"Kotoran dan limbah air hewan sapi dalam suatu peternakan dapat menjadi polutan bagi udara, air, dan tanah yang cukup serius, Pengolahan lirnbah kotoran hewan ternak yang tepat perlu diterapkran untuk mencegah limbah tersebut memberikan dampak negatif bagi lingkungan sekitamya. Salah satu cara pcnanganan limbah dan kotoran hewan ternak sapi yang banyak diterapkan beberapa tahun terakhir adalah dengan memisahkan antara bagian padat dan cairnya. Pemisahan ini tentu saja memberikan keuntungan, antara lain meningkatkan efisiensi penampungan kotoran, memudahkan pemindahan, dan mengkonsentrasikan nutrisi yang berguna untuk keseburan tanaman pada bagian padat untuk digunakan sebagai pupuk. Pemisaban antara bagian padat dan cair kotoran sapi secara mekanis dapat dilakukan berdasarkan perbedaan densitas, bentuk, dan ukuran partikel kotoran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencapai proses pemisahan tersebut dengan hasil akhir kandungan air pada bagian padat seminimal mungkin. Pemisahan dilakukan dengan alat press screw separator, yang bekerja berdasarkan prinsip penyaringan dan penekanan sehingga cairan dapat diperas keluar dari bagian kotoran yang padat. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan merancangan dan memilih komponen­-komponen mesin yang digunakan pada alat press screw separator dengan memperhatikan proses aliran fluida melalui saringan. Alat Press Screw Separator ini akan diterapkan di Peternakan Ma’had Al-Zaytun, Subang Jawa Barat yang memiliki kurang lebih 1000 ekor sapi.

Manure and wastewater from dairy farms can seriously pollute the natural environments air, water and land. Hence, proper management of livestock's manure and wastewater must be carried out before they turn out to be hazardous to the vicinity. One of the most frequently implemented methods for dairy manure and wastewater handling in the past few years is solid-liquid separation. Solid-liquid separation is of great advantage as it increases the efficiency of storage lagoons. makes transportation and handling easier, and concentrates useful nutrients in the solid fraction that can then be utilized as fertilizer. The mechanical separation process can be done on the bases of density, size and shape differences. This research is aimed at attaining a separation process yielding the lowest possible water content in the final solid fraction. The separation is conducted by means of Press Screw Separator machine which, simply put, filters the slurry and squeezes out the slurry's liquid portion, which is basically water, so that the liquid portion can be separated from its solid counterpart. This research was conduc1cd by selecting the appropriate machine elements needed in constructing the Press Screw Separator machine, without disregarding the fluid flow of the separation process. The Press Screw Separa10r machine, as the ultimate result of this research, will be operated in Ma’had Al-Zaytun Farm, located in Subang, West Java which has approximately a thousand gairy cows."

"Kondisi fasilitas produksi atau mesin merupakan salah satu faktor penting yang perlu diperhatikan demi menjaga kelancaran proses produksi. Untuk mengurangi frekuensi kegagalan mesin dapat dilakukan dengan menerapkan pemeliharaan preventif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Pabrik Kelapa Sawit yang memproduksi Crude Palm Oil (CPO) dengan objek penelitian pada mesin screw press pada stasiun pengempaan. Saat ini, perusahaan telah menerapkan pemeliharaan preventif tetapi dinilai belum efektif karena downtime mesin masih tinggi, sekitar 76% dari waktu beroperasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menentukan interval waktu pemeliharaan preventif yang tepat untuk mesin screw press agar probabilitas mesin screw press beroperasi tanpa kegagalan dapat meningkat dengan analisis reliabilitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komponen worm screw, coupling, van belt, dan gearbox merupakan komponen kritis dari mesin press 2 dan mesin press 4. Interval pemeliharaan preventif untuk komponen tersebut pada mesin press 2 agar mencapai reliabilitas 60% berturut-turut yaitu 725 jam, 820 jam, 770 jam, dan 820 jam. Sedangkan untuk mesin press 4, interval pemeliharaan preventif untuk empat komponen berturut-turut yaitu 790 jam, 970 jam, 960 jam, dan 860 jam.

The condition of production facilities or machine is one of the crucial factors that need to be considered to maintain the smoothness of the production process. To reduce the frequency of machine failures, preventive maintenance can be implemented. This research was conducted at a Crude Palm Oil (CPO) Processing Plant, with the research object being the screw press machine at the pressing station. Currently, the company has implemented preventive maintenance, but it is considered ineffective due to high machine downtime, approximately 76% of the operating time. The aim of this research is to determine the appropriate interval for preventive maintenance for the screw press machine to increase the probability of operation without failure through reliability analysis. The research results show that the worm screw, coupling, van belt, and gearbox components are critical components of press machines 2 and 4. The preventive maintenance intervals for these components on press machine 2 to achieve 60% reliability are 725 hours, 820 hours, 770 hours, and 820 hours, respectively. Meanwhile, for press machine 4, the preventive maintenance intervals for the four components are 790 hours, 970 hours, 960 hours, and 860 hours, respectively."

