"ABSTRAK
Obesitas merupakan masalah kesehatan pada orang dewasa di Indonesia,
khususnya perempuan, yang terus meningkat prevalensinya. Namun, penelitian
tentang obesitas pada ibu menyusui masih jarang ditemukan. Penelitian ini
bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara tingkat pendidikan, pekerjaan, dan
asupan energi dan zat gizi makro dengan obesitas pada ibu yang sedang menyusui
periode satu tahun pertama. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik
observasional dengan desain cross sectional. Responden sebanyak 85 orang
dipilih dari Jakarta, Surabaya, dan Yogyakarta secara simple random sampling.
Data asupan energi dan zat gizi makro diperoleh dari kusioner 24-hours food
recall. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 41% responden mengalami obesitas,
dengan prevalensi tertinggi di Yogyakarta (56,0%), disusul Surabaya (44,4%) dan
Jakarta (27,3%). Persentase asupan zat gizi makro melebihi 100% AKG tertinggi
adalah lemak (24,7%), diikuti protein (22,4%), karbohidrat (14,1%), dan energi
(9,4%). Terdapat hubungan antara tingkat pendidikan dengan obesitas (p=0,006),
sementara tidak ada hubungan yang bermakna antara obesitas dengan asupan
energi, zat gizi makro, dan pekerjaan (p>0,05). Penelitian lanjutan diperlukan
untuk memperhitungkan aspek keluaran energi responden, seperti aktivitas fisik
dan frekuensi menyusui

ABSTRACT
Obesity is one of the most prevalent health burdens in Indonesian adults, and the
number of obese people keeps increasing, especially in women. There are few
research done on the subject of obesity in breastfeeding mothers in Indonesia.
This study identifies the relationship between education level, occupation, and
energy and macronutrient intake with obesity in breastfeeding mothers during
their first year of breastfeeding. This study is an observational analytic study,
using cross-sectional method. Eighty-five respondents were chosen from Jakarta,
Surabaya, and Yogyakarta through simple random sampling. The data of energy
and macronutrient intake were collected from the 24-hours food recall
questionnaire. The results showed 41% of respondents are obese, with the highest
prevalence found in Yogyakarta (56.0%), followed by Surabaya (44.4%) and
Jakarta (27.3%). The highest percentage of energy and macronutrient intake that
exceeds the 100% AKG is lipid (24.7%), followed by protein (22.4%),
carbohydrate (14.1%), and energy (9.4%). There is a relationship between
education level and obesity (p=0.006), but there is no significant relationship
between obesity and energy intake, macronutrient intake, and occupation
(p>0.05). Many studies in the future are needed to improve the study by
considering the output energy aspect, such as physical activity and breastfeeding
frequency"

"Obesitas adalah kondisi gizi lebih yang jika terjadi selama kehamilan memiliki dampak besar pada kesehatan ibu dan bayi serta berisiko untuk terjadinya preeklampsia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengukur estimasi risiko obesitas kehamilan terhadap terjadinya preeklampsia. Penelitian ini merupakan studi case-control dengan menggunakan data rekam medis pada ibu bersalin RSUD Pasar Minggu. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji Regresi Logistik. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan adalah terdapat hubungan signifikan secara statistik antara obesitas kehamilan yang berinteraksi dengan umur terhadap kejadian preeklampsia setelah dikontrol variabel hipertensi gestasional pada ibu yang mengalami obesitas dan berusia ≤35 tahun untuk terjadinya preeklampsia dengan OR sebesar 2,81 (95% CI: 1.41-5.60; p  0.003). Risiko pada ibu yang berusia >35 tahun dengan OR 2,46 (95% CI: 1.02-5.93, p 0.043). Sementara risiko pada ibu obesitas dan berusia >35 tahun sebesar 0,80 (95% CI: 0.24-2.59; p 0,070). Ibu hamil diharpakan untuk menjaga berat badan normal untuk menghindari terjadinya preeklampsia.

