat perbedaan dampak kompetisi dan modal manusia berdasarkan intensitas teknologi dalam industri. Modal manusia dapat menahan dampak negatif kompetisi dan menurunkan dampak positif diversity terhadap pertumbuhan tenaga kerja.

 


This study aims to estimate the effect of agglomeration externalities in the form of knowledge spillovers (MAR / specialization, Jacobs / diversity, and Porter / competition) and human capital externalities on employment growth based on the level of technological intensity in the industry and estimating the effect of human capital on increasing the influence of knowledge spillovers . This research uses ISIC 2-digit manufacturing industry in districts and cities throughout Indonesia in 2010 and 2015, using the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method. The estimation results show that specialization has a negative impact on employment growth while diversity has a positive effect but is not significant at all levels of industrial technology intensity. There are differences in the impact of competition and human capital based on the intensity of technology in the industry. Human capital can resist the negative impact of competition and reduce the positive impact of diversity on employment growth."

"Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah memberikan bukti empiris mengenai pengaruh cash management pada performa finansial 35 perusahaan manufaktur dengan operating profit margin yang rendah di Indonesia. Kebijakan arus kas perusahaan yang mengelola modal kerja dalam bentuk piutang dari pelanggan penyimpanan persediaan dan pembayaran hutang ke supplier berkaitan dengan operasi perusahaan.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa menurunnya days sales outstanding days payables outstanding operating cash cycle dapat memperburuk kinerja keuangan. Sedangkan penurunan days inventory outstanding dan cash conversion cycle akan meningkatkan performa finansial perusahaan.

The objective of the research is to provide empirical evidence about the impact of cash management to financial performance on 35 manufacturing company with a poor operating profit margin in Indonesia. A firm 39s cash flow policies which manage working capital in the form of cash receivables from customers inventory holdings and cash payments to suppliers are linked to the firm 39 s operations.
The results demonstrate that reducing in days sales outstanding days payables outstanding and operating conversion cycle will decrease firm's financial performance On the other hand reducing days inventory and cash conversion cycle will increase firm financial performance.

"Tesis ini membahas tentang pengaruh keterikatan karyawan terhadap knowledge transfer sebagai faktor identifikasi dalam penelitian. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisa kuantitatif dan kualitatif dengan mengembangkan prinsip-prinsip knowledge management dalam penyusunan program pengembangan intervensi di PT. GYI.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan adanya hubungan yang positif antara variabel penelitian dengan hasil kategorisasi responden dari kowledge transfer berada pada kategori sedang dan hasil uji konstruk yang dihasilkan menunjukan knowledge codification dengan nilai rata-rata terendah.
Bentuk rekomendasi yang diusulkan adalah perubahan struktur organisasi guna memfasilitasi komunikasi horizontal yang dibantu dengan KM-Tools PDCA (Plan Do Check Action) dalam meningkatkan knowledge transfer dan knowledge codification di divisi manufaktur PT. GYI guna meningkatkan kinerjanya dengan berfokus pada intervensi Human Resources Management Practice.

This thesis focused on the influence of employee engagement on knowledge transfer as the identification factor of this research. Quantitative and qualitative study used to develop intervension program at PT. GYI with knowledge management principles.
Result of this research showed a positive relationship between variables with the categorization of the respondents on knowledge transfer in medium rate and constructs analysis shown knowledge codification in the lowest mean.
Proposed recommendations is change in organization structure to facilitate horizontal communication and using KM-Tools PDCA (Plan Do Check Action) method to improve knowledge transfer and knowledge codification in manufacturing division PT. GYI to improve it's performance by focusing on interventions in Human Resources Management Practice.
