The aim of this research is to show Modalverben and its appearance in sentence reviewed by Wortstellung (word order). Modalverben is a distinctive and dependent verb that needs main verb (Vollverben) or Kopulaverben in infinitive form to create Modalverben sentence. German grammar is complicated, so it needs word order to determine the type of sentence. Word order by Karin Pittner and Judith Berman determined by Satzklammer (sentence bracket), Topologische Felder (topological field), and Verbstellungstypen (type of verb order). The result is word order of Modalverben in article ‘Die Pest in Zeiten der Cholera’ shows its verb function in determination of the type of sentence and its meaning.

"Sentence types and word-order patterns in Arabic have been a matter of debate and controversy for a long period of time. They were hotly discussed by the medieval Arab grammarians and continue to be a major topic of discussion among modern scholars. This book describes the development of the medieval grammarians' theory of sentence types; a development from the theory of 'amal, which lies at the heart of medieval Arabic grammatical tradition.".
"Each major topic is discussed with a view to explore the basic principles underlying the medieval grammarians' arguments. Special attention is given to conceptual problems arising from conflicts with the theory of 'amal. This is followed by an assessment of the contributions made by modern scholars to the analysis and description of the constructions involved. Modern Arabists and linguists are shown to have concentrated on word-order patterns rather than on sentence types, placing special emphasis on the functional aspects of word order variations in Arabic"

"This book provides an overview of recent psycholinguistic and theoretical investigations on the interplay between structural syntactic relations and role semantics. The focus herein lies on the interaction of case marking and word order with semantic prominence features, such as animacy and definiteness. The interaction of these different sorts of information is addressed from theoretical, time-insensitive, and incremental perspectives, or a combination of these. Taking a broad cross-linguistic perspective, this book bridges the gap between theoretical and psycholinguistic approaches to argument structure."

Rice, Keren
"Athapaskan languages are well known for their intricate morphology, in particular the complexity of their verbs. The significance of these languages for linguistic theory is widely acknowledged. In this book Keren Rice offers a rich typological survey of morpheme ordering in Athapaskan verbs, with implications for both synchronic grammar and language change. Arguing against a view that sees morpheme order in Athapaskan languages as templatic and essentially without principle, she shows that verb structure is in fact widely predictable across languages if appropriate syntactic factors and an overarching principle of semantic scope are taken into account. The presentation also includes a detailed study of argument and aspectual systems. This landmark volume is the first major comparative study of its type for the Athapaskan language family, combining descriptive depth with a contemporary theoretical perspective. Clear and insightful, it will be welcomed by Athapaskanists, typologists, and historical and theoretical linguists alike."

"Written in a simple style that requires no advanced mathematical or statistical background, A First Course in Order Statistics introduces the general theory of order statistics and their applications. The book covers topics such as distribution theory for order statistics from continuous and discrete populations, moment relations, bounds and approximations, order statistics in statistical inference and characterization results, and basic asymptotic theory. There is also a short introduction to record values and related statistics.
This classic text will aid readers in understanding much of the current literature on order statistics, a burgeoning field of study that is a requisite for any practicing statistician and an essential part of the training for students in statistics. The authors have updated the text with suggestions for further reading that readers may use for self-study.

"The purpose of this study is to analyze what trade - off theory and pecking order theory able to explain the financing decision in Indonesian capital market. In this study, determinant of trade - off theory are non - debt tax shields, size, and liquidity. The determinant of pecking order theory are protifibility, cash deficit and investment. Sample in this study are 40 manufacturing companies that active and liquid at Indonesian capital market over two years, from 2005 to 2006. Thus ,this study have 80 observations. Sample used the method of purposive sampling. Multiple regression model is used to test this hypothesis. The result of this trade - of theory approach is found that partially all proxy aren't statistically significant. But simultaneosly non debt tax shields, size and liquidity variable give statistically significant. While pecking order theory approach is found that partially only cash deficit and investment variable statistiscally significant. But simultaneously protability, cash, deficit and invesment variable have statistically significant. So, firms that go public at Indonesian capital amrket tend to follow pecking order theory than trade - off theory in their financing decision."

Hagabeon is the most imporant value in Batak Toba society. Hagabeon can be defined as happiness of having an offspring. In Batak Toba culture, the males, especially the oldest and only child, have a very important role in implementing the hagabeon value, since they are the only one who can pass down their family name. This purpose of this research is to examine the comparison of mate urgency on various psychological birth order. Mate urgency was measured using Skala Desakan Menikah (Putra, 2014), whereas psychological birth order was measured using the White-Campbell Psychological Birth Order Inventory (PBOI) created by Campbell, White, and Stewart (Campbell et. al, 1991). A total of 129 participants of this research are young adults male who belong to Batak Toba ethnic group. The results do not indicate a significant difference of mate urgency between participants who identify their psychological birth order as the oldest child, middle child, youngest child and only child.