Obesity is a condition of overnutrition which if it occurs during pregnancy has a major impact on the health of the mother and baby and is at risk for the occurrence of preeclampsia. The purpose of this study was to measure the estimated risk of pregnancy obesity on the occurrence of preeclampsia. This research is a case control study using medical record data for mothers giving birth at Pasar Minggu Hospital. Data analysis was carried out by using Logistic Regression test. The results of the study showed that there was a statistically significant relationship between obesity in pregnancy that interacted with age on the incidence of preeclampsia after adjustment for gestational hypertension variables in obese mothers and ≤35 years old for the occurrence of preeclampsia with OR 2.81 (95% CI: 1.41-5.60 ;p 0.003). Risk in maternal aged >35 years with OR 2.46 (95% CI: 1.02-5.93, p 0.043). Meanwhile, the risk for obese and maternal aged >35 years was 0.80 (95% CI: 0.24-2.59; p 0.070). Pregnant women are suggested to maintain a normal weight to prevent the occurrence of preeclampsia."

"ABSTRAK
Preeklamsia/eklamsia merupakan salah satu penyebab utama penyumbang kematian ibu di Indonesia.Angka kematian ibu di Indonesia saat ini tergolong masih tinggi di negara Asia.Salah satu penyebab terjadinya preeklamsia/eklamsia diduga adalah adanya obesitas pada ibu.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui distribusi dan prevalensi faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi terjadinya preeklamsia/eklamsia serta mengetahui hubungan antara obesitas dengan kejadian preeklamsia/eklamsia pada ibu saat hamil atau bersalin di Indonesia tahun 2010 setelah dikendalikan oleh variabel usia ibu, jumlah paritas, pekerjaan ibu, tingkat pendidikan ibu, status ekonomi, berat badan lahir bayi, riwayat merokok, riwayat abortus, kunjungan pelayanan antenatal dan kualitas pelayanan antenatal.
Desain studi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah cross sectional menggunakan analisis multivariat dengan uji regresi logistic ganda. Sampel penelitian dengan mengambil semua sampel Riset Kesehatan Dasar tahun 2010 yang eligible dari 33 provinsi yaitu sebanyak 5.112 responden (obesitas sebanyak 680 responden dan tidak obesitas sebanyak 4.432 responden), yang diambil dengan metode stratified two stagecluster design. Hasil penelitian terlihat prevalensi obesitas sebesar 13,30% dan preeklamsia/eklamsia sebesar 3,91%. Terdapat hubungan obesitas dengan kejadian preeklamsia/eklamsia dengan Odd Ratio (OR) sebesar 1,88 (95% CI 1,33-2,66) setelah dikontrol oleh variabel usia ibu, berat badan lahir dan riwayat merokok. Jadi obesitas merupakan salah satu faktor yang cukup penting dalam menyebabkan terjadinya preeklamsia/eklamsia.Oleh karena itu pemerintah dan masyarakat perlu berperan aktif dalam upaya pencegahan terjadinya preeklamsia/eklamsia dengan menjaga berat badan ideal sejak usia remaja sehingga tidak mengalami obesitas pada saat hamil.

ABSTRACT
Preeclampsia/eclampsia is one of the major causes of maternal mortality in Indonesia. The maternal mortality rate in Indonesia is still relatively high in Asian countries. One of the causes of preeclampsia/eclampsia is maternal obesity.
The aim of this studyis to know the distribution and prevalence of the factors that could affect the occurrence of preeclampsia/eclampsia and to know the association of the obesity and preeclampsia/eclampsia in the mother during pregnancy or delivery in Indonesiain 2010,after controlled by maternal age, parity, mother's occupation, mother's education level, economic status, birth weight, history of smoking, history of abortion, antenatal visits and quality of antenatal care variable.
Study design is cross-sectional using multivariate analysis with multiple logistic regression. The study sample by taking all sampled that eligible in 2010 Basic Health Survey are 5,112 respondents (680 respondents obese and 4,432 respondents non-obese). Study result is shown the prevalence of obesity was 13.30% and preeclampsia/eclampsia was 3.91%. There is a relationship of obesity and preeclampsia/eclampsia with Odds Ratios (OR) of 1,88 (95% CI1,33 to 2,66) after controlled by maternal age, birth weight and smoking history variable. So, obesity is a significant factor in the cause of preeclampsia/eclampsia. Therefore, the government and community should play an active role in the prevention of preeclampsia/eclampsia with maintaining a healthy weight since their teens so not obese during pregnancy.