"Recently, international trade regime has rejected cultural perceptions of what is safe to eat, overturning millennial of tradition. In WTO Agreement on Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures (SPS), science has been used as the arbiter in resolving disputes related to food safety. However, the SPS Agreement is under attack by many parties, critics cite concern on ethical, local culture, unpredictably changing technology, etc. The WTO-SPS approach is increasingly challenged for its balance in favor of economic consideration towards its a unique cultural identities. Food as culture and food as commerce. Dispute on Beef Hormones is the ideal example on this matter. The local perception of food and food safety, evolution of food production technologies, and security aspects of food, then being explored, in order to analyze the relationship between SPS Agreement, food tradition, science and technology. At the end, it is realized that no matter how strong the faith in science and economics, it is unwise to dismiss the deeply-rooted beliefs of many people in the world."

"This study investigated the optimum value of Archimedes Screw Turbine (AST) performance by taking into account blades number. This paper also addressed the design approach based on a fixed incline angle of 30°, where this paper also addressed the design approach. Variations of the single and double blades were experimentally carried out concerning the turbine power output, torque, and rotation speed. This study's aim was related to the optimum power output between two blade variations, while the manufacturing and design steps were addressed as well. In the design process, the obtained blade length dimension was 0.180 m and 0.269 m for the single and double blades. Furthermore, the overall turbine's length was 1.7m, and the inner and outer of the turbine's radius were 0.069m and 0.128m. Meanwhile, the manufacturing process began with turbine modeling, plate cutting, plate withdrawal (thread formation), welding, and attained finishing process. Based on the experimental result, a double blade turbine generated turbine power by 48.8W at an average rotational speed of 115.3 rpm. Moreover, a single blade turbine produced 37.5W with turbine power averaging a rotational speed of 109.8 rpm. It was obtained that the values of turbine efficiency were 42% and 38% for double and single turbine types, respectively. Based on this finding, it can be suggested that a double blade was more efficient than a single one. This study is beneficial for the design consideration of the AST system."

"Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui efektifitas penerapan prinsip-prinsip Standard Positive Parenting Program (Triple-P) untuk mengurangi perilaku mencuri pada anak. Penanganan perilaku mencuri pada anak penting dilakukan untuk menghindari terbentuknya pola perilaku bermasalah di kemudian hari. Salah satu faktor resiko yang dapat menyebabkan munculnya perilaku mencuri adalah rendahnya kualitas pengasuhan orangtua. Program intervensi Standard Triple-P akan menyasar pada kompetensi pengasuhan orangtua untuk mengurangi perilaku mencuri melalui peningkatan pengawasan, keterlibatan ayah, pemahaman kebutuhan anak serta penerapan aturan yang efektif. Intervensi Standard Triple-P terdiri dari 11 sesi yang dirancang sesuai manual program dengan modifikasi berdasarkaan kebutuhan partisipan. Partisipan penelitian adalah anak perempuan berusia 10 tahun 6 bulan yang menunjukkan masalah perilaku mencuri dengan kondisi Borderline Intellectual Functioning dan Child Affected By Parental Relationship Distress, serta ayah L yang berperan sebagai orangtua tunggal dengan kualitas pengasuhan yang rendah.
Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah single case subject design dengan bentuk penelitian kuasi ekperimen. Perubahan perilaku mencuri dilihat dari lembar pencatatan frekuensi perilaku mencuri dan alat ukur Eyberg Child Behaviour Inventory. Perubahan kompetensi pengasuhan ayah akan diketahui dari alat ukur Parenting Sense of Competence Scale dan Parental Scale.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penurunan frekuensi perilaku mencuri, skor masalah perilaku anak dan disfungsi pengasuhan serta peningkatan rasa kompeten ayah dalam melakukan pengasuhan. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan intervensi Standard Triple-P yang telah dimodifikasi sesuai kebutuhan partisipan terbukti efektif mengurangi frekuensi perilaku mencuri anak melalui peningkatan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan ayah dalam melakukan pengasuhan.

This study aims to know the effectiveness of applying the principles of Standard Positive Parenting Program (Triple-P) to reduce stealing behavior in children. The handling of stealing behavior in children is important to avoid the formation of problematic behavior patterns in the future. One of the risk factors that can lead to the appearance of stealing behavior is poor parenting quality. The Standard Triple-P intervention program will target parental care competencies to reduce stealing behavior through increased supervision, father involvement, understanding of the needs of children, and effective application of rules. Standard Triple-P intervention consists of 11 sessions designed according to the program manual with the modification based on participants' needs. The study participants were a 10-year-6-month-old girl (L) who demonstrated stealing behavior problem with Borderline Intellectual Functioning and Child Affected by Parental Relationship Distress condition and L's father who acted as single parent with poor parenting qualities.
The research method used is single case subject design with quasi experimental research form. Changes in stealing behavior are seen from the recording sheets of the frequency of stealing behavior and the Eyberg Child Behavior Inventory measuring instrument. Changes in the competence of parenting will be known from the Parenting Sense of Competence Scale and Parental Scale instruments to find out.
The results of the study show a decrease in the frequency of stealing behavior, the score of child behavior problems, parenting dysfunction, and enhancement on the competence of father in parenting. This suggests that the implementation of the modified Standard Triple-P interventions according to the needs of the participants has proven effective in reducing the frequency stealing behavior, through the increase on knowledge and skills of father in parenting."
