"Kehidupan organisasi telah menjadi ciri yang tak terelakkan dari berbagai perubahan. Pandemi COVID-19 menunjukkan bahwa organisasi dipaksa untuk siap merespon dan beradaptasi dengan setiap perubahan yang tidak terduga ketika tiba-tiba dihadapkan pada kondisi untuk mengubah standar operasi dan struktur yang ada. Dalam hal mengadaptasi proses bisnis dan model kerja, perusahaan yang cakap adalah perusahaan yang tangguh, gesit, inovatif, yang membutuhkan pemimpin dengan keberanian dan kemampuan untuk mengubah arah dengan cepat dan memotivasi serta mempengaruhi karyawannya untuk mengikuti dan mendukung perubahan. Karena karyawan sering menganggap perubahan dalam suatu organisasi sebagai ancaman dan risiko terhadap identitas dan tujuan mereka, para pemimpin perlu menggambarkan perubahan sebagai sesuatu yang bukan ancaman dan bahwa perubahan diperlukan untuk keberlanjutan organisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah model kepemimpinan karismatik retorik efektif untuk melunakkan niat karyawan untuk meninggalkan perusahaan saat mengalami perubahan organisasi. Data dikumpulkan melalui survei online kepada 240 responden dan dianalisis menggunakan Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Square (SEM PLS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan karismatik retorik efektif dalam mempengaruhi karyawan untuk tetap tinggal saat terjadi perubahan organisasi.

Organizational life has become an inevitable feature of various changes. The COVID-19 Pandemic shows that organizations are forced to be ready to respond and adapt to any unexpected changes when they abruptly faced with condition to change existing operating standards as well as structures. When it comes to adapting business processes and work models, a capable company is one that is tough, agile, and innovative, which requires leaders with the courage and ability to change direction quickly and motivate and influence their employees to follow and support the changes. Because employees frequently perceive changes in an organization as a threat and risk to their self-identity and purpose, leaders need to portray change as something that is not a threat and that changes are required for the organization's sustainability. This research aims to investigate whether a charismatic rhetoric leadership model is effective to soften employee intentions to leave the company even during the organizational changes. Data is collected through an online survey to 240 respondents and is analysed using Structural Equation Modelling Partial Least Square (SEM PLS). The results shown that charismatic rhetoric leadership is effective in influencing employees to stay even during organizational changes."

"Sosok kepemimpinan karismatik yang memiliki daya tarik tertentu bagi masyarakat dan media akan mengalami masa-masa krisis ketika pemimpin tersebut mengambil kebijakan yang tidak populer (tidak pro-rakyat). Berita yang diambil berfokus pada sosok kepemimpinan Presiden RI 2014-2019 Joko Widodo pada masa krisis saat mengambil kebijakan kenaikan BBM (Bahan Bakar Minyak) dan saat pencalonan Kapolri oleh Presiden yang menuai sejumlah kontroversi hingga terjadi polemik antara KPK (Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi) dan Polri (Kepolisian Republik Indonesia). Populasi berita dalam penelitian ini adalah pemberitaan pada tiga media nasional yaitu Kompas, Media Indonesia dan Koran Sindo. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa adanya inkonsistensi media nasional dalam melakukan pemberitaan pada masa krisis, kemungkinan kecenderungan media terhadap sosok kepemimpinan karismatik Presiden Joko Widodo dan adanya tendensi kelanjutan keberpihakan media-media nasional sejak masa pemilihan umum 2014 yang membuat media nasional belum menjalankan perannya dalam mengawasi pemerintahan secara objektif.

News observed focusing on leadership figure of Joko Widodo on his early period of governance were specifically in period of the rising prices of fuel and controversial decision regarding president nomination on Budi Gunawan as Chief of Indonesia National Police which was further escalated into polemic between Corruption Eradication Commision and National Police. News outlets population of this research is comprised of Kompas, Media Indonesia, and Koran Sindo. The research concluded that there is media inconsistency in term of depicting crisis situation, possibility of media tendency protecting charismatic figure of President Joko Widodo, and continuation of national media orientation towards the figure since general election 2014 which makes it has yet perform its ideal role to be objectively overseeing government process."