"Obesitas merupakan masalah mendunia dengan peningkatan angka prevalensi yang semakin tinggi baik di negara maju maupun negara berkembang. Berdasarkan data Riskesdas tahun 2007 dan 2013, obesitas juga menjadi permasalahan di Indonesia. Obesitas disebabkan oleh asupan energi yang lebih banyak dibandingkan dengan energi yang dikeluarkan. Asupan energi tersebut diperoleh dari asupan makronutrien yang terdiri dari karbohidrat, protein dan lemak. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian potong lintang untuk mengetahui hubungan antara obesitas pada laki-laki dewasa usia 19-64 tahun dengan asupan energi dan makronutrien. Jumlah subyek dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 51 orang laki-laki dewasa usia 19-64 tahun di Jakarta tahun 2012. Data obesitas diperoleh dengan mengukur Indeks Massa Tubuh subyek penelitian dan digolongkan sesuai dengan kriteria IMT Asia Pasifik. Data Asupan energi dan makronutrien dari subyek penelitian diperoleh dengan metode 24-hour food recall dan food record kemudian diambil rerata dari kedua metode tersebut. Hasil penelitian ini memperoleh data bahwa sebanyak 31,3% laki-laki dewasa mengalami obesitas. Berdasarkan uji chi square untuk protein dan uji fisher untuk energi, karbohidrat dan lemak didapatkan hasil bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara asupan energi dan makronutrien dengan obesitas pada laki-laki dewasa usia 19-64 tahun di Jakarta. Terdapat beberapa faktor yang tidak diteliti pada penelitian ini terutama faktor genetik, tingkat aktivitas fisik dan perilaku hidup sedentary.

Obesity is a worldwide problem with increased prevalence rates in both the developed and developing countries. Based on Riskesdas 2007 and 2013, obesity is also become problem in Indonesia. Obesity caused by the intake of more energy than the energy expended. Energy intake is derived from macronutrient intake consists of carbohydrates, proteins and fats. This study used a cross-sectional study design to examine the relationship between obesity in men aged 19-64 years. Numbers of subjects in this study were 51 men aged 19-64 years in Jakarta 2012. Data obtained by measuring Body Mass Index and then classified according to BMI criteria for the Asia Pacific region. Energy and macronutrient intake data of the subjects was obtained by the 24-hour food recall and a food record then taken the average of the two methods. This study result showed that 31.3% men are obesity. Based on chi-square test for protein and Fisher test for energy, carbohydrates and fat showed that there was no relationship between energy and macronutrient intakes to obesity in men aged 19-64 years in Jakarta. There are several factors which are not examined in this study especially genetic factor, physical activity level and sedentary lifestyle."

"Angka prevalensi obesitas diberbagai negara menunjukkan adanya kenaikan, begitu pun dengan Indonesia. Asupan gizi makro dan serat merupakan salah satu faktor risiko obesitas. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan asupan zat gizi makro dan serat dengan kejadian obesitas penduduk usia >18 tahun di Provinsi Sumatra Barat, Jawa Barat, Jawa Tengah, dan Sulawesi Selatan. Disain penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi potong lintang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan prevalensi obesitas di Sumatra Barat dan Jawa Barat sebesar 12.3%, Jawa Tengah 9.6%, dan Sulawesi Selatan 11.4%. Di Sumatra Barat, asupan lemak berhubungan signifikan dengan obesitas. Di Jawa Barat dan Jawa Tengah, asupan energi, protein, dan lemak berhubungan signifikan dengan obesitas. Di Sulawesi Selatan, asupan energi, lemak, dan serat berhubungan signifikan dengan obesitas.

Prevalence of obesity in various countries showed a rise, so too with Indonesia. One of the factors that related to obesity was macronutrients and fiber intake.The aim of this study was to evaluate macronutrient and fiber in relation to obesity among adult people (aged 18 years and above). The research design was used cross sectional design. The prevalence of obesity in West Sumatra & West Java were 12.3%, in Central Java was 9.6%, and 11.4% in South Sulawesi. In West Sumatra, fat intake associated with obesity. In West Java and Central Java, energy, protein, and fat intake were associated with obesity. In South Sulawesi, energy, fat, and fiber intake were associated with obesity."

"Asupan makanan berlebih dan rendahnya aktivitas fisik adalah dua faktor risiko obesitas pada remaja. Kurangnya pemahaman akan hubungan antarfaktor risiko ini membuat obesitas remaja sulit ditangani dan cenderung berlanjut ke usia dewasa. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara tingkat aktivitas fisik (physical activity level/PAL) dengan asupan energi dan makronutrien. Penelitian dilakukan di salah satu fakultas kedokteran di Jakarta dalam periode Juni 2011-Juni 2013, dengan metode total sampling pada populasi mahasiswa berusia 15-18 tahun. Data asupan energi dan makronutrien dari sampel yang terdiri atas laki-laki (n=30) dan perempuan (n=43), dinilai menggunakan Food-Frequency Questionnaire semikuantitatif, sedangkan PAL dengan Bouchard three-days physical activity record. Dengan uji one-way anova, terdapat hubungan antara PAL dengan asupan energi dan lemak (p=0,025 dan 0,019), sedangkan asupan karbohidrat dan protein sebaliknya. Dengan analisis post-hoc LSD, perbedaan bermakna terdapat pada PAL sedang dan tinggi (asupan energi p=0,007; lemak p=0,005), sedangkan rata-rata asupan energi dan makronutrien tetap tinggi pada PAL rendah. Disimpulkan bahwa peningkatan keluaran energi total akan meningkatkan asupan energi, sedangkan PAL rendah tidak akan mengubah kebutuhan energi individual.

Excessive nutrient intake and low physical activity are two obesity risk factors in adolescent. Lack of understanding in relationship amongst these risk factors has made adolescent obesity become health problems and tends to progress into adulthood. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between physical activity level (PAL) with energy and macronutrient intake. Study was held in one of medical school in Jakarta from June 2011-June 2013, with total sampling on medical students aged 15-18. Energy and macronutrient intake from boys (n=30) and girls (n=43) were assessed using semiquantitative Food-Frequency Questionnaire, while PALs were assessed using Bouchard-three days physical activity record. One-way anova analysis showed significant relationship of PAL toward energy and fat intake (p=0,025 and 0,019), and none of carbohydrate and protein intake. The post-hoc LSD analysis revealed the significant mean difference were found in subjects classified as high and moderate PAL (for energy intake p=0,007; fat intake p=0,005). Meanwhile, energy and all macronutrients intake were found to be persistently high in subject with low PAL. In conclusion, increase in total energy expenditure will subsequently induce increase in energy intake, but low PAL did not change the individual energy requirement."

"Obesitas merupakan masalah kesehatan yang terus mengalami peningkatan baik secara global maupun di Indonesia. Obesitas pada remaja didiagnosis dengan mengkategorikan indeks massa tubuh (IMT) menggunakan grafik CDC. Obesitas pada remaja dapat menimbulkan konsekuensi jangka panjang, seperti munculnya timbulnya resistensi insulin dan penyakit kardiovaskular di usia dini. Salah satu etiologi obesitas ialah asupan energi berlebih, yang berasal dari asupan kalori dari sumber makronutrien dalam jumlah yang tidak normal (lebih tinggi dari anjuran asupan gizi yang ada). Penelitian ini menganalisis hubungan asupan energi total dan jenis asupan makronutrien dengan derajat obesitas yang dikategorikan berdasarkan rerata IMT sampel. Subjek terdiri dari 69 remaja usia 14-18 tahun yang bersekolah di SMA di DKI Jakarta. Studi ini menggunakan desain potong lintang dengan menganalisis data sekunder yang didapat dari penelitian sebelumnya. Pada hasil ditemukan bahwa total asupan kalori tidak berhubungan dengan dengan derajat obesitas (p = 0,135) dan asupan makronutrien tidak memiliki hubungan signifikan dengan derajat obesitas (p > 0,05).

Obesity is a disease with increasing prevalence globally and within Indonesia. Obesity in adolescent is diagnosed using body mass index (BMI) percentile in growth chart arranged by CDC. Childhood obesity could lead to long term concequences such as insulin resistance and cardiovascular diseases at earlier age. One of the primary cause for obesity is excess energy intake in accordance to its energy requirement affected by total energy expenditure. Energy intake would be defined by total caloric intake and its variety of macronutrient composition. This research is conducted to determine the correlation between total caloric intake and macronutrient intake status with degree of obesity categorized by the mean of samples BMI. Subjects included 69 adolescents aged 14-18 who were studying in Senior High School in Jakarta during data collection. This research is a cross-sectional study using secondary data collected from a prior research. With comparative approach, the results show that total caloric intake does not corellate with degree of obesity (p = 0,135) and macronutrient composition has no significant corellation with degree of obesity (p > 0,05)."

"Prevalensi obesitas di Indonesia menunjukkan peningkatan yang bermakna dari tahun ke tahun, termasuk di dalamnya prevalensi obesitas sentral yang dapat diukur melalui lingkar pinggang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dengan desain potong lintang yang bertujuan untuk melihat korelasi antara asupan energi total, asupan lemak, dan lingkar pinggang dengan kadar HbA1c pada obesitas. Penelitian dilakukan di kantor Balai Kota DKI Jakarta dari akhir bulan November sampai Desember 2013. Pengambilan subyek dilakukan dengan cara consecutive sampling, didapatkan 47 subyek yang memenuhi kriteria penelitian. Karakteristik subyek yang diambil adalah usia, jenis kelamin dan indeks massa tubuh (IMT). Variabel data yang diteliti adalah asupan energi total, asupan lemak, lingkar pinggang, dan kadar HbA1c.
Hasil penelitian didapatkan subyek terbanyak berusia antara 36-50 tahun (93,6%), sebagian besar berjenis kelamin perempuan sebanyak 27 subyek (57,4%), dan sebanyak 35 subyek (74,5%) termasuk kategori obes I, karena sebagian besar subyek berada pada rentang usia 36 sampai 50 tahun, maka selanjutnya analisis data dan pembahasan dilakukan pada 44 subyek dengan rentang usia tersebut. Asupan energi total 32 subyek (72,7%) dibawah AKG (˂ 70% AKG). Median (min-maks) asupan energi total adalah sebesar 1225,8(766,0-4680) kkal. Sebagian besar subyek penelitian mengonsumsi lemak lebih dari persentase KET yang dianjurkan yaitu sebanyak 42 orang subyek (95,5%). Seluruh subyek laki-laki dan sebagian besar subyek perempuan (84%) memiliki LP lebih. Rerata kadar HbA1c pada subyek laki-laki adalah 6,3±0,2% dan perempuan 6,3±0,3%, dan hampir sebagian besar (68,2%) memiliki kadar HbA1c berisiko tinggi. Terdapat korelasi negatif tidak bermakna antara asupan energi total dengan kadar HbA1c pada subyek laki-laki (r=-0,15, p=0,536) dan korelasi positif tidak bermakna pada subyek perempuan (r=0,28, p=0,898). Korelasi negatif tidak bermakna dijumpai antara asupan lemak dengan kadar HbA1c pada seluruh subyek (r=-0,06, p=0,687). Korelasi positif tidak bermakna antara lingkar pinggang dengan kadar HbA1c terdapat pada seluruh subyek (r=0,18, p=0,236).

The prevalence of obesity in Indonesia is increasing and also the prevalence of central obesity which can be measured by waist circumference. The aim of this cross sectional study was to find the correlation between total energy intake, fat intake, and waist circumference with HbA1c levels in obes subject. Data collection was conducted during November to December 2013 in the institution of Balaikota DKI Jakarta. The subjects was obtained by consecutive sampling, and 47 subjects who meet study criteria were enrolled in this study. The data collection were characteristics of the subjects including age, gender and body mass index (BMI), as well as total energy intake, fat intake, waist circumference, and HbA1c levels.
The results showed the highest age between 36-50 years (93.6%), majority of the subjects were female (57.4%), and catagorized as obese I (74.5%). Because most of the subjects were in the range of age 36 to 50 years, the data analysis and discussion conducted on 44 subjects. Most of the subject had total energy intake under RDI requirements, i.e., 13 people (68.4 %) of male and 19 subjects (76%) of female subjects. Most of the subjects (42 subjects, 95.5%) had fat intake over recommended percentage of total energy requirement. All of the male and most of female subjects (84%) have waist circumference greater than the normal criteria. Mean of HbA1c levels were 6.3±0.2%, for male subjects and almost the same levels for female subjects, while 68.2% of the subjects were categorized as high risk. The were no significant negative correlation between total energy intake and HbA1c levels in male subjects (r =-0.15, p=0,536) and no significant in female subjects (r=0.28, p=0.898). There were no significant negative correlation between fat intake and HbA1c levels in all subjects (r=-0.06, p=0.687), while non significant positive correlation between waist circumference and HbA1c levels were found in all subjects (r=0.18, p=0.236).

"Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif yang menggunakan desain cross sectional dan bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan obesitas pada PNS. Populasi penelitian adalah dewasa yang terdaftar sebagai Pegawai Negeri Sipil di Kementerian Koperasi dan Usaha Kecil Menengah dengan sampel sebanyak 122 yang didapatkan dengan metode simple random sampling. Penelitian dilakukan pada 2-19 April 2012 dengan menggunakan instrument berupa kuesioner, microtoise, timbangan seca dan food models.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 32,8% responden mengalami obesitas. Hasil analisis bivariat menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara pengetahuan gizi, pendidikan terakhir, asupan energi, asupan protein, asupan lemak dan asupan karbohidrat dengan kejadian obesitas pada PNS. Sedangkan tidak ada hubungan yang bermakna antara umur, jenis kelamin, status pernikahan dan aktivitas fisik dengan obesitas. Peneliti menyarankan kepada Kementerian Koperasi dan Usaha Kecil Menengah untuk mengadakan edukasi dan penyuluhan mengenai gizi agar terhindar dari risiko penyakit akibat obesitas.
The study is a quantitative study using cross sectional design and aims to determine the factors associated with obesity in the PNS. The study population is adults who are registered as civil servant in the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises with a total of 122 samples obtained by simple random sampling method. The study was conducted on 2 to 19 April 2012 by using the instrument in the form of questionnaires, microtoise, Seca scales and food models. The results showed 32.8% of respondents were obese.
The results of bivariate analysis showed that there was a significant association between nutritional knowledge, the latest education, energy intake, protein intake, intake of fat and carbohydrate intake with the incidence of obesity in the PNS. Whereas no significant association between age, sex, marital status and physical activity with obesity. Researchers suggest to the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises to conduct education and counseling on nutrition in order to avoid the risk of disease due to obesity.

"[Latar belakang: Konsumsi MRDPG meningkat secara paralel dengan peningkatan prevalens obesitas di seluruh dunia sehingga diduga menjadi salah satu faktor risiko obesitas yang bermakna. Data di Indonesia terbatas. Tujuan: Mengetahui pola konsumsi MRDPG dan hubungannya dengan obesitas pada anak sekolah usia 10-12 tahun. Metode: Penelitian ini terdiri dari 2 tahap. Tahap I (studi potong lintang) didesain untuk mengetahui pola konsumsi MRDPG (total sampling). Uji hipotesis dilakukan pada Tahap II (studi kasus kontrol) secara purposive sampling (subjek obes dan gizi baik) dengan matching (usia dan jenis kelamin). MRDPG yang diteliti adalah soda, fruit drink, sport drink, energy drink, teh manis, dan kopi instan/siap saji. Konsumsi MRDPG dinilai dengan semi kuantitatif FFQ yang telah divalidasi sebelumnya. Pemeriksaan antropometri dilakukan dengan cara standar sesuai protokol. Risiko obes karena konsumsi MRDPG dianalisis dengan conditional logistic regression bersama dengan faktor perancu. Hasil: Sebanyak 421 dan 182 subjek memenuhi kriteria penelitian tahap I dan II. Proporsi subjek yang mengonsumsi MRDPG adalah 92,2% dan 63,9% di antaranya mengonsumsi 1 kali atau lebih setiap hari. Konsumsi MRDPG pada anak lelaki lebih banyak dibandingkan perempuan (P<0,001). Rerata konsumsi MRDPG berdasarkan volume, kalori, dan gula tambahan adalah 348 ml, 117 kkal, dan 26,6 gram per hari (≈ 5 sdt gula pasir setiap hari). Kontribusi kalori terbesar adalah teh manis dan yang terkecil soda. Subjek mengonsumsi MRDPG di antara 2 waktu makan dan di semua tempat. Setelah mengontrol faktor perancu, subjek yang mengonsumsi MRDPG 1 kali atau lebih setiap hari memiliki risiko obes sebesar 2,54 kali (RO 2,54; IK 95% 1,07-6,05; P=0,03). Risiko tersebut bertambah sebesar 45% untuk setiap konsumsi 1 porsi (RO 1,45; IK 95% 1,08-1,94; P=0,01)(1 porsi=240 ml). Teh manis dan kopi instan/siap saji menunjukkan hubungan yang bermakna dengan obesitas. Simpulan: Pola konsumsi MRDPG pada anak sekolah usia 10-12 tahun mengkhawatirkan. Semakin sering seorang anak mengonsumsi MRDPG, semakin besar kemungkinannya menjadi obes;Background: there is a global parallel increased between SSB consumption and obesity prevalence. Aim: to describe the pattern of SSBs consumption and its association with obesity in school children age 10-12 years old. Method: a two phase study has been studied. Phase I (a cross sectional study) was designed to describe the pattern of SSB consumption as a total sampling. Hypotesis test was done in phase II (a case control study) as a purposive sampling (obese and healthy weight subjects) with individual matching (sex and age) between groups. SSBs were include reguler soda, fruit drink, sport drink, energy drink, sweat tea, and instant/ready to drink coffee. SSBs consumption were measured with a previously validated FFQ. Anthropometrical measures were taken using standardize protocol. Obesity risk related to SSB consumption was assesed together with confounding factors in a conditional logistic regression multivariate analysis. Result: There were 421 and 182 subjects fullfilled the criteria of study in phase I and II. The proportion of subject to consume SSBs was 92,2% and 63,9% of them consumed it one or more daily. Boys were more in drinking SSBs than girls (P<0,001). Mean of SSBs consumption based on volume, calories, and added-sugar were 348 ml, 117 kkal, and 26,6 gram per day (≈ 5 tsp of table sugar per day). The highest contribution of energy was found in sweat tea and the lowest was soda. All subjects consumed SSBs between 2 time meal at all place. After controling the confounding factors, We found a risk of obesity related to SSB consumption as 2,54 higher (RO 2,54; 95% CI 1,07-6,05; P=0,003) if they drank SSBs one or more daily. Besides, each additional daily serving was associated with a 45% relative increased in the risk of obesity (RO 1,45; 95% CI 1,08-1,94; P=0,01)(1 serving=240 ml).
